A Guest Host
Date of Scene: 29 September 2022
Location: Fangtasia
Synopsis: Aurora got to be a guest host in Fangtasia, and she got to meet the Human Torch and an alien for her trouble. Oh, there was also Mary Jane Watson.
Cast of Characters: Jeanne-Marie Beaubier, Johnny Storm, Grail, Mary Jane Watson

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
Club Fangtasia is a dream for vampire fans and roleplayers, a club set like a vampiric castle, where guests are encouraged to dress up and roleplay, while drinks are served under the guise of blood bags or goblets of bloody elixirs. Quite the hoot, and Aurora dressed the part, with a flowing black gown embroidered with red highlights, and cut like a vampiric nobility dress one could imagine from films. She goes about mingling with guests, taking photos, and doing small talk.

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm isn't exactly the usual sort for this kind of place and he sticks out a bit, if he didn't already because of his famous face. Johnny's hair is recently cut and neatly styled and he's wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and sneakers. His body is fit and muscular and he's clean shaven. He's also a little uncomfortable, having recently gotten out of rehab only to find himself now in a bar full of party animals. He goes up to the bar and raps on it, "Just a coke. Designated," he says. Not true, of course, but easier than explanation. He scans the crowd idly, lingering for a moment on the attractive Aurora, "Very Elvira," he says appreciatively.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
While Johnny may have not dressed up for the vampire theme, he is Johnny freakin' Storm, and Aurora immediately spots him, and shimmies over towards him, with a big smile on her face, "I never expected one of the Fantastic Four to be into vampires...does that give me better chances for a date?" She jokes with a wink. Or doesn't, maybe it was a legit flirt. But she wouldn't flirt on the job, would she? "A coke? That's no fun, give him a blood bag, those are fun!" She leans in to whisper in Johnny's ear, "don't worry, it's just a yummy cocktail, not real blood."

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm manages a smile, "I have all kinds of interests. I was way into Anne Rice for a while as a teenager," he admits, taking a sip of his soda, He waves off the blood bag, "I'm good, I promise. Somehow blood never seemed that appetizing to me. But goth girls, well, goth girls make the world go 'round, so to speak. "I'm not sure how good of dating material I am, but I'm certainly not saying no," he says.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"So what does a super hot superhero of the Fantastic Four has for interests?" Aurora asks Johnny, while politely looking without touching, as she reaches to take the blood bag refused by Johnny, sticking a straw in it and taking a sip, before licking her lips and savouring it, "mmm....O negative, delish!" She does nod at the saying about Goth Girls, "ain't that the truth." The mention he's not saying no getting an arched brow from her, "now that's interesting, maybe see how the night goes...welcome to Club Fangtasia!"

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm smiles, "Thanks for the welcome. Oh, you know - racing cars, skiing. I tried being in a rock band but it turns out I have the musical sense of a sewer rat," he sighs. "I don't worry too much about vampires, given that...well, biting me would be probably a bad idea. Well, without my permission anyway," he adds with a wink. "I keep trying to settle down and be mature, act my age, all that jazz. Never seems to stick."

Grail has posed:
Honestly, this was not Grail's destination at all. She barely had one to begin with but the attractions at Fangtasia have drawn a crowd and that crowd is filled with people dressed like supernatural creatures. For someone like Grail, she has no sense of 'roleplay' or 'dress up' and so these people not being supernatural beings doesn't cross her mind. Instead, she's now curious.

Of course, her being a 6'2", grey skinned woman with solid red eyes all dressed in black means that most people don't even think for a moment she might be someone who could tear this building down while standing in it. Just another person in dress up. Of course, she still draws eyes given her 'costume' is 'very realistic' and her height is rather out of the ordinary, further enhanced by her boots.

Once inside, she stands near the entrance, looking around over the top of the crowd trying to determine the purpose of this odd place.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"Mmmm...I'd love to try and be in a band sometime, but I have a pretty good gig with the modelling, turns out I'm pretty good at looking good," Aurora laughs at her own self depricating humor. "Oh...so biting is off the table? Good to know!" Aurora playfully remarks while exposing her fake fangs, which honestly, look pretty legit. Club Fangtasia sure provided her with top tier costume and makeup. "I think that's smart, people who grow older, die faster," Aurora says as if it was some sagely message, before sipping more of her 'blood bag'.

Aurora does look Grail's way when she walks in, because, honestly, that height is tough to miss. Was that even with heels? She tries to sneak a better look.

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm shakes his head, "If I come home a vampire, my sister would kill me. Not to mention that a vampire who can burst into flame seems like a conflict of interest," he says. "But I'm sure we can have plenty of fun without having to resort to defying the laws of life and death."

He, too, can't help but notice Grail, zeroing in on the grey-skinned woman warily, "She a regular? She looks...formidable."

Grail has posed:
Grail doesn't really play the weave through a crowd game. She's far more used to people avoiding her path. So, when she does see people gathered around a bar, she zeroes in on that and starts that way. She knows food and drink when she sees it. That, at least, she can understand.

Mostly, people simply move out of her way as she walks toward the bar though one man is unlucky enough to get bumped by her, think about saying something and then...keep it to himself.

If one does peek, her boots do indeed have heels. Her height is likely pushed to at least 6'5" tall with them. When she reaches the bar, she places a hand on it in a gap that is available that seems to widen upon her arrival and she points to the bartender.

"Get me whatever your establishment is most known for, food and drink." She nods her head and then looks to Johnny and Jeanne, giving both a once over though she does linger a bit more on Jeanne and her outfit than on Johnny.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"That's a very good point, don't see too many vampires who play with fire," Aurora laughs, quite amused by Johnny's observation that eluded her to that point. "I would hate to play with those laws, don't need some good after my ass." As if reconsidering, she quickly adds, "though I'll accept Thor, he's a looker." She shrugs at the question about Grail, "I wouldn't know, first time here, took a gig because it seemed fun, and it is!"

As Grail joins them, Aurora looks her over, and grins, "that is quite a show, are you supposed to be an Elder Vampire then? Hell, you look taller than Johnny!"

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm smiles, "You seem like a perfect fit. I'd never have known it was your first day," he says. "Most gods are just kind of people with powers, not so much better than anybody else. In some cases, they're a lot worse," he says.

He regards Grail more warily, taking a long sip of his soda, "You heard the lady. What's the vampire equivalent of a bowl of pretzels?" he asks.

Grail has posed:
"I am not aware of what an elder vampire is but I am not." Grail responds to Jeanne before looking then to Johnny and then she tilts her head to the side. She looks back to Jeanne and leans down toward her a little and hmms.

"Is that what you are the rest are? Vampires?" She then stands up straight again and looks around at the various people here. She looks at each one with more curiosity now that she has a word to match the strange form of dress. She turns back around when what appears to be a 'bloody martini' is served and she sniffs at it while the bartender informs that the food order will take longer.

Grail picks up the drink by the stem and sniffs at it before eying how small it is and she simply drinks it all in one gulp before considering the flavor.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"Awww, thank you so much, I'll have to take it as a reference of course, praise from Johnny Storm is worth a lot!" Aurora notes, looking very pleased indeed with the flattery, as she makes it a point to loudly suck the rest of her bloodbag.

"Oh...crispy bones, of course!" Aurora answers without missing a beat, she did come prepared for the role tonight. "Oh everyone's a vampire here," Aurora answers Grail, "except those who are not...it's up to you to decide if you play along or not. It's quite fun though, I'm the Diva of Blood," she says with a cryptic air.

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm sips his coke, "Oh, I'm one of those secret celebrity vampires, the kind no one knows exists. I bet that's actually true. There has to be at least one Hollywood type who's a vampire or something," he says.

He still has a strong sense of menace off of Grail, probably just because she's inherently threatening and he has a long history of having to fight giant tall aliens who decide to make Earth their kickball. "You new to this planet?" he says and it's not hostile, he's more used to dealing with aliens than most people after all.

Grail has posed:
Glancing at the bartender at the mention of 'Crispy bones' and Grail considers that a moment before she looks back then to Jeanne-Marie. Her eyes stare for a long moment before she looks around again, seeming to wear a look of mild confusion combined with derision.

"Fun?" She asks of the woman and then looks back to her, "I decide?" She then seems to suck in an annoyed breath as she begins to realize something. Then she blinks and looks to Johnny again. She narrows her eyes at him as he seems to put things together. She shifts slightly on her feet before she nods her head.

"I am new to this planet." She states simply enough. Her eyes going back to the drink she just swallowed and then looking to Johnny again before looking then to Jeanne.

"Why are people so attracted to this drink? Based on flavor alone, I'd have assumed it was poisoned but others appear to be drinking it eagerly."

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"Oooo, I like the sense of mystery, Johnny, do you have a special vampire name?" Aurora asks curiously, before laughing at his suggestion, "you think some vampires are actors? That's a funny thought!" And then Grail just elevates the level of role play, and she blinks, "oh...like, an alien? I don't know if this is what Fangtasia is about, I think it's mostly for vampire play." Rolling her eyes, Aurora quips, "maybe alcohol isn't for you, I think Gustav mixes mean drinks, the blood bag and blood goblet are to die for!"

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm winks at Aurora, "They call me the Blonde Bomber," he teases. To Grail, he adds, "Welcome to Earth. The drink is alcoholic - it makes humans feel delirious in fun ways. It can be addictive. That's why I don't do it anymore. I...lost control. But it's good that I can be around it and not be too tempted. Good sign for my willpower. I used to be terrible at resisting temptation. Still am, in some ways," he admits.

"If you need any help adjusting, come by the Baxter Building sometime. The Fantastic Four is always happy to be part of outreah to extraterrestrial visitors."

Grail has posed:
"I don't care what Fantasia is for or what Alcohol is for based on what he has to say." She points at Johnny and looks to him. She then tilts her head before she slow blinks at him. She stares for a long moment before she actually smiles and then starts to laugh a little. She holds her hand up to her mouth and laugh smore before shaking her head.

"Fantastic four?!" She laughs more. It's not exactly, melodic. She's someone laughing in amusement who has had very little practice with amusement. She's far more practiced at mocking, fighting, and death. She shakes her head as she sighs.

"This planet is just filled with the insane." She states simply enough before looking to Jeanne and then at Johnny.

"Are all these people just humans playing?" She looks around before shaking her head as she gestures at them, "Your planet's people truly have too much time on their hands."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
And in comes one redhead over and moves to glance over as sh hears things. She recognizes Johnny Storm, and her eyes go wide. "Oh, wow." Then she sees the more familiar Jeanne-Marie, "Hey there! I heard you were managing the club and i was able to fit it into my schedule for a bit. How you doing?" She would give a wave over at Aurora and then hear the bit on blood.

"I guess that must really suck. And who's your friend here?" She would glance over at Johnny, hearing the 'extraterrestrial' and then huh, giving another glance over at Grail, "And the Fantastic Four are a.. Big thing over here on Earth. They've done a lot of things."

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"Blonde Bomber is not your typical vampire name, but I do like it," Aurora admits, enjoying the idea of just having a conversation with Johnny Storm. The tidbit he reveals to Grail has her curious, "really? You were an alocholic? Did you burn something accidentally while under the influence?"

But listening to the exchange between Johnny and Grail, she also realizes something, "wait...you're a legit alien?" She asks Grail, surprised. "Hey, that's rude!" Aurora frowns at Grail's assessment of humanity.

And there comes Mary Jane, the epitome of modelling, and someone at a level Aurora hasn't quite reached, "oh wow, didn't expect you to drop by MJ, good to see you!" Aurora greets, "I'm not quite managing, just did a gig to play hostess for the night, club gets exposure, and I get free drinks, it's a win-win really! Want one on me? The blood bag is really good, though goblet is classier way to enjoy it."

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm smiles and greets MJ and then nods to Aurora, "Ah, not that long ago actually. I think I just...I don't know, I just let it take too much of a hold of me. I'm not good at moderation. I tend to do everything at top speed. But being a drunk and going fast don't go well together. I crashed a few too many times."

He doesn't feign too much modesty at MJ's words, "We are kind of a big deal. And we're just humans, too, even if we do have powers, some of us. But you won't find a finer mind in the galaxy than Reed Richards. And there's nobody more versed in dealing with aliens than us. Both the friendly and unfriendly sort. I hope you're not here to cause trouble, stranger. We've had enough of that the last few years, I think."

Grail has posed:
A look over at Mary Jane and Grail rolls her eyes before looking at the arriving food, staring at it briefly before she returns her attention to Mary Jane. She hears Johnny agree with her and Aurora calling her 'Rude' before she rolls her eyes.

"One, I suppose, can be useful and also have a strange choice in name." She shrugs and then glances to the side at Aurora again and then blinks, "And I don't care what is rude or what isn't. Humans are far too focused on their frivolities." She nods as if that were simply that before she then looks to Johnny and smirks.

"Fear not, Blonde Bomber, I have a purpose here and it does not involve causing too much trouble." She chuckles, "Be that as it may, I may go to your Baxter Building at some point. See what is so fantastic."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod over at Grail, "Well, they've done a lot of good for th galaxy. They've driven off Galactus from attacking here, helped stop the Shi'Ar invasion and worked against the Brood and the Chitauri when they attacked. They've helped safeguard the planet and a lot of other things as well." Going jus ton those bits she's heard of that are a little important beyond Earth.

Nodding over at Jeanne-Marie, "Well, looks like you have a pretty unique turnout." She would agree. "And one really famous guy." She would flash a smile to Johnny, "ANd I hope, Sir, that your time collecting yourself went well. And is really important. A lot of people wouldn't have the bravery to do that."

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"I honestly didn't think aliens were real," Aurora admits, "I thought it was only for movies." Yeah, she's not the most caught up on current event, and probably didn't really bother to learn about the history of the Attack on New York.

"Imagine saying that to a model," Aurora snaps at Grail, apparently taking offense at her talking about human frivolities. Her visage not looking quite as accomodating anymore. "I'll go back to mingling, I am here to do a job, see you guys..." she waves with a warm smile, specifically to MJ and Johnny, before waving less amicably at Grail, as she turns to go to a different area.

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm nods, "I used to think that, too, a long time ago. Before I went to space myself. Before a lot of things," he says. He blushes a bit when MJ acknowledges his fame but, on the other hand, he can't deny she's right about it. He lets Aurora go back to mingling as he regards Grail warily. "Feel free to visit," he says. "I'm glad to hear you're not here to cause trouble. I'd much rather make friends than more enemies," he says, peering at MJ for a moment as she says she's a model, "You do look familiar..."

Grail has posed:
Looking over at Mary Jane, Grail considers her words before idly considering the being of Galactus. She seems to recall hearing something about a Galactus but she's not terribly familiar. Such a being would never dare come near Apokolips. Some of the other stuff sounds vaguely familiar before she simply shrugs.

"I imagine that is rather impressive here." She nods her head and then looks ove rat JOhnny with a more appraising look before she blinks at Jeanne-Marie and doesn't seem to understand her attitude. She just shakes her head and then looks over at Johnny again. She considers his words before laughing a little.

"Oh, I didn't say I brought no trouble." She states with a smirk, "Just that it won't be much by me. Still, that being said, I am looking for those that can fight and so, I will likely visit you and yours." She pushes up from the bar and takes one of the 'bones' that showed up before gesturing at them, "You two can have these. I do not find them appetising." And wiht that she starts for the door.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod over at Grail, "Yeah, nice to meet you. And I.. Think that you can find a lot of people who can fight on Earth. There's a lot of them so depending on whom you're after or what you need them for you can probably find someone or something that can lend you aid." Given how mostly Grail is being non-specific, Mary Jane doesn't add more ot the fact. "And take care, best of luck and nice to meet you."
