Synopsis: The robot and the widow talk about food and who can cook at GIRL!
Cast of Characters: Natasha Romanoff, Vivian Vision

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff is currently sitting over in one of the small rooms off of the lobby of GIRL. She has a small paper on her lap which she's skimming over. It has a variety of data and events on the current political climate in the Shi'Ar empire - at least, thsoe bits that are known on Earth and what bits of things SWORD has chosen to pass down the line.

Vivian Vision has posed:
Vivian Vision is a regular attendee at GIRL. Always making cookies and cakes in the kitchen while remotely working on her science projects. Today her trip to GIRL is no different. Except that the kitchen is low on supplies.

So when the synthezoid teenager comes in it's with grocery bags filled with flour, chocolate, sugar and eggs. Plus all the other things she might need for a truely industrial quantity of cupcakes.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would glance over at Vivian, taking a moment to shuffle away what she had been reading, "Hello, Vivian. Your turn to restock the kitchen and to make snacks?" She would inquire, going to fold the paper up and over to tuck it away in a bag she had taken with her. Then going to stand up.

Vivian Vision has posed:
"We don't really take turns," Vivian admits with a shrug. "I do not generally trust my Great Aunt to cook without making it something... experimental. And many of the other members are not really interested or willing to make snacks."

Which is a polite way of saying they're not really able to cook at all...

"Kaida and Supergirl are both capable in the kitchen however."

She glances around. Natasha is probably aware she doesn't need to 'look' at something to 'see' it. Her senses capable of scanning the room effortlessly. "I could just get things ordered remotely and shipped to the building but it lacks the personal touch."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would take a moment to laugh softly, "I see. And I take it that there have been a few.. Incidents where Nadia has taken out some of Janet's things and accidentally put them over into some of the general consumables then?" That was what they meant by 'experimental', after all.

"And how much of what she makes does Kaida end up eating on her own? And does Supergirl particularly care about what she's making? I would offer to assist you but what I prefer to make likely is not appealing to most of you girls."

At the 'ordered remotely' she would laugh. "I suppose. Some others find cooking and preparing food to be relaxing."

Vivian Vision has posed:
Vivian Vision tilts her head. "No? I mean she attempts unique bonding of elements. Taking molecular gastronomy to a level which is beyond what anyone else in the world would even consider." She shrugs. "Valeria might experiment with food in that sort of way though. But not at GIRL."

She blinks a few times.

"Kaida makes a sort of super high nutritional value tablets. While Supergirl makes things which remind her of her home. She's actually quite an excellent chef."

"I enjoy the process of making food for people. But I prefer seeing the enjoyment of them eating it over making it. But really I just meant I could have had the /materials/ delivered."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would nod over atthe description. "People surprise you often." she would tap her fingers together and watch over. "I don't get any particular enjoyment from cooking, but I can appreciate those whom did and that they find something for doing it for other people. I am, however, sure that I would not want to be around what Valeria considers to be cooking experiments. Nor do I think that anywhere but the Baxter Building has the supression systems built in that are capable of handling it." She would quip over lightly.

"And how goes your own research, then?"

Vivian Vision has posed:
"People don't generally surprise me a lot," Vivian points out casually. "I have predictive models which allow me to estimate what people will say and the things they will do. But I don't as a rule tell anyone how accurate they are because people find it... disturbing knowing just how frequently I know what they'll say before they do..."

"As for Valeria in the kitchen... Yes that is totally accurate. The Baxter building is the only place properly equipped. I don't really understand why she can't cook. She just doesn't have the knack I guess."

"I'd have thought your training would have included cooking and food preparation for undercover missions?"

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would laugh, "I see. So how have you found your accuracy to hold up when it comes to your predictability ratios? There's always room to refine your algorithms and predictions to get some improvements."

The talk of confirming what Valeria is like has her laugh softly. A rare enough laugh from Natasha. Likely feigned to some degree but for politeness. It's rather hard to tell in any case.

"It does. However, I rarely prepare food unless I'm required to. I don't have the time or interest for it unless it's required for my operations, as you evaluated."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"Depends on the person really. Sometimes as much as ninety percent," Vivian confirms earnestly. "People with more... exotic upbringings like yourself are harder to predict." She adjusts the bags of groceries. "I find cooking relaxing. Baking at least is like chemistry. It's all set quantities and precise timings."

"And then the results bring happyness to my friends. Which makes it very rewarding."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would nod, "Fair enough. Sometime I should see how I fare up against your predictive algorithms. It would be a point for me to see if I can improve my own skills, if you would find the prospect interesting to try sometime." She would offer over to Vivian for thoughts.

Vivian Vision has posed:
"Generally speaking I can cheat to some degree," Vivian admits. "Micro-expressions change based on mood. And the shapes peoples faces form indicate which letters they will try say. That in turn lets me establish the words. Most words have logical follow ons. It's really just a case of building suitable tree diagrams."

"I'd be happy to try see how well I can predict what you're going to say though. If you'd like to test yourself and your ability to hide your micro-expressions."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would nod, "excellent. I'll be sure to take you up on it. It would be good for the two of us to get some feedback and training. And your analytical programs are highly useful. Do ensure that you keep them updated. And I wish you well over with your cooking and making.. Snacks for later. Do make sure that Nadia doesn't mix anything that she had from her mother by accident next time she snacks."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"I don't really have regular 'updates'," Vivian points out. "I simply naturally evolve through experience like any other living person would." She looks down at her supplies. "I will leave something for you to try. Or try leave it. It's hard to stop people consuming cakes here."

"As for things Nadia may have got from Janet... I already try make sure she doesn't put Pym particles in the food."

She nods to herself, then holoprojects a hand waving. "Anyway I should leave you to your reading. It was a pleasure talking with you Agent Romanoff."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would nod over at Vivian, "Take care, and I hope your cooking goes well. I probably won't be in here for a few days unless something comes up and Have to review security. I have some separate assignments that I'll be engaged in for SHIELD and the Avengers. Good luck and I hope the team enjoys the treats." The redhead would give a stiff nod, then depart.
