Despite Rogue having made her peace with this most recent disappearing act, Jubilee decides she's going to find that ne'er do well and deliver some bespoke justice!
Cast of Characters: Rogue, Jubilation Lee

Rogue has posed:
Rogue had been dealing with quite a bit since Remy's 'mutant massacre' news came out on the day before Thanksgiving. But she's been trying to take it in stride, even with Remy choosing to leave the school, and thus leave behind whatever it was they had together.

Now, following the day's classes, Rogue is just returning to her bedroom with Jeepers on a leash, pushing the door open she leads the dog in and reaches down to detach the leash to let him go, which he thusly takes off toward the bathroom doorway where his food and water dish are located, soon to follow the sounds of dog slurping up water vigorously.

Rogue drops the leash on her bed and steps over to her desk to lift the top of her laptop up, and key the screen on, then removes her jacket to drape it over her chair, the bedroom door still ajar in this mostly quiet section of the mansion.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
The Duchess of the Great Vampire Nation of Westchester approaches! Her arrival is not announced by any herald, nor is it pre-scheduled. The ominous, disembodied baritone Latin chants have not been summoned. Tonight, it's just a lot of commotion in the halls as students try their best to stay out of her way on her path to...

Rogue's slightly ajar door. "Oh, for crying out loud..." she mutters under her breath before reaching out and closing the door.

    BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM

Fists so small should not be able to create such a racket, but there's Jubilation Lee, standing in the hall at the door to Rogue's room. She's still wearing her sleepwear: cozy pajama pants and a yellow tanktop. Her hair is a catastrophe. She shifts her weight to one side and rests both fists on her hips. It's the classic 'what the hell?!' posture.

When the door is inevitably opened, Jubilee pulls one of Remy's farewell notes out from the waistband of her pajama pants and waves it in front of Rogue's face. "What the hell?!" she almost yells.

Rogue has posed:
Jeepers erupts in to barks. He bounds out of the bathroom at high doggy speeds, water dripping from his muzzle as he charges at the bedroom door, barking his fool head off. Rogue had looked over at the door when it closed, and her eyes widened when the banging happened, but the dog's reaction has her hissing.

"Jeeps, stop it." She says to him, though he of course can't listen... it's dog stuff, they can't stop once they start!

Bark bark bark bark bark! Woof!

Right up to Rogue pulling the door open and the presence of the Vampire on the other side being revealed. Jeepers stops barking then. In fact, he stops barking, and turns to run to his corner of the room where he has a toy chest filled with dog toys, and a big comfy bed that he jumps on to, sits down, and stares at the door from....

Rogue just eyes Jubes, then the letter and she sighs. "It's not my fault. He did it to himself." She says back to the Duchess then, one hand on the door, the other on her hip as she looks down, then reaches that hand up from her hip to brush her bangs out of her face. She regards Jubes again. "He took off, as he ever does."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Hsssssssss! As much of a handle as Jubilee has on her inner darkness these nights, there's just no way she'll be able to not react to that dog. Her mouth is open, fangs, tongue, all of it! Hsssssss! Hsssss! Jubes sounds like a barista who just can't get the steamer working exactly right. Once Jeepers goes off in his hidey hole, Jubilee glares in his direction for a couple seconds longer before collecting herself. The fangs stay out, of course, since she's the worst vampire in the state and doesn't remember how to hide them.

"I /know/ it's not your fault! I'm not here to..." Jubilee glances down at where the hallway abruptly transitions to become Rogue's room. "You gonna invite me in or what? This is humiliating." She gestures vaguely at her awkward spot out in the hall.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue sighs sharply and then makes a swirling hand gesture like she's casting a spell. "Come in." She tells the Vampire, causing Jeepers to bark once more from his bed before he turns and bites a corner of it. He then starts off toward the bathroom, dragging his bed with him, leaving a trail of doggy toys in his wake.

"Jeeps...." Rogue says exasperatedly, but the dog is soon gone, bed and all, in to the bathroom.

Another sigh, and Rogue steps over to her bed to sit down. "What did your note say?" She asks. "I didn't think you'd even mind him going...."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
As soon as the words are said, Jubilee's shoulders relax. She steps forward and enters the room and gives it no further thought, like it's totally normal to not enter someone's room unless she's invited to come inside. Isn't that true for the living, too? Apparently the philosophical issues are not within Jubilee's present interests because as soon as she's invited, she moves swiftly towards Rogue's bed. With the speed afforded to her by her recent wake-and-slurp session, Jubilee's movements happen in a blur. The most obvious motion is that of her arms, both being flung straight up into the air. When Rogue finally sits down on the bed, there's no longer a top sheet. It falls gently over her, loosely covering her form.

"I'm not kidnapping you, Rogue," Jubilation explains quietly, hugging the mutant tightly. "Just... hug insurance. I don't want to find out what'll happen to either of us if we touch."

Jubilation did not come to yell at Rogue, but the question -- now asked from under a sheet -- earns a little frown. Still hugging the southern sheet-ghost, Jubes shrugs a shoulder. "I don't know, I didn't read it carefully. Honestly, I thought /you/ wrote it... I mean... He's got such nice handwriting!"

Finally, Jubilee lets go of Rogue and steps back, though makes no motion to help take the sheet off of the Belle. "Rogue, look, I'm not gonna tell you I think Remy's the greatest guy on the planet. I'm not even gonna tell you I think he's the greatest guy for you. But, that doesn't mean I want him running off on you..."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue has her eyes down at her gloved hands when the sheet antics begin. She's looking up, and side to side, when that same sheet comes settling down over her head. "Wait, what--" She says before being completely engulfed beneath the fabric of the bed linen. Then. She just sits there motionless beneath said sheet, accepting her fate and current state. When the hug comes, she just continues to sit there, entirely without motion.

"Jubilee..." Rogue finally says. "You know that Jean and Emma helped me figure out a way to shunt the touch thing, right? So long as I'm not, like scared or super pissed off. Which I'm neither at the moment..."

Of course, she gets headaches when she leaves it 'off' for very long, but she hasn't told anyone about that yet, dun dun dun...

"Remy has left me a bunch. Like six times in the past four years. He does this. He can't handle how nice it is here. It bothers him cause his childhood sucked so much, I think anyway..."

Her voice is a little muffled, on account of the sheet and all.

"Thanks though..." She says, one hand rising up beneath the sheet to try and return the hug to her friend.

"I think he'll be back, some day. But we as a 'thing' is... gonna not be a thing for a long time, I imagine...."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Yeah, but still..." is Jubilee's response to Rogue's safeguards. She's not taking any chances. tAs Rogue starts justifying the cajun's habitual disappearing act, Jubilation begins pacing back and forth. Back and forth. Angrier and angrier, hands akimbo as she verbally beats back all of Rogue's points about it.

"No," is her first response. To which part? "No." All of it. She shakes her head a few times in rapid succession. "No, no, no. He's coming back."

When the sheet comes off, Rogue will find that Jubilee has stopped pacing and resumed that hands-on-hips angry pose from earlier. "I've sent out the bats... /and/ the ravens... /and/ the spies. The nosiest of all the Nosy-feratu's. Plus... Google. I'm finding that miserable good-for-nothing. /Tonight/!"

For someone so dead, there's a lot of life burning in Jubilee's eyes right now. Uh oh...

Rogue has posed:
Once the sheet is pulled off of her, Rogue is sitting there with her hands in her lap, her white and brown hair all askew around her head, white locks draped over her face. She just sighs, 'foofing' out the hair strands before they just wave back down against her face.

Once Jubilee starts to rattle off all of her minions that she's going to employ to find Remy, the Belle raises her right green gloved hand up to sweep her hair back up out of her face, draping the white back across the brown in wild directions.

Does Jubilee even have minions? Or is it just more theatrics, like the door thing... Rogue isn't sure.... She knows other Vampires exist, in a weird cult-like union around Westchester, she's seen them, been to one of their big ceremonies after all, but yeah, that seemed like a Live Action Role Play kind of thing, awkward!

"You're gonna find him?" Rogue asks. "He may already be half way to Louisianna again, Jubes... Really. It's fine. Life goes on here. I told him to stay, or we're through, and he left. He made his choice."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Does she even have minions? She thinks she does. But, to say Jubilee knows what's going on in her little slice of the vampire map of the Earth would be hilariously false. Many of her courtiers are useless and most of the good ones have already sworn their allegiance to the various secret plots to assassinate her. Her ravens rarely make it out of Westchester. Scrambling the Bat Squad usually takes way longer than it's supposed to. The Nosy-feratus rarely take her calls and her spymasters lie to her a lot. Still, there are some in Westchester who are loyal to the Duchess and, sometimes, she gets what she needs.

    Maybe she will tonight?

"Yeah, he made his choice, and I've made mine," is all she says before heading for the door that leads out to the hallway. For once, Jubes isn't going on with some silly BS meant to deflect responsibility or hide behind a false smile. Her mind is made up. Remy will be brought back to Xavier's, one way or another...

Rogue has posed:
Rogue watches the Vampire pace, she stares until Jubilee starts to march out of the room...

"Whatever you're scheming, remember that I don't want him hurt. Oh, and could you shut the door on your way out?"

From the bathroom, Jeepers barks again.
