Date of Scene: 05 December 2022
Location: Danger Room
Synopsis: Warren and Gabby plot danger room fun. Roberto and Sam join in turning it into Star Wars days of old. Gabby has a few bad memories touched on and storms out.
Cast of Characters: Warren Worthington, Gabby Kinney, Roberto da Costa, Samuel Guthrie

Warren Worthington has posed:
One thing the billionaire playboy with the feathered wings and golden hair doesn't have at his Manhattan penthouse is a danger room. He could probably make space for one somewhere in the building, but the tech isn't readily available for even someone of his means is able to get, so when he needs practice that isn't just flying around the skies of New York City, Warren Worthington (the third) comes here.

He is dressed in a pair of board shorts, and...that's it. Currently he has the DR set on an arial program where he is constantly turning, diving, climbing, and banking through various hoops in the sky as they light up in a undetermined pattern, shrinking smaller each second once they light up.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
It had been awhile since Gabby had been able to use the Danger Room herself. Spending time here for the holidays was as good an excuse as any to get some extra practice in. She'd already done her usual morning jog (something she had to admit was not as nice when it was cold out). She doesn't really bother to get changed out of the leggings and long sleeved runners jacket she'd used before coming here.

As a routine was already running she steps into the observation booth to watch a bit, leaning against the console to peer out the window at the aerial acrobatics. With some amusement she clicks on the microphone to speak into the room, "Morning Warren. Going to be awhile?"

Warren Worthington has posed:
Zipping through one of the rings in the air the high-flying Angel extends his wings to their full wingspan to suddenly brake and stop, flapping them to hover in the air just after Gabby's voice emits over the speaker in the room.

"Pause program." Warren mutters, the computer recognizing his voice and the holographic rings and everything stops while Warren flits over towards the window that peers into the DR.

Seeing Gabby on the other side, Warren smiles and offers a wave, wiping a bit of sweat from his brow with the back of his hand. "Sorry, did you have the DR booked? I didn't see anyone on the schedule. I can come back later and finish my workout if you need the room."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney watches this all with some amusement and a grin. It really wasn't every day she got to see how full sized wings worked on a person, and it was always a little interesting to see. Given she worked with a few angels in the past who didn't really use the wings, especially. "No, I peeked before my run and saw it wasn't booked, too. I guess we both had the same idea," she admits with a little laugh.

"It's okay though, I can wait. I can't really join in the air things," she points out with a gesture toward the room itself. "I mean unless you like throwing people through the air a lot."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren laughs, hovering there in front of the window. He shrugs, "I'm sure we can figure out a scenario that we could do together, this is just my old ariel program. I guess I could make it more interesting by playing a game of catch while going through the patterns."

Warren grins, "Not sure how that's good training for you though. We will have to figure out something for you to do other than be a human ball."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney is in the control room overlooking the Danger Room, which had the program paused. Warren had been working on his flight when she came in and is now considering that scenario with a glance back down to the console. "Can you *touch* the hoops? I'm sure the point is not to," she reasons thoughtfully while reaching out to go over the display on the screen. "Hmm. I mean I can be acrobatic, too, and not the first time I've fallen through the air," she reasons. "You're right though, it'd mostly be on you there. Other than tucking, rolling, flipping."

"Back when I went by 'Drop Bear' they liked to let me bail out of the Black Bird at opponents. Took awhile to heal that," she has to admit with a chuckle as she makes a few adjustments. The rings in the air aren't the only thing now, there's also some poles like an aerial acrobat might swing from. "There. That could make things more interesting. Should we give it a shot?" She teases. "Maybe make a goal at each end..." Okay maybe she's having a bit too much fun with the program.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Well I /could/ touch the rings...if I wanted to be tazered. The point was to not, yeah." laughs Warren with a shrug. "The last time I was in here Iara distracted me and I ended up getting a nice burn along my wing."

He continues to hover, the large angelic wings flapping to keep him aloft, He glances back as Gabby changes the program slightly, "That could work. If we were going to have goals on the side we really should have more people though. We could have teams."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa walks in dresses causally, at least casually for Berto, slacks, a long sleve collared polo or some obnoxiously priced designer brand, leather belts and leather designer running shoes. He walks through the door leading the eldest Guthrie, "No, Kitty found it when she was doing back ups. It's still in the computer, that old Star Wars program, she said she didn run it but you know how nosy and geeky Pryde is. There is not way she walked away from that. We played that for a whole year with the gang. I just wanna see what it's like after all this time. I think we even to Monet to join in and C3PO once... " Berto raises an eyebrow when he sees the room is already occupied, "Okay, so there's a holiday rush on the Danger Room? That seems... unusual.... "

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over, and says "This time, you get to be Luke and Ah'm Han." He says to reply to Berto's comment, and then he is looking about and seeing warren and Gabby he will offer nods "Sorry to horn in on your training, we can come back later to get out of your way.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney pushes up onto her toes to lean over and peer down at the door as the pair come in. An amused grin creeps over her and she glances back to Warren with a shrug. "Speaking of."

"It's okay guys, we were gonna do some acrobatics. Maybe race from one end to the other... Which I've kind of got the handicap on but that's part of the fun. You can both fly, we could work with that."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren glances down from his spot hovering in front of the window. He is dressed in a pair of board shorts, and that's pretty much it. He glances to the inside window and chuckles looking back to the pair that just entered, "Sure. We can modify the program as needed to support four. You are both more than welcome to join us. The ariels I can do another time even if we want to figure something else out."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa shakes his head sadly, "Samuel, I am sorry but you know that the coin toss is binding in perpetuity." He busts into a grin, "Okay, you can be Han, next time we play." Berto gives Sam a sidelong glance, "Hunh, he actually does do those aerials, I really though he just came up with them to torture us." Then louder, "Should we change? How serious are we talking?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "Hey Ah never had much trouble with them, always found it more a pain having to help hammer them back round after Ah crashed into one of them. " He looks tot he others and says "Not sure if you want to do a race."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney sticks her tongue out at the group while resting her cheek against her hand. "Yeah you'd probably stomp us at a race unless there's rules, like manueverability." She knew he could fly, and go fast, but turn on a dime? Not sure about that. "Well souds like you guys want to do some Star Trek related thing." The corners of her mouth twitch a bit. Is she joking? Of course she knows it's Star Wars but she can tease a bit. "What's that one about? Fighting Storm troopers?"

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren take the time to float down to the ground, bare feet touching the floor as he calls out to the room in general, "End program." The hoops frozen in the sky dematerialize and the room resets to its normal holodeck looking appearance, waiting for the next program to be run. "I'm down for whatever. We can do Trek Wars or whatever it is you all wanted to do. I'm pretty flexible as far as the activity is concerned."
He grins over at Sam, "The point was to go through the hoops in order...but not /through/ the hoops, Sam. You were supposed to leave them intact."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa shrugs casually, "I was thinking more Obi-Wan and Anakin but you want to play old school? We can do old school." He gives an exagerated sigh, "Star Trek is a /totally/ different meta universe. It's a complicated and dsitinct melange of elements and... Trek wars! You know what I'm not even capable of giving this it's proper gravitas. I'm just going to point this lapse in both of your educations out to Hank and let him take care of it." Berto grins as he pulls out his phone to text the blue fuzzy. "Happy Holidays." He gives Sam a sidelong grin, "Yeah, Sam, least some of us bounced off them with out faces like we're supposed to." Berto cracks himself up, can't even muster the wind to activate danger, "Dan- hehhe Da= Hah Danger -gasp- " Deep breath, "Danger, run program Berto 69 Force be a lady tonight." He sighs, seemingly undercontrol, "Oh to be 15 again." He shakes his head. "Wait, this has the crawl beginning!" The room darkens and the swicthes to spacescape, the floor is still there in that you can walk on it as a flat plane, but the whole area looks like space. This is when the crawl starts "EPISODE 4! The Unforgiven Times!" In letters 4 feet tall and rising from the floor farthest from the door and the moving diagonally upwards and towards the door so as to seemingly bisect the room with their block letters. The odd thing is that the words are legible both from the front and back.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney can't repress the little snicker after Berto starts to geek out about their faux pas. "Ah, the Doc likes me, I should be okay. We had that thing awhile back..." Wait, what? Whatever she means she dips through the door to leave the observation room. It doesn't take long for her to come in through the door Berto and Sam had come through.

"So! What are... Holy hell did you put the whole stinger?" Her hands plant on her hips while she squints at the letters crawling through the room.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "It could be worse, could trying to mix both of them and Babylon 5 and that Britsh one with the hologram cat. The one that Rahne introduced us to." He will look to see if Berto put in the clothes change automaticly or if they need to go change.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren looks somewhat amused at all this, watching as the text scrolls by, reading the little snippet and squinting, "Why is this episode four? Shouldn't we start on one?"

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa frowns considering, "Don't think that isn't coming, I have all the scenes on Callie Jean Chronicles downloaded I just haven't had a chance to watch them yet. The video starts with Kitty in a white gown running from storm troopers, finding a Locktoo and ColossusPO and sending them down to Tatooine. We see that she is pursued by Sexy Yana. Illyana carrying her soul saber and dressed in black leathers, it's only slightly more racy than he normal attire, the whole things has a PG 13 vibe and you remember that the DR does have locks in place for its younger users. Berto is still a slight shade of Pinnk as Dark Yana prances across the stage. "Not a word, Sam. It was of a time." He laughs, "I was /so/ in love with her." Berto shakes his head and sighs. The droids undertake their mission to locate Obi-wan and find Berto Skywalker leaving with his aunt and uncle, Scott and Jean who make a surprisiingly good couple, weird never considered them together <shrug> As the parts come in, they fade in around each of us. Berto as Luke, Warren as Obi-War, Sam as Han, Gabby as ChewGabbah.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "So, we have to save Princess Kitty from Dark Yana, before she takes her to the Empire?" HE asks, to see if this is going movie plot or a new one.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney watches. She watches all right with lips pursed and eyes narrowed skeptically at the scenes that play out. Especially Kitty, and then Illyana. It's not Warren that's looking at him about all this: It's Gabby.

"I think this must be how people feel when they suddenly realize they're old... Except in the opposite way in my case." Shaking her head she lets out a sigh, hands on hips as she's assigned her character. "Seriously? Chewbacca? At least I get a gun," she mumbles with a shake of her head.

"And it's episode four because the prequels are one through three. They numbered them appropriately when they came out after the original 1970's series." Here she pauses to glance around with a shrug. "What? Half my team are nerds."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren looks down at himself in these brown robes and arches a brow. "Wait a minute...you made me the old guy? Why am I the old guy?! And if you say it is because I am the old guy, I am going to sue your ass for defamation Berto!" Warren smirks, obviously joking as he tries to adjust the robes to make his wings at least somewhat comfortable. "Is....is that Kitty?! And Illyana?" He arches a brow and looks from Sam to Berto and smirks. "Kit is going to crack up at this when I tell her..."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa smiles and eyebrow waggles, "Yes, but you can't use your claws or people will think you've gone feral and need to be hunted down. Wookies only use claws for climbing. Yeah this is the original it's basically a movie re-write with some fun addons." There's a cantina dance party complete with dance dance revolution style dance off, and soul train line. Dark Yana seems to have a bigger part that Vader did, she also seems to have a thing for,,, Han?! "Ooh, sorry, Sam. Didn't have time to fix that in the re-write." There are of course other cameos, Forge as the cantina bar guy, why is also a loot drop. There's a controntation between Mojo the Hut and Han. Han shoots Toad-o, Luke pulls the light saber from the stone after solving the riddle of sphinx. A wizened Xavier shows up in a random flashback as a yoda type character. It wanders, but it is fun." Berto grins, "Warren, you're the wizened mentor who guides us and shows us how tobe heros, you're not just the old guy. Heh, she knows, that's why her character is the most realistic."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "Yea, You think he wrote this on his own? Ah swear there are still things we find that Doug and Kitty put into it that we have no idea about." He smirks a bit and says "I'm just glad he did not change Kitty to Paige when Ah was Luke."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"I wouldn't be surprised if Kitty programmed this to begin with," Gabby jests. Though it's possible she had. Even so she finds herself standing there as it's all explained with her expression slowly going slack. Not the jovial grins she usually wears. After a moment she glances away back toward the door lost in her thoughts. At least until Berto explains about the claws.

"Huh? Oh, right, that's fine. I really don't use them as much as Laura or dad do to begin with. Everyone assumes I do." A wry grin is forced and she draws a deep breath. "Must have been nice to have a team like that growing up. Anyway." She reaches back to grab hold of her hair, twisting it around to flip a few times and pull a knot through at the nape of her neck. Hologram aside she wanted to ensure her hair wasn't going to get into her face. "How's this work? What's the goal?"

Warren Worthington has posed:
"You know...that doesn't surprise me in the least," Warren laughs when Berto says Kitty knows. "She probably did the scene herself, didn't she?" He rolls his eyes with a chuckle, amused. Soon enough it comes time for the 'wizend mentor who guides the kids how to be heroes' to die in a duel with Darth Yana in a sacrificial move so the kids can get away, and Warren overacts his not-so-dramatic death though the whole thing, making it far more the spectacle than it is supposed to be. His now 'force ghost' form finding a place to sit and munch on some popcorn as the kids continue.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa deadpans, "Kitty made me change it back." Then snickers, "Hey, I programmed the main parts but, yeah, the level of detail in certain parts, the cantina, the trash compactor, you wouldn't believe what's on the surface of the death star, I think it has a Starbucks and a Mcdonald's... The goal? Rescue the princess, get the plans for the death star and get them to the rebellion, then we do the trench run. Though a couple of times we went after the core directly on a mission impossible style mission, Logan introduced that idea." Berto smiles, "The intro cut scene? Oh yeah, that is a holoscan of Kitty and Yana hamming it up together."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smiles a bit and says "We did try to add a few things into it to make it different, different ways of doing the trenchrun, but me using powers was unfair." He admits. He does notice the look on Gabbys face, and may ask about it later, but right now he lets her hide it if she wants.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Unfair? Isn't that the whole point, to blow up the Dark Star at any cost? Why is it unfair if you use your powers? Sounds like that was almost tailor made for you, a straight run down a trench at breakneck speed." Warren says as he arches a brow. "Sound perfect to me."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney swings the rifle she has around to begin picking off Stormtroopers, and their allies while they fight their way through various areas. Unlike the programed Troopers her shot is rather... accurate. Eerily so. One might not have expected that of someone with claws but she hadn't been trained to fight using them. Rather she was trained in weaponry. Like guns.

She just never got to use them in the school.

So now she shows off a bit, flipping the gun up over her shoulder to blind shoot behind her at a trooper earning a screech and groan as he's taken out. "I really think they must have trouble seeing in those helmets."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa nods, "Yeah, but this goes back before I could fly or shoot blasts. We did tie in some force powers for people, but then everyone wanted to use them." Roberto smiles and punches Sam's shoulders, "Yeah, that was a short night, 'That's no moon it's a... pile of rubble, SAM" Berto laughs, "Never had any friends later in life like I did at Xavier's. Warren, you guys had to have the same thing, right? I know for Kitty it wasn't as much fun, but I think for all her bellyaching it got better when we showed up and Rogue was... Rogue, and Monet was... you know what the less said the better about M. Not everyone gets it Gabs, depends on the timing really. Sounds like you've got a good team now. I mean we haven't really ever been a team. We were supposed to be the heroes trained to lead after the rebellion was over. Chuck didn't want us being beroes, he wanted us to change the world. No small order when the world doesn't want to be changed." He pulls out a small hand blaster and starts picking off more of the troopers as the make there way out of the detention block, "That an adjustable setting, I can make them more accurate, right now they're set to Barn Broadside."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over to Warren, and says "Well when I can't be hurt by the things shooting at me, it was just a shoot into the whole." He tells them, and takes time making shots here and there, but he makes sure to stay near Gabby as she is his walking furball.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
The next shot to a Stormtrooper hits right in the helmet sending him spinning around. That's not the only shot Gabby squeezes off though. Another hit's the shoulder, another the chest, another lower, and finally knees. The gunfire itself seems to keep the Stormtrooper up.

"Can we STOP talking about 'The good damn old days'?" The final shot sends the Stormtrooper slumping against the wall and down to the ground. Overkill most definitely. With a grunt she turns away scowling. "Sorry. Do your thing, I'm going to go clean up. Have fun."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren nods. "Yeah, we did. We were all pretty close, though I think Jean probably felt a bit out of place till Kit showed up. At least there was another girl, even though she was younger. Kit never really complained, at least that I heard, but it couldn't have been easy for her."

Warren turns to Sam and nods with a chuckle. "Well, you were obviously the best tool for the job then. Should have taken that into consideration instead of labeling it cheating. I doubt Scott would have called it cheating, just a smart tactic."

Warren arches a brow and looks to Gabby curiously. "Um. Sorry?" The winged mutant reaches up and combs his fingers through his hair as he glances to Sam and Berto.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa headtilts, frowning at Sam, "Well, at least it went better than our last Danger Room session with a Wolverine."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie watches her go and frowns a bit. He wondered if it might have been there is no group she seems close to and this makes him think even more so. "We were lucky." Is all he says to BErto.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney freezes a step from the door at Berto's remark. Low, quiet, she responds. "Yeah my team now is great. Both of them. I love the team I have now--But I really could have used a team *then.*"

Glancing back over her shoulders, face red with the attempt to repress tears, she grinds out, "People who accept me and realize I'm GABBY. Not 'A Wolverine." That's about as far as she gets before her eyes flood with a little hiccup of air. She turns away again to stomp out of the room.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren sighs and stands, moving to follow Gabby out and be the 'wizen mentor' AKA the old guy in real life, because he kind of is. "Gabby...hold up. Let's go for a run...just you and me." He glances back at Berto and San with a look, not a disappointed one per say, but one that has a tinge of worry. He is still talking as he leaves to follow, "Or I could take you flying..."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa frowns, and shrugs as the holovid runs on around them, it really is a self contained story without any input form the players. Berto looks over at Sam, "So Wolverine isn't like a family name? I thought Logan and Laura both used it." He's a little confused, "Wasn't she part of the group with Yana, Julio, Jim and Hellion? I mean I was dating Steph and you were with Alexis I think. I just wasn't around much. Guess, we could have tried harder... Kinda assumed the professor would put together the next team, or one of originals, Like Jean, Scoot, even Logan... no one is picking up the mantle... Sam, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over to Berto a brow raised and says "So, we go to being teachers and now mentoers?
