Cast of Characters: Frederick Foswell, Mary Jane Watson, Scott Summers, Franklin Richards, Diana Prince, Kitty Pryde

Frederick Foswell has posed:
It was New Years Eve, and as the globe began awaiting the end of 2022 a disaster was about to brew in Westchester County. Ravencroft Asylum, well not as infamous as it's Gotham cousin, still had many dangerous supervillains grace it's cursed walls over the years. In fact, so many have graced it's halls that the general public has neglected to remember how dangerous it's mundane patients could be as well. This was a mistake many analysts have warned the Institure not make, but they did not listen to them. As night fell upon the state, a haunting message came upon a CB radio channle.

"Help! bzzt "The Patients" bzzt "They broke free of their bonds" bzzt "Oh God! It's Vermin!"

The New York Highway Patrol traced the signal to a desolate part of old Highway 40, and what they found was something out of a horror film. A Ravencroft Transport bus had somehow lost and crashed into a nearby ditch, and from what was heard over the signal, it was obvious what caused it.

Highway Patrol and the State Police got involved quickly and made a perimiter spanning over 100 miles in every direction, and got as many law enforcement members as possible to aid in the search. The bus had been supposed to transfer a group of criminally insane patients to a newer, more secure facility upstate, including Edward Whelan, aka Vermin, a mentally disturbed villain with bestial traits similar to that of a rat and the ability to control them. His escape had promted the state to give out a general call for help to any heros available.

The sight you would arrive at is..chaotic to say the least. Red and Blue lights light up the dark and misty night as radio chatter fill the air. Police cars are scattered every which way on the road, blocking off what few cars would be on the road at night. But, the most creepy feature, lay off the asphalt. It was a grey Ravencroft Bus, laying on it's side on a ditch, it's front door kicked open, and over a dozen set of footprints running off into the woods.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
She wanted to be enjoying the holidays with Aunt Anna and watching the ball drop. Maybe going to Times Square. But she's a junior agent. That means she's on call duty. She had Christmas off, so now it's time to pay the piper. So that means that she's on station in case something happens. And in this case, an alert going out from Ravencroft is definitely considered that. Ravencroft's far enough out of the way that local authorities might not get to there in time.. And there are individuals there that SHIELD deems quite dangerous and hostile enough to keep tabs on that aren't locked up in SHIELD facilities.
So that means late at night, Mary Jane is running along as the alert goes out, a couple of blunt weapons on her back, a needler gun in holster along with a taser. All the while she's very, very much on edge. She's only been here a few times.. But any place that tries to help 'the criminally insane' is always going to have issues. And stories. And now she's going to have tos ee what's in them.
Osborn's out. So that's one nightmare at least that she won't have to face.

Scott Summers has posed:
Scott Summers is heading towards Westchester with Kitty Pryde and Franklin Richards in tow. They both wanted to go to New York City proper and Scott figured he'd save them both uber fees and he'd fly them himself. He does occasional pilot jobs for an independent airfield out this way and as long as he pays for the fuel, it's easy enough to make sure they're 'anonymous clients'.

All of which pleasures get denied them when the alert comes over on the police radio. Scott keeps those channels going on all vehicles as a just in case - just in case somebody needs their help and just in case somebody's about to come after them. He's been on both sides of the law.

"Think we'd probably better check it out. The last thing we need at the school is unexpected visitors of the criminally insane kind."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin checks over his tech as he rides in the back... alone. He is wearing the unmistakable blue and black with the giant four in the middle is hard to miss. He smiles to himself, as he maks sure the new watch, and then pats his belt a bit to pull out pair of goggles putting them on. "It might get dark out there if you want a pair I have one extra... Sorry Scott.." kind of shrugging at him as there is so much he would need to add for him. Rolling down the window he lets the dust out as the clothing he was wearing had already broke down enough to be caught in the breese.

"I am glad I prepaired this time.. Last time showed me you have rather bad luck so I thought it was a good idea." he adds with a grin as he leans back a bit.. "Lead the way... Sir?" and grins a bit larger to himself.

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana's armored boots touch down on the pavement in front of the various first responder vehicles. In their headlights, Diana turns around to look at the police officers who are now looking up to stare upon Wonder Woman. With her shield and sword mounted on her back, Diana moves toward them at a casual stride, after eyeing that turned over prison transport...

The Princess of Themyscira walks toward the officer in charge of the scene, and chooses to hold a few words with them for the time being, to sus out the situation as it is in progress and unfolding...

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde let out a groan when she'd picked up the alert. "So unfair this stuff has to happen on New Years. My first New Years when I'm 21!" she says. She grumbles and digs under her seat, pulling out her X-man uniform. She just puts it on overtop of her dress she was wearing out, and then phases the dress out from beneath it, putting it carefully aside so it won't wrinkle.

"Maybe we can go out after," she says as she taps away on her tablet. "Edward Whelan. Aka Vermin. Physically gifted, possibly to superhuman levels," she says as she digs into reports on him from the institute. "Able to command rats and other vermin. Heightened senses," she says, going over the highpoints of his abilities. "Great, I mean not like there's any rodents or vermin in the forest," she says as Scott is pulling up to the scene. "Alright, let's go join the police and offer our help," she says. She pulls on a domino mask to conceal herself and heads over.

Frederick Foswell has posed:
The officer in charged of the scene, Sergeant Craig Nichols, has been with the State Troopers for over 2o years, and this has been the first time he had to deal with a whole bus full of patients from a mental home suddenly escaping and fleeing into over a hundred miles of forest. At this point, they could be halfway to a town, or they could be hopelessly lost, and it was that unpredictabilty that really haunted him, especially if Vermin caused the escape. As the heroes began to arrive Craig began to slowly calm down, and it had appeared that their cry for help had worked. Suddenly, the men and women in his command began to murmur in excitement as Wonder Woman arrives and begins to walk towards him. Craig meets WW halfway and say,

"Oh thank God you're here Wonder Woman. As you can see, Ravencroft has had a "security breach." They were taking a batch of loonies to the new Pittman Institute in Albany when they somehow broke free of their bonds and escaped. We believe Vermin somehow got free first and, in the chaos, the rest of the inmates followed and overpowered the staff. The results-"

Craig then points to the overturned bus. He then says," When we arrived almost all the patients on that bus were unaacounted for, and three of the staff on that bus were killed in the crash, and two are critically injured. Ravencroft has not given us an exact estimate on how many patients were on the bus, but rough estimates say about 12 to 15.We have put up a perimeter around this entire area, but we haven't been able to flush out even one of them, which must mean they are quite deep in there."

As Scott and Friends and Mary-Jane arrived at the scene they too would be greeted by the overturned bus. As a cold wind blew through the air the crashed bus appeared to groan and moan, as if it were about to topple over. They would also notice three cops hovered near a tree, a tree with a message carved into it with what appeared to be a knife,

"OUR WOODS!"

This... did not bode well. As the X-Men and the one Fantastic 4 member approached the cops blocking off the road took only one look at them before letting them in, a silent invetation for their help.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
And one SHIELD agent arriving on the scene. Oh lovely, a breakout from an insane asylum. She's wearing an armored SHIELD jumpsuit as she arrives, along with a couple of othe ragents junior enough to be given field duty on the weekend. She would pant over and then glance over at the overturned bus and the report of the dead and injured. She purses her lips in thought.

"All right, we'll be deploying and sweeping if there's a perimeter. They'll have gone to ground or be trying to hit usw hile we spread out and look for them." That's of course over to her other agents - neither of which are listening to her. There's a bit of a tenseness in her as her attempt at talking to them turns over to a bit of a sneer on her lips that turns almost savage as her hands would go up to the large staves on her back as her form goes far, far more aggressive.

Good thing she didn't have her sword with her..

Scott Summers has posed:
Scott Summers pulls up the car with a bit of a whip of the wheel and a skid of the tires, helping to blockade the road further. "Codenames please, business faces on. Follow my lead," Scott says certainly to Franklin and Kitty. It's clear he has no expectation of pushback.

He steps out, visor snapping in place of his ruby quartz glasses as he tucks them away in a pocket.

"We're only here to help. Happened to be passing by and overheard the broadcast. Some folks missing? We've done a lot of hiking around here." Scott keeps himself terse and businesslike. He doesn't like cops. He certainly doesn't trust them. But Wonder woman's a different kettle of fish, altogether. Some sort of really big indestructible fish. With a sword.

"Ma'am," he says, inclining his head to Diana.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Following the others quietly he doesn't say anything listening to the others as he approaches. He does tap his goggles and the ground for him would light up footprints, as Franklin looks up. "I can sense minds little, but I am mainly comunication only I am sorry." he notes as he checks the line of trees to make sure this wasn't what the escapees were waiting for. He lets the new person coming in give orders to what he assumes is the cops, though he looks to Cyclops before he does anything. "We are taking them alive right.. Crazy or not?" and smiles a bit hoping he was as a good of a guy as he had heard.

Though he does look at Diana with a smile giving her a nod he doesn't actually speak to her as two things hit him.. One nothhing important needed to be said, and he would prefer not to make a fool of himself infront of her. So says nothing, at all waiting to see how they are going to split up this job for everyone, and thinking what his part should be.

Diana Prince has posed:
"Thank you, Sergeant." Diana says to the officer who gave her all of that information. She offers a faint smile before she turns and walks toward the bus itself. This is when Scott, and the others arrive. Diana then gives Scott a similar expression. "Mister Cyclops." She tells him. "It is good to see you." She says in her thickly accented English. A nod toward the woods is given. "We have somewhere up to fifteen escaped patients in there. We hope to see them returned..."

Diana turns to the bus then, after tracing her hand alongside it.

"Everyone, please stay back." The Princess offers.

She crouches down, her long dark hair waving behind her otherwise bare shoulders in the cold wind.

Without much ceremony, the Amazon woman picks the bus up by its roof's edge, and easily raises it up until it tips back over on to its wheels on the edge of the highway... The heavy vehicle will sway, and jostle, but once it is back upright, Diana takes a measuring stare over it before she steps back again.

"Now then... to find the runaways..." She says in a calm tone.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde sees, as they head over to join the police and those who have come to assist them, that Wonder Woman is among them. Kitty fairly bounces on her toes for a few steps at the sight of her. For all the heroes she's worked with before, the nearest she has come to teaming up with Wonder Woman was a fight in Gotham where Kitty was in civilian clothes and played ghost phasing civilians to safety without ever being seen or getting into the fight.

"Wonder Woman," Shadowcat offers, the X-man tipping her head to the Amazonian woman. "We were passing by and figured we might be able to help," she confirms. "Officer, do you have a number of restraints on you. Some of those zip ties or something we can take in with us easily?"

Frederick Foswell has posed:
Sergeant Nichols nods polietly at Wonder Woman and turns to answer Shadow Cat's question before suddenly hearing the grinding of metal. He, along with the rest of the cops, look on in shock as Wonder Woman picked up the bus and set it back down on the ground. He then clears his throat as he snaps his fingers at a deputy and orderes him to get something. He then says,

"Yes, you will all be provided zip-ties to restrain the patients should you find them before we do. The Institute urges you not to be to excessive with your force on the mundane patients. However,"

At this, the Sergeant pulls out what looks like a collar and gives it to Shadowcat. "This power inhibitor is to be given to Vermin as soon as he is neutralized. The staff say it will nullify his powers, which is what we want."

As the zip ties are handed out another cop hands out a sheet with a list of names and a brief description of each name on the list.

"This list," The Sergeant begins again,"is a list of the names of each patient on the bus and their condition. The Ravencroft staff claims that some of them respond better when you use their names. I'll leave the splitting up of duties to you heroes. My men are getting ready to fan in as well, just holler if ya need back-up."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The busload is handled fairly simply. Good. One less thing to worry about. And Vermin.. That was a name that Mary Jane knew from unfortunate prior experience. She represses the sense to swear. "He'll be particularly dangerous over in the woods and at close quarters. he's very fast, agile, and surprisingly strong. IF you have to engage him, do so from a distance. He'll use ambush tactics and hit and run to fight and try and pick you off while you're spread out."

The other two agents iwth her seem -quite- happy to thusly remain over in the 'backup' option of things and maintain the perimeter. Mary Jane's face twists to a snarl now as she goes to take the sheet, inspect it, and theng oes to stalk over into the woods, the two batons she has twirling in each hand.

Scott Summers has posed:
Scott Summers frowns. Superhumans in lockup. Deemed insane. An easy excuse to lock them up. What if these were mutants? The quick glimpse of the rap sheets seemed legit, but what did he know?

What he always knew: that he couldn't turn away.

"Most people like having their names used, in my experience," he says tersely.

He gestures to Kitty and Franklin, "Assist, stay here. I'll go out in the search. I really have done a lot of hiking around here. Keep us in communication,' he says, giving a covert gesture to Kitty to activate the X-coms they had on their person. He also gives another signal of suspicion towards the other two 'agents' To Mary Jane, however, he seems a bit...flummoxed for the moment. "I..." he says, holding up a finger and then just shuts up and keeps walking.

Diana Prince has posed:
The zipties are offered to her by one of the Officers, and Diana pays them a glance, then looks to the officer and just smirks softly. "I have my own binding methods." The Princess says.

At her side, a golden glowing light comes to life, illuminating the side of her form clad in that gladiatorial armor.

The lasso of Hestia shines brightly in its coiled-up state, gripped tightly in Wonder Woman's left leather-wrapped hand.

She looks to Kitty, she smiles toward her. "Good to see you again, young Shadowcat." She tells her before she turns to the woods and begins to walk toward them, though she pauses...

She pauses to let the wind rush over her form, to let it cause her dark hair to dance softly against her bare shoulders...

... and then she jumps.

Wonder Woman lunges right in to the trees, vanishing within their leafy-embrace, the gentle glow of the lasso amongst the underbrush all that can be seen of her now!

Within the woods, Diana stands amongst the trees now, listening... and possibly attempting to draw some out, simply by 'being'.

Franklin Richards has posed:
"If you need me just think my name and I will hear it." as he starts to float up into the air slowly turning to giving them a bit of a wave. His goggles change shade once again as floats just a little higher to look down for heat signatures. They might spot off, or at least lead the way, and staying above both helped and would be much better for Franklin if he did encounter this Vermin guy.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde helps distribute the zip ties to people. When Diana addresses her, Shadowcat gets one of those smiles that people get when Diana Princes gives them attention. "It's great to get to work with you," she says to the woman. And will probably be kicking herself later and complaining to Lockheed how she said something so lame in reply.

Taking the collar when offered, she turns towards Cyclops. "Powerhouse and I are probably the two that will find it easiest to get the collar onto him. Well, unless Wonder Woman gets him in her lasso."

She glances down at the collar with a look of distaste then. Unfortunately she's far to familiar with them. Other than the telepaths taking control of someone, they are the best way for the X-men to hold someone until authorities can take them off their hands.

<<Comms online. Though might be best if Powerhouse just keeps us linked.>> With that she heads off into the forest, eyes sweeping back and forth looking for signs of the escaped inmates

Frederick Foswell has posed:
The woods were cold this time of year, and incredibly dark, with only a tiny hint of moonlight glinting through the canopy of trees. This combined with the mist rolling into the woods made the whole thing feel like a damn horror movie and not reality. If only it were Halloween, and the whole dang thing could be complete. This thought did not go through Red Sonja's head as she stalked through the woods, looking for Vermin or any of the other escapees. Suddenly, laughter breaks the silence, deranged laughter. If she were to investigate she would find a tall, lanky, bald Ravencroft inmate, still clad in his hospital gown, and oddly enough, a straightjacket. How he even managed to get far in that thing you don't know, but here he was. He looked at you with a tilted head, as if he were curious. Suddenly, he began making violent jerking movements with his head as he struggled with his bindings. This was Ronnie Callus, a convicted criminal who dealt with mental instability in the form of very sudden, and very violent mood swings. He suddenly stops jerking about and looks at you with a grin as he says,

"Vermin is going to kill you."

As Franklin flies around the sky he would soon notice a very large blob of heat standing near a pond near the heart of the woods. If he were to get closer he would see a tall, very fat man with curly black hair and a goatee. He was staring at his own reflection, as if transfixed by it. This was Caleb Strong, he was one of the nore docile patients, a simpleminded man with a very unfortunate temper. If you play your cards right you could talk him down without a fight.

After a moment of listening, WW would hear the ramblings of a man being carried by the wind,

"Filthy! So filthy! I'll never be clean again! Never!" If you were to investigate further you would see a short, thin man with blonde hair, green eyes, and a pair of glasses. His hospital gown was filthy and tattered, much to his dismay. This was Saul Matthews, a violently neurotic man with a fear of all germs and filth. He was convicted of holding a homeless shelter hostage after he claimed one of the residents had broken in and tainted his home. He did not appear to notice you yet.

Shadowcat soon came upon a roaring river in her neck of the Woods, one of many. Yet, above she could still hear a older voice saying,

"Kill them?! No I didn't! They weren't my family! They were imposters!" Further investigation revealed a tall, stocky, and myscular older man with short grey hair and a goatee. This was Mark Kiebler, a dementia patient and army vet who killed his visiting family in a fit of paranoia, and was in denial over it. Suddenly, he turns to Shadowcat, his head tilted and eyes narrowed, as if in deep though before he said,

"Stacy, is that You?" Stacy was his daughter.

Scott's trip through the woods was uneventful, until he came to a clearing near the center of the woods. Suddenly, squeaks were heard as a horde of rats came barreling towards you

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
There would be a glance over from Red Sonja over at the man hse would approach. Then, as he would snap over and look at her with a grin, she would shrug and then go, "And he will fail." THen she would go to if she could try and smack him with her baton on the back of the head wiht sufficient force to render him unconscious, and presuming that she could she would move to then follow it up with a series of quickly applied restraints, a report in of the neutralized man, and then her heading back in to the forest. She'd heard that particular threat before. Perhaps even from the same freak. It's not quite Sonja in charge now, going through the forest and looking for tracks. Or signs of an ambush in wait. She's presuming that most of the meat wagon passengers will reveal themselves in quick order. If she comes across any she'll try and aid in incapacitating them. But she's out mostly for anything truly dangerous tonight.

Scott Summers has posed:
Scott Summers considers himself a person of great compassion. He was never exactly an animal person. He did okay with dogs, but they weren't allowed at the orphanage and weren't practical at school. He was too busy. He was always too busy. Then he'd gotten his cat, as a gift, and he hadn't wanted to like the damn thing but he did. He even let it stay named Scruffles. What kind of damned name was Scruffles?

Oh, but rats?

Yeah, fuck a bunch of rats.

Scott Summers unleashes his energies without hesitation to keep any kind of wave of rodentry at bay, pummeling it back and keeping it as far away from touching him as he can keep it possibly.

Franklin Richards has posed:
As he flies over scanning <<Yea that one is my fault didn't grab one from Wolverine last time>> though it isn't over the comms both Shadow and Cyclops could hear him calmly explain. <<Do I send this to the... others?>> as he considers the others that are searching. To him his gift isn't something to hide, but use freely as he had always, but others just assumed he could take over at a whim or something and didn't like it. Then fell to silence as he thinks he spots something. Moving cloer he floats down feet first to look at who or what it might be.

Landing softly he hopes to not disturb him looking at the situation. "Hello, friend.. You sure got kind of lost out here didn't ya." he looks at the large man by the pond. He doesn't get closer but walks around a bit so he can get a better view of what he is dealing with. He grins a bit as he sees the man, "Hey sorry but its getting dark out, you know its time to go back right?" his voice calm, not afraid but just as he is explaining the best he can feeling the simplicity in the mind of the person across from him he has an idea.

Franklin picks up a leaf, and shows it to him. "Follow the magic leaf and it will lead you back" as he closes his hands and blow as the leaf flows out as carried by the wind away now sightly illuminated as he changed the structure just slightly. "follow the leaf.. It should be dinner soon." and steps back to give him room incase it works.

Diana Prince has posed:
From around a tree, the tall Amazon appears ahead of Saul. She just steps out from behind the tree, her golden lasso illuminating her body from the left side. She stares at the disturbed man as he fiddles with his hands, her long hair gently swaying in the forest wind.

"Mister Mathews." Diana says a second later, announcing herself. "I am Diana Prince. I am here to return you to safety." She states, taking a step toward him, her lasso not moving up yet, though she does know a bit about his record from the Officers back at the road...

"Please, come with me." She urges him, and should he attack, or attempt to flee, he'll be ensnared by the golden divine twine.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde walks forward in a casual enough stride. "No, it's not Stacy," she tells him. "But I am looking for you. You're Mark, aren't you? You can call me Cat for short," she asks as she moves over, closer but still leaving him a little space at this point. Though she does end up in a position that the river cuts off as much of an avenue of escape as possible.

"We're out in the middle of the woods, I don't think Stacy would be out here, would she?" Shadowcat says to the man. "But if you'd like, I can help you get back to where you can call her?" she offers, looking back off the direction of where the authorities are waiting a distance away out of sight.

Frederick Foswell has posed:
The man in the Straightjacket collapses to the ground, unconcious. As Red Sonja continued her trek, the sounds of wildlife and nature filled the air, which was quite natural for a forest, even this late in the Winter. Suddenly, the noises stop, and a bloodcurdling cry fills the air as a tall, muscular man springs out of the woods, shouting out as he did,

"Stay back! These are our woods! Our Woods!"

This was Rodney Springer, a violently psychotic man with convictions for assault and attempted murder. Rodney picks up a heavy stone and lunges at you, swinging the rock at your head.

Caleb turned from his position at the pond and looked at you with curiosity, and no signs of anger. When you hold up the leaf and caused it to float up in the air he gets up and begins to go after it, unaware or uncaring that the police were waiting for him. But, before you could start looking for your next patient, he gives himself away. You hear a voice coming from nearby rambling to himself,

"Centerfield to middle, midde to center, defense hold the line."

As you approach you see the tall, bulky, and very buff form of Conrad Sinclair, a prominent collegiate football player committed to the Asylum after he assaulted a fellow player after a delusional episode. He was rambling to himself about Football jargon when you arrived, but suddenly turned violently towards you, fear on his face as he shouted,

"No! I killed you! Why are you haunting me Lupine! Why?!" Suddenly, he charges at you.

Matthews head suddenly jerks up as Diana appeared to him. He began wringing his hands nervously as she spoke to him, as if expecting her to attack at any moment. However, the offer to bring him back suddnely causes him to snarl at you and say," No, it's filthy there! FILTHY!"

He tries to run, and is lassoed for his efforts. He begins to struggle against the rope, shouting out as he did," Get this thing off me! It's covered in filth!"

Mark pauses as Cat began to speak, his face emotionless as he heard her speak. He suddenly gets closer and says," Y-you can take me to her?" Suddenly, his face turns angry as he says," How do you know Stacy?! You have been following me have you! Why can't you people leave me alone!" He then lunges at Cat.

As the Rats are held back the sound of scurrying fill the air around him. Suddenly, a human like hiss fills the air as a raspy voice fill the air,

"They wanted to take Vermin to the bad place. Vermin refuses to go!"

A second hiss fills the air as Vermin lunges out of the bushes and towards Scott.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The man approaching her has the advantage of some stealth, but the crying out he does gives Mary Jane enough of a warning to evade. She goes to stand up as Rodney goes to charge at her holding her batons in front of her as she would go to face him. She would be ready and then brace for his charge.

"I'm told you like pain. Inflicting it on others." She would go to use the baton to block the swing wiht the rock, intent on striking him over in the hip if she could with a quick kick to try and drive him away. Of all the time that ICERs might be useful. She goes to then maneuver around if at all possible to try and go for some quick strikes at him while he was off balance. Her blows held back, striking to try and overpower rather than break limbs if she could. Just goin to try and quickly hit him unconscious.

Diana Prince has posed:
Poor Mathews.

Don't worry though, Diana is gentle.

Mostly.

After lassoing him, she's rushing him and 'hog tying him up'. She has him sealed up, and is off to the sky in mere moments. He'll kick, he'll scream, but in the end he ends up back at the road with the line of emergency responders.

Diana will untie the man as she hands him over, and then bounce back up in to the sky again!

She can hear other disturbances unfolding within the woods, and is soon to land near to where Scott is dealing with that Vermin individual... the golden lasso ushering her arrival as she twirls it around at her right side, the coiled-up length gripped again in her left hand!

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin still has a bit of a grin on his face when he turns, <<One returning on foot... Let him keep the leaf>> to the Sheriff he met at the wreck. He did try to make it sound like it was coming from the broken radio in the van hoping that will help him not freak out as much. Then turns as the footballer crashes into him he gives an "Umph" though lands rolling as the crazy man screems about Ghosts. He thought about what to say but only had little time so instead got back on his feet. "Most people with telekinesis think it is about lifting stuff." and brushes away the dirt as the man charges him again.

When he gets close Franklin shoots up in the air flipping over him this time, tapping his palm on the mans back, weaking the atoms cells just a little bit to start the process of electricity turning the man's own clothes electric landing behind him. "It is really shocking what one can do with a little science." as he turns to look at him to make sure to turn it off before it actually hurt him past something a little nap wouldn't fix.

THen he snaps his finger.. "Dang it.. I need to say that earlier.. He never heard it." talking to himself since his timing was off.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The inmate doesn't really have much of a chance. He lunges at the young woman, having quite the size and weight advantage on her. But Shadowcat is phased long before he gets to her, leaving just a leg below the knee unphased with which to help trip him and knock him to the ground.

As he's still recovering from hitting the ground like that, she's on his back and levering his arms behind him and getting the zip tie over them. She pulls it tight, and then climbs off of him, hauling the man up to his feet.

"I'm sorry Mark. But we're going to get you back to some people who can help you," she tells him. She pushes him ahead, getting him moving at a quick clip to get him back to hand off to the police. When that's done, she heads back in, moving to help Scott.

Frederick Foswell has posed:
Rodney is hit hard with the batons, causing him to fall down onto the ground, hard and lose conciousness, leaving your path to Vermin clear. Meanwhile, Conard lets out screams of pain as the electricity fills his clothing. As Conard fell to the air, a shrill, angry cry filled the air, the cry of The Vermin.

Vermin dodges WW and lands on all 4s right in front of her. His red, rat-like eyes glaring at you as more rats swarm in to his defense. He hisses even louder when he hears Cat coming, saying as he did," Big Man said this break out would help Vermin. Big Man lied! Vermin kill Big Man!" He then glares at WW and lunges at her again, slashing his claws at her as his swarm of rats surges towards Cat.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The yells have narrowed down where things are going on. She hears the sounds of a scuffle that mean that someone is trying to take on Wonder Woman, and goes on a light jog towards that position after having restrained Rodney. Batons held out in front of her defensively as she goes to call out. "Two incapacitated and secured!" Going to compare the number of take downs in her head with the list they had been given.

Diana Prince has posed:
the claws from this Vermin impact with the left bracer worn on Wonder Woman's left forearm! The sparks fly through the night as Diana spins around from the attacking enemies. On her back she wears a large Amazon round shield that she uses to defend her back from attackers behind her, adjusting her position she sweeps her lasso around to grab one of the rats, sending it flying through the air, snapping tree branches until it hits hard against a tree trunk!

Vermin is the main threat though, and diana turns to face him, jumping in the air she means to deliver a powerful knee to the 'creature' across its midsection!

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin starts heading towards the others just calmly enjoying the jaunt back figuring those two have him. Conrad floats behind him in a forcefield curling up the unconscious man that follows floating behind Franklin as he moves forward. He smiles to himself a bit, and crosses by foot through the woods until he reaches the bus again laying down Conrad, and making sure the other man found his way back. He looks at the Sheriff, "Can you take him.. I should prob head back."

Then turns around to head back out if the fight isn't over yet, he figured it was worse then they though so he should be right on time, So he just slowly walks back towards the forest where they fight the Vermin.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Shadowcat races forward, guided in telepathically where Cyclops is fighting, sweeping rats away with lower power optic blasts. She emerges into the area, seeing Wonder Woman fighting Vermin herself, but there's an army of rats between Kitty and them.

The rats turn at the so und of her approach and swarm towards Shadowcat. It's like the ground is alive and moving there are so many of them! They reach her and swarm, jumping into a big pile that she disappears beneath.

Vermin and Wonder Woman battle. She lands the knee to his midsection, doubling him over. Suddenly arms are reaching up out of the ground for Vermin. Is it a zombie? No, it's Shadowcat, who phased underground, traveling through it to avoid the rats. She comes up, snapping the collar onto Vermin's neck while he's doubled over.

Frederick Foswell has posed:
Vermin shrieks in rage the second the collar is placed on his neck. He shrieks and begins clawin at the metal nullifyer on his neck, shouting as he did," Damn you Big Man! Damn you Rossini! Vermin will kill you both one day! You lied to Vermin!"

If you were to look on the list you would one name that matches Vermin's rant, Claudio Rossini. Claudio Rossini was a old-school mobster from Sicily who was nearly convicted on a RICO charged, but got out of it due to a controversal insanity ruling that sent him to Ravencroft. As the police start flooding the area Vermin was in it it dawns on you. Whoever this Big Man was, he arranged for this whole incident just to break out one Mobster.
