Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
It was a cold night in December -- like most if not all December nights when you live in New York. Outside, a light snow was falling and the wind was whipping around spitefully, but inside? Inside it was warm, the music was pumping energy into the crowd which, while not as busy as a typical night here might be, still offered a good number of patrons to return that energy in kind...

...and, of course, purchase plenty of (non-alcoholic) drinks.

One such patron is none other than Marie-Ange Colbert. Not exactly a regular in the club, at least not without being dragged out to socialize by one of her more extroverted friends. This time? It was the cards that demanded her presence. The Hermit's months of tyranny that kept her secluded have come to an end, and the arcana has demanded that the redhead be amongst people once more. It was time to find that which she had been missing -- what exactly? Well, that's for her to discover.

She's dressed fetchingly enough, a combination of her own inherent modesty and the trendier fashions worn by clubgoers. A (not-so) little black dress, sleek along her form but managing to cover pale skin from her neck to her ankles - though with a slit up the side to her knee for mobility - with her arms also left bare. Feet are in matching heels, and a small red purse hangs around her neck and shoulder. At present, however, she's not the most festive of attendees, simply sitting at the bar with a blue-tinted drink in front of her, gazing over the far more lively personalities in attendence.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa is dressed fairly traditionally, black slacks and matching vest, with button down shirt, black silk tie. His sleeves are rolled up but each peice has been exquisitely tailored. He is talking with a well known information broker, there corner is secluded if not quiet. The meetng isn't going well from the look on Berto's face. But he scans the club casually, and what to his wandering eyes should appear? Berto nods to the man and hamds him a thick envelope. Before standing, shaking hands and moving into the club. His eye on Marie.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie's been a little listless, so much isolation from most people will do that to a girl -- though when she spies a familiar face among the crowd, she visibly perks up some. That's someone she hasn't seen since... well, it's been quite a while to say the least. She doesn't call out to him directly but if he starts heading in her direction, she'll lift her drink and wave the young man over.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa does head over, giving her a smile and a nod. He settles into the seat next to her with a chuckle, "Marie-Ange Colbert as I live and breath. How have you been?" He orders what she's having as he settles in, flipping a thumbdrive between his fingers.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"Roberto." Marie replies, but with a smile that brightens that much further once he gets settled in. "To be truthful, times have been trying for a while... but lady fate suggests those times are coming to an end, mercifully." Her English has improved over time, to be sure. No longer stumbling over sentences like when she had first arrived in the country. "What of yourself? How has life treated you since we last spoke?"

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa hmms, "Considering pretty busy recently. Started a mutants social justice corporation. My Dad was hurt in an industrial accident, which lead to the revelation he has a neuro-degenerative disorder, which lead to the further revelation he made a deal with Mephisto... Say, do you know a barrister who specializes in infernal or fae contracts?" Here is a snippet of conversation you don't hear that often. "Anyway, this lead to me taking the big chair moving forward, oh and I'm opening a new stadium in Gotham. So, you know keeping busy. Trying times, that's rough, you know Xavier's opened a college dorm. You might want to check it out. Maybe pick up a french class from Hank?"

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie listens with rapt attention as Roberto catches her up on the various goings on. She has a tendency to live under a metaphorical rock at times, so it's always good to be brought up to speed. "... oh my. You were not kidding!" A pause. "I fear I do not personally. Mademoiselle Rasputin may be better to ask, but I can certainly reach out among my contacts." she offers, reaching out to pat Roberto on the shoulder. "It seems like a lot of responsibility for one so young... although I have no doubts that you are up to the task." She didn't even double-check with the cards! To the last bit, her eyes widen. "Did they?" A pause, and her gaze lowers, hand reaching out to bring the glass to her lips for a drink before she continues. "...would I truly still be welcome? I fear I have been... less than good at keeping in touch since graduation." The regret in her voice on that subject is unmistakable.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa smiles, "We have spoken and yes, Illyana has some ideas." He sips the drink and nods, "This is tasty. I'm sure you would, there are many who breeze in and out like the wind. If you were a student I am sure Jean and the Professor would be glad to have you. I know Tabitha came back, James is around. Sam never left and even Doug showed up. Though I have not heard from Amara in some time. Oh and Illyana married her teacher Stephen Strange, though I feel there's more to that story."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"Working at the Club has its perks, including knowing which drinks to order, n'est-ce pas?" Marie replies, holding her glass up like a toast. Then the answer to her question brings her gaze back up, and some relief to her expression. "It would be good to see everyone again... and I learned much during my original enrollment..." she trails off in a moment of thought, before her eyes go wide as saucers. "Quoi?! She -- oh my. I /have/ been much further out of touch than I expected."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa chuckles and toasts, "It would, it would be nice to have you around as well." Berto smiles before putting away the thumb drive and taking out his phone. "You've been working for the club? that must be... interesting. Here give me you number, so we can stay in touch."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"Oui; it seems that my readings have found an audience, here. Even if many were skeptical at first..." Marie replies, waving her free hand dismissively. "I am uncertain how many truly believe what I tell them of their futures, but I can only provide the warnings; it is they who must heed them." A slow nod to that, then she sets the drink down once more to dig into her purse. The majority of the room inside is taken up by a potentially familiar velvet pouch, but there's also a pen that she withdraws. "Of course, Roberto." she states, scribbling down her name and the digits on a napkin, then offering it to the man. "You will send me a text message so that I have your number as well, oui?"

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa nods, "I will, well, I imagine the pay is good if nothing else." He gives you a wink. Then sends the text, "Look forward to seeing you around." Roberto kisses your cheeks after the European fashion and leaves more than enough to pay for both drinks.
