New Years Eve Reunion
Date of Scene: 03 January 2023
Location: Big Belly Burgers, Queens
Synopsis: Molly runs into her old friend Nico, literally. The two catch up and make plans before Molly breaks something! Oops.
Cast of Characters: Molly Hayes, Nico Minoru

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly doesn't look happy. It's New Year's Eve. It's just about lunch time. And she's snuck away from Happy Harbor to just. Get away from it all. Again. Her hands are stuffed in the pockets of her Pink Power Ranger jacket and she's staring towards the grey skyline of Manhattan Island proper while she walks the streets of Queens away from a bus stop. She's wearing a fluffy owl hat. A fluffy crested owl hat, in fact! The wings act as earflaps and the giant fluffy eyebrows wiggle around in the breeze. "...stupid 'sister', stupid 'parents'..." she grouses quietly, kicking a soda can and watching it tumble into the gutter. At least it's not raining today? Or snowing? Not that it would stop the night's festivities that she's oh so excited for.

"...an' then there's gonna be fireworks an' it's gonna be all loud an' people are gonna be stupid an' I'll be cooped up watching the stupid ball drop on stupid tv again and not out having any fun...!" she just about exclaims as she turns a corner and--WHUMP! Right into someone's back. Or front. Or side. Just. Someone.

Nico Minoru has posed:
For her part, Nico also doesn't look happy. She looks sullen and grumpy and unapproachable and gothy. So gothy. ...All of those things combined are actually the typical Nico look when she's out on her own. Or generally when she's doing heroics. Or whenever she's anywhere but with a few select people. And she's not with any of those people. She's trudging her way through NYC, on her way from one dead-end part time under the table job to... some other job probably. But then she's suddenly WHUMPED by a fellow pedestrian... and her mouth falls open!

She doesn't tackle one Molly Hayes, she doesn't even yell out "Molliford B. Hayes!" or some other energetic cry of familiarity. Oh no. She /gasps/, sharp and loud and attention getting, before she's /spinning/ to face the familiar behatted girl that just ran into her, practically shouting, "MOLLY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly isn't hurt by it, of course. It just gives her more reason to grump. She stumbles back a few steps, and stares up at Nico, hearing the gasp and the sudden yell. Her eyes go HUGE and she just. Wraps her arms around Nico and literally picks the other girl up. It's not hard to tell that she's packing a little more 'soft' in the chest department at her age now, and she's certainly not lacking in the strength department, either! "Niiiiiiico!" she girlishly squeals, who could ever mistake that gorgeous goth?!

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico lets out a little noise as Molly hugs tight! ...Is it because she's momentarily worried about all that strength? Or is it just /shock/ that her friend is showing signs of actually growing up? She hugs back and winds up squeezing into that close, friendly embrace in a way that winds up effectively molding her body to body with Molly, minus a few inches and... well, a press of slightly different figures. Not that she's wearing one of the pushup bras she used to get tips when waitressing or anything, she's just... a little more full figured than her usual Victorian era goth garb hints!

Molly Hayes has posed:
The slightly-smaller woman, perhaps smaller still when regarding Nico's boots, certainly imagines that her gothy friend doesn't need that push-up bra anymore! She gives a little squeeze, careful with her strength, especially in her excited state, and even spins around once or twice right there on the sidewalk. "Nico! Niconiconico!" she squeals, laughing. "I'm here! You're here! Aaaah!" Her laughing turns into soft, tittered giggles. "...I live near here! Sort of! I've... got school! And... um. A couple friends...! And... and... a JETPACK!" she squeals again. "What are YOU doing here?"

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico laughs softly and murmurs out, voice absolutely flooded with warmth and happiness, "Aw! That's great! I'm... uhh... okay, I never /did/ go back and get that GED, but I'm doing pretty good too!" She glances down at her metallic arm and clears her throat, "Well, it's not a /jetpack/, but I've got some neat stuff too!" Not that she's really got much to mention /beyond/ that arm... which also, while it is /undeniably/ 'neat' and 'badass' did require _losing her arm_. But hey, that happened regardless, so getting her witcharm was a good consolation!

Molly Hayes has posed:
Finally, Molly puts her friend down and stares, wide-eyed, at the arm. She can't help herself and pokes it a couple of times. "OH COOL! You've got a robot arm! ...is it okay to call it that? Valeria said I shouldn't call some things robots, cuz they're not, like Vivian is a synthezoid..." she babbles for a moment and then instead of poking the arm, just grabs Nico again and starts to walk down the street. "Ya gotta tell me about it! Let's go get burgers! I'm hungry!

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico snorts and laughs, head shaking quickly, lifting that arm, wiggling her fingers, flexing her wrist, "I mean, it's not... really a robot arm. It's metal, but it's /magic/! It can do all sorts of things! ...Okay, it can do like... three things, and one of them is 'arm stuff'. And the others I can't show off because they're... uhhh... complicated!" She lets Molly run on a bit, until she finishes talking about... two girls with V names that Nico files away, and then begins dragging her down the street, "Yes! Burgers! Let's go /get some/!"

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly's eyes are staying wide open, one youlc amost hear the 'wow!' sparkles with the shine in them, "Magic robot arm!" she squeaks again and just... bodily carries Nico down the street. Effortlessly, and quite close, hugging the slightly taller woman against her. She adjusts her grasp, it's turned into a princess carry now. "I know there's a Big Belly just down the street here!" she says brightly. "I can't believe you're here! We can be punch buddies! Do you still use your magic stick?!"

Nico Minoru has posed:
There's a /bit/ of undignified, entirely un-goth squeak from Nico as her boot soles leave the ground and she's being carried off by the strongest slip of a girl in the tristate area! She's half tempted to point out they look ridiculous... until that carrying posture shifts and Nico's eyes land on Molly's face. And suddenly she can't bring herself to say anything. "Oh! Yeah, I've been in town for awhile... I mean, sometimes I hitch down to Gotham... and yeah! I mean, you know, not when I don't have to because..." She grimaces and makes a little sawing motion at her flesh and blood arm with her metal one, "Y'know, the /blood/ thing and all... also... wait, did you say you have a jetpack?!"

Molly Hayes has posed:
She's so warm! And soft! Especially in places she's hugging Nico to. "I mean it's better to keep your blood on the inside, innit? Cuz... you only have so much.. and... I'unno I don't like the idea of you getting hurt.." Molly sighs. "But I'm here now! An' you're here!" she just about chirps in happiness. "An' yeah! Jetpack! I uh. I still need to practice with it. But. Now bad guys can't run up to rooftops or fly away..." she humphs, "Stupid flying bad guys..." Ahead, Big Belly Burger! "We're almost here!"

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico giggles softly, just the barest bit of mirth escaping that carefully constructed gothic image, "Well, I don't have to bleed too much. Just a little cut!" And then she's perking her eyebrows up, head tilting back, eying her friend and mode of transportation with good humor, "Well! That's good! I mean, I can... kinda fly? It's more like floating. It's not really fast. But it's /great/ when like... snow's melting and the streets are all slushy?" She heaves out a sigh, "I don't think I've ever fought a flying guy... big demon thing once, some small demons... oh! This one time I fought a snowman! ...Not like, a real snowman. It was one of those big decorations from Wal-Mart." And then Nico's craning around to spot the burger place, because even goths have to eat!

Molly Hayes has posed:
"Still!" Molly huffs. "Blood should stay inside," she says, as if it's the most sagacious thing she'd ever uttered in her adult life. Which is a good solid two weeks by now. Starting with a high bar there, Molls. "Oh, gross, an' the streets around here are so grimy, too! Euch! I hope I can just. Jetpack around when the spring thaw happens...!" she gives another little spin. "Woosh~!" she says jovially. "I mean, some demons fly? And... wait... why were you... fighting.. like.. snowman decorations? Did you get to punch Santa, too?!"

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico's hands clench on slim shoulders, hanging on as Molly spins, one leg kicking up in that princess carry, "Ahh! Molllly! It's not... responsible to jetpack around all the time! I mean, it also limits your dress code! You have to wear jeans like... /all the time/!" She snickers and shakes her head, "It's this whole... thing! I was just shopping for some groceries, and some... necromancer or something showed up, I guess there was some..." Fingers wiggle vaguely, "Magic tear thing in the stockroom, and the necromancer wanted to use it for EVIL and some magicians showed up to fight them and I got caught up in it is all... I mean, I did get to meet Zatanna after. That was..." She clears her throat and tucks her chin down, "She's... faaaancy. In person."

Molly Hayes has posed:
With all the talking and twirling and a distracted Molly's inability to really multi-task, the progress towards the burger place is plodding, at best. Especially when Nico is regaling her with tales of magic and mayhem! "No way! Magic tear thing?! And more magic?! And... ZATANNA!?" she gasps. "Fancy? She's.. she's.." her cheeks tint pink some, "..she's beautiful is what she is! But you're prettier!" she says, nodding quickly, and not entirely realizing what she'd said. "...I dunno any magic though! And I don't mind jeans or shorts! But! I got to work with Superman! And Supergirl! And... and... Goth Power Girl!" she titters, her head bobbing making the fluffy brows on her hat wiggle all the more.

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico's all warm little smiles, even reaching up to teasingly ruffle Molly's hat as she nods, "Yeah! Like... I kinda knew her! For awhile! Like, we said /hey/ and stuff!" She gasps and goes wide-eyed, "Wait, you helped Superman too?! He totally got me to do like... magic for him once! Because of the demons! They were like... bugging his friend or taking over his bar or something, and... I had this pendant that's like a magic pager? And he just sorta showed up and was like 'You! Nico! Magic girl!' and then flew me off to help." Her eyebrows pop up and she looks down at herself, "Wait, there's a /goth/ Power Girl? ...She's got to be... whoa."

Molly Hayes has posed:
"Yeah! Superman! I caught a building! They helped me put it down before I got all squishied!" Molly nods, blushing as she's ruffled. "Uhuh! She's got black hair and black clothes and is all... like Power Girl but not?" she struggles to explain it, shrugging. "I dunno, I um. I fell asleep after we put the building down... it was real heavy. I'm.. bigger now 'n stuff but... it's still a /lot/ of weight." She sighs, then nods some more, "But yeah she's like whoa!" there's a giggle, her cheeks still tinted some. "I missed you, Nico! I missed everyone! I'm glad you're here. This place sucks. I've got people an' friends an' a home but I'm sharing a room an' I'm eighteen now...! But I don't have a job or anything and they held me back cuz of all the school I missed..."

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico's eyes just go wider as her mouth hangs open as Molly just... casually talks about holding up a building. Nico squirms and slips from MOlly's grasp to land on her feet and loop an arm around slim shoulders, leaning in as they close in on the burger joint. Black lips press to Molly's cheek in a warm peck and she heaves out a sigh, less regretful and more... fond. Adoring. "Awww, it's not so bad! I mean, now that you're eighteen you can find a place to move... I mean you might kinda wind up sharing a room... at the least an apartment... I'm kinda looking at a place, I /think/ it's... two bedrooms. If you count the closets as bedrooms... do you think you could... I mean, if you wanna... like..." She frowns thoughtfully, "I don't think we could call ourselves Runaways, but... Roomies isn't a great super team name..."

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly pauses, letting Nico down. She then blinks, her cheeks a little pink from the cold, but that gets fixed up right quick when black lipstick lands on her skin. She just blinks, "Y-yeah but I need money to move... and... the job and stuff.. and I always hear adults complaining about how expensive New York is... and Happy Harbor in't much better!" she pouts, leaning into Nico and hugging those arms around her. But she brightens at the suggestion, hugging her smaller curves against the witch.

"Huh? Share a place? You think?" she asks, "Would be better than what I have now! By a huuuuuuuge amount! I can't even put my posters up!" Then she scrunches up her nose, "..I'unno, the Runaways wasn't a good 'team' name an' we were just a buncha friends anyway... we can be a super team but not be a Super Team, you know?"

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico's shoulders rise and fall, "I mean, I feel like super teams just name themselves after what they're doing anyway! The Avengers probably avenged something, we ran away, that magic group I was in was the Night Brigade and they always seemed to meet at night." Nico laughs, tensing a touch as Molly latches on, squeezing her dear friend reassuringly. "We'll figure it out."

She clears her throat softly, "I mean, okay, I don't /have/ a place yet, but I had this... open invitation to rent a place for cheap. I dunno how big it'll be, but it'll be ours and you can hang your posters up even if it's just one room! But I think they said it had a kitchen so it's... gotta be two rooms right?" She nods solemnly and murmurs deadpan, "Plus, if we became a Super Team we'd need uniforms or whatever. No thaaaank you."

Molly Hayes has posed:
"Oh! Like... uh. I've seen 'em on tv... a studio apartment?" Molly asks, leaning up and accidentally bumping noses with Nico before backing up just a little bit. "I mean, I don't take up much space! I... guess I'm a lil' bigger now but..." she looks down at herself, then back up at Nico before poking her tongue out. "Blech, uniforms. Then I wouldn't get to wear my hats! Or my cool shirts! And especially my hats!" she huffs. "...ooh a kitchen means room for my Froot Loops and nobody will try to steal them!"

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico's nose scrunches lightly at that nose-to-nose poke, and as Molly pulls back, her head darts forward with a feigned snap of her jaws! She grins brightly and hums out, "Oh, yeah! I mean, you're still small enough I could just tuck you into my bed. You barely take up any space at all!" She stretches her arms above her head, fingers balling into fists, wrists flexing and rolling as she laughs softly, "Oh, I don't know about that! I mean, Froot Loops are pretty irresistible. I might steal some!"

Molly Hayes has posed:
A noise escapes the owl-hatted girl as she's playfully nipped at and she almost flails! Then the mention of being tucked into Nico's bed makes her eyes widen a moment and she blinks, her cheeks turning a little more pink. "Oh! Right! We'd.. we'd uh. Be sharing a bed. Wouldn't we..." she almost squeaks out. Molly can't help but look her friend over again, up and down and back up, chasing those arms before getting a good view of the taller witch. "...I... guess it'd be our bed? Or I could crash onna couch... couldn't be any worse than how we lived before..." she idly scratches at the side of her head, looking thoughtful, still blushing. "...but. Um. I guess. I'd share my Froot Loops with you. Cuz. I dunno how I'd pay for anything..."

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico's eyes are glitening playfully, and her lips involuntary quirk up for a brief moment as Molly blushes, head bobbing. "I mean, if it's only got the one bedroom I guess we could like... play rock paper scissors for who stays on the couch." She shrugs lightly and whistles cheerily, head shaking quickly, "Oh! You won't have to worry about paying. I mean, okay, we'll have to get you your Froot Loops, but like, I work a lot of waitressing gigs and... ahh... well, I'm /pretty/ good at liberating the leftovers." She hums softly and crosses her arms behind her lower back, entirely casual as she chirps out, "We'll have to get you a resume! You can totally find a job. Like, heck, if you don't mind people knowing you've got powers, you could totally get a job in a warehouse."

Molly Hayes has posed:
Yep she's still blushing. "...Imeanwhatifwesharedthebed?" she asks quickly. "...it's not like.. we all didn't huddle up a bunch..." she adds. "...cuz... we've been through a whole lot together..." she mumbles, looking away. Then she sighs, "Nooooooo. A warehouse job? I'm still in school! An'... can't I just... punch bad guys for a living?!" she swings at the air playfully. "C'mon I bet Superman doesn't have a day job! Don't heroes get a salary or something? Like, a per-head bounty for each goon they toss in a cell?"

    Poor summer child.

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico quirks an eyebrow and grins, leaning over and /pecking/ that blushing cheek, "Calm down, Moll. It's fine. We'll share a bed if we've got to, plus like... we'll have heating and hot water and stuff so it'll be /better/ than before!" She hums softly and murmurs out, "Well, I mean, there are some people who'll pay for yout o beat up mafia goons and the like." She lets that hope hang for a long moment, "But they're also mafia goons. I don't think heroes get paid. I mean, maybe the Justice League gets like... a stipend or the Avengers or something, the ones run by rich people. But this would be run by us, so..."

Molly Hayes has posed:
That's two lipstick marks on her cheek now. She presses her palm to it, feeling how it's just a touch sticky. "I-I mean I wouldn't mind... you're... um..." she babbles for a sec and then is distracted by the talk of waster. "AH! Yes! Hot water!" she groans. "...it's always out by the time I get to take a shower before school!" the girl whines. "But Molly, your classes start later than the others!" she uses a mocking tone of voice. Then hangs her head in defeat as her hopes are dashed of making a business out of beating up crooks. "...maaaaaaan... is this why the bad guys are bad? Cuz it's easier to cheat and steal when you've got superpowers?!"

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico eyes Molly without /openly/ eying Molly, teeth clenching on her lower lip as her friend touches that lipstick mark, and then goes into more babbling and stammering, and Nico's /too/ good of a friend to mention it, letting her work around to hot water. She has to fight not to laugh at Molly's woes, she's just so... adorable about it!
But then she's nodding and sighing out, "Yep, probably. I mean, I guess also sometimes it's just... convenience in general. You're some minimum wage guy working at your job, and then an alien flying by drops an earthquake generating glove or something, and... like, you can't use it for anything else, so why _not_ crime?"

Molly Hayes has posed:
The flush on Molly's cheeks is about as permanent as that lipstick is right right now. As in, it's absolutely sticking. She reaches up and pulls on the owl-wingy flaps of her hat and pulls it down against her head some more with a sigh. "Urrgh it was just easier when we were using old hideouts and running from the coooops!" she whines, then pouts. "...wow did I really just say that out loud?" she asks, blinking, and looking up at Nico. "...earthquake gloves sound *so* cool. I bet I could punch the ground hard enough to do that! But. Yeah. Maybe. All those bad times were good cuz we were all together..."

Her expression softens and she give a shy smile to her friend, "...an' now you're here. So. We're together. And. I wanna stay that way."

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico snorts out and snickers softly, "Oh sure it was, especially when it was all of us... but like, trust me, doing that on your own? Way more stressful. Even without the hot water in the morning, you've been... it was good for you to go with your foster family."
She reaches out to lightly ruffle that owl hat and sighs out, "And yeah, now we're back together, and I mean... I don't know about you, but I haven't seen hide nor hair of culty weirdos around me. Okay, like, there was _one_ cult, but they weren't... that kind of cult. And they weren't after me. And this burning skeleton guy uhh..." She clears her throat and almost flinches, "Yeah, those guys aren't a problem anymore."

Molly Hayes has posed:
"I mean the Junipers are /okay/ I guess. And. There's some real nice people at Happy Harbor. Some real not-so-nice ones too but..." she sighs, shoulders slumping. "Everyone's graduating an' I won't be able to room with Vivian cuz she's done, an'... bleh." She pokes her tongue out and makes a sour face. "Bouncing back and forth sucks. I just. I want some stability...? I mean... for. Like... all of the stability as... a hot goth witch an' a girl who can stop a dump truck with her lil' finger can hope for.." she beams.

"...I've still got two years of high school and I wanna be able to do my own thing..." she pushes up on her toes, leaning heavily into the ruffling, just wanting to feel the warm touch of her friend. "...an' maybe punch flaming skeletons with you sometimes."

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico smiles lopsidedly, leaning over and hooking her arm around Molly's shoulder snugly, tugging the younger girl closer, "Oh, Molly hon... there are /big giant jerks/ everywhere. But the Junipers are good people. And I'm sure you've met some friends at Happy Harbor... and yeah, it's good to finish your education."

She grins and hums out, "Oh! So you want to live with a /hot/ goth witch? Well, I think Zatanna's more a 'magician' than a witch, and just brunette, not goth... so..." She clicks her tongue and sighs, "I guess I'll just have to do my best to fill in for /all/ those categories! I can do goth and witch for sure." She shakes her head and snickers, "Oh no! I was... ah... the flaming skeleton was on my side! Or like, at least, we were both on the 'Screw these cult dweebs' side. No need to punch him. Plus I think there's more'n one? Like, there's news stories about him on a bike, or in a car... guy can't like... just decide he's in a muscle car mood right? Maybe like, there's a radioactive burning skeleton out there biting people." She hums softly, "So! What're your new years plans, hon?" It just slips out. 'Hon'. So easy and simple.

Molly Hayes has posed:
Maybe her flustered reactions are tempered by her mouth running a mile a minute, but she emits an adorable squeak when she's pulled in by the taller girl's arm. And maybe the teasing is making her react faster than her brain can tell her mouth to shut up "I was talking about you /anyway!/" she huffs, mock-pouting some her owlflap cap's wings flopping some. "You're the..." And there it is. Her brain catches up but the dumpster is already rolling down the hill. Her cheeks turn red and she blinks. "...hot... goth witch..." she bites her lip as she hides her face against Nico's shoulder.

All just in time for a subject change. "OH! YEAH! GHOST RIDER!" she exclaims, perhaps a little too loudly. Saved by the spirit of vengeance? For a moment. Then she's called 'hon' and being asked about tonight. "Plans?" she blinks, back to being knocked off balance. "..shucks.. I uh. I didn't have any.." she sighs. "..I can't go to all the fun parties or anything an' th'family won't go out to the city for the thing because it's too crowded, an' too loud, an' too cold, an' the younger kids have to be in bed by a certain time -anyway-..." she's back to pouting.

"...so they just watch it on TV and have everyone pile in the living room..." she sighs, clearly this has been her NYE experience for a few years now. "...an' besides... don't... aren't people like, supposed to smooch when the ball drops? So it's good luck for the new year or something?"

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico snorts softly, biting her lower lip tightly... because of /course/ she knew Molly meant her. But flustering the girl was just too fun. Too sweet. And admitting those feelings that are so befuddling her dear friend are matched in her own whirling mind would be... so much more complicated. She heaves out a soft, warm little sigh, murmuring out softly, "Aww... Moll... you're just... the best!"

Nico guides Molly on, up ahead there's a faint glow of signage... ah yes, the fabled burger joint. Their destination. Although... Nico can't help but think on that. Molly's got a point. She's /also/ not got anywhere to go for the night. And this meeting was fate or something. She doesn't want it to end.

She stifles a grin and nods her head in solemn understanding to each and every point Molly raises, pace picking up a little... it's been quite a walk, and Nico has to admit, she is /hungry/. Turns out emotional conversations are kind of taxing. She hums softly, "Well, I didn't have any plans really. Thought maybe I'd like... I dunno, try to find some cult trying to usher in doomsday and crack some heads. Hocus some Pocus." She shrugs and whistles softly, "I mean, I don't think it's just a kiss for good luck! It's like... mistletoe for Christmas but more. It's supposed to be someone you care about. Someone you want to be around more." She glances sidelong, swallowing, she can /feel/ the blush on her cheeks. "I mean, if you won't get in trouble, we could hang out. We could find a place to watch the ball drop and... I mean..." She gives a little high-low whistle, "I think I know where I can find a... hot goth witch you could share that kiss with."

Molly Hayes has posed:
"Not the best. Well. Maybe the best at SOME things..." Molly puffs out her chest which... isn't hard. "Thanks, Nico..." she says softly, trailing off. She sees the burger place looming ahead. Finally. This walk felt like it took -days- but. In such good company? That's a good thing. So it felt both super long and maybe all too short. But all's right in the world, she's got one of her best friends here in town and she's all here for it. "...oh man... fighting a doomsday cult on New Year's Eve would be awesome..." she says softly, having images of 'bim, bam, boom!' and smacking guys in hooded robes around dancing in her head like sugarplums.

Her imagination is enough to distract her from most of Nico's next words. Most. Hanging out? Watch the ball drop? Wait. What was. That last part? Poor Molly bluescreens for a moment, nearly stumbling over her own feet. "...what?" she asks, in a tiny little voice. So small. "REALLY?!" she squeaks, much louder as she parses it finally and her world is rocked. "Youmeanit?!" she asks, cheeks darkening fully and she can see the flush on Nico's face, too. It's as if, maybe, she's actually -really- seeing Nico for the first time. "Imeanyesplease. Imeancanwereally?" she babbles, reaching out for the door to the burger place and scrabbling with a grabby hand. "I'd love that...!" she finally settles and breathes and pushes the door open.

Except it's not supposed to open that way. It's a pull door. But it gives anyway with a loud shearing of metal and popping bolts. Snap. Snap. Creak. Her fingers let go and her eyes widen, which just makes the door fall inward into the shop and CRASH. The glass shatters, too, for good measure. The manager behind the counter slaps his forehead, "OH COME ON NOT AGAIN! THAT'S THE THIRD TIME THIS MONTH!" The perils of running a fast food restaurant in a city full of supers.

Molly just winces and clings to Nico, still blushing. "...o-ooh Froot Loops..."
