Alarms Wailed, Lights Flashed
Date of Scene: 05 January 2023
Location: Xavier's School Front Yard
Synopsis: The missing sauce is never found. Wade gets a busted wrist and golf cart but earns a hug from Franklin Richards. Ororo's already dismal opinion of Wade does not improve.
Cast of Characters: Wade Wilson, Franklin Richards, Ororo Munroe

Wade Wilson has posed:
The first thing that the Xavier's Security Systems likely picked up was the rusty white van that rolled on up along the sidewalk outside the mansion on the street proper. It was one that had been seen before and had a scrawl on the side that declared FREE CANDY in hastily painted red letters. Yet a vehicle stopping only triggered the first stage of security. Also a log file was recognized as that van had been logged entering the area before during some sort of food delivery a few weeks ago.
Then the next level of warning went up as out of the front of the van emerged a figure in red and black that suddenly got a detailed IDENT scan which listed allllll sorts of incidents connected to him. For the Xavier systems had a long memory. The first cellphone warning went out at that point. Which was little more than the identity of the man known as Wade Wilson, along with an image of him walking around the side of the van with the trademark 1970s BigFoot found footage lope.
The next thing that got the security systems to raise the alert level was when the back doors of the van opened and from inside a large wooden box was taken. That box was arranged at an angle against the fence, then a ripcord was pulled and suddenly...
An emergency jet landing slide deployed heavily across the high wrought-iron fence, creating a makeshift ramp as it expanded suddenly with a snap and a hiss of compressed air. The next alert went out and declared, 'Possible Security Breach!' to all the phones of those on the faculty list.
But the red alarms didn't go off until Wade got back into the large van, and then emerged in a Golf Cart gunning it as fast as he could straight at that ramp.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin has decided to return to the school since his last visit went... so... well. Though this time was different, he was there to deliver some of his ethylene physics books he had read as a kid as he thought maybe they could use them in a math class at least to help the students. He was actually relaxing waiting as he read through one of them then the alerts went off. His head went up, like he heard something, but dismissed it as the noise wasn't close enough yet .

He sighed to himself as he closed the book to go look to see what the clamor was as when he had looked up he saw people moving a little.. faster so he put the book away leaned back in his seat and relaxed a bit. It was nice not having to be the one that jumped up and at the problem. He chuckles a bit, though he had no idea how right he was as he figured kitchen fire, lose lawn mower, but was sure it would out.

Ororo Munroe has posed:
Lights flash in the library. A silent alarm signaling an intruder on the school grounds. The phone in her hoodie jacket buzzes against her hip bone. Ororo leaves her book open on the table and goes to the unmanned librarian's desk to call up a hologram of the grounds. A part of the western perimeter fence flashes red, the multiple camera images show a derelict van nearby the outlined area. Her frown deepens as ident shows the perpetrator, she mutters and chuffs under her breath when the slide unfolds, "Yule mcheshi aliyelaaniwa." (That damned clown.)

She leaves the school at a quick walk, and rises into the air from the front steps, her white hoodie and athletic pants fluttering in the breeze as she leans forward picking up speed. Her dark face and generous mouth are set in a grim line somewhere between incredulity and anger at how badly Wade wants to be caught.

Ororo arrives in time to see the cart arc into the air as he crests the ramp. The landing is satisfyingly hard which brings a near smile to her face as she sets down.

"Fool Wade, what are you doing on the grounds?"

Wade Wilson has posed:
Ororo has just enough time to catch that moment when Wade's golf cart is /ROARING/ down that distance, hurtling up and getting a good bit of speed, the engine apparently overtuned to such a degree that its acceleration and top speed are almost absurd. But one thing he didn't entirely calculate for was how much weight that the ramp could support...
Which is why when Ororo rises on that current of wind she has time enough to hear the whir of the motor, then the thud-thump of it hitting the ramp as it roars up along the incline. Only for the ramp to compress partially under the weight of the cart. And Wade. Just enough so that the golf cart doesn't make it over the fence. But instead collides with the top of it and suddenly...
There's a flying Deadpool hurtling toward Storm. Thrown free of the cart as it crashes into the fence, thrown high, his body twisting in mid air as he rushes through the sky.
And then lands painfully some twenty feet from the fence, likely in front of Ororo.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin looks up at that much sound, and actually moves to the entrance as he thinks someone just had a car accident though that was close. He isn't far, so it isn't difficult to get in view of the after effect of what just happened. Though is silent as he tries to figure out what just happened as he can see it, but it confuses him as why would anyone do that. He calculated in his head with a nod the angle with the weight of the cart though it just made him shake his head to face what is here.

He quietly stands at the door not moving further into the yard staying back by the entrance, he only says "M'am" giving her a nod just incase to let her know he was there though not sure what names they were using just yet. He was not familer with this person personally, but he had heard about someone like this, and if he remembered right it didn't end well. Well he made it over the fence, maybe there is something to it.

Ororo Munroe has posed:
Arms akimbo on her hips, pale eyes flashing impatiently, Ororo gazes down on Wade unsympathetically, knowing full well his amazing power of recovery. She irritably pushes back a shock of white hair ruffled by the speed of her flight and taps a foot, waiting for the inevitable groan as he comes around.

Where is the cavalry? She may be the only teacher at the school with most of the students away on winter holiday. Only one person, a familiar face, was out on the porch as she rose in the air. Distracted she peered down, willing the student's name to bubble to the surface and rushed to the scene, leaving him behind.

The man at her feet, (as it should be, were she to voice her opinions aloud) Ororo looks back through the trees toward the school, perhaps missing the precious moment when Wade opens his eyes.

Wade Wilson has posed:
"Ooooohhhh." Is the first sound to come form the Merc with the Mouth as he lies there, arms and legs a discombobulated jumble. His right arm looking positively gruesome with how the wrist is snapped and his forearm twisted. He groans again and digs his hand into the now somewhat damaged lawn as he pushes himself up partially.
"No wait, no need to rush to my aid. I got this." His white eyelets widening as his head sways back and forth a little woozy. He looks up, "That was great. Did I make it? Think I woulda done better wearing a rhinestone red white and blue jump suit? Very Knieval."
He sits up and hisses through his teeth, "Ahhh, ok that doesn't look good." He lightly slaps his dangling wrist with his good arm and causes the hand to flop around disgustingly. "Still, could be worse."
Then he looks up, "Oh. Heya Roro. Man when did you start working out? You're all..." He makes an arm flex motion. "I like it, looks good on you."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin quietly watches the two as the injured man seems to be slowly getting up. Franklin did hope that mean it was some kind of regeneration because that did look like it hurt. Without a word he steps off the porch to float out as well towards the two as they get their first words in. He doesn't seem to be in a hurry instead seeming to check his watch to see if there were other signals coming in. Worried the man might not be by himself, or brought someone with him was his worry for now, and he had to use his own tech since the schools was not connected.

Though he is searching he doesn't say anything just slowly float towards the two sure to get there soon enough, but he did consider to himself that his sister was right. Floating... did make you feel a bit... bigger, and put a smile on his face as he approached the much more curious then hostile.

Ororo Munroe has posed:
The wrist is hard to look at, Ororo steels herself and huffs a laughs without humor. Pale eyes narrowing, "You have not seem my abs, trouble maker. But if you're lucky, you might feel my foot as I kick you off the grounds."

Out of the corner of her eye, she catches sight of the student's landing. As he touches ground his name comes back to her - Franklin. Just the name, no details. Still focused on Wade, Ororo lifts a hand to acknowledge the students arrival.

"So just what brings you here? Did it ever occur to you to call ahead? Get permission?"

Wade Wilson has posed:
"Ah man," Wade slowly sits up then grimaces. "I think I landed on my keys..." He hisses again through his teeth behind the mask, shaking his head. Then his attention lights upon Franklin as the young man floats over, "Oh heya kiddo... yeah, don't worry. Your uncle Wade just wrecked himself without even checking himself. Don't do drugs. Stay in school. Drink your milk." He gives the young Richards a thumbs up as if finishing an After School Lesson.
Then he adds, "You wouldn't happen to know any reconstructive urologists around these parts? Yeah? No. Fuckit."
He looks back at Ororo. "I am owed... a blood price must be paid!" He says sternly, domineering even as he tries to push himself to his feet. He winces and stumbles, holding his twisted arm against his chest and then looks around, "I have some sense of honor and it has been besmirched! You look at that honor. You can totally see the smirch. It is a whole shitload of smirching." He gestures, "One of your people stole from me."
    He points accusingly at Ororo.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin looks quietly at him accessing the damage and regular heal times, and though biology wasn't his speciality it was part of the general education that both him and his sister got. He sighed a bit looking at the man like a calculation not really minding the blood as it was just a thing to be brought into the check. He did give him a slight nod, as he didn't expect anyone to get out of that and he was already sitting up it was actually quite amazing. He rubbed his chin the multiplication of healing, but shook his head it wasn't time to lose focus.

Finally he speaks up talking to Storm, "He is alone there shouldn't be any other visitors." then gives a small shrug as this didn't make any sense to him as he didn't really realise. Though letting them know and falling back he did fall into line back a bit as if a past student just falling into it more then anything from a bit of old habbits.

Ororo Munroe has posed:
Ororo massages her forehead during Wade's school safety patter and watches Franklin's reaction with little sidelong glances.

Her expression softening as she addresses the student. "Franklin, right? Don't worry; he'll be alright. Just too bad his powers don't do anything for his head." She taps her own in demonstration.

The softness disappears as she turns on Wade, "Blood price, you clown?"

Despite her best intentions, she reaches out a hand to grudgingly haul him to his feet. This was not the Weather Queen's first encounter with the King of Sass.

A hand claps to her chest when he points, reproving her. Her mouth drops open in disbelief, and she sputters, the slight lilt on certain words becoming more apparent, "Me? What? You have been harmed? Tcha."

Wade Wilson has posed:
A glance is given toward Franklin, "Yeah, like I'd need my crew to storm this place." He then looks back at Ororo and then antagonizes her by making an X with his arms and snapping, "X-Force!"
But then he confronts Ororo all the more, "You remember when I came by last and I brought presents? I was feeling all super great." He starts to walk toward the mansion then, dragging one foot as he walks, starting to step around Storm as he heads in the direction of the manor house proper. "I brought like 800 bucks worth of McRibs and you were all, 'gee thanks Wade.' and I was all, 'Hey no problem, nerds." He then turns around and starts walking backwards, his twisted arm still flopping around messily.
"Only then!" He looks accusingly at Ororo and Franklin, "To realize one of you people stole one of my tubs of Barbecue sauce." He points at them one after the other and then says, "J'accuse!"

Franklin Richards has posed:
As Franklin see's Storms reaction he can't help but wince a little bit for Deadpool. I mean sure he could heal, but words can really hurt and she was not the one to play with so he couldn't help but feel.. Wait. He looks up again, and sighs hoping he didn't hear the words he just said. Thankfully he just explains why he is here in full for them so Franklin relaxes a little bit after hearing the story, though still a bit on guard because of X-Force by reminding him there is no way there is relation.

Holding up two fingers together pointing up as the man gets up Franklin does not do nothing, he is ready to hold back whatever may try to walk by him if needed, he did not need to put anything out there just yet. Besides Storm being here made him feel a lot less worried about the person and more a just incase he some how got past her. He grined at that idea, that would take one heck of a headfake.

Ororo Munroe has posed:
Refusing to be sucked in more by his outrageous silliness, Ororo keeps an even expression while Wade runs on about McRibs. She slightly shakes her head for Franklin's benefit. "No, I don't remember McRibs. And no I don't know anything about barbecue sauce. Besides how could we steal something you gave us? Wade. Wade. You have had faaaar too many accidents for your own good."

When he points at Franklin, roping him into the affair, her expression hardens, "Tu m'emmerdes, Wade. He wasn't at the school when you brought your mystery ribs. Now, do you want to come back with me and rest up until you heal or do I need to put you straight out?"

Wade Wilson has posed:
The mercenary grumbled to himself a little, giving Franklin a hint of a stink eye as one of his mask's eyelets widen, then he looks back over toward Ororo. He says succinctly, "I gave everyone the McRibs. The sauce was for me." He points out. Then he takes a deep breath.
"But I dunno, 'Roro." He starts to walk along with the Weather Witch as he grabs his hand and _pulls_ on it until it crackles and settles back into place, not healed but at least it'll heal better this way. "I've looked all over the place and I can't find it. You know how hard it is to find McRib sauce?"
He turns and growls at Franklin, "It's only available for a limited time, kid! Maybe never again! You don't know!" Then back to Storm and suddenly is calm again.
"So yeah, I got that goin' on."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin listens a bit more, and smiles a bit when she offers to take him inside he lowers the two fingers he rose up before he moves forward again coming up to them. "We have all lost it over McRibs before yes. I am sorry for your loss." he starts slowly. "That is all this is about though yes?" he looks at Deadpool again as if suspecious he is working for someone though is willing to get past it. He wanted to give the person one last chance to pass any message before he dismissed the idea as just his horrible timing

Returning to his watch Franklin begins searching, seeing if there is any places left, or supplies that didn't sell. Checking around different orginizations to see if maybe there was a way everyone could leave happy. Or at least not sauce-less.

Ororo Munroe has posed:
The woman swallows her discomfort when he cracks his wrist back into place and listens with her mouth parted in wonder when Franklin tenders his sympathy for Wade's loss. To her credit, she doesn't roll her eyes, and glances more pointedly at the student when he asks Wade if that was all. Does Wade need more reason than a bucket of barbecue sauce?

She gestures with an open hand to Franklin, saying to Wade, "See, you won him over. He is looking for your sauce." Storm often misses cultural cues like the importance of McRibs.

"It looks like your cart is done for Wade. Good thing you didn't damage the fence. You would owe -us-." Hurriedly she adds, "Not that we owe you a thing for this sauce."

They arrive at the steps. "Lucky for you, most everyone is out of the school. Otherwise..." She makes a neck cutting gesture while shaking her head.

Wade Wilson has posed:
"It's the principle of the thing, Goth Doug Ramsey!" Deadpool says sternly at Franklin, then he looks across the way toward Ororo, "Nobody steals from Deadpool and gets away with it. Unless I forget about it in some sort of fugue state."
Which has him pausing in mid-stride as his eyelets distance, something far off clearly having caught his vision. But it's only for a moment as he shakes his head. "Anyways."
He resumes walking and then confesses, "I think I was also hoping that would be the big moment, you know. The big push that finally gets me on the team. I mean you give people tons of McRibs and you figure 'Hey... now they gotta love me.'" He shakes his head, turning around, arms spreading wide, his broken wrist not quite as floppy.
Then he shakes his head and says softly, "But no. My phone, it doth not runneth over with thine messages. My heart. She breaks."
Then he tilts his head, "Though I have to say the whole trip was worth it to see you, Ororo cuz really." He looks at her and says simply. "Damn."
He gestures, "What did you do girl? Crossfit? Pilates? Tae Bo? Cuz like I said." His head wobbles as he emphasizes the last word he says in that moment. "Damn."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiles a bit and shrugs, "You know it has been one of those kind of days that if I could do something.. Maybe it would turn it around." he says to Storm before there is a beep, and Franklin grins to himself though doesn't say anything instead quietly walking with them. "And hello.. I am sorry for the late introduction.. Franklin Richards, Fantastic Four... he doesn't stop smiling though as he finds it actually quite entertaining.

As he talks about why he needed it, and what he was going to use it for Franklin considers it that isn't a bad idea. Not Ribs of course, but I mean Franklin could cook. He put a pin in that for now, and would go back to that as he continues. "I am curious though does he always seem to talk like this.. it does seem rather.. Consistant." and chuckles a bit.

Ororo Munroe has posed:
"Of course! I thought you were a student, home early from Christmas break. Were you waiting for someone?"

Eyebrows hiked high at Franklin's question, she fixes Wade with a stare as if to confirm what she is about to say.

"Yes! Always! Without stop."

Ororo's then rounds on Wade, her large almond eyes narrowing as she bites back an angry laugh. Still, one finger lightly brushes a lock of hair back at his flattery. Then, ruefully shaking her head, "Woe is you. Do you really wonder why, Wade? Can't you imagine what a thorn in the side you are to the Headmaster? Then there is the small matter of teamwork. TEAMWORK. I don't think you've learned the word quite yet. Come on. Come inside and get a drink of water or something."

Wade Wilson has posed:
Wade Wilson is having none of it, especially from clearly this former New Mutant. "I'll hear none of that talk, Josh Foley." He points at Franklin, "You think I'm not onto you, but I am fully aware of who you are, Samuel Guthrie." The mercenary with a mouth turns away and shakes his head. "And to think all the times I saved your life, Rusty Collins."
But in that moment he side comments to Franklin in a too loud whisper, "That last one is obscure, you may have to look it up. Issue #137 I think." He then gives Franklin a thumbs up with his good hand and adds, "'Nuff said."
Which is when he turns back toward Ororo. "HEY!"
He points at her again and stops walking to the mansion. "I am the leader of my own team in case you didn't notice!" Which is when he rounds on Franklin and crosses his arms in front of him again.
    "X-Force!"
Then he turns back to Ororo. "At least I've been told I do, so that like... your whole argument is..." He makes an unflattering fart sound. "That's it, you guys blew it. You had your chance for the Wademeister to give you guys some... some gravitas! Some emotional journey! Not your monster of the week stuff you always do."
He starts to stomp back toward his van and the front gates of the mansion. "Or that Savage Land stuff you guys are always trying to do. Just to get Rogue into her underwear." He turns around now walking back past Franklin, "I know things!"

Franklin Richards has posed:
Watching Wade he does answer, "No... I was actually here do drop off some books. Gabby helped me with something so, I figure I would play it forward to the school itself if you will." and smiles a bit. "If nothing else I am sure the Doctor will enjoy them." at the same time trying not to fall to the barbs of acusation thrown his way again though he considered what he said. "I will see what I can do to aquire that though I think it might be a bit difficult." inside Franklin wondered if it even existed. Though this was unlikely to work, Franklin had long ago stopped getting mad, or frustrated on one person too much, as that tended to lead to them facing much worse things that he should of controlled. So instead he just takes it in pace, listening to the person talking, as he passes by Franklin does something that he really hoped Deadpool wouldn't try to shoot him for.

He put a hand on the Mercs sholder as he walked by, and looks at him. "Don't give up.. Find a way it is worth it in the long term." then removes his hand again deciding that he would have to get out strong soap when he got home though he still truely believed the message so was all he could say. Assuming he can he takes a step away from Deadpool to make sure he doesn't think he is going to reach out again letting him go as well if that is the intention.

Ororo Munroe has posed:
Franklin obviously rushes in where angels fear to tread. Despite all the acrimony her expression softens when Franklin dares to put a hand on Wade's shoulder. Ororo stares at the both of them, lips parted, ready to invite Wade in again, then she thinks better of it.

"How does he know? Who is his insider, I wonder?" she mutters to herself, then waves a hand in dismissal.

Wade Wilson has posed:
Turning in that moment as Franklin stops him and rests a hand on his shoulder. It's clearly a moment when there's a connection made, a subtle feeling of camaraderie, a hint of kinship that crosses party lines between The Fantastic Four and whatever the hell Wade ultimately is. He can see such compassion in the young man's eyes and for a moment Deadpool's white eyelets just fill with what could only perhaps be considered tears somehow.
It's there... right there that they make a true connection, a moment when they each share something with the other so deep. A soft 'sniff-sniff' sniffle is heard. And then slowly... slowly. Wade reaches out and takes Franklin in his embrace. And curiously enough the mercenary does have a suspicious scent of BBQ sauce. He thumps Franklin on the back several times, then holds the young man out at arm's length, his red and black gloves resting on his shoulders. Again he sniffles.
"That was so kind. So touching." He shakes his head, "I'll never forget you, Jamie Madrox."
    Wade turns away.
Though as he attempts to walk so forlorn, so grief stricken as he has been so sadly rejected... he makes his way toward the gate. But not before he lifts a hand to the side of his mouth with thumb and pinky finger extended like a telephone as he whispers again too loud, "Call me." Then he winks exaggeratedly.
But then it's back to the sad shuffle toward the gate. So sad.

Ororo Munroe has posed:
The Queen of Storms watches Wade's back as he limps to the gate, then turns her attention back to Franklin. "Don't believe a minute of it. Come on, I know where there is some barbecue sauce. We might have some leftover ribs."

Once, as she ascends the stairs, she pauses to look over her shoulder at Wade.
