Rose Wilson has posed:
Everyone loves the parks right? Even more so if they but up against the New York Public Library. Rose doesn't seem to be much different than the usual... Well, maybe not the usual homicidial maniac. She leans against the railing at the top of the stairs leading down flipping through a large heavy tome. The title partially blocked out by her hand balancing the book open as she skims the pages as if looking for something.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
It is an unseasonably warm day in New York, which has drawn out all of those who have been desperately waiting for the first signs of spring to appear. Mary is one of those, having taken to the jogging paths of Bryant Park with zeal. A pair of tight grey leggings bear slashes of red zigzagging up their sides, and a loose fitting cut-off white t-shirt covers the sports bra as she bears away from the park for a moment towards the front steps of the library. Pausing for a breather, she pulls up the water bottle strapped to her hip and starts taking a series of slow, measured sips.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Rose Wilson glances up from her purusal of the tome with a small half-smile. One silvered brow arching as she looks over to the jogger taking a breather near at hand. Mirth sparkling in her eye as she offers a soft, "Good form. But watch out for the turn near the end of the southern trees. It's renown for dragging it out of folks." The book getting another few pages turned before she glances down to it again with a soft, "Ah ha! Though why I was getting Poe quoted at me, I don't know."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Another few sips of water, and then Mary brings the bottle up to her fore head, resting it there for a moment. "Thanks," she replies, glancing off in the direction indicated. "Been a while since I've jogged over here, so I'll keep that in mind." She huffs and puffs a bit and then glances over at the book that Rose is reading. "He's good, have to give him that."

Rose Wilson has posed:
Rose Wilson grins and shrugs, "Poe? He's alright. A bit darker than most like. But he does get to the point." She glances up again and closes the book. Her eye focusing on you more fully. "Mostly I had someone quote him at me the other day so I was seeking the context for the quote." Her nose wrinkles slightly as she admits, "He got away before I could get a full answer from him. So..." she hefts the books and shrugs. "I chose to look up the phrasing used. Sadly, it still didn't lend any light to the quote."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Nodding along as Rose tells her story, Mary tilts her head in thought. "I'm pretty familiar with his works, actually. And I do enjoy a good puzzle." She takes another few breathes, and then opens up her water bottle again. "What's the quote and what's the context, maybe I can help you figure it out?" Then she sprays some more water into her mouth.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Rose Wilson makes a face at the question, then sighs. "He stated "I was never really insane except upon occasions when my heart was touched" to me while we were battling over an ideal. Still not certain if he was takign a dig at me, or was just trying to throw me off my game." She shakes her head and chuckles, "I hadn't even drawn a blade on him yet. So how was I supposted to touch his heart? Crossbow?" She blinks and glances over as her cheeks darken. "I don't think he was flirting, but now I'm not sure."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thinking for a moment, Mary shrugs. "I'm afraid I'm at a loss, too. I'd be tempted to say that he might have a thing for you, that seems most likely, but I don't feel confident about it." She sprays a last bit of water into her mouth and then rehooks the water bottle to her hip. "Why can't you just ask him a bit more straightforward?"

Rose Wilson has posed:
Rose Wilson chuckles softly as she shakes her head slightly, "Because I was paid to stop him? I'm a merc of sorts." She winks and offers a cheeky grin, "Some friends are trying to reform me, but well... A girl's gotta eat still."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
At that, Mary laughs, shaking her head. "Ah, well, I could see how that might be a challenge on things." She starts stretching her legs for a moment, a sure fire indication that she is about to resume her job. "Good friends. Mercing is no way to go through life. Find friends and family that will support you, because cash won't be there when you most need it." She raises a finger to give a brief salute. "Good luck with the Poe!" And then she turns and heads off back towards the park.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Rose Wilson chuckles to herself as she glances after her erstwhile helper. A small quirk showing at the corners of her lips as she salutes in turn. "Sadly, I?ll need the luck with Poe. And the friends are wonderful, and helping to curb most the appetite for adventure. Most of it."
