Monet St. Croix has posed:
How did one react to having their mother return? How did one handle the emotional upheaval? Was it a good thing or a disruption? Feelings were not Monet's forte. But she had given the girl room and only approached her several days after the mourning ceremony. Currently up in the sky in New York where she had arranged to meet, M would just be floating there. Looking across the skyline as it would be snowing, the city having a thin blanket of frost and fog about it.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara glides through the January skies, lost in her own thoughts. White dusting falls from the skies, but melts on contact with the Kryptonian. She flies over towards Monet, and smiles. "Hey there." she says, softly. "How are you doing? Sorry I've been busy lately."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "I think you've had good reason to be busy. Nothing to apologize for." She would take her hands over to squeeze at Kara's wrists. "I've been fine. I.. Can understand that.. These circumstances can be very confusing."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara looks over to Monet, and drifts up, clasping Monet's wrists in kind as they hold hands. "It's been a very difficult time." She admits, before looking over to Monet. "Sorry. I...I wasn't expecting you to get all tangled up in my family issues. It was unintentional."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "It happens. Your mother is an.. Amazing woman. You take much after her." She would go to intertwine her hands with Kara's. "There is nothing to apologize for. I can imagine it's taken some adjustment."

Kara Danvers has posed:
"I don't know about that. She's one of the most fantastic women in my planet's history. I was a teenager who got lucky." Kara smiles wanly. "And yeah. To put it mildly. This is all stuff I'd put behind me quite some time ago. Or...I thought I had. Turns out, not so much."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "Then I can see where you came from to some degree." She would go to stroke at Kara's hair. "I can understand it's difficult to process. But it also gives you some closure on things. And.. I'm sorry about your father."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara tenses a little, fingers gripping just a touch tighter. "I am to. He deserved better. Most of my people did. But...I was just stupid. I let my hope go up when I found out my mother was alive. Only one miracle, I think." she says, with a forced, slight smile.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod gently, "You have one miracle. Treasure it." Her letting the fingers grip her in a little more. She could take it. "I'm so sorry again for your loss." gently. How could one describe the loss of ane ntire people and culture in a meaningful way? One could just put it down to one at a time. The loss of amother and father.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara smiles. "I'm sorry it kept us apart in the holidays. I would have liked to spend more of them with you. But things got...well, a little crazy. To put it mildly. But I'm here now. I haven't gotten to give you your gift yet, though."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would shake her head, "You're fine. And thank you." She would lean in, "I have something for you as well but it was a bit big to bring with me so I left it elsewhere. And I'm just glad that you're all right."

Kara Danvers has posed:
"We should do a belated holiday celebration." Kara offers to Monet, smiling, and leans in to give her a kiss on her cheek. "Do it right, even if we couldn't do it before." She smiles to the other girl. "Pick some place we'd like to go, and just enjoy it."
