Synopsis: Marie, Mary, and Mary Jane Meet!
Cast of Characters: Mary Jane Watson, Marie-Ange Colbert, Mary Bromfield

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
It was a brisk sort of day over in Central Park. A bit cold. A light layer of frost about. Mary Jane was currently walking through the park wearing a large parka over her body to keep out the chill and with a.. Very large sword strapped over to her back in a sheathe of a very, very high quality if one were to take -too- close a look atit. It definitely wasn't something used for LARP'ing..

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
It's a brand new day...

For Marie, it's a brand new day, and one where she doesn't entirely know what to expect. Normally, she'd start her day with a reading, and follow the direction of her cards from there. However, due to... circumstances beyond her control, she was a little nervous about turning to the deck. In fact, today may have been the first day she's spent on this side of the ocean without at least one on her person!

Beyond that, she just needed to get out of the house. Clear her head for a bit. Let all the weirdness pass. So she's dressed in a one of those grey puffy coats, pink earmuffs... probably a couple layers of black leggings, and white snow boots to complete the look. Her hands are tucked in her pockets as she walks, fingers constantly in motion.

Of course... the sight of someone carrying a sword through the middle of the park? That brings her pause -- a freeze, even. It may be impolite to stop and stare... but Marie is full deer in headlights right now.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
For Mary Bromfield, the day's weather is a little bit different. She grew up in the Mid-West, and so her perceptions of cold are a little bit different than most. Enjoying the brisk winter air, she is walking around with just a white long sleeve t-shirt and a stark red vest zipped up most of the way. She is wearing a hat, though, a soft poofy one with a ball on top that does not QUITE look perfectly made, but appears to be a very well made home made accessory. A pair of red legging match the vest, and completing the ensemble is a golden colored scarf wrapped around her shoulders and some of her neck, but not in a way that is going to provide much in the way of protection from the elements.

With all of his in place, she is walking slowly along in the park with a steaming cup of coffee in one hand, her other hand hanging at her side, both in fingerless gloves.

And yes, the woman with the sword earns more than just a passing stare.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane is going to walk along with the giant sword and then see the attention over on her and go to err and wave, "This is a thing from a movie set. They were doing some filming and I kind of noticed them.. Not taking it with them when they were done and thought it was way too cool." She would play up innocently over. Oh yes. Mary Jane was -not- the best liar, extroverted girl that she was.
Fortunately, the Sonja part of her was very, very smooth. "I think they made it for real. Maybe even had someone with an actual hammer hitting it to make it." Playing up her -not- quite awareness of what it was.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Even after a few years in the States, Marie still wants to believe the best of people. She automatically tends to give people the benefit of the doubt. So, when Mary Jane speaks up and offers an explanation for the weapon... Marie just offers a slow now, looking a little more relieved as she walks closer towards the (other) redhead.

"I did not realize that a film was being made here." she admits, French accent coming through easily; though it's not entirely unheard of for a movie to be shot in the middle of New York! "Are you acting in it, Mademoiselle?" she asks, letting her curiousity get the better of her now. The other Mary on the scene hasn't quite been spotted just yet. The sword's made for a pretty solid distraction!

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Still, plausible explanations aside, swords in the park are a cause for at least mild investigatin. Mary alters her trajectory and heads over towards the sword wielding one. She has at least a little bit of experience with swords, and magic, so if it is a magic sword...well, she might not know much about it. But her other half would. If it's a problem.

She draws up towards the other two as they chat but remains silent, not wanting to interupt. Esepcially since Marie-Ange is asking the questions she likely would as well.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod over at Marie-Ange, "no, I tried out for a part as an extra when they were doing call outs and I didn't get it. So I figured at least I could have something that woudl've just been dumped in a warehouse somewhere cool. Put it over my mantle. It's not as cool if you can say you carry mace in case people get out of line.." She would mime swinging one wiht her fingers, grinning.
"And nice to meet you." She would glance over at Mary, "Hey. Don't worry, it's fine ot join. Pretty sure neither of us bites."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"I see," Marie replies, letting everything process. "I am sorry that you did not get the part, but, oui, being allowed to take a keepsake home is, how you say... pretty cool?" she surmises, definitely assuming that permission was asked for and given to take the 'prop'. "It is nice to meet you as well. My name is Marie-Ange Colbert, and yours?"

Of course, then one Mary is speaking to another, which makes Marie look over in that direction and... her cheeks flush, just a bit. Rather than speaking a greeting, though, she withdraws a pale, gloveless hand from her pocket and lifts it in a wave.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
"Certainly, an impressive keepsake," Mary chimes in, as if goaded to join the conversation by Mary Jane's statement. She turns and smiles towards Marie-Ange as she sees that wave. "Hey there," she offers, reaching up to brush some hair back from her face before taking another sip of coffee.

She almost forgets that introductions are being made. "Oh, sorry, I'm Mary. Pleased to meet you." This to Mary Jane.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "Well, pleased to meet you Marie-Ange, and Mary. I'm Mary Jane. Looks like we have a bunch of Maries here." Though Marie-Ange doesn't -quite- fit that exact pronunciation. But still, there's amusement in her tone. "I get a nice keepsake and a cool story. All I need now is somewhere that can give me some skulls covered in metal I can wear over my shoulders as a set of pauldrons and I'll never have to worry about having a seat on the bus or the subway ever again. Nice to meet both of you."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie returns the smile in kind, letting herself have a moment to breathe before speaking, "Bonjour, Mary." Another short pause. "It is good to see you again. I apologize I have not been in touch as often as I should. Things have been..." she purposefully trails off. One Mary knows about her and (at least some of) the things she's involved in. The other does not. Her English has gotten better, though!

Turning her attention to MJ, her smile continues. "Enchante, Mademoiselle Jane." Yes, she's taken that as MJ's surname! "Metallic skulls for your shoulders? Perhaps you could ask around at one of the conventions, when they come to town?" Cosplayers are pros when it comes to that sort of thing, and even Marie knows it!

Mary Bromfield has posed:
"Yes, indeed, it is good to see you again!" Mary's cheeks are flushed as well, although it is rather cold out. "I can understand that, and I'm sure you had things to attend to. We all do..." She chuckles for a moment, and then looks back to MJ.

"That is a good suggestion, if that is what you are looking for!"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would glance between the two, "Oh? You two know one another? Nice. I won't get in the way of you two catching up if you're looking forwards to talkong on things." She would smirk, "And I can get to a costuming shop since I'm the one looking to try and go full Death Knight." She would qiup. "And I'm not going to use them for bra cups either. Not in this weather." That would have her face contorting just a bit over as if discussing something internally as her mouth would go 'no matterw hat you say'.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
When Mary Jane makes the connection, Marie offers a bit of a timid nod. "Oui, we do." she responds. "I... I mean I do not mean to be rude, but if you have things that you need to do, I would certainly not mind catching up?" Marie asks, part statement to MJ, part question to Mary. Though, she quickly adds, "If you are not busy that is, of course. If you are there are always other times."

Though, the comments that MJ makes about what she's not going to use them for? Yeah, that has Marie blushing a little deeper. She's not going to comment on that one, nope, not taking the bait!
