Date of Scene: 18 January 2023
Location: Bear hunt in National Park
Synopsis: A bear hunt, that T'Challa uses to get to know his fellow avenger!
Cast of Characters: T'Challa, Greer Grant

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa has been meeting the differnt Avengers, each different, but each an individual dragged together to make a team. This lead to some becoming isolated, and running into issues they don't share because they feel it wouldn't help, and T'Challa felt like it was a responsability of his to make sure the others in the team at least had a chance to speak up. So Greer would get a call from a very serious woman, she would explain that she is calling for T'Challa the king of Wakanda, and he has invited her for a hunt. She would explain the time, and date though not much else. To her it wouldn't be a question someone would want to go, so she might make it seem a bit more matter of fact then T'Challa actually ment.

The place she describes is actually in Shoshone National Forest, and the instructions would be how to get there, as a car and flight is all prepaired for her. T'Challa wanted it to be easy for her, so had already planned out her travel so it would not get in the way. So that is why now in the forest T'Challa waits though he has supplies such as rations, water, some rope, things like that. He wears a thick coat, and is warmly dressed as the cold could get to him..

Of course he did not plan on using any weapon, but he was curious what she would show up with, that is if she did show as he ponders if he should of called himself as Okoye was rather stand-offish.

Greer Grant has posed:
For her part, Tigra's comfortable as an Avenger and found them supportive and helpful during her relatively recent oddness. Since thing things have been calmer, thankfully. The call is something of a surprise, and once upon a time the brusqueness of the "invitation" would have been enough to get her fur up and to refuse outright. This is not then, though, and so she takes advantage of all the travel arrangements to arrive in the forest. She's arrived carrying a light backpack, but no coat her, aside from her natural one. She seems comfortable enough in the weather.

T'Challa has posed:
With a smile he turns as he hears her thankfully as he was just thinking about other things, "Miss Grant.. Welcome." he waves a hand to the trees his accent heavy. "To a small hunt.. I apologize for the short notice." as he turns to look at her. "I am T'Challa, one of the Avengers, as are you. I want to thank you for coming as I had hoped to catch up with everyone." he turns to look into the forest, but mainly at the ground as he kneels down a bit to look closer. "There is a Grizzly that has refused to hibernate, and has turned violent." he shrugs, "I was hoping it was just a territory conflict, but I figure if we can find it we can convince it physically to go into its cave."

He turns and looks at her, "Why don't we walk and talk as it looks like he is heading that way." he adds moving a leaf to show some prints in the ground. "If you don't mind me asking some questions of course?"

Greer Grant has posed:
Ahha, some details become more clear now, especially regarding what sort of hunt he had in mind. She steps over to the mark on the trail, no longer walking in a way to be easily heard, but with her usual near silence, and crouches down to see the prints. "You can certainly ask," she bids him. "I reserve the right not to answer, but don't mind the asking." She hops up off the balls of her feet and stretches her legs back, laying down to get closer to the print, checking for a scent. "Has he gone after campers or other humans?"

T'Challa has posed:
As T'Challa follows he is not as quiet as her, but he is well practiced in moving with little noise as he would follow her when she was ready, moving only to stay out of the way for now. He thinks about her words, and nods to himself as there were many questions he would not answer either so it was fair, and honest. So he starts slow, "I have found there are many more now then there used to be. I was just wanting to check that everyone is getting thier proper attention if needed." he falls to quiet for a bit considering. "I get Avengers can be very individualistic, and part of that is giving them space." he shakes his head watching her. "I wanted to see where you were at."

As he explains the question he stops to consider looking at the trait then back to her as he seeed to ask the right person for the job, "Luckily he has only chased off a couple, and it hasn't come into conflict though if left alone they fear it will escilate as such," he smiles a bit, "I have learned sometimes lions get out of hand if they are not shown they are not the biggest on the plains." he nods to her "I am hoping Bears are simmular... Though I guess just incase I would bring backup."

Greer Grant has posed:
"Well, right now this is where I'm at," Tigra answers with a flick of her tail. Her stride's graceful and easy, the forest no obstacle to her. She pauses now and again, tilt her head to listen and sniff for signs of the bear. "I think that -usually- bears just want to be left alone. If they're not defending a cub or stash of food, or got surprised or something, they don't tend to be aggressive. They're big, though, so don't run away as much as smaller bears." At the mention of lions, she chuckles. "Just a warning, pretty sure grizzlies are bigger than lions." A wry grimace. "Sometimes bigger'n tigers even."

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa nods, and smiles a bit "You are quite literall. I appreacate that, but no.. I mean if you are happy with what the Avengers has done for you." he follows actually moving a bit faster then he looks not to mention agile for his size. He doesn't manage her, or interupt her search as in this terrain she was much better then him. He listens to her discuss them though he only frowns a bit at the description. "I do not believe it was a cub, as it just chassed off those people, and a mother bear can be ruthless. Pehaps I do not know bears well enough though so I could be wrong."

He smiles a bit at that, "And when we find it.. I plan to fight it." he looks at her, "Until it submits, and then force it back into the cave. I have faced many fierce beasts. This is.." he thinks of the word they were using, and adds.. "Relaxing." and chuckles a bit. This is when he felt alive as he had to face it head on not to prove anything, but as it was a true challenge even for him.

Greer Grant has posed:
Tigra's tail gives a casual swish as she ponders debating whether she's literal or not. Nah. "The Avengers have been good for me," she says, without hesitation. "I man, I'm no Captain America or Captain Marvel, I don't bring that level of power to the table, but they've given me a place where I can use my gifts." She pauses a moment, turning to face him, head tilted a bit, though differently from when she was listening and sniffing. "Do bears...work like that?" she asks. "Do they submit, like a wolf to an alpha? I haven't had much dealing with them, so I don't know if they do."

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa nods and listens, "I am glad to hear that, as a fellow member I feel the responsibility to make sure the my fellow teamates are happy." he grins a bit, "Even the ones not on that power level, as you are just important as either Captain. That is how it works." he smiles at the using her gifts. "I am sure hunting bears in a National park was not where you saw yourself, but I do thank you for your assistance." he nods to the tracks and while he could do this by himself it would not of helped him learn more about Grant.

As he is following he does add, "Well yes, as they often fight for territory much like wolves, though I think the alpha wolf has been disproven. " he chuckles a bit, "If it fights to the death there is something truely wrong with it, as most animals will surrender after being injured enough. There are some that are... not right that will continue until their last breath, but it is rare."

As he finishes there is an opening as the forest stops and there is a small cave as the mountains come into view now the land between the two open grassland with nothing to hide behind. Walking back and forth infront of his cave is a male bear. He looks big at maybe three and a half feet big, and hundreds of pounds, though he hasn't seen them and Greer could notice the wind is coming from the mountains. T'Challa says very quietly, "What do you think.. is this natrual as I do not want to just beat up a random bear." and grins as he crouches to make sure he is unseen as well.

Greer Grant has posed:
"I've been a lot of places I never saw myself," Tigra notes with a crooked grin. "This is definitely one of the more normal ones, believe me. And don't worry, my ego's not vulnerable because I'm not a powerhouse. I'm who I am and do what I can, and that's fine for me." She purses her lips thoughtfully. "I hope we don't have to hurt it very much." She crouches down, feeling the wind on her fur to gauge its direction. "Honestly don't know if that's natural or not. If they're supposed to be hibernating right now, well, obviously it's not. I'd feel better if we could tranq it and drag it into its cave. Seems like less to go wrong that way."

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa sighs, and moves his bag infront of him. In it he carefully takes out a large syringe, and shows it to her. "Enough to knock out a Rhino so I wouldn't give all of it.. Maybe three quarters of if." he shows it to her carefull though the needle has a plastic guard on it so it wouldn't poke through anything. "If you wish I can just go out there, and give it this. No harm.." he looks out at the bear then back at her, "I am sorry I will miss out on fighting a bear, but for a teamate." and smiles at her.

He looks around a bit at the trees and then back at the bear, as he pulls out some hand claws ment for climbing trees. "How bout this you go out there, lead it through and when it gets under me I will drop on him and inject him." he nods to her, "No harm other then what we have to."

From there the plan is in action, and together Greer, and T'Challa capture the Grizzly as planned dragging him together back into the Cave. The problum is solved, and T'Challa had a chance to check in with Greer so all is good with his mission. He thanks her for her help, and pays for the travel back to where she needs to go as the day is done!
