Catching Up With the Goth

Synopsis:	Emma and Divine catchup and Emma hears about Divine's coming date! With Destiny and with Cindy.

Emma Frost has posed:
It's been at least a little while since Emma's caught up with Divine. She's glad that the girl has gotten her own routine going, her own lifestyle, and her own contacts. Emma hasn't needed her bodyguard services in a week or so, and she does have a signal she can use to get the girl in an emergency.

Emma has, however, managed to find some spare time and has invited the girl that she's adopted informally to meet up at her business. The promise of pizza, ice cream, and chocolate has been given in sufficient quantities to hopefully guarantee her presence.

Even if Emma isn't touching any of it herself. It's incentive.

Divine has posed:
It's been a busy few days for the clone. Meeting Superman, running into one of the Spider Folks. Busy, but honestly, it's been the best week, or at least the most fulfilling week, in ages. Things are looking up, not that they were bad to begin with, and she's happy to catch up with The Boss.

She strolls into Emma's office, dressed in her usual comfortable and casual style, and before she even says anything, she snags one of those glorious New York pizza slices. As big as her head and indulgantly greasy. She takes a bite, chewing and savoring before she swallows it.

"You always have the good stuff, Miss Frost. It's been a minute."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Good to have you. I did hear that you've had a few things going on. So please do catch me up with the gossip." She would gesture over at the Goth Clone to sit down. "And enjoy whatever you want. This is all your's. An dif we run out of things I'll just order some to be delivered and it should be sent up post-haste." She would go to steeple her fingers together and smile.

"So please do start from the beginning."

Divine has posed:
The best part about being who she is, is that she doesn't really need to eat since she's sustained by the Sun. But she can, and she burns hot. Greasy food for weeks with no ill effects.

She takes the offered seay and lounges, smiling to herself. "Well. I met with Superman the other day. He wants to include me with the rest of the Kryptonians, but he wants to make sure there's no lingering compulsions to murder Power Girl, which is fair. So he's going to arrange a meeting, and we'll go from there." She pauses. "He's really, really nice."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod over at Divine, "Of course. I suppose that we can't have everything." Emma's still strongly tempted by that herself. "Hopefully unless she improves her character you won't have to interact with her again." She would smile. "Yes, yes he is. He's among the best of us. And I have tos ay again how proud I am of you, darling."

Divine has posed:
"I mean, even if there's no genetic compulsion, I kind of want to punch her. We're basically family, sort of, and she wants nothing to do with me, which is fine, but she could at least tell me to my face."

She stuffs more pizza in her mouth, chewing irritatedly. She swallows again. "Thank you for believing in me. If it wasn't for you, I'd be in jail or dead or something."

She pauses again. "I, uh, also kind of have, uh, a date."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shake her head over, "I can't fathom as to what exactly has driven her to become one to help others. She seems extremely.. Arrogant and almost loathing of everyone the few times I've encountered her." Like Emma is one to talk over on that.

"Dear, you would have made yourself work without me. You're a kind person and have a strong heart. That would have shown through no matter what. And oh?"

Emma would look on. "Then who is the very lucky individual then?"

Divine has posed:
Divine really does not know what drives Power Girl. She feels like she should know, they're nearly the same person, but she does not understand how the woman operates.

She finishes the slice of pizza, wolfing it down just to get her hands free. She swallows, and glances sidelong at Emma, turning just the barest shade of pink.

"Her name is Cindy, and she's very nice. And funny. And kind of awkward with people like I am."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "I'm happy for you that you've found someone that you'll enjoy spending time with. Hopefully you'll both find that you can get past your awkwardness together." THere is no moe mention of Power Girl. They're past the unpleasantness of the evening.

"Do you have any particular plans? Oh, nevermind, I don't want to crowd you."

Divine has posed:
"I'm going to take her to dinner. I offered fancy, but I think we're just going to go to some hole in the wall noodle place." A pause. "I still can't believe I've never had noodles!"

Right now, the clone seems to be channeling maximum teenage girl energy. "I have no idea what to wear." Another pause. "She told me to stop calling myself 'Just a clone'."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "That sounds like a lovely plan, dear. I'm sure you'll both enjoy yourselves. Also make sure that it's not too overly planned. That can just make you nervous unnecessarily. Wander, enjoy yourselves, and take the time to look around the city."

She would reach her hand forwards tos queeze Divine's wrist. "And you are not just a clone. You are your own person. Your own individual. And if you're worried about not having something to wear.. I do owe you a shopping trip."

Divine has posed:
She knows she's her own person. It's been drilled into her head so often from so many angles that it's right there. Feelings don't use logic, though. She smiles a bit anyway. "Miss Frost, if we go shopping again, I'm going to need a bigger place. My closets are full."

She's going to do her best to make sure the little date goes well. Not that there's anything big riding on it, but it's something she's never done before, and, well, Cindy's cute. And nice. And deeply funny.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile over, "Well.. Then I'm sorry to say I can't help much. Figuring out one's attire is one's own damnation. Perhpas best to go with something simple and grab the first thing you see. But ultimately tha'ts your decision. And I'ms orry but it's one's own personal hell to get into and figure it out."

Divine has posed:
"I'll figure something out. Casual but nice with my own flavor," she says, leaning back in her seat. She stares up at the ceiling, going quiet for a moment.

"You've helped me so, so much but, like, I feel like I've been in a holding pattern for a while. Nowhere to go, nowhere to -grow-. Now, though, in just these last two days, it feels like I'm going somewhere."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would lean in over and move to give a quick hug to Divine, "Thank you. THat means the world to me. What also means the world to me is that you're going nad doing things. You've not simply fallen back and stayed down the way many would in your position. And they're entirely justified in wanting to stay away from the world. What makes me so proud is that you're going out into it and moving to help people."

Divine has posed:
The clone returns the embrace. It's fierce, but not painful. She's gotten pretty good at managing her power output. She takes the praise and looks thoughtful for a moment.

"No one should ever have to feel the way I did. Abandoned Unwanted. Angry at the world because of things beyond their control. If I can help, I want to."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "And that's what makes you a good person. That despite everything you've been through, despite all the justification you have to be otherwise.. That you're wanting to make the world a better place and to make sure no one has to go through what you did."

Divine has posed:
"It's the right thing to do," Divine says with a nod. Firm in her conviction. "But that's a problem for later. Now I'm just going to fret about my date. That sounds more fun."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Yes. Unfortunately most dates come with fretting. There's not a lot I can offer you on that end. But it comes at the end with a lovely date and a person to appreciate all the more for your time."
