Cast of Characters: Veira Lazarescu, Jan de Wit

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
2023 had just started and the year was already flying by. Jan was ever popular with his dancing skills and had been booked into some small venues and then one bigger one, the Shadowbox was a pretty up and coming performing arts center and was doing good business. The end of shows had been met with applause and an outpouring of admiration from fans and other artists alike.

Veira had never been too far away at his performances, watching with her own admiration and pride of the man. Tonight she was dressed in a black velvet dress that had a streak of royal purple across the shoulder that draped over her shoulders like a true goth goddess.

She'd become amused at some of the fans, but she'd never been worried over any of them.

There was a small crowd that had gathered outside of Jan's dressing room this evening, Veira was down the hall just a bit to watch and speaking with one of the stage managers about something. Jan might have to get through the gauntlet, but no sharks were around.

Hopefully!

Jan de Wit has posed:
Coming down from the high he achieved while performing was always a ritual for Jan. He'd sip a glass of bourbon and soak in a hot shower to wash off the evening. Once done, it was time to re-dress and meet any fans. He performed for them, just as much as himself. Usually, there were no troubles - most of them wanted autographs or photos. It was part of the job, really.

Fresh, clean and belly warmed by scotch, he stepped out into the hallway outside his dressing room. Jan was all polite smiles and nods of greeting to those who'd gathered. Even so, he was looking for Veira, knowing she'd caught the performance. He didn't barge through the small gathering, instead greeting the people. Hands were shook, playbills were signed, photos were taken.

It was a good night!

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira was always conscious of the fans, she was the fiance, but she didn't need to be the first one at the door. Given her height it was hard for Jan to miss her anyways over the others that were around. There were a few nervous fans that thanked him as hands were shook, autographs were given and selfies were taken. There was one particular older woman that was dressed finely and was getting into her silver era.

She seems a little...irritated that people aren't getting out of the way. She's on the outskirts of the crowd just as Veira is approaching after excusing herself from her conversation with the stage manager. She was all smiles and tonight she was wearing her eyepatch instead of her false eye.

She waits quietly with a soft and warm smile on her face as she watches him finish up with autographs and things with his adoring fans. Her patience was endless.

Probably because she was Immortal.

Jan de Wit has posed:
He's got time for each of them, content to allow them to connect for those brief moments. How rare is it to meet someone you admire? Even more so, how rare is it that they don't pass you by after a cursory photo op? Veira is given a smile over the crowd, a wink as well. He knows she's patient - and he's blessed for that.

Still, he is making his way slowly towards her, and towards the less than pleased older woman.

The latter is given a smile and a nod as well. No need to be impolite for another waiting to meet and speak with him. Perhaps that attention will make her evening better?

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Miss Irritated sees Veira coming up to the group and moves to block her, even after seeing the smile that is given to her. Veira gives a bit of a look, but she chuckles and steps off to the side to allow Jan to spend time with his fans. She didn't mind one bit. A few others notice Veira and there are a few whispers about his fiance.

The woman gives a look to Jan and offers over her playbill to sign, "I'm your biggest fan, Mister de Wit." she tells him with a voice full of conviction. Maybe this might be one of those overly attached fans.

Her eyes do flick over to Veira when there are the whispers from a few others and the woman snorts at the news.

Jan de Wit has posed:
As a dancer, physical motion is often a cue to Jan. He takes note of the shifting and blocking from the irritated fan, not taking action on it. Yet. He is also patient, with his fans. He understands how it is to be attached to a favorite performer. It happens.

So long as it's not unhealthy, it is part of the show.

Jan gives the woman a charming smile, all too happy to sign the playbill. "I am quite flattered, miss." He nods. "Meeting those who appreciate our art, is a wonderful boost to dancers like me." A smirk.

He does try to capture the woman's attention, not wanting those grumpy looks cast towards Veira.

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira also notices the mood of the woman and gives her the space that she might desire. She is observant though, her time in SHIELD and with homeland hard to get over. She feels that there is something a bit off. There are a few other fans that feel that as well and start to trickle out to get from the crowd.

The woman in question is all but preening when he gives her the attention and not Veira. For now, he seems to have the womans full attention and she seems to keep her eyes on him, which might be the best thing. "Do you have any big plans for this year, Mister de Wit? We'd like to know what to expect this year and see if we can get a sneak peek." one of the other ladies asks.

Jan de Wit has posed:
Yep. Something a bit off. Jan will mention it to the stage crew and security in the future - perhaps a bit of an eye on this one. Still, his mask of politeness holds up when speaking with the fan. "I am hoping to get into a few more broadway productions - dance routines and all. Perhaps I can get lucky and brush up on my singing voice. If Hugh Jackman can do it, why not me?" He chuckles.

No mention of the engagement or upcoming nuptuals. No need to throw out that landmine for her to tap over. Likely, she'll find out soon enough when she reads the papers and tabloids.

He's continuing the signing, the smiling and the selfies. The life of a performer!

Veira gets the slightest nod - he is sure she noticed the slightly obsessed fan.

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira does notice the weirdness, but she doesn't Judo chop the woman. Sometimes fans were just...intense. She didn't know that either way. She waits until the crowd has died down and there are just a few people hanging around, "You always handle things so wonderfully." the Romanian tells him as she leans in to office his cheek a chaste kiss given the public nature of things.

Down the hallway there is a camera phone that snaps a photo, but neither of the two down the way notice it. Just another incident with overly attached fans.

Jan's biggest fan.
