Date of Scene: 03 February 2023
Location: Knowhere
Synopsis: Cosmo helps Franklin find something that isn't supposed to be there, and return it back from wince it came!
Cast of Characters: Cosmo, Franklin Richards

Cosmo has posed:
A commotion of angry growling could be heard eminating from a pile of trash in the street. The trash bins rumbled, and from their midst appeared a dog, doing what appeared to be very dog-like things. It was in a fierce match of tug-of-war with a very large, ugly creature that was definitely not a dog, it was some strange, purple looking alien. The two sent trash everywhere in the wake of their little battle, cans, bottles, and unidentifiable junk scattering halway down the street as they struggled.

The contrasting appearance of the two was somewhat unique, but it seemed like any other scene one would see in a city street. The strange thing wasn't frightening looking purple alien, it was the dog. The golden fur canine had on a tailored white space suit, and it was... talking?

"This is official police property. Unhand it!" the canine demanded in a small, Russian female's voice.

Apparently, that was all it took. The 'thing' they were fighting over was released, the purple creature left, and the dog turned happily around to skip away on its merry business. She paused only briefly to chomp on her acquired piece of police property, verifying that the little ragged toy still squeaked.

Franklin Richards has posed:
In the air a circle of black smoke appears, as there are little bolts of lightning comeing from inside that shoots aross though doesn't leave the portal, as a person appears to be falling backwards through said portal! Landing with a crash is Franklin Richards as he rolls back to into the alleyway where thankfully a moment ago was a bunch of trash though now is scattered. The young adult has a shirt on with the Four member Sue Richards, and his jeans are black, and blue with a four on the side. His shoes, even socks match the same logo as this rolls past the hole closing behind. Damian Waynes voice can be heard saying "So thats what its like" right before it fully closes just as quickly disapearing as it came.

Laying on the ground trying to get his senses he just looks up in the air, and chuckles, as that was interesting, so not earth check he thought to himself before deciding to sit up. If someone can sense energy this would be like a sun going off, mentally he has guards, but to everyone else he would look like a normal twenty-one year old human boy. Lifting a finger a small sun appears, and Franklin chuckles not noticing Cosmo as he said to himself.. "Well that still works."

The sun disapears as it had appeared, and with a strech he is starting to get up, "I love space." he adds a bit quieter though he is still right there, just facing the other way.

Cosmo has posed:
Soon the sun was blocked by a doghead shaped moon as Cosmo stood over the supine Franklin. The very wet squeaky toy leaked a small droplet of dog spit to fall on his forehead (or at least he could hope it was dog spit, who knows what that purple alien puts in its mouth!) "Ish thish new way of not going through cushtoms?" she asked in a muffled voice. There was no reason for the 'muffled' voice. The dog's mouth wasn't moving when she talked. Also...Knowhere had a customs?

She backed up to give Franklin enough room to stand and dropped the wet squeaky toy. "What is what like?" she asked more clearly.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin look at the dog... the talking dog. He looks at her quiet a moment lifting an eyebrow as he listens noting the russian outfit as that was actually earth like and so he might not be that far out this time, but then again. After just quietly looking at Cosmo he tilts his hand realizing the dogs mouth wasn't moving and it was english which for a russian dog in space the chances were not high. So it must be something mental, but for now it seemed to understand him so he stuck to english.

He then needs to start thinking about what exactly to say as it mentioned customs.. was this a space cop on top of everything. He smiles as you only get one chance at a first meeting and he can say he is anyone.. So he starts.. "I am sorry I do not know these customs, but I am just passing through." he smiled a bit "If I am here there is a job to be done, and now my friend you seem to be involved." he thinks about a name to go by he had his, or a nickname which he didn't like so he considered.

He decides to avoid the question for now as he looks back and forth, "Where are we anyway? This place does not look familer!"

Cosmo has posed:
Cosmo sniffed at him briefly and parroted the 'friend' designation. "Do not worry skinny human friend. I see nothing in your pockets. I also see no pockets" she said with a further, curious inspection of sniffing. "What job, and why is this Cosmo's job now?" she asked suspiciously, and gave the most suspicious look a dog could give, which was mostly just cute. Her fluffy, expressive face wasn't terribly intimidating unless she was growling or snapping at someone.

"This is Knowhere." she stated, leaving the necessary eerie silence mandatory for such an ominous name. She then started listing off many of the places nearby "Mantlo's bar is there, market is this way..." the list carried on and on with just about every shop, business, or trash heap in the vicinity, and had the potential of going on almost forever if he let her keep 'talking'.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiled as he is checked by snif as he swore the dog looked at him suspiciously though it made him smile, "My job is to balance to universe as we know it.." he points up out into space, "They send me out here, and expect me to troubleshoot till I fix it." As he looks around abit again, "You wouldn't happen to have a ship would you?" he asks as he starts floating up just a little off the ground, "And you seem to know this place better then I do. So I am hoping you can point it out."

He sighs a little bit, though he listens to the description of the place.. "Has there been anything different? Something not the way its supposed to be? A star maybe failing, or something like that?" he asks he looks up into the space above them. "Really it could be anything sight, sound, even a smell.." he tries to clearify as it was a wierd request, but it should be noticable.

Cosmo has posed:
Cosmo tilted her head. "Quill sent you, didn't he." her mystical voice having what almost sounded like a groan to it. "He lost his ship again, and he needs my rescue. Is that it?" The canine snorts, shakes, and sits back down before looking up at Franklin with a considerate look, or an annoyed look. It was hard to tell with those big brown eyes.

"I will help, but he must promise not to call me Lassie. Even if he is stuck in well." she demanded. "Lassie is not my name." she added for good measure. "Let us find a ship" the dog said, trotting off in what was hopefully the direction of the space yard. She continued rambling as she walked. "There is always strange things happening in knowhere. I once found this very curious smell behind a bar, and saw a substance I could not indentify. Noone could. I tried to eat it, but I didn't like it, so I tried to eat it again, but it was still not appetizing. I've buried it now for safe-keeping." she said in her grand story.

The canine quickly stopped in her tracks to ask "Would you like to see it?"

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin tilts his head, "Quill? No I do not know who that is I am sorry." he raises a hand and like a warm blanket the Tk comes over Cosmo as he turns to start floating away though as he does Cosmo would also start floating behind him. They float up until they can see further, and maybe a couple of aliens pointing at the floating pair though as she said strange things always happen here. "Well how bout this you tell me your name, and I will not call you Lassie." he does note as he ignores all the people below as if they don't exist.

As they pass the bar heading towards what should be the shipyard he looks down a bit and points, "No... I don't think that is it. But it could not hurt to check could you describe it? Please don't tell me it is back in the alley" and chuckles a bit thinking about the thing she was fighting over the toy with. Traveling as the bird flies it doesn't take them long to get to where they hand to land to walk through a entrance that had 'starport' over a torn up sign.

As the doors to the entrance open there are lots of ships waiting. Franklin looks over all of them then back to his new friend, "Do you know how to fly any of these?" he gives a small chuckle, "I am afraid I don't know how to fly a ship." he could learn, but that would take time. "I think if we can get in on I can tell us where to go." he then seems to stop and look back, "Are you even okay stealing a ship?"

Cosmo has posed:
"Peter Quill. Lord Star. He is human, just like you, but more annoying, and with a bad taste in music. Very funny joke. I know he sent you." she stated. The canine might have described more, or kept rambling, but being levitated seemed to put her off for a moment. Her ears fell back, and she let out a small growl, but otherwise the dog seemed calm about levetating. She didn't claw and scramble for the ground, or even look around in panic. Instead she seemed lost in thought.

Despite the light change in mood, she still answered cordially to the question with "Cosmo," her odd, russian accent still carrying on as she stated her name. "It is also by the space port." she muttered, in whatever way it was telephaths could mutter.

She shook herself off upon landing. There was also an obligitory scratch behind her ear to take care of "No. Cosmo does not like to fly ships." she claimed, adding "Stupid metal junk."

The idea of stealing a ship got a bark out of her and another light growl. "No stealing of ships on my watch Mr. Human. You know I am Chief of Security here." she wildly claimed, or at least it seemed wild. A dog chief of security? Perhaps she took her job of hunting down vermin too much to heart.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiles and nods looking at the Dog as he talks behind them all kinds of aliens walk, and most seem to be unfriendly. Franklin thinks about it "Sorry friend, but I do not know this Peter Quill, nor Lord star. Though I do doubt there is any other human out in space.. I mean.." He stops and looks around a bit before adding in "You do know where they are at space wise right?" as they maybe had a spaceport, and Nazi's on the moon, but Earth was no-where near this level.

"Wait your name is Cosmo? It's a little on the nose isn't it?" and chuckles giving the dog a grin. 'But how bout we check it out, and if it is what I think it is then I will Zap it!" and he makes a finger gun with his hand as that was all he needed. "Well Cosmo.. I am Franklin, it is a pleasre to meet you. And I would shake your hand.. Paw! But I don't want to be rude." and dsmiles thinking if he said shake would it work.

Franklin nods, "It is so slow to use these ships I don't know how people do it.. Flying Coffins you ask me." one of the aliens turn as he talks and says "Hey!" and Franklin smiles "Not yours of course." and turns keeping walking to get away from the now angry alien. He looks over at the dog, "I am jealous no-one can hear you" and smiles again with a shrug.

As she barks and light growls at him he holds up his hands, "Oh right your the law... I would never /steal/ anything officer. We were friends and I borrowed it." and smiles with a wink though he keeps walking. "Can I be honest... as your a dog in space who are you going to tell..." and smiles as using his mind he also sends a message (The only law I must follow is the Universe. They lead my way for the betterment of us all)

Cosmo has posed:
Cosmo concentrated for a long few moments. Her head tilted to the side, uncessarily raising one ear, as though that would help her determine just where Peter Quill night be. She eventually determined "Not here." in a very nonspecific answer.

"It is not just my nose. It is all of me" she answered quite literally to her name. "Don't zap the evidence." she warned quickly, but still sat up and lifted a paw in a formal greeting. "Shake" she demanded like a human commanding a dog to do the same... It was slightly disorienting to have the opposite.

"Coffin. Yes" she agreed simply. "Space, flight coffins. Terrible things, but some are more fast than others" she assured him, giving a late scan around the spaceport. "Borrowed, stolen. As dog chief of security, you should not tell me." she warned adimately.

Something about no-one else being to hear her prompted a sharp ich behind her ear. Her back paw whacked rather violently against the heavy collar at the apex of her white space-suit. A voice box in the thing sparked to life and changed several times, from a number of garbled alien sounding languages, to a deep, male Russian voice "ZDAT! DAH" eventually it parroted the same, accented female voice that had been in his head. "Dah. Is better, yes?" she asked, her gaze narrowing to the far corner of the space port. "You want to see thing I buried?" she asked hopefully, her wagging tail betraying her excitement.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin looks as the dog raises an ear as if listening for him, "Right, could I leave a message for this... Starlord?" he asks talking again, more curious then having anything in mind as if there was such a thing as a human in space he would be interested in making contact. He looks around with a sigh, while space was vast he had almost never ran into another human especially this far out. He wondered how he even would do such a thing, Franklin had Cosmic powers to bend reality. but for a normal human.. it sounded interesting.

With the nose comment he actually chuckles, and says "I will think of it.. I am sorry if it is not something your supposed to have I will have to zap it." he says calmly explaining. "You could say it got past customs, and I have to return it to the proper dimension it slipped out of." and nods not turning as this just seemed like an ordinary day for him

The seriousness breaks again as he chuckles again. "I have not taken anything fear not.. I have no need for it as I travel differently." he turns and looks, "See space is made out of reality, and if you bend it like this." he make a bending motion with his hand so the fingers touch the palm. "Voila one point leads to another Space is just a step away." he nods hoping she gets it.

"Humans have a expression of not looking a gifted horse in the mouth.. I wish to follow it so however you sound it is okay with me." and gives her a nod, "And yes... I need to see if you have stumbled onto something as I said earlier is not from here." he stops, looking at her,, "I thought that was in the spaceport as well? Please go ahead and show me what you found. Please."

Cosmo has posed:
"He is forgetful, and full of himself. Cosmo has left him many official messages with no answer, so it is best to tell him directly" she explained through the little, artificial russian voice in her collar. She sounded much as she had in his head, but with added direction and the quintessential crackles of a poorly maintained voice box.

"I am trusting you with evidence of ongoing investigation. No zaps." she insisted, but was skipping off in the general direction of her 'buried treasure' regardless. There was a bit of happy jumping from the canine, which would have fit great with a tictok about detective crime dogs being giddy about their craft.

"I see you travel differently, strange human boy, but know these things are not forever." she said in some odd, otherwordly advice, punctuating with: "One day, you will be stuck in piece of junk."

Cosmo was very soon standing over a disturbed patch of soil. It had all the same halmarks of a dog who had buried a bone and hastily filled the hole back in. She scraped dillgently with forepaws to uncover an odd, green amoeba looking thing that glowed and pulsed under the dirt. She even picked the thing up in her teeth, despite having described it as 'unappetizing' several times earlier. She dropped it at Franklin's feet, a puff cloud of dirt leaving its odd, pulsing body. "I do not like the taste" she stated, licking her lips. "Or smell" she added before looking up at Franklin expectantly, her brown tail wavily exciteldy back and forth. "What do you think?"

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiles, "Just tell him you have met another human.. That will be enough for me." then chuckles a bit, "Though he doesn't sound like a very good friend for a law officer like yourself" he looks at the dog and the collar. He wonders if Val could make something like it. He shakes his head, and thinks or give a dog the ability to use it. He did not think so, but she would surprise even him once in a while. "Have you been friends long?"

As Franklin watched them dig something up and smiled as she reminded him of a normal dogs so often and he had just met her. If this was what he thought it was as he felt the waves it was giving off even this far he was going to have to as he so vividly said zap it, but he likes Cosmo, and doesn't want to upset her. As she drops it he sighs, "Oh.. Yea that is it." he looks around a bit, but then back to Cosmo.. "Look I am supposed to just zap it, but..." he reaches into a pocket.

Inside of a sealed clear bag is a sandwitch and on it lettice, and bacon.. Though no chees. It was his lunch he had made, as he cooked for himself.

"Look let me trade you.. No hard feelings. It isn't a crime, that evidence is bad." he steps back a little as she drops it at his feet not wanting to acutally come in contact with it. She was eatting it, or at least trying to made him really glad she had no idea of the side effeects for the universe inside that little goo him zapping it would be returning it from wince it came.

"Please at least give me a way my friend." he looks down at Cosmo with a frown. "The longer it is here the worse it is, I don't know how I can convince you that this must be done. but it must be done."

Cosmo has posed:
Cosmo made a funny face for a dog. "He's seen humans." she insisted, and then thought. "But he will be told" she assured Franklin. "He is good human. We are not always friends, but now we are friends." she stated with some sense of confidence.

Her eyes locked on the clear bag of food. Her tongue flopped over her lips in a long, eager drag. "You can not bribe Cosmo" she warned, but cordially added. "But you should give this to me." with an eager tone. Her eyes were glued on the lunch, tail wagging just like any normal dog at the opportunity of a treat.

"Why do you wish to destroy evidence? Are you culprit of bad tasting thing?" she asked. Somehow it sounded as though she wasn't terribly serious about the accusation, despite her plain, dog-eyed stare and the bland russian voice in her collar. A Russian dog with sarcasm, that was new!

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin nods, "Ah perhaps they are not as rare as I thought they were, but thank you for telling him even if your only friends for now." and he smiles down at the dog with a chuckle. He looks at the dog, and wonders what this other human did to fall out of friendship with a talking dog, but that was for a different discussion as for now he was more concerned with getting this piece of 'evidence' back to where it belonged.

As he thought this he looked at her, and sighed a bit as he could not arguee with Cosmo, as she had his weakness down as he was a dog person. Opening the bag he pulls out half, and offers it to her as he isn't sure how the dog would hold it, but didn't want to toss good food on the ground in some kind of assumption. "Here it is yours... Either way." he nods to it as he knew there was nothing in it that would hurt a dog so she should be fine eating it. He smiled as he holds it out. "Here.. Take it, it is all yours."

As he is crouched he looks at the thing near his feet and pauses. "Consider me an officer of the Cosmic." he tries to explain, "What you call evidence has already been filed as that is how I knew it was here.. somewhere." As space is vast if they had no idea they could be searching forever. "The cosmic powers that be have told me to remove it, and here I am.." he sighs a bit, "Normally I would not of contacted anyone else just popping in and doing my task before disapearing again. But.. here we are." he nods to the evidence which he still has not touched by him. "If your the police then imagine me as the special forces... The people they call in when the job is too big for people like yourself. We are on the same side here is all I am trying to explain.. So will you let me return it back to wince it came?"

Cosmo has posed:
Perched up on back paws to take the bag carefully in her teeth. "Cosmo thanks you for kindly gesture" she said, her voice somewhat muffled, as though there were a bag in her mouth keeping her from forming words properly. It was an odd detail she added, considering a telephathic collar should work flawlessly, even with a mouth full of hotdogs, but it was a performance detail she felt like adding.

Cosmo gave the bag a sniff, nudged it with her nose, and then proceeded to bury it in the empty hole where her 'police evidence' was earlier buried. "It will be safe here." she assured him. A fridge was probably more appropriate, but holes were far more easily accessable to a canine.

"You are CIA?" she asked, tilting her head. There's something funny about asking being asked that particular question in a heavy Russian accent. "Cosmo disagrees. Thinks there is need for further investigation. Where it is from, who put it here, is it explosive."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin watches the dog eat and smiles as she really wolfs it down, and chuckles. "Hungry aren't you! Well I hope you like it." he puts the other half away for now as it was his lunch for later, and to be fair he didn't know how long he was going to be here. He nods, as she then puts it in the hole because of course she did as she was a dog after all. He will say nothing but nod to her when she says it is safe. "Of course it is, I am glad you like it though I usually make that and sugar cookies, but most just don't enjoy it like you do."

He chuckles, "CIA, I like that, but yes though there is not a name for it." he shrugs a bit, "But yes, in this example I would be." he shrugs a bit looking at it. "How about this.. No it isn't explosive, and you put it there, though it got here by slipping through a weak spot in the lines between its dimension and ours." he shrugs and points at the piece. "And if I were to leave it the border would weaken more, and bigger things would slip through.

"He stops, and looks back at her. "If you have any further questions I will be happy to explain, but it needs to go. I am afraid though if I don't send it back Nowhere itself could eventually be pulled out of this reality as the lines become weaker. So please.. it is time to let it go my friend."

Cosmo has posed:
Cosmo gives a dog like whine, pacing briefly around the green glowing blob. She sat and briefly at her ear, as though pushing her brain into a think mode. "You are very insistant on zapping my new find, but you seem like honest man." she ranted briefly before sitting up. "Very well." she finally decided. "Zap away CIA/non CIA comrade."

"It was most interesting investigation this month. Better than bar fight or stolen leg." she stated with some sense of pride, and perhaps a light hint of sadness to let her 'expert investigation' come to an end. "But it is small thing. It is not worth resources to keep up." she rationalized.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiles, and waves a hand over the item as he is given permission. The item weaves as is wobbling in reality before it shrinks in and with a pop it goes away. Franklin looks up at him, and dusts his hands off. "And done... that is it." with a chuckle he looks over at Cosmo.. "See that is how easy it is." he stops and considers, "Actually I have been thinking about it, maybe you shouldn't tell your friend about me." he turns to look up at Cosmo, "It might be best to not tell anyone."

He stands up and looks down "Dangerous people might come if you talk about it too much." he gives her a wink. "I am sure we will run into each other again, but though it is a small thing I will remember your cooperation today." he considers though can't really give her a number to call as he had nothing that would catch a message sent from this far out.

Cosmo has posed:
Cosmo gave Franklin an odd look. Brown eyes staring deeply at him in that sort of puppy dog stare that melted hearts. "You do not wish the Lord of Stars to know your name?" she asked with mild surprise. "This is fair. He knows few things. He does not need to know of CIA agent Franklin." she decided. "Are you afraid of Peter Quill?" she asked curiously. She seemed to know Franklin didn't know the name before she'd brought it up, but still felt pressed to ask the question.

"Investigations are not told to public. You will not hear from this again, unless you are hiding things. Which you are not." the telepath determined. Despite her statement, it wasn't purely blind trust. The telepathic dog could mildly find lies and intent with a simple blink. She was also mildly arrogant, in the fact there weren't many telepahts in the galaxy, so she expected her 'hunch' to be true.

"Franklin cooperation with the Knowhere Security is noted." she added. "He is welcome here." she cordially added with a happy tail-wag. The tail-wagging gesture mostly disarmed Cosmo as being a full fledged 'security cheif', as she'd claimed. It made her look more like a regular, run-of-the-mill dog.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiles, and shakes his head, he has to look away though or he would kidnap Cosmo right now, to heck with the rules of reality! "No.. I am not afraid of Peter Quill, more about who Peter will tell." stay strong keep looking away, "Thank you, for not telling anyone as I am more worried what would happen if you tossed my name around then of anyone you know." he shrugs as he knew there was a giant crime section around Space, not to mention Empires which he did not want their leaders to know his location.

Then he smiles anbout the investigation and he peeks, he can't help it he peeks and doesn't want to look away from the puppy eyes. "My friend I can't tell you how I knwow, but I for sure know we will see each other again." he grins a bit continuing, "And when it does happen I will not be alone, though you will need us." giving her a bit more information then he would give others the eyes ... he can't fight it.

With a sigh he nods to her "Thank you Cosmo until next time. Watch yourself out there okay? The law is a very dangerous practice." and he waves turning as a black circular cloud apears floating just above the ground the pitch black lightning striking can be seen inside of it. "Looks like my ride is here.. Be a good girl!" and steps through the portal where you could swear you smell hotdogs and people though as the portal closes the smells go away as well. Franklin has left, and returned who knows where, though prob Earth.

Cosmo has posed:
"Peter will tell everyone. The human is always talking!" she complained, almost with a groan (if dogs could groan). "He never stops talking" she added unecessarily.

Her tail flapped back and forth at being called a 'good girl' It was an instinctive thing that the poor creature couldn't stop herself from doing. "Yes, it is" she agreed about the law. It wasn't until he was near his portal that she finally took in all of his words and asked "Us?" it was far too late, however. "Who is us?" she asked at the vanishing portal, giving it a 'huff' before turning to go about her business.
