Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
The hangout ended up being longer than expected.

The sun was starting to shine through the curtains of Marie's little apartment. The proverbial rooster was crowing. Marie was generally an early riser, and with it being a Tuesday morning, today was no different.

What was different, though, was that she was making no effort to get out of bed. Letting groggy green eyes open slowly and adjust to the light. Trying not to make too much noise, or shift around too much. Just enjoying the moment and trying to make it last as long as she can before the responsibilities of the day come to call.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
It takes a moment for Mary to fully realize where exactly she is. She feels the warmth of the sun on her face, which is a little bit different than her apartment with a tiny window that faces west. So either she slept in a really long time, or she is...

This is definitely not her bad. It is far too soft and comfy. And then she realizes she is not alone, and the prior evening comes back into focus.

Not that that was a bad thing. Not by a long shot.

She turns slowly to peer over at Marie-Ange to see if she is awake as well, and seeing no real sign of motion, just settles into watching her for a moment.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie can't help but notice the slight motion, turning to face the other girl. Lips curving into a slow, smitten smile.

"Bonjour, mon chere." the French girl speaks, voice... laced with contentment as much as her accent. "Did you rest well?" A pause. "... I am glad you are still here." She didn't entirely know what she'd find. How they would feel. Just what she hoped, and she knows for a fact that at least she was right in those hopes.

Still, there's subtle differences. Marie's more relaxed than normal. She doesn't even try to avoid eye contact. Frankly, she's in her comfort zone.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
"Where else would I be?" asks Mary as she turns her gaze fully towards Marie-Ange's eyes, her own a bit lidded. "It's not like I could fly out of here to escape." She could, technically, but the peripheral damage of the lightning bolt would be unkind.

She issues a warm smile to the other. "I rested very well, thank you. How about you?"

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"You could," Marie reminds the other girl, teasing gently. "But I'm glad you didn't. I would be sad... this. This is much better."

The lightning would be hard to explain. She'd lie, but she's bad at it and telepathy would make it harder. Letting out a happy sigh, she smiles. "Better than I have in years."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
There is a slow nod from Mary. "I try to avoid doing it indoors. Too much mess." She grins at the other girl. "But yeah, I wouldn't leave for other reasons."

There is another kindof shy smile from Mary. "Well. I'm glad to hear that. Not sure that I had anything to do with it, but I'll take all the credit you care to give me."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"And I just cleaned yesterday!" Marie responds with a laugh, leaning forward to give Mary a quick peck on the tip of her nose. Playful. Happy. Her life is going in the right direction. It almost seems too good to be true... but Mary's presence here is proof that it is.

"You had plenty to do with it." Marie winks, letting out a brief stream of giggles. "But... I think it is being with you in general. You came back into into my life when I needed you most, chere... and made me realize my feelings had never changed." A bright smile, here. "Je t'aime, Mary." she offers, looking a little expectantly at the other girl. Hoping she feels the same.
