Synopsis:	After a run in with the new intergang and engaging in a aerial battle with suits that use stolen Stark and Lex Tech the Hawk family emerges victorious.

Shayera Thal has posed:
For those monitoring MPD frequencies a notable disturbance has shown up. Intergang a known high tech gang that has been known for using alien technology or stole Stark or Lex Tech to commit high tech crime has decided to strike the Metropolis First bank. The doors of the bang are blown out and five people wearing power suits come out with packs loaded with money. The police are still on a intercept course but with these suits they can move and respond with great leaps and bounce. As they file out the large jetpacks on them flare to life and propel the people skyward. They pause in the air then redirect their weight and shoot over the building as two police helicopters give chase to the powered suits.

Kendra Saunders has posed:
Kendra Saunders is monitoring the local PD frequencies and happens to be cruising over the city tonight. Bank... power suits... high tech job. She knows the location, or close enough, and accelerates as she acknowledges the call.

"This is Hawkgirl, I'm en route to the bank. E.T.A. less than 2 minutes." Wings fold back into a delta position as she accelerates, angling over in the direction of the bank.

Hawkman was searching the internet, and the Absorbascon for news of thee mysterious hawk people or whom he heard rumors. Hence he was in Metropolis when this was going down. His keen eyes easily spot the rocketing robbers. "They're birds, they're planes! They're... crooks and not from a distant planet. Well this was a good way to meet new heroes. He puts his wings into it and quickly catches up to the police copters, waving as he goes by.

Shayera Thal has posed:
The Tech Gangers fly in one of those 'V' formations, the agile and nimble armors VTOL packs speeding them along quickly. Now they could quickly out pace the police helicopters but suit A and B turn quickly and engage the hover, one brings up a large calibur machinegun and opens fire on one of the helicopters, the bullets rake the police helicopter then damage it enough that it starts to go into the death spin. Someone better save them? Once A and B have fired they execute a perfect roll and then jet along to catch up with the crew.

Meanwhile someone else happens to be on patrol. Shayera Thal is in full regalia on this patrol, so the advanced wing suit is on, nth metal wings and anti gravity belt is helping him move near super sonic speeds. She could go faster but sonic booms shatter windows and she doesn't want to do damage. She shoots down after the intergang members.

Over Kendra's com a female voice chirps <<Hey deal with the copper I am going to deal with the crooks.>> It is a pretty good idea that that came from the other winged woman shooting after them.

Kendra Saunders has posed:
Kendra arrives on-scene just in time to watch the helicopter get hit. <<Copy that. Save a couple for me.>> she quips back. Kendra isn't fully armored tonight, but she's wearing her helmet with all its tech. And for variety there's an Nth metal sword at her side, with a wide hilt and a four foot blade.

Kendra does a wing-over into a power dive, so she can get under the chopper. The tail sweeps past her and she ducks, catching it on the next pass. She can't keep it from going down but at least it'll be a controlled landing.

Hawkman sees the incoming female missile beat him easily to the copter. He fixes his gaze on the thug with the machine gun and says, "Oh Hell no!" Not that he can be heard. A beat of his wings send him at the man and then the wings fold around him, making him a sort of bulletproof battering ram. He hopes. He never took out a machine gunner before. Quick prayer the Fates if any.

Shayera Thal has posed:
Robber A and B look over and notice two winged people following them the down side of these suits is that they are light and agile, not really the bruisers and can only use man portable weapons. The one Hawk Man is tailing speeds and turns and starts to fire the machinegun, the bullets tinktinktinktink off the nth metal wings and he slams into the suit and it begins to spiral through the air and then slam into the side of a building. This group, therefore referred to as A has lost his gun, but he does have something else. Clenching the armored fist a armblade shoots out and he then shoots out and attempts to stab him with the blade.

Hawk Girl finds herself barely able to control the chopper but then at the last second she gets it to level and then start to descend in a control pace and touch down with a heavy THUNK. The two pilots breath a sigh of relief and wave their thanks to Hawl Girl and one yells. "GO GET EM FOR US!" In a standard Brooklyn accent.

As For Hawk Woman B turns his gun on her and opens fire, one of her wings comes out and shields her from the bullets while she lets gravity carry her downwards. She then pulls her wing back at the last second and grips the war mace and brings it around and hits the turbine on the suit. As she passes the nth metal wings lash out and slice at the machinegun and cut the barrel and disable it. With his suit damage he cartwheels through the air and lands on a car below..

Kendra Saunders has posed:
Kendra Saunders strains to keep the copter under control until it sets down heavily. Flashing the pilots a grin and a salute, she draws her sword and launches into the air. With Robbers A and B both occupied, she scans the skies for the rest of the formation to give chase.

There they are! Three more power suits in a V formation. Kendra accelerates, banking towards the one on the right side to spear his pack with the point of her sword.

Joseph Gardner has posed:
Hawkman draws his mace. He flies in attempting to pull up short and trick the man into taking a swipe and then lunging in close. His aims his m ace to prod the guy in the solar plexus. He really doesn't want to break ribs or hospitalize the man. But right behind is a padded knee. Misdirection.

Shayera Thal has posed:
The one that Kendra targets, C., sensor pings her approach and the tech gang knows they aren't going to get away unmolested. Still she is a ways away and they have time. The turn midair and then stop to do some power ranger style action pose with their suits firing off little explosive pyrotechniques...Yes they do this. And then assume a attack pattern.

SAMAS C left arm has a cylinder pop out and then a shield of shimmering energy appears and in his other hand a beam saber, not light saber don't sue me, ignites as he brings the shield up and deflects the spear then swings his humming blade of energy at her.

D and E Deposit the loot on a nearby roof top and D. reaches around and then takes out a mother fucking minigun, thing about miniguns and this is lucky is they take time to spin up before they start spewing death at people. So the dangerous whir of the barrel spinning up is the warning Kendra gets.

Suit A is committed to his attafck so when the misdirection is pulled he falls for it and then is thrown off his aerial balance as the suit pin wheels through the air and then slams through the glass of a office building. He groans and his HUD flaring with damage reports to his suit. And rises up before the hip of the suit opens up and ejects a pistol into his hand. He raises it up and takes aim at Hawk Man and squeezes off a few rounds.

Suit E, the leader, reaches around and expands what looks like a laser rifle and begins to sight the approaching Hawk Woman and fires at her.

As for Hawk Woman she dives and weaves through the air as she closes. Her aerial moves costing her speed as the anti gravity and her natural wing propel her along as she weaves through the laser fire and then tucks her wings for the hawk death dive. She raises her mace aloft and that is the time the leader needs to squeeze off a shot. The laser makes its way through the air towards her. Thankfully true blooded thangarian have reaction speed equal to the raptors that they emulate and her nth metal wings wheel around and block the shot, but it throws her aerial agility off and causes her to tumble into a dive.

Kendra Saunders has posed:
Kendra Saunders knows a thing or two about fighting with swords, and she's also got a LOT more hours of flight time in than SAMAS C. The energy blade hisses when it blocks the Nth metal sword, but Kendra is already using the momentum of the block to angle a counter-attack. Unlike most swordsmen, she isn't making this merely a two-dimensional fight. And unlike most fliers, she doesn't actually need her wings to flap for propulsion.

Blades clash, then she drops to swing at his feet, only to pop up again behind him. They may have power suits, but the Hawks are still faster. She seems to be everywhere.

And that's when Kendra hears the tell-tale whirring of the minigun spinning up to speed. She'll time it, and when the pitch settles to a steady whine she'll dart around like a hummingbird to put SAMAS C -between- herself and the shooter.

Hawkman lets out a cry of annoyance. Another weapon? "This is like disarming Latveria,' he says. What he gets for going easy. He shields himself with his right wing and attempts to buffet the man with his other wing, maybe sending him through the cracked glass and into the building.

Hawkman hears the whine and directs the Absorbascon link to identify the sound.

Crap.

Maybe he should pack a fucking gun? Closing to bash things has its limits.

Shayera Thal has posed:
The sound of a sheet of paper tearing, this is actually what a minigun sounds like, sounds out as a controlled burst of bullets spew from the barrel. The gunfire rakes the back of SAMAS C and it damages one of the VTOL turbines cause a small micro explosion that sends the suit from the air towards the ground. It lands with a crash and then skids along the ground kicking up pavement as its armored form comes to a stop with a dump truck. The suit slowly stands up and then decides to cut its loses and begin to hobble away.

SAMAS D is getting ready for another burst when Hawk Woman shoots up with his Nth metal wings flashing out and cutting the barrel of the minigun causing the ammo to cook off inside of it and a explosion in the ammo box causes it to blow off part of the armor revealing the padder suit beneath the armor. The leader lookis at him and motions to the loot and points away. Suit D grabs the two duffles of loot and then takes off as fast as the suit can carry him.

Suit E readjusts his laser rifle and starts to fire at Hawk Woman as she starts to dip and dive through the air <<Take him out Hawl Girl, he is focused on me.>>

The guy with eagle fires and then click click click. He looks at his empty gun and then you can almost hear the 'ah fuck it' and throws the gun at Hawk Man before he is buffeted against the building and with a few swipes of the wing the suit locks up. You can tell he is trying to move but it has taken to much damage and so it goes rigid and locks him in a metal tomb. You do not want to hear the language going on in that suit.

<<Got him>> Kendra replies, as SAMAS D goes down. Hovering, she swings her sword up into position and swoops up to attack Suit E, coming up from beneath him as he focuses on the -other- female Hawk.

An upward flash of the blade is aimed at the laser rifle, and she is already using the follow-through to angle a sweeping cut around towards the former shooter's flight pack. <<Looks like we've got a runner, too.>> she declares, catching sight of Suit D grabbing the duffles.

Hawkman learns why superheroes being filmed shrug off bullets, yet duck the empty gun thrown at their heads. It'll mess your hair or in his case ding his helmet. He does indeed duck. He likes that helmet! Then he heads after Samas D, wondering where that mini gun went? He gives a strong beat of his wings and is after the runner/flyer. "Tenacious at least. They earn their pay... apart from actually stealing it." he attempts to dive down on the runner, slamming him onto a rooftop. The suits seem to block a lot of damage despite appearances.

Shayera Thal has posed:
Suit E's laser rifle is cut in twain. The explosion of the beam weapon catches them off guard long enough for the blade cut the left turbine causing it to explode. The suit however still is functional if damage. It doubles up its first and is about to bring it down on Hawk Girl. However now that Hawk Woman is no longer having to dodge she uses those wings to propel her downwards and smash it over the head of suit E causing the helmet crack. The pilot stumbles and then falls over with the suit sparking from the electircal pulses that cause havok on the electricals, apparently it is not shielded.

As for our runner, well Hawk Man is faster by far and far more agile in the air so when death from above comes for him, he is slammed into the roof with a crash. The sudden jolt causing servo and motors to lock up and freeze in place. The fight is over.

Hawk Woman lands not far from Hawk Girl and notes Hawk Man's clean up and signals over comm. <<Good Job.>> She then reaches up and remove the Hawk Helm and then shakes out her hair and then looks at Kendra. "Thanks for the assist.." She does look at her quizzically. "You...You are thangarian?

Kendra Saunders has posed:
Kendra Saunders makes a visual sweep as well, then she settles before sheathing the sword. The redhead removes her helm, so Kendra does as well. She shakes her head, but the dark hair requires little in the way of 'shaking out'.

"Assist? I was going to say the same thing." she replies, with a wry smile. "And no, I'm not Thanagarian. Technically speaking, I'm American. But my memories go back to Ancient Egypt." She considers for a moment, then adds. "It's something of a long story. I'm Kendra."

Joseph Gardner has posed:
Hawkman pokes the downed thug. "Well don't let this discourage you. Flying is statistically the safest form... of... travel..." OK. Hawk dies' helmet reveal and hair shake kind of side tracks him a moment. He gives the thug another poke to be sure the armor is locked and then drops down to the street. He hangs the mace at his belt and waves as he approaches. "Well this is fated... or awkward. I'll keep my helmet, no offense intended. Some of us have secret identities. Uhm... wow."

Shayera Thal has posed:
There is a bit of a pause as she recalls Hawk Man telling a similar origin. "I see..." She holds her helm in the crook of her arm before she looks at Hawk Man and then nods her head to the man. "Hawk Man....It is good to see you again." She hits hawk emblem on her belt and the nth metal wings retract and reveal the delicate hawk like wings underneath them before beating them and then flexing them before letting them return to their neutral position. "Its is like fate almost all three showing up to the same robbery.." There is a awkward silence before she asks. "Want to get a cup of coffee or something, I've got question and I'm sure so do you two.." After all she is surprised to see more people using Thangarian technology.

Kendra Saunders has posed:
Kendra Saunders's wings have nowhere to retract, so she just folds them up like... well... a hawk, against her back. "A lot of questions, indeed." she agrees, looking from one to the other. Kendra tilts her head quite curiously as she looks at the still-masked Hawkman. Apparently her questions can wait. "We'll attract a bit of attention in a coffee shop, but that's never stopped me before."

Shayera Thal has posed:
Well Shayera's identity is kind of public, when you invade a planet you kind of can throw that out the window. Not many people with wi---Oh yeah. She then pauses for a moment as she looks around. The cops are already starting to engage in clean up now that it is safe. "Well I usually don't worry about it.

Joseph Gardner has posed:
Hawkman nods the Shayera. "Good to see you again. Hello Kendra, it's nice to meet you. I'm just Hawkman for now. I'm glad I was able to help out." Hawkman looks around, "He can always get the coffee to go and... perch somewhere and talk. That building looks good."
