Synopsis: Set December 15th, 2022 - The aftermath of the UNOOSA attack leads to Toni and Cecily becoming fast friends, bonding over breakfast and painkillers.
Cast of Characters: Cecily Winters, Toni Ho

Cecily Winters has posed:
Still mid-December. The cold has begun to set in and there's Christmas decorations everywhere. Except here. The morning after the attack on the UNOOSA meeting is far, far quieter than the besieged board room was not terribly many hours ago. Though while the attack sent ripples across the international community, life simply went on for others. And one of those others is Cecily, having brought a guest home after the rather impromptu 'surprise party'.

The warehouse loft is a wide expanse of space. Half workshop, half home. Tall walls stretch to the steel ceiling rafters but remain open past that. The sound of kitchen appliances can be heard as well as the scent of tea can be sensed. The fox-woman's guest, of course, had likely been tucked into bed to sleep off whatever hangover she might've acquired after the day before.

Toni Ho has posed:
Don't tell anyone, but Toni isn't old enough to drink yet. That SHIELD ID goes pretty far though. No one asks questions too often. She likes it that way.

The smell of tea and the sounds of things running make her stir with a groan, clutching a hand to her head. Her eyes open and she blinks. She has ... no idea where she is. She sits up, the blankets falling away and, well, at least she's decent in an oversized t-shirt that isn't hers.

She slips out of the bed and pads through the loft, following the sounds, and smells, that lead her towards the kitchen area.

Cecily Winters has posed:
It's not hard to navigate, thankfully. The bedroom area only has a single real exit way, aside from the sizable bathroom. It leads to what's less of a hall and more of a wide space for a living room with a dining room attached. There's a heavy-looking door attached to a cetral-looking wall that goes all the way up and has at least three different equally-solid locks on it. But the noises are coming from what must be the kitchen.

Within it, Toni finds Cecily. The fox-woman's tails are impossible to miss, fanned out behind her and waving. Just an underwear-clad rear and her upper half is a mixture of bandages and a tank top. "Morning, dear," she says, hearing the faint shuffling of feet with her sharp vulpine ears. "...tea's steeping, there's a tall glass of water on the table. Effervescent tablets and ibuprofen if you need them..." she says, smiling over her shoulder at Toni.

"Hell of a day yesterday, mmm?"

Toni Ho has posed:
It appears that the pink haired engineer is old hat at this kind of thing. She shuffles to the water, drops the tablets in and waits a moment. She then scoops up four asprin, throws them in her mouth and chases it with the fizzy stuff. She fights throughit, downing the whole glass at once and sets it back down with a thud and a groan. She looks at Cecily, doing her best not to look too hard and grunts affirmatively.

"You can say that again. I must have passed out from all that stuff. I'm not used to that."

Cecily Winters has posed:
"It was a rather dramatic day," Cecily says quietly. "I hope you don't mind, but since I don't know exactly where you live, I took the liberty of carrying you home. You were rather exhausted," the fox states. Then she returns to the table, carrying a pair of large mugs full of a dark, steaming liquid. "Black tea. If you prefer coffee, I can make some, but this is my go-to for morning caffiene."

There's a warm, if lopsided smile on the vixen, and despite her clear injuries--bloody bandages and all--she seems to be no worse for the wear. And in fact, her demeanor seems different. Less the cold, precision-operating professional and more... just a normal lady.

Toni Ho has posed:
Dramatic doesn't even begin to describe it. It was all chaos and violence and terror and just overwhelming. Which would explain why she lost consciousness sometime between the terrible end of that meeting and now.

"Oh, uh, I have a suite at the Trisk," Toni says. "Thanks for watching over me. That...doesn't usually happen to me." A pause. "And tea is fine."

Her attention focuses on the bandaged wounds with a frown. "Are you...okay? That's a lot of bandages."

Cecily Winters has posed:
"Usually doesn't happen to you?" Cecily asks, brow lifting and ears joining. She collects a bottle of french vanilla creamer from the fridge, too, and adds some to her tea. The fox leaves it out for Toni, also, if she wants. As she follows that gaze to her body, though, she gingerly lifts a shoulder with a small shrug.

"...last time I worked with SHIELD, I just about lost my leg to some kind of anti-matter cannon or something... Could've been my entire lower half if I hadn't moved. I think the helicarrier survived though. I was in bed for a week..." she laughs bitterly. "...I regenerate, though."

She pulls a little at the bandages, "...just shrapnel and burns. Already threw the clothes out. I go through more tops and vests than I do ammunition..." there's a less sardonic chuckle this time around. "...how are you though?"

Toni Ho has posed:
Toni Ho is a monster who adds nothing to her tea, sipping it straight black, savoring the heat and the bitter sting of it. Her eyes widen a bit at the anectode of the anti matter cannon. And the regenerating. "That's, uh. ... Damn." What else can you say to that? She hasn't really met too many people with powers like that.

"I'm alright. A little tired, a little sore, but I feel okay." She pauses. "Thanks for loaning me the shirt to sleep in. Having slept in that suit before, it's not great. The tights get all tangled up. It's uncomfortable."

Cecily Winters has posed:
Some might consider Cecily a monster for not only adding 'coffee creamer' to her tea, but *flavored* coffee creamer. The warm sweetness is just so good though, and it skips the combined steps of plain old sugar and cream. Yep, the fox is a monster. A really, really pretty one. "...my powers of regeneration aren't as dramatic as some of the others I've seen and heard about... and.. well, I can't exactly stop a tank round in the face like some others I've seen... so I just have to deal with it..." she grunts.

Then she looks Toni over, giving her an appraising eye and a gentle smile. "Hey.. you're welcome. And, yeah. I've... crashed out in the work outfit more times than I care to admit and it... doesn't feel good in the morning..." she sighs. "...but... you're my guest, so. Let me be a good hostess. Contrary to what you might thing, I don't exactly carry pretty girls back to my place on the regular... I live alone, really. And do half of my work out of my home. So do you like waffles?"

Toni Ho has posed:
Toni can feel the appraising look, and she blushes. She doesn't judge the tea accompaniments though. She drinks Red Bull and Monster like they're water, so she has no room to judge.

"You've gone above and beyond. Really. I'm honestly surprised I didn't wake up in medical at the Trisk with paperwork and a reprimand to deal with." She pauses. "I do love waffles."

Cecily Winters has posed:
Cecily can't help but laugh at that, "...I think I got you out of there pretty fast. Made some excuses for you. You were pretty insensate after all of that..." the fox smiles. "I'll vouch for you when we get you back home, also. Promise." She winks and takes a long drink of her augmented tea before turning back to the countertop. "...waffles... whipped cream and strawberries? You strike me as someone that likes a -lot- of cream..." she muses. "I've got maple otherwise though..."

Then she turns to the fridge, getting out what she needs. "...mmm.... eggs? Bacon? Sausage? I picked up some really big ones... some thick keilbasa, goes really great with eggs..." she smiles over her shoulder, rear and tails waving slowly. "I haven't eaten since yesterday, either, so I might just be projecting."

Toni Ho has posed:
Sitting there listening, Toni's stomach growls fiercely. "I guess, uh, I haven't either," she says, looking embarassed. "I'll eat whatever you put in front of me." She pauses again. "And whipped cream on waffles is -awesome-."

She at least manages not to make a bad sausage joke. "I have this feeling that you're going to cook too much food, we're going to gorge and then pass out again. ... Could be worse."

Cecily Winters has posed:
"What day is it, Thursday? I don't have anything going on until clear into next week..." Cecily muses. "...so if you're not too worried about tomorrow..." she leans into the fridge before pulling out a carton of eggs and a big horseshoe-loop of keilbasa. Then some milk, too, for the batter.

"We'll just have a nice big breakfast and... sleep off the rest of yesterday..." she sighs and leans against the countertop. "...just let me know if you need to go anywhere or making any calls... okay, love?"
