Taking Aim - Stringing the bow
Date of Scene: 20 February 2023
Location: Library
Synopsis: Cap and Roberto discuss the plan to assauly AIM while Gabby gets some merch signed, Jamie people watches, Rogue fails to use the dewey decimal system and Marie assumes she's about to be arrested.
Cast of Characters: Steve Rogers, Roberto da Costa, Rogue, Jamie Madrox, Marie-Ange Colbert, Gabby Kinney

Steve Rogers has posed:
With the breaking news following the rescue of Pete Ross, the Undersecretary of Defense, and the revelations about the Secretary of Defense Alexander Pierce's role in Hydra, things have been rather hectic around the Avengers. But Steve took the time for a drive on his motorcycle up to Westchester for a round of consultations with Professor Xavier.

Now Steve is in the library, taking a few quiet moments to look over some information that the Professor had for him as well. More details on the rescue of President Luthor by the X-men, as well as some surveillance done with Cerebro. Though nothing that looks like it is game changing as Steve goes through it.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa does not usually spend an abundance of time in the school's library, I mean most of this material is available online in one form or other and he has quite nice library's in several of his family's houses. While this library is better curated than any of those others, it's areas of expertise do not run to Berto's interests in most areas so if he is here it is for a specific reason, and sometimes that reason is not even a book but a person. He passes the library door on his way to the Professor's office and then has to backtrack when he spots his quarry in the room, "Oh, uh, Captain, you finished with the Professor already?" He walks up, impecabbly dressed as always, dark suit, crisp white shirt, no tie, it is the weekend. There's a tablet tucked under his arm.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue was planning her classes for the week, and needed a few books from the library. She rarely comes in to this part of the school, but when she does it's usually with great purpose.

Dressed in a black zip-hoodie, zipped up to her chest, a pair of blue jeans and some black shin-high boots, the Belle strides in to the library on the first floor of the two story tall room. She doesn't notice anyone in here, and just steps over to one of the many shelves to run her eyes over the spines of the books, one hand holding her phone, she glances down at it to remind herself of the titles she was looking for...

Jamie Madrox has posed:
Unlike the others for whom the library is an oft-unused locale, there is a Jamie positioned in the library. He is an oddly literature inclined Jamie, and so his job has been to slowly go through and read every book in the library, for future consolidation into the rest of the Jamies. Sometimes he smacks himself into the wall if he wants a little bit of company, or if he wants to pull in a bunch of books at once. But for the most part, Librarian Jamie is just a presence who is mostly quiet and does not bother much of anyone.

Today, though, he shifts in his seat as the Steve Rogers comes in. It is not often that anyone of his status comes to visit the Mansion, and so the book is placed down and a study is made of the ancient hero.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
The library is a pretty common destination for one Marie-Ange Colbert. Resident of the Mansion, college student at the school... and generally a quiet person overall, it makes perfect sense for why she made the room one of her usual destinations. What she didn't expect, however, was to see the Sentinel of Liberty himself there.

Green eyes went wide. Did she do something wrong during that high-speed chase? She's pretty sure she saw Captain America's shield flying around in that mess. Her already pale skin lightens a shade or two at the thought.

Of course, she's not exactly dressed like she was on the back of T'Challa's motorcycle. Instead, she's in a pale yellow sundress, black ballet flats, and a black ribbon tying her red hair into a ponytail. Definitely not the kind of clothes she'd want to go out in until, say, mid-Spring at least, but for indoors, it works!

She doesn't say anything at first, her nerves catching up to her, though she does raise a hand to offer a little wave to the people she knows among the gathered.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
From further in the school comes a strange noise. A siren of sorts. A high pitched wail that grows in pitch as it nears. If they were out by the street it might sound like a motorcycle approaching and about to speed past--One of those Japanese sorts that has more whine than growl to the engine.

But instead a dark haired girl goes racing past the door and if careful the sound might be made out as words, slurred and quick, an excited woop of, "Hang on don't leave yet be right baaaaack!"

And she's gone speeding off through the hallways on... heelies? Gabby wasn't a speedster she had to get her speed boosts somewhere, some how.

True to her garbled, high pitched plea in passing she races back a minute or two later carrying an armload of what appears to be shirts, and hoodies, piled high enough to nearly block her view. Tilting her head around the side she cheerily greets, "Captain!" ... Only to pause stiffl as she realizes her hands are full. An awkward side shuffle occurs where she shoves the pile of folded clothing into the nearest chair which unfortunately is occupied by Jamie. "Here hold onto this please real quick thanks--"

Suitably unburdened again she jumps back to an attention position snapping a quick salute. "Captain!"

"Could you do me a huge favor and sign my merch? I mean I get if you can't I know there's all sorts of things like copyright and stuff but I'm trying to get a new line of clothes going where part of the proceeds to go various charities to help out from big conflicts and having a big name like you to signature a few would be a huge boost in help and awareness and--"

Wheeze. Gabby ran out of breath. Even a healing factor needs air. Ducking forward she claps her hands above her knees sucking in a few deep lungfuls. "Sorry. Sorry. Excited."

Steve Rogers has posed:
For his part, Steve is wearing jeans and boots, with a nice warm sweater, a dark green at the top with a line of brown beneath before it gives way to a medium grey for the lower half. Beneath the leather jacket he's wearing it helped against the cold that one encounters riding a motorcycle along the New York expressways in February. His helmet is sitting on the table beside the papers he's reviewing.

Steve gathers those papers up into a stack, sliding them back into a folder as people come in to address him. Rising to his feet, he offers Roberto a handshake. "Yes, we finished up," he confirms. "Did you need to see him? Or me?" Steve asks with a small grin.

Blue eyes swing over, drawn by the sound of Gabby zooming past, the young woman's antics getting a chuckle while she's still off gathering what she is. Instead Steve focuses on Marie-Ange. "Hello," he offers. "I just wanted to thank you again for your assistance the other day. Still trying to find out exactly what was going on there," he tells the woman in the sundress.

Gabby's return then is sure to garner the man's attention. As she explains what she is seeking, Steve gives her a quick nod. "Of course, sounds like a good cause. I'd be happy to help. Which charities are you working with?" he asks Gabby.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue plucks one of the books she was looking for from the shelf. She turns it over to glance at its cover before she tucks it in to a little tote bag she'd had rolled up in her hoodie pocket. With another glance down to her phone, she overhears the madness unfolding behind her, and she peaks around a bookshelf to see a gathering of people.

Captain America. She hadn't ever spoken to him before... but, he was probably a friend of Carol's. He ... wouldn't recognize her though, he deals with all kinds of problems, all kinds!

Nevertheless though, Rogue drops her eyes back down to her phone and just walks past the group, her white bangs framing her face as she goes to another aisle of old shelves to search for the tombe she's after next...

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa raises an eyebrow and looks at the others, not for the first time wondering if this is what it's like to have siblings, he should ask Sam. He gives Marie a casual nod and then a closer regard around the assitance, making a note to read the after action report she's totally filed as per protocol. She totally hasn't and Berto knows that as well.

He smiles as Gabby wheels in and drops her armload, "Someone has been putting their Christmas gift to good use." He chuckles as well, then returns his attention to Steve shaking the man's hand firmly, "No sir, you. I'm guessing the Professor already went over the results on the Sentinels? It was pretty standard except for some coding. I actually wanted to talk with you about a pet project, I found some similarities as I looked at some of the data your team was throwing about, the logistical stuff. It's corporate." Roberto flips open the tablet and places it on the table. "I've been lining them up and we can use these to fight them in a different way. We don't need to cut heads off."

Jamie Madrox has posed:
There are plenty of fans of Captain Rogers here, so LibrarianJamie remains in his seat, allowing the others to go up to him for conversation or autographs. Yes, he is cool and all, but Jamie does not want to push any of the others out of their way to get close enough to say hello.

But it is a great opportunity for some people watching...

And then, of course, he ends up the recipient of a large pile of clothing. Apparently his role has shifted from watcher to dresser. He looks over at Gabby and offers a smile. "No problem," he says. Could be worse.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie relaxes a bit when she realizes Steve's not here to, say, arrest her. Instead, he thanks her, and cheeks go red, head is bowed. "I... I...." It's difficult enough for her to accept thanks. From someone of that stature? That's a whole nother level! "...merci, Capitan." she answers in a meek tone. "If my assistance is needed further, simply alert me." she answers, forcing herself to lift her eyes and offer a shy smile.
Of course, she does have to dodge to the side to avoid the incoming Gabby-missile. The younger girl's enthusiasm drawing a giggle from Marie. "...it seems you are quite well-known, here." And everywhere. It's freaking Captain America!

...and believe it or not, 'Berto, she would have! The people of Xavier's were present when T'Challa offered to train her, so she figures they're exempt from Jan's order to hush. Not that it's the most DETAILED report and some is in French, but it's there.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney sucks in another quick breath of air. Re-energized, and calmed down enough she stands again grinning brightly from ear to ear. "It's a Gotham based clothing company--Thanks for gifting it to me for Christmas Berto--So working with a local charity there to help those that are injured or displaced during criminal activities. Also with a larger charity that offers support nation-wide in a similar capacity. The Gotham one is called G4G, Gothamites For Gotham. The nationwide is," Rattles off some national charity known for being legit that player can't think of a name for now.

Turning back to Jaime she reaches for one of the hoodies off the top to pull out and hold up. It's in some red white and blue design but is actually not a rip off or copy of anything Cap could call 'his' design. "We're putting out a range of hero-inspired shirts and hoodies. Similar colors, but no design copying," she assures giving the whole pitch. "We've got local artists working to create original designs." Looking up she flashes a grin. "There's actually a lot of really great street artists in Gotham who are excited for the chance to do something legit."

With the pitch given she claps her hands together a single time. It'd be more impressive if it wasn't for the cloth in the way. "Okay. I... am really stealing all of your time here and I know there's people hiding around here who are interested in also saying hi to you. I can smell you all!" She calls out, calling them out, witn a upward roll of her eyes. "Stop being shy when you aren't." At least she doesn't name names? Yeah. "Oh, yeah, I think my dad worked with you during ther war. Went by Jimmy back then? Or 'Lucky' was it?" Hm.

Without another word she reaches into her pocket to pull out a candy which she unwraps, and tosses into her mouth so that she'll stop rambling a bit. Quietly she extends a hand toward Marie to give her a bro-fist when Cap thanks her for her help. Quiet heck yeah.

Steve Rogers has posed:
After greeting those who have approached him directly, Steve takes a moment to glance around the rest of the library. There's another student or two peeking in the doorway that Gabby smells. His eyes go over to Jamie Madrox, and though unfamiliar with Jamie, Steve Rogers offers him a friendly nod of greeting.

The young woman with the shock of white hair getting a book also gets a nod of greeting from Steve before Roberto is offering the tablet. Steve takes it from him, starting to glance over it. "So this is talking about... are there branches of Hydra that actually have legitimate financial ownership?" he asks. Obviously there are aspects of the organization that aren't the sort of area Steve would have focused on, and this is one of them. "Just AIM though?" he asks.

Marie-Ange's comment about Steve being well known causes him to glance up and over at the door again. "Yes, we've worked with your folks here on a number of occasions. And not my first time visiting either. I'll have to find out whether those tactics tips I got asked for helped one of the students in... what was it. Call of Duty? Something like that."

Hambone no doubt.

Steve motions to the table for Gabby to put some of clothing there. "Sounds like a great idea. Do you have a suitable marker for it?" he asks, apparently willing to sign them while he talks to people. "Your father?" Steve repeats. Of course he doesn't Gabby's clone nature, but the name she mentions plus the number of years would limit who all it could be. "Howlett is your father?" he repeats, with a grin as if he'll enjoy seeing Logan to talk about that next time sees him.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is struggling to find the second book in her list of five. She paces down one of the aisles and ends up back in the view of the others. A glance is given up and over to them, listening to Gabby's chatter, and looking to Steve where he is with the few others who've come to speak with him. She offers a small smile to Steve when he looks her way, along with a little wave of her hand holding the cloth handles of that dark blue tote she's holding in her left hand.

Ultimately, though, Rogue ends up beside Librarian Jamie Madrox Dupe #5123. She shoves her phone at him to show the other four book titles she's looking for.

"Heya, J-Bone... ya wanna help me find these? I forget how the Dewie Decimal System works." She says with a grin again for him this time.

How does she even know what that system is? Well, she's absorbed old people before too! Weird memories always come up now and then...

Jamie Madrox has posed:
The nod from Captain America is returned, and Jamie realizes just why people swarm to him. Even just that fills his heart with something optimistic. Like the man is a hope magnet.

But then Rogue is there, and she needs him. And when Rogue needs him...well, this might be the first time Rogue ever actually NEEDED him, so hardly customary. But he stomps into action. A good solid stamp on his feet ejects a Librarian Jamie Madrox Dupe #5124, leaving 5123 to remain as custodian from Gabby's clothes. The new Jamie takes a quick look at the list again, and then heads off to use his encylopedic knowledge of not just the Dewey Decimal system but the layout of the library to quickly collect the books that Rogue needs. Leaving 5123 to ask the big questions.

"So, what's got you all academic all of a sudden?"

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie can't help herself. Dainty pale fist meets Gabby's own with a giggle. She's a little in awe, here. Even living under a rock, in France, there are people who were just bigger than nations. This was one of them.

"Oh, really?" That's part of the history of Captain America that she didn't know. T'Challa knows about the school. Cap knows. Maybe the rest of the Avengers do, too? Probably still best not to take it for granted, though.

She does take this opportunity, also, to let some of the others -- especially Roberto -- talk to the Captain. It sounds like he's got Important Business to discuss!

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa nods slowly, impressed by how quickly Steve picks up the alien form of tactics, "Yes, AIM is the biggest single entitty, I actually found that out coincidentally. When my Father was injured in an accident caused by Justin Hammer when he made a play for the company. We actually fooled him into a false offer, which we were able to counter and turn against him putting his holdings at risk, he used some unknown pool of resources to shore himself up. It was his stake in AIM's shadow board." He switches the display, showing the the money trail and the bots watching the accounts highlghted some small trickle of data has been coming in and a few well known names are popping up, in addition to a bevy of unknown entities, "That's where we can start, but yes, Hydra is a massive endeavor and that requires that a certain portion of it be legal and above board. We can target this, target these assets, some of the may not even know they are part of Hydra. I mean, they're in the government, would it be so out of the loop to assume they've infiltrated industry?" He purses his lips, "Durng the audit after then incident with my Dad we found some worrying transacations in DaCosta International, small disaprate groups, I've had them merged into one area and have a trusted manager that no one outside family knows is a trusted lieutenant keeping an eye on them, we've been feeding them data to see where it goes, nothing big but a few hits that we're running down." Another graph of some small blips is largely blank field, "I'm not syaing we can pull them out root and stem but we can make some headway, and perhaps curtail some of their operations."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Does she have something suitable to write with. Is that even a question? Gabby reaches into her pockets again to pull out a handful of Sharpies in various colors, some even metallic, which she offers out toward Cap without hesitation. "Take your pick! I can see if they can stitch over it so it's permanent, too." It's set down on the table as she turns back to Jamie to start taking more of the load off of him. For a moment she graces him with as close to puppy dog eyes as she can (this worked better when she was younger) to ask, "Can you help me set these out please?" But then Rogue is there asking the book questions. She's just about to taek the load of clothes from Jamie when he stomps out another dupe causing her to pause. "Ooh, you're THAT guy. Sweet."

With help or not she works to setting out at least seven hoodies and a couple of shirts. Not TOO much, but enough that she could claim a limited signature run and raise a ton for charity and the shop itself. Heck yeah.

"Yep, that's him. I guess technically I'd be a grand-daughter but cloning, you know," a shrug is given, "So it's complicated enough and I think it annoys him to call him dad so I run with it."

Steve Rogers has posed:
Steve Rogers's lips press together slightly as if he's trying to suppress the size of the grin that wants to form as Gabby mentions she calls Logan 'dad' to annoy him. "Well, nice to meet someone from his family," Steve replies to her more seriously. "Hope I don't miss him before I have to get back to the city," he tells her.

He gets to work signing the clothing items. Though he glances up at the mention of the Dewey Decimal System. "They still use it?" he asks Rogue with a faint note of surprise, and a small smile at something that familiar to him still being around.

Any further conversation on it from Steve drops off though as he watches Jamie stamp his foot and a second copy of the man appears! Steve leans back in his chair, confounded for a few moments. "And I thought Avengers Mansion had me ready for everything," he comments softly to himself with a grin, one that flashes over to Jamie along with a nod that seems a positive acknowledgment of his power.

Steve goes back to signing, though doing it slowly as he's putting a lot of his attention on Roberto's explanation. "I admit the financial angles are not really my forte. Janet or Tony, or Hank or a few others even, could probably give more input. But if you're able to track them like this and help shut them down, Roberto, I think it would definitely be a good step forward. Is there anything I can do to help with it?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue takes a second to eyeball Hambone, and his crew of nare-do-well Juniors loitering around in the hallway and gawking at Captain America from afar. But, it's Steve's question about the Dewiest System of them All that gets the Belle to regard the Captain again.

She grins in a lopsided manner before shaking her head, causing the smoothly brushed white bangs framing her face to gently wave side to side. "I have no idea. In a place like this? Run by a man like the Professah? More'n likely it does..." She says in that accented voice of magnolias and midnight of hers back at him.

When Jamie asks her what she's up to, she just grins at him, and reaches out a gloved right hand to lightly sock him on the shoulder. "I'm a teacha, dummeh. I need these books for my classes t'morrow..." When she sees them getting brought over by the other Dupe, the southern gal raises up her tote to open it for him to drop them in, she grins at him next. "You're a life save'ah."

Jamie Madrox has posed:
"Yep, I am that guy!" replies Jamie cheerfully to Gabby. Apparently word gets around! And it's not bad for a change.

As the dupe comes back with her books, Jamie in the chair nods. "Well, yes, but I figured..." He shakes his head, and instead just smiles back at her. "Any time, Rogue." He reaches out to place a hand on the dupe, and he vanishes as he is reabsorbed. "Mi dupos su dupos."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa exhales and chuckles softly, considering, "Well, if you had 10 or twenty billion to kick in... You and Nick have a slush fund?" He blinks innocently enough but the grin he tries to hide is pure guile, there are of course always rumors but truth? "Yeah, I did want to bring in a few others but I have an idea who they are. I mean I love Hank, and Tony is a whiz, Janet is very well known for what she's accomplished... but- " Berto glances about reluctant to be more truthful around his peers, "I mean I can talk to them if you want me to. I would like to bring in Toni Ho, as our Shield liason if that was okay?" Roberto smiles, "She's a first class mind and someone who doesn't buy in to the hype, it's something we can use."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
The conversation between Roberto and Steve? Well. Admittedly, she does not grasp too well. She's a music major. Ultimately, a creative at heart. Jenny might've gotten it, but she was better with numbers than Marie, to be sure. Some things do stick out, though, from memories of the trip down south, so she's trying to follow along!

Steve's mention of the Avengers Mansion preparing him, though, gets a wry little grin for Marie. "You might be surprised, Capitaine, one of your associates was most surprised of what /I/ can do." Though, for said associate's reputation, the seer isn't going to name names. The future is generally more of her interest, anyways.

Jamie's trick -- which she caught mainly because one eye must be kept on Hurricane Gabby lest one gets run over -- is immediately put together in her head as being responsible for the multiple-Rogues at the teacher's birthday party. "I can only imagine how useful being 'that guy' could be, Monsieur!" she calls over, before starting to make her way over towards him. Technically, Jamie's one she has seen, but hasn't /met./ Extending her hand, "My name is Marie-Ange Colbert," she introduces herself; no French words, but the French accent is there, as always. "I see the future."

And brings tarot cards to life, but, that's the slightly more obvious part of her powers. Even if Mary wanted her to attempt it with Magic cards... and she'll admit, she wonders if the other girl still has those decks.

Steve Rogers has posed:
At the comment from Rogue, Steve Rogers breaks out in a quiet chuckle. "Just one more reason I enjoy Professor Xavier," he confirms to Rogue as she touches on the man being grounded in a few more things that relate to Steve's day than the average person in 2023.

Steve looks back to Roberto then. "Unfortunately even with interest compounding while I was gone, my savings account didn't really reach those kind of levels," he says. There was no savings account in truth, he'd donated the extra from his paychecks to the USO. "I can grasp the basics of what you are advocating, but yes if you want to seek any opinions or help from others, they'd be good ones to talk to. I have no idea what Nick Fury has on hand but I just assume it's probably anything he needs. Seems safest," Steve says with a wry smile.

While not trying to eavesdrop, Steve can't help but catch Marie-Ange's introduction to Jamie. One eyebrow goes up slightly at her mentioning she can see the future. He likely files that news away, though that's also the kind of thing that Steve Rogers would naturally be wary of. Such things always seem, to him, to come with a price.

He turns his attention back to the clothing, signing his autograph on it. "I never would have believed signing things would become so second nature," he comments as he duplicates the same autograph again and again. "Glad they made me take the time to come up with a decent looking one back when they had me doing shows to sell war bonds," he comments, more to himself than anyone else.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney waits until the signing is done before carefully folding each item again. There's no haste this time, just a care to the garment and what it now posessed on it. "Well I really appreciate it, Captain. Thank you! Seriously this will be awesome to boost attention to the company and the cause." The clothes are neatly stacked up and grins broadly. "I don't think I have anything in your size right now else I'd gift you one, but I can send one out later if you'd like." A little card is fished out from her pocket in bright colors. Naturally. It's set down where he can grab it once done his talk with Berto. "Pick whatever you like and I'll get it out to you," she promises.

With that done she scoops up the much neater stack of clothes, pauses to lean down and give Berto's cheek a quick kiss, "Thanks again for the gift! I'm using it well!"

With that she scoots away, arms fully loaded, passing by Marie and Jamie. "She's really good at it too! And I need to drop off your new deck for you, Marie. Catch up with you later--Oh and I'm Gabby," she finally thinks to introduce for both Jamie and Cap's knowledge. "Gabrielle Kinney but everyone calls me Gabby because I think you know why by now." Yeah it was obvious.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just gives Jamie another grin as he re-absorbs his Dupe, then she smiles at Marie's approach. Being that they're both named Marie, and both fluent in French, Rogue considers there to be a weird kinship there because of it. "Watch out for this one, he's not as innocent as he makes out." Rogue warns Marie of the Librarian Jamie.

Her eyes go back to Cap, Rob, and Gabby then as the signatures are being scribbled out, and the southern gal steps over to Steve's side. "CAp'n Rogers. We're havin' Chicken an' Waffles for dinner t'night, if you're feelin' a bit peckish. True t'southern form kinda dinnah. You're welcome t'join, and regail us with some'a your harrowing stories, of which I imagine ya got an endless amount of." She states before starting to separate herself from the group. "I'm gonna run these up t'my bedroom though, so if not, it was nice t'see ya stoppin' by, and if Roberto here is tryin' t'get you t'sighn up for some kinda Crypto Currency, be wary, okay?" She asks, before she shoots Roberto a grin, then waves a hand to everyone as she makes for the doorway, leaving Hambone's group to have to part for Rogue's form, as they know all too well not to touch the Southern Belle.

Jamie Madrox has posed:
There is a gasp that comes forth from Jamie. "You /wound/ me, Rogue," he says, mock clutching his heart in exasperation. "I am a fine upstanding gentleman," he insists, before he looks over at Marie and Gabby both. "It's my evil twins that you need to worry about." He waggles an eyebrow at that, and starts to stand up as he is now freed of the obligation of being Gabby's rack. As much as he truly did not seem to mind serving as such.

"A pleasure to meet each of you," he says to both Gabby and Marie in turn. "If I can ever be of assistance, I'm always happy to help. And if not me, well, you can get some mes."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa raises his eyebrows, "So, maybe... gotcha." He nods, making his own note. He blushes faintly at the kiss from Gabby, "You really are, I'm glad you're getting so much use out of it." He grins at her and gives an over-exagerated sigh, "X-Coin had legs, if the Professor had signed off on it we could have made a mint!" He turns back to Steve with a lopsided grin, "I'm always confounded why the Avengers never started a school. Great, so, I'll get started on all this and let you know when I find something out." He raises an eyebrow at Marie and the telling the future thing but says nothing.

Steve Rogers has posed:
Steve rises from the chair he was sitting in to sign the clothing items. "Well, if you just imagine Clint running a classroom," he says, trailing off and no doubt making a mental note to share that comment with Clint later. Clint humor is best said in front of the man after all.

"Thank you, ma'am," Steve says to Rogue of the offer. "A bite before the ride back to the city wouldn't be a bad idea." He turns back to Roberto to nod and say, "Alright, let me know how it is going. And be prepared. If you do this, it is likely going to put anyone involved into Hydra's crosshairs once they realize there is threat to their holdings."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"What is the American saying... 'you know where I sleep', Gabby?" Marie replies to Gabby, though her cheeks redden a bit at the compliment. Even a compliment on her readings. Any positive attention brings color to pale skin. Though... it's her opinion that she's probably only the /second/-best Tarot-reader that the little clone knows.

Whether or not it's true is debatable. The redhead doesn't tend to give herself the credit she's due.

That kinship goes both ways; familiarity is something that has long earned points with Marie, and when she first arrived at Xavier's years ago, and had much more trouble with English... yes. A bond was certainly formed. She /trusts/ Rogue. Which is why Marie's gaze sloooowly turns towards Jamie. "I will remember this, merci beaucoup." To reinforce the point, she lifts two fingers to her eyes, then points them at Jamie. She saw it in a movie once!

"Oh, oui, you should! Chicken and Waffles... it does not /sound/ like it goes well together, but it is indeed most splendid, Capitaine!" she adds, piggy-backing onto Rogue's comment to Steve. Hey, she's sure that he's got interesting stories to tell, too!

Roberto's words catch her ears, too, though. She makes note about the Crypto comment. She owns some, though she'd not entirely sure what it's for. She'll have to ask at some point. Though, she will add, "Perhaps the Professor can help them start one, n'est-ce pas? An Avengers Academy, oui?" The alliteration rolls off the tongue. Even hers. Plus, it sounds fancy with the accent..

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto da Costa slips his hands into his pockets as he looks around the room, with the smile of someone used to being underestimated, "Capitane, I am an Afro-Brazilian mutant from one of the richest families on the planet. I was born with a target and it's only gotten bigger. Let them come, 'I Feel A Great Swell Of Pity For The Poor Soul Who Comes To this School Looking For Trouble.' I'm pretty sure it's our motto." He smiles and offers his hand, "Yeah, Rogue makes a /mighty/ good chicken and waffles. Thank you."
