Synopsis: Alura and Conner catch Kal up on what they found in the antarctic and what the plan is going forward to restore the Sanctuary of Solitude.
Cast of Characters: Alura In-Ze, Conner Kent, Clark Kent

Alura In-Ze has posed:
Hovering in the middle of the room is a very large hologram of a dungeon like maze that delves deep underground with the surface at the very top. As if the Fortress of Solitude just kept growing randomly, that's what the Sanctuary of Solitude did. A dungeon master would be proud of this creation. There are a lot of dead drops, dead ends, vertical shafts, and in the very middle a huge opening.

"It's an ecological disaster. The Sanctuary of Solitude came in contact with a tiny fragment of Kryptonite when it came to Earth. Its programming was drastically corrupted and... now I'm trying to prepare a strategy for how we can clean this mess up. The only thing that stopped it from continuing to expand - its sunstone generator and control room dropped out of the bottom and in to a pocket cave under the ice."

Conner Kent has posed:
"Yeah, some weird critters, but they are trapped," Conner is not sure that qualifies as an ecological disaster. It is not as if the thing released foxes in Australia or some. "Anyway. It is a shame, but it can be cleaned and fixed, right? And it is not as if you were going to open a resort. Actually, what was the goal with that sanctuary?"

Or with the Fortress, for that matter. Although Kal turned in into an sci-fi operations center for the rare cases when he can't solve a problem flexing his muscles. Then again, what would Conner send with the last survivors of a planet? Maybe it is better not to ask.

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman was also hovering nearby. His arms were crossed across his chest as he assessed what Alura had just told him. "I understand. This is a disaster. As you are the expert here, I leave it to you as to how we proceed. Do we retrieve the generator and control room, or something a lot more drastic?"

Listening to Conner's words, Superman nods and says, "Good point Conner." Moving slowly over the epicenter. "This could spiral out of control."

Alura In-Ze has posed:
Alura walks slowly around the hologram in circles. "It can be cleaned and fixed. And must. We can't have rogue Kryptonian technology polluting the Earth." She nods to Conner and explains. "It was meant to be a home away from Krypton for Kara. Like this place, for Kal. Things didn't go entirely to plan."

She stops and tucks her hands behind her back as she looks up to Clark, "I think we can fix it. Make it draw the parts back in, repair the ice, - fixing the creatures in the cave will be harder. But with care we could have a fully operational Sanctuary within a few years. Partially operation within a few months. Assuming no interruptions to the world and with the help of yourself, Conner, Kara, ... and Divine."

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner rolls his eyes at that. Home. A home larger than most palaces in Earth? Good thing they are in the poles. He can imagine only how many people. No, entire nations, would try to get control of one of the Solitude places and the super-tech. All of them? From The US to Atlantis.

"Oh well, sure, I can help. Uh, maybe not the weeks of finals," this is his third college year, it is not as easy as the first two! "We gotta be careful no one notice us there, though. I am pretty sure a few agencies keep tabs on Supes and try to track down his movements. Maybe we could use teleporters?"

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman lands and follows Alura's lead. "Understood. I agree we can't have this rogue technology running amok." Superman's face obviously looks concerned. "It should have been Kara's home away from home." Superman nods in agreement with Alura after a glance over at Conner. "Now...we need to recover this for her."

"Make it draw the parts back in..." Superman walks over to Alura. "...okay." Superman pauses at Divine's name being mentioned. "I see. All for one..." Superman allows himself a small smile.

"The creatures in the cave come next. Conner and I can work on that together." Superman looks back over at Conner, see if he is okay with that, after finals of course. "As for the rest, one step at a time. As for teleporters, well. I think we can summon some privacy in the short term, if I make a call."

Alura In-Ze has posed:
Alura looks lost at the musketeers reference. She hasn't been on Earth nearly long enough to draw in the social cues like that. "The big problem is the core. We don't exactly have spares of them laying about. I'll need to scrub all the corrupted code from it - but to actually fix it."

She frowns a moment and glances at Clark. "We'll have to take the Fortress off line, fly the core there, do a transfer, then fly it back. All that in under 37 seconds or else the sun core generator will overload and take out half the planet with it."

"I should note that I shut down the Sanctuary once the Kryptonite was removed. If Monet hadn't been there to help us we ... it would have been bad. That was the first time I've experienced Kryptonite and it was very very very unpleasant."

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner has been leaning against a wall, looking vaguely bored so far. But that last comment makes him start, "the what? Aunt Allura, why did you put a power source liable to destroy half the planet in that building? Was that normal in Krypton?"

That is something... like his self from 2017 would do. No, wait, maybe what Bart from 2017 would do. He leans back, "man, if Batman finds out he is going to kick the place into the sun, with all of us inside."

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman nods. "That is a challenge." Superman thinks for a moment. "I have friends that can help with the code, if necessary. Fixing it...now that is the issue. That will be lot harder to do." The man looks deep in thought for a few seconds, trying to sort through the data.

"Take the Fortress offline." Superman frowns. "Ok. For Kara. I can do it in 35 seconds, pushing it to the limit." His mind screams at the mathematics.

At the moment, Kal agrees with Conner about the power source. "It will be close. But it would be worth it." Pause. "Conner is right about Batman. I can have contingencies in place. If we need to abort. I am not putting the Earth at risk."

Superman grimaces slightly, remembering how Kryptonite feels. "Yeah...unpleasant isn't what I would use to describe it, but I understand what you mean. Glad Monet was there. Ok. Conner? You good to go?"

Alura In-Ze has posed:
"It'll be a while before I'm ready for the transfer. It should, in theory, given how fast we fly -" she means the native Kryptonians - "that it will be done in 12 second at most. But there could be complications and if things go wrong: we abort and think of another way to do it."

She chuckles, "I've not met this.. bat.. man. I read a little about him in your files Kal and he seems very intelligent. Intelligent enough to understand how many safeties and backups the Fortress has in case something goes wrong."

Conner Kent has posed:
"I am not that fast," admits Conner. "Kal and Kara are the ones that can run with real speedsters. I guess you too, Allura, if you have already soaked enough sun power. But I will help at whatever I can."

12 seconds against 37 seconds seems like a good deal of time to fix errors. How much is that in subjective super-fast time? Conner could stretch thirty seconds into about 20 minutes by burning most of his stored power. But for Impulse it would be several hours easy.

"It seems okay... unless we get attacked just in the middle of the operation, and then..." blink, pause. "Agh, I am hanging around Robin too much. I will end up paranoid. Like Batman. Which is why he would be extremely annoyed about all this."

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman agrees, easily. "True. Okay. Sounds like we are good to go then. Do what you need to Alura, and we will tackle this together. I feel a lot better knowing you and Conner are in on this challenge." Superman takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly.

"Batman is...Batman. I respect and admire what he can do. However, you are right. There are backups and safeties involved. Let us hope it is enough..."

Superman actually pays complete attention to what Conner was saying."That is very perceptive Conner." The tone of respect in his voice was obvious. "I am impressed. It is better to be preparedfor things going bad than be caught unawares."

Alura In-Ze has posed:
"Ironically. If we had both the Solitudes operational, one could shield the other and make this entire operational completely safe. We'll be better off with both facilities up and running. If the Sanctuary remains stable we'll set up the link bridge between the two of them...."

She pauses and goes for the more local vernacular, "Teleporter. Sort of a kind of teleporter. With swirling rings." She smiles a touch. The cute way things are described with less detail on Earth is touching in a way.

"The travel part is the only part we can do at super speed. Yes these are mbrain-computers but establishing multidimensional quantum bridges to reprogram the damaged parts does take time. Time well spent, but time we cannot speed up with our abilities."

Conner Kent has posed:
"I mean... no, that is not what I meant. I... okay, nevermind!" Better quit when you are ahead, Conner. Also, maybe invite Bart to the operation. It looks that 'fast' is the keyword this time.

Which leaves him staring into the dungeon map. Because it looks a bit to a dungeon map from one of those games his friends love. "When are we going to do this?"

Clark Kent has posed:
R"Good question Conner." Superman claps his hands together. Gently, not to cause a concussive force. "ASAP! Well, Alura, I will follow your lead. I'll take the football, and get it to the end zone before the 37 seconds! Conner, you are my defensive line. Anything else we need to know while you tackle the problem Alura?"

Alura In-Ze has posed:
Alura stares in confusion for a moment and then simple nods. "Right." All of those references going over her head. "Not really. The Sanctuary has almost no power left in it but I'm lead to believe I will be able to recharge it myself." She taps a finger her eyes."

"If you boys want to start helping those creatures back to their natural state then I'll start deleting corrupt code. Operation save the Antarctic is a go."

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner smirks at Allura's puzzled look. "Yeah, never got into football myself. But lets save the Antarctic, including those piranha fish in the sanctuary. Man, this reminds me about shark-dinosaur hybrids we found in Gotham a few months ago. We still don't know who made them. At leas there was no kryptonite involved."

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman nods, smiles, and says, "Up up and away." To the task at hand!
