New York at night!
Date of Scene: 25 February 2023
Location: Manhattan
Synopsis: The day is saved as New York goes to the animals, and Hydra made a new enemy.
Cast of Characters: Franklin Richards, Saeko, Belinda Gutierrez

Franklin Richards has posed:
New York, 11 at night and the streets are still busy as cars come flying past honking if someone gets in their way, the sidewalks not near as full as the day, but people can be seen all long them in patches. The weather is cold, enough to make one wear a jacket, though not enough to freeze. Disturbing this comes a young man, he is wearing head to toe Fantastic Four merchandise. He has the black and blue hoodie, with the black and blue hat, both sporting the 4. The black, and blue pants, and even shoes are all merchandise one would get from the Baxtor building if they went with the tour.

Unlike normal this person seems to be skiing down the sidewalk, currently backwards, at a fast rate of speed people just getting out of the way. Peeling around the corner shortly after him is a tactical van with masked men in army gear with large guns. There are only two in the front, and two in the back, but they had foolishly taken the job of trying to kidnap Franklin Richards, and currently were chasing him down to shoot him with plastic bullets till he gave up.

That is how we got to this moment tonight as the driver chasses the young man, and the young man just skates down the concreate as if it were ice and his feet were the skates.

Saeko has posed:
Saeko was best known for appearing at her shrine for those who knew of its modest existance...but that didn't mean the Tenko was there constantly.

She did like to venture out after all!

Currently cloaked in her more human (but still uncomfortably beautiful) guise the raven-haired woman was currently sipping from a takeaway hot cocoa with a soft sigh of delight right up to the moment when a stray plastic bullet fired from an overly keen goon caused her to gasp...and her drink to explode.

Slowly, deep blue eyes narrowed, amber-gold creeping in as irises turned slit-like.

How dare!

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
New York, a city that never sleeps, even on the encroaching edge of midnight. Summery weather only hinting,as the stirring wind makes well sure that the reminder of chilly air, chilly cold are not far from mind! Sadly, it is a massive city, a place of untold millions; gunfire is a way of life, like the neon and the honking and the barely-there presence of the stinks of cars and air condtioners and too many people in too small a space.

Except when that gunfire is right on top of you!

"Vamine!" comes the young woman's cry. Returning from a late night jog, a brisk walk from the near bus station, Belinda Gutierrez thought tonight would be the least distracting and exciting, a capstone to complete the day's affairs. Then the kick of a plastic bullet randomly sprayed into her chest--

Bel goes sailing back from impact, more surprise than pained shock, crashing into a garbage bin as her warning dies on her lips. "...ow?"

Franklin Richards has posed:
The truck keeps coming and is catching up with the young man as he skates by hopping up and landing on his other foot the keep moving down the side walk the shots just missing him though knocking out windows, people who randoly get in the way, even sign posts as they are struck a few times. Though turning into a near by alley the boy hooks a hard left, and the van has to stop quickly to make the turn. Thankfully there is a small stop in the fire, as the driver radio's someone else. "We have him cornered send in the back-up." as they pull infront of the alley turning the truck to face sideways so it blocks the way for other vehicles coming the same way down, and maybe one person from leaving, as they all jump out.

Down the road two more vans are coming though there is no shooting from them. They are coming to help the others that called so while they may look the same in wardrobe, they have no reason to be as loud. As franklin reaches the end of the alley it is blocked off by a wall to reach the other side so he stops.

Turning Franklin sighs to himself as he thought the fun was over he dusted his hands off and looks at the quickly approaching people with weapons, and considers. Was this fourty-nine, or was it fifty. There were so many times he had started to lose count. Of course none of the kidnappers knew about the people they shot they had eyes for one person, and so the others were just collateral. It was all to get one person, and they were not done as their boss said they would keep at it until Franklin had weakened himself enough.

Saeko has posed:
Being shot was insulting, being ignored was disrespectful...losing her drink? Well, that was just rude.

The flare of blue flame around her form announced Saeko's departure, but her arrival suddenly sitting in the back of one of the vans was probably... Startling.

"Excuse me," she offers in her accented tones. Blessings might require offerings, but as their weapons began to twist and warp, barrels becoming serpents it was pretty clear: wrath came for free.

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
Belinda blinks, staring up at the sky. Night sky, neon from local, shop signs still shimmering--

"...did someone kick me?" is the first thing she asks the air, sitting up as she brushes an old burger wrapper from her chest. "Eeeeww," she adds, grimacing as-- van squealing to a stop up ahead, cutting catty-corner as it parks ion front of the alleyway of Franklin's temporary sanctuary. "That is so not good parallel parking," she growls to herself, sitting up as it suddenly clicks in on her. Gunfire. Broken windows. That distinct feeling of something heavy--

"You /shot/ me?" she squeaks incredulously, eyes widening. "No es buen!" she grumbles, pushing herself up to her feet. "No es buen at all!"

Shoving the metal mesh of the garbage can away from her, she stumbles up to her feet, glaring around; a split second's glance at a broken store, it swindow cracked and riddled with holes and shockingly intact for being shot to bits. She chuffs, a quick glance before the 'panicked teenager' dives for cover in the broken store.

"I'll bet el Hombre Arana does not have to deal with this!" she complains, tugging the white tee off of her head. Changing!

Franklin Richards has posed:
As she appears in the back of the vans does get a couple of their attantion as the screams of "get it off me!" and "Snakes, why did it have to be snakes." is heard over the radio by the others the two vans pulling in behind the first, and about ten more people start to get out looking at what the heck is going on here. The man in front puts a hand out palm flat, " we are not here for you, let us take the boy and we will be on our way." and he looks like he can control his people as none of them raise their guns, as with his other hands he makes the point them down gesture.

That is till he is tapped on the shoulder from one of his men behind him.. "Umm Sir." and he points at the changing werewolf. With a sigh the main leader that was talking Radios.. "Send everything... Fire... Fire!" yelling at his people to shoot at the approaching werewolf as it seemed more dangerous. What ones can will try to open fire not considering their bullets are plastic as they are not thinking right now just shooting.

From back in the alley Franklin speaks up, "Umm guys... hello?" he was expecting more then just two, but he couldn't see into the back of the truck, nor the charging lady as the van blocked his view. Walking forward he sighs a bit, "I swear it is hard to find good kidnappers these days." walking past two piles of sand,,, strangly it happend to be where the other two from the van Saeko was in were at.

Saeko has posed:
A little giggle, a blown kiss to the panic-filled men before she vanishes from the panicing vehicle only to reappear beside Franklin and his men.

"Excuse me...who are your friends and why are they shooting people?"

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
Belinda finishes changing in a quick, dirty fashion. Saved shirt, but sweatpants-- the werewolf releases a quiet sigh as they simply *burst* before the new, powerful shape. The wolf-woman shoves the bullet-riddled window down with a clatter of bullet-proof glass, stepping out into the roadway with a toothy smirk. Larger now, stronger, denser-- plastic bullets go from a kick in the chest of a girl to the patter of falling rain against furred muscle and lupine bone. Only more annoying.

"...really?" Silverdane inquires noncommitally, cracking her knuckles together. "Embarssing yourselves," she adds with a smug rumble. Brushing a long hand across her breast, she opens her arms wide, loose, as if inviting the barrage of weapons to renew their fire. Grinning savagely, she advances with an eager growl. Plastic bullets fire anew, shattering against her body, pattering to the ground in a clatter of fragments. Grinning wider, she approaches with glittering, confident menace. Nostrils quivering. Cordite. Stale sweat.

...strawberries?

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin is looking at the van slowly approaching when someone appears beside him. "Agh!" he says with a jump, and then looks at her. "I am going to guess if you think they are my friends your not with them." he looks over at the van blocking the alley then back to her. He smiles and waves an arm in a flurish as he bows, "Franklin Richards at your service." he points a finger at the others, "Those guys are kidnappers, I am going to guess they are after me for some kind of orders, as the money they have put in it has been way more then they could get for me." and chuckles a bit as the shooting finally stops.

Maybe they have realised it wouldn't work, or maybe they were afraid she was too close and they would bounce. Either way they are quietly staring at her as she would start to hear the sound coming from a bit behind her. The Womp Womp noise as the helicopter starts lowering from the sky the ten people that were left start ducking down and jumping away.

When the shooting starts Belinda would see it rip through the van, as Franklin back in the alley with Saeko speaks up again, "Oh shoot.. One moment." and he starts moving forward the fact that the helicopter was pulled out, and that they were using real firepower now. I mean they could of accidently shoot him what were they thinking. So he starts running towards the entrance of the alley swearing a bit under his breath, "Dang newbies what the heck are they thinking!"

Saeko has posed:
"Kidnappers..." Saeko muses softly as she folds her arms under her bust, light seeming to dance around her form as her casual clothing shifts and remelds, revealing itself to be that deep red and rather revealing yukata. The pointed ears, her tails flaring out in their full glory while the Tenko lifts her hands as the gunfire rings out. Sniffing lightly, she could pink up Belinda's scent before she moved forwards and brought her hands towards her lips like she was blowing a kiss.

The wheels of the van began to...seem to just fall off, as if their axles had rusted away.

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
Keen ears swivel, flick towards the oncoming sound. Something new-- it takes a few seconds for Silverdane to blink in surprise, stepping back as she turns to face the arriving helicopter. Eyes narrow as the werewolf pauses, staring up at this new threat; the remaining gunmen, no longer shooting, are forgotten as they scatter behind her. Silverdane takes a moment to marvel at the new craft. "..thought only news 'copters around....!" she murmurs, staring in wonder. Military, surely-- it has heavy tubes for rockets, machine guns, no smell of phosphor or gasoline or... She shivers briefly. Flamethrowers. Bad memory-- immediately blown away by the touch of scent, heartbeat leaping as breath confirmed. Fruit, fragrance, cherished memory-- Tenko!

Tensing fingers, limbs, she strides with careful regard for surroundings, teeth btright as she grins cheerfully. (Bystanders? Any bystanders? No bystanders!) Casually moving (as casually as an eight foot monster can), she strides over to one of the vans, ducking behind as it quivers, shakes, wheels blithely slipping away as the Tenko's magic works her sly wiles. The van jumps up after a few seconds, quivers, rocks-- knocked about briefly as if on a crooked jack before it slams back to the pavement.

"Lose something?" the wolf-woman howls suddenly, lunging around the back of the vehicle. In her hand-- a tire, complete with hubcap, formerly part of said kidnappers' van and now-- slung at the helicopter like a demented discus or a cut-rate Captain America shield!

"Here! CATCH!"

Franklin Richards has posed:
Explaining as he approaches the helicopter fire, and the van breaking he explains quickly, "Yea I might of set up myself as a target so my friend could get a break from them." and grins looking back at her though has to look back as Belinda uses the rusted off part to throw at the copter. Though she throws it right as the person inside pushes the button, and one of the rockets on the other wing seperate from the gun, lights up, and starts moving right towards Belinda.

While this is happening the wheel hits the helicopter and the pilot pulls back trying to rise makes it go vertical which is really bad for a hellicopter as it starts to go out of control. As Franklin runs he grumbles, "Dang it.." reaching a hand forward the rocket stops moving through the air locked in place as effort goes though his face. Then reaching with his other hand the helicopter stops as well though Franklin actually falls down to a knee as holding both is a bit too much.

It was difficult, but he couldn't let a helicopter crash in the city, not to mention the rocket though he wasn't sure if it would still go off or not. He was sweating a bit now, but both were held in place as he says through gritted teeth.. "Could you move wolf lady.." though the one thing he didn't see is the leader that was speaking earlier and ducked down when the helicopter came. He was rising again aiming his gun at Franklin as this was the moment he was waiting for as Franklin did not see him at all.

Saeko has posed:
A thrown wheel, a crash of the helicoptor...that was going to be a big thing, but at least there was most people who were going to get clear..."

Still the Tenko does move forwards, a sweep of her hand bringing a sudden rush of blue flame surging before she comes forwards, wrapping a sweeping ring around the vehicles and forcing the men to remain trapped and civillians to stay back.

"This," the fox speaks, humor alight on her voice. "This is where you might wish to surrender."

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
A new experience-- rockets. Silverdane's ears slant down as she blinks in shock, realizing a heartbeat after the fact that -- ROCKET. Richard's request snaps her back to reality as she nods; all smug pride over tossing the tire-turned-Frisbee is abandoned as she lunges from the weapon's frozen path, diving to the side. The kitsune's swirling blue flames falre into being behind her, completing the circle as she lunges away. Grin returning to her features, frozen-- leader, danger, GUN.

Silverdane moves with the quickness of her namesake, interposing herself between the gunman's weapon and Franklin's tense focus, fangs bared in a savage snarl.

"...Won't work!" she growls in protective menace, eyes gleaming with reflection of mystic flame.

Franklin Richards has posed:
As the blue flame sweeps in everyone is either running or holding their hands up in surrender other then the leader. Her few words, and show of flames makes everyone who even considered it give up real quick. The ones there will stay that way until told otherwise, that is all except for the leader. The leader is about to shoot, but doesn't actually see the other lady move towards him. One moment it was a clear shot, then the next he was in the shade as Silver stood there growling at him.

The leader stops, and lowers his gun.. He just says a bit too calmly. "We will reeducate the boy one day cut one head off two grow in their place."  in general as one of the few 'believers' though with no chance even he had to give up he bites down on a tooth his mouth foaming up as he falls saying something Silver has heard before.. "Hail Hydra.". If they ask around they will find out the leader of this group was a hydra agent fooling the other bounty hunters into going after Franklin. He figured once captured he would take him from the other hunters and let Hyrda retrain the boy.

As the missle is redirected up, and exploding in the air so close to the top of the tall buildings some of the glass breaks. Franklin stands still holds the chopter in place now able to fully focus on it. "Thank you.. umm.. Wolf-Lady?" not sure what her name is. "You two work together or something?" and smiles though he holds the vehicle in the air both people inside are not moving as they know if they crashed it would be really bad for them too, and they were just doing a job.

Saeko has posed:
"Not quite," said fox lady offers, her tails flaring around her before her fluffy appendages and the ears melted away, the excessively revealing attire reshifting into more acceptable shorts and a blouse before she looks out towards the damage with a soft sigh. Magic for her own sake was easy, but repairing this damage? She'd need an offering.

"I simply offered some punishment to those who were...disruptively rude."

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
Silverdane's eyes narrow as she hears the remark-- dark memories rushing back in. Then... odd crunch, chewing gum. Her head tilts, eyes widening as she steps back. The froth from the Hydra agent's mouth burbles like fizz, reeks like metallic steam-- she stares in abject horror as the cyanide pill does its gruesome work, ears slanting down as she fights not to cringe in shuddering revulsion.

It takes a moment for Franklin's words to reach her, a glance back (a quick sniff) rewarding with none of the coppery scent of blod, the pang of distress. She exhales as she shakes her head, a grin toothily working its way across her muzzle. "Just passing by?" she offers with a pant, a wry glance back at the bullet-riddled street. A long grimace-- perk! She steps up to Saeko, leaning down to mumble briefly to ear. 'Shrine' comes with the rough murmur, and...

Tamales?

"If is enough," she adds in more normal voice, glancing back at the damage with a grimace. Wincing at the sight. "No hurts to people. That is good, at least."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin nods to Saeko, and then catches her eyeing around. Franklin nods to her. "Thankfully it should be mostly cosmetic damages. But.." he turns and looks at the helicopter. The air wobbles around it as it is reality itself shifting just a little bit. When it stops the helicopter turns to dust falling to the ground the two others floating in the air which he lowers so they can stand with the rest that didn't run. "There is that at least.." able to not have to focus on holding it in place anymore.

He looks at Saeko, "Could you help them." he nods to the line of people effected by rubber bullets. He might be able to, but nothing comes to mind that wouldn't require way to fine control over long periods of time. Glancing back he actually grins at Belinda "Well I am glad you were. I think they realised why they don't come here, and start acting up." though after saying that he sighs realising something.

Looking down Franklin considers why would they make a move on him. Sure he got it they were an evil group of people, but they had realised he was too strong before. Had they gotten stronger, or him weaker.. Though he finally has to shake his head.
