Date of Scene: 02 March 2023
Location: Washington Square Park
Synopsis: Things go wrong, and a poor bird has to pay the price!
Cast of Characters: Nessa Donovan, Franklin Richards, Bart Allen, Caleb Dykstra

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Parks are great for a lot of things. Picnics, walks, enjoying the outdoors... the list can go on and on. For Nessa, it's just a place to get out and be outside. She's been spending a lot of time outside, taking advantage of the fact that she doesn't really need a coat on her walk while others might. Dressed in black jeans and a sky-blue turtleneck, she's still got a pair of gloves on her hands.

It's just a relaxing day to be actually outside. And absolutely nothing is out of the ordinary.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Out of the air there is a, "No... No, not now!" and as the field disapears Franklin blinks into normal sight about ten feet in the air where he was floating. As he falls he wonders if this is how the great Franklin Richards buys it in some fountain, but right before he hits he stops himself though it takes a bit of effort as he then just drops the last amount of space though Franklin still gives an "Ooof!" as he hits the hard ground.

The young adult dressed head to toe in Fantastic Four merchandise, from the black, and blue hoodie with the four on the back to the shoes that follow the same theme. Todays shirt is Ben Grim saying 'It's clobbering time!' on the front though he pulls his black and blue jacket over it, as the cold actually hits him. Standing up quickly he looks around a bit trying to figure out where he was at, and doesn't even see the water turn on spraying out the holes hitting him right in the face again as he is forced back out trying to cover his head, stumbling out of the foutain as he tries to get away from the spraying water.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
That's not something you see everyday. Nessa's walk halts when she sees someone literally fall from the sky. The fountain isn't exactly the best place to land, given the cold, but it probably did help cushion the fall. It doesn't take but a second for her to move towards the fountain, a hand waved in the air slightly as the stream of water hitting Franklin just freezes in the air like some kind of ice sculpture.

The gloved hand that seems to have frozen the water spray is offered as a hand out. "You, uh, might choose a better landing spot next time. That had to hurt. You okay?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen is out for a walk. Bart has spent some time of late trying to be more in the moment, and part of that is an occasional walk through the park or such. He had class earlier so, he has a backpack over one shoulder. You can see earbuds in at least one of his ears, and the fact he seems to be walking to a rhythm might tell he is listening to music. He does pause looking at the fellow falling from the sky.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin gets some relief from the spray, and looks over at the person who helped him with a smile. "More embarassed then injured." he says looking at the fountain as he pats himself to make sure everything is in the spots it is supposed to as he then wipes a bit of blood from his nose. The strain to stop himself purly with TK in that distance was a bit hard on the mind, but thankfully he didn't hit the ground too hard because of it. Looking at Nessa he grins, "Thanks for the help.. It has been a long day." he admits with a sigh looking up to the way he was heading. He should of known better, but he was trying to get back to the Baxtor Building asap so that he could be by himself in his room until things settled down.

He doesn't take the hand though he looks at it and frowns a bit. "It is safer to avoid contact right now, though I do not mean to be rude." he tries to explain. As he is thinking there is a dog that walks by that must of been living around the park, stops and looks at the two.. "What?" then turns, and continues walking. Franklin sighs, and looks around a bit. "I am just trying to get home." he admits hoping that is the worse of it as he considers how he is going to return without his powers.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
It's been a fruitful day for Caleb. He managed to sell his whole stash for the day, something worth a couple thousand bucks. He feels the money inside his coat pocket (yes, he needs to wear one!) and smiles. He prepares to head home, but the smell of hot dogs makes his stomach rumble.

Okay, maybe just one before he heads home...

And, while on the way to the vendor, someone literally comes falling from the sky!

"Jeezus! What the heck was that!?", is his exclamation. And he gets closer to see...

Nessa Donovan has posed:
There's a /very/ amused sounding laugh as he mentions avoiding contact and Nessa wiggles her gloved fingers. "Trust me, I know that feeling," she says as her hand returns to her side. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm sure only a few people saw your graceful fall." With a slight motion of her hand, the frozen spray of water cracks off and falls into the main body of water in the fountain, floating there as the spray starts again without difficulty.

She takes a quick look around to see who happens to be looking to make sure that it's not entirely awkward before she takes in Franklin's appearance. "Fantastic Four fan, huh?" She says in amusement. "Maybe get a rideshare or a cab or something instead of flying home. Kinda seems a bit dangerous at the moment... although you did make quite the entrance."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen would probably say something about he guy falling or the frozen water, but the talking dog is what gets him. He does a double take and cocks his head a bit going through his head of a few dogs, he knows, and that aint one of them. He will look over to the dog "Hey you." He calls out to it.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin nods, and appreciates the understanding nodding to her. "Thank You." he says as he glances around a bit. "Oh it will be on some network though hopefully no-one will reconise me." he looks at her again. "Franklin Richards." he introduces himself to her. "And this is my perfect disquise." he says like he is proud of it. "Do you know how many Fantastic Four fans there are in New York?" he smiles a bit, "No-way one of the members would ever be cought dead in them right?" he chuckles a bit as his plan of hiding in plain sight.

He glances at Bart of course not knowing who he is start calling out to the dog though all he gets is it looking back, and running off whatever it ^was the spark seemed gone now just a normal dog. Though to Nessa he explains, "I can't get that close to people. Or on the street like that, as last time I tried the gravity reversed, and the car was lifted into the air." he shakes his head at the memory. "Thankfully it was very short, and I was able to save us both."

Franklin had lost control of his powers the shot he fired had made their use at best wierd, and worse maybe even dangerous as he had just learned from his fall. He was staying calm for now as it hasn't gotten that bad, but when he talks to her he is looking around, and frowning at how many people he sees here, maybe that little bit of sweat starts as he was only a little worried. He then stopped, and turned to look at Nessa. "Darn it... I forgot to say Tada!" and grins with a chuckle.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over and sighs. He could catch the dog, but it seems to not be it, so he will take a moment stopping at a pretzel seller buying a couple and watches the people now for a moment. reaching into hic pocket to turn off the music

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Did a person fall from the sky around he...?", he comes shouting, and then realizes who it is. "Oh hey, Franklin! What's up?" He then realizes, the way Franklin is gathering himself, with the help of Nessa, and deadpans. "Uhh... Poor choice of words?"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Aaah, gotcha, you're someone important," Nessa says with a tone of amusement. "Well, I think you might have managed to get away with no one taking a picture of your fall." She looks around as if to check, but raises an eyebrow at the mention of /gravity reversing/. "So, uh, maybe a car isn't the best idea. Kind of sounds like you're low on options other than walking or finding someone who can fly to help you."

She shrugs her shoulders a bit. "Maybe you should, at the very least, get out of the way of the fountain so no one knows it was you. Unfortunately I can't dry your clothes or anything fantastic like that, so you're out of luck there. You might want to warm up, though. I can't imagine it's comfortable being in New York soaked in fountain water." She looks over her shoulder at Caleb and looks slightly amused at the phrasing. "Nah, you're right on target there."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin is reasured, but as Caleb steps in and asks him the question he sighs a bit more giving Nessa a look. "No-one huh." and chuckles a bit. He nods to Nessa, and steps forward away from the fountain, "Yea.. Thankfully I am not that far away." he noted as he looks around. "And yea.. It is rather cold." he notes, "But I aint flying again." he looks at the sky the thought of falling again was too strong still. He looks at Caleb, and grins, "So we meet again? What are you doing out here?" as last time they were in a junkyard, but figures the next time they meet he is falling through the air.

He takes a few steps back, and rubs his hands for warmth.. "You wouldn't happen to be able to fly could ya?" and grins with a chuckle as he was only joking not knowing if the person had anything at all.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen has a soft spot for helping folks, and will step over to the side out of the line of sight for most, and then there is a breeze as he hits speed, soon a Bootleg FF4 Hoodie is falling onto Franklin's shoulder, as he is just a blur of red and white, and makes his way back away and back, so he can step back into site a moment later eating his pretzel.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Dude... If I were able to fly...", Caleb interrupts his trail of thought as a blur streaks by and leaves Franklin something for him to wear, "...or sprint to mach trillion, for that matter, you think wouldn't have abandoned my earthly concerns by now?", Caleb replies cryptically.

Looking at Nessa he says, "Hi there. I'm Caleb."

Back to Franklin, "Okay, so how did that come about? Your mojo going wonky or something? Does that happen a lot with the frequent flyers?"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"You're out of luck, I'm afraid. My magic's kind of limited in that area. I can, however, give you a nice ice slide if you wanna skate home," Nessa says with amusement, though there's a tone in there that sounds like she's somewhat serious about it. She looks towards Caleb, offering a small nod.

"I'm Nessa. Nice to meet you both, even if it's under weird circumstances. Hopefully one that doesn't involve /more/ falling." She does blink at the blur and appearance of a hoodie. "Seems something's going your way at least."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin is standing as a knock off hoodie falls upon him. He is thinking did I do that, as making a shirt appear out of nothing was not out of the list of possibilities. He looks at it and puts it on taking his off to wring out the water. He smiles a bit looking at Caleb, "I don't know honestly with no-one around I am going to say yes, as I was telling my new friend here." he nods to Nessa. "Things haven't been working right since.." he smiles a bit restricting what he was going to say to "The other day."

Franklin was a trusting sould so it was good Bart was a good guy as he just puts on the hoodie that has Sue on it, but it is a mid-sneeze picture they had put on the hoodie. "It's Slobberin Time!" was the quote. Franklin looks at it with a smile, as he figured out what his mother was going to get on Mothers Day next time. Then he shivers again, and a bird that was flying stops moving, and falls hitting the ground to shatter.

Franklin looks at where it hit. "Oh.. poor thing." he notes looking at it sadly then back at the others. "I really must go. The longer I am out here." he gives them both a frown, but with a nod as he sure they understand. "But we will meet again." he says as he starts to move away waing at the two!

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb Dykstra can't help but frown when he sees the bird shatter, "Wha...?" He looks at Franklin; now, he wants to ask what happened the other day, but his instinct tells him that a couple paces or five - or maybe ten - backwards are paces towards safety. So, he takes them first, and then asks, "Why? What happened the other day, man?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen frowns as well. He seeing this, he will step away and then zooms back up, this time as Impulse. He looks over at the bird and shakes his head a bit and says "Your needing to get away from people and things so you don't freeze them Mr. Richards?"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa looks a bit alarmed when the bird shatters on the ground, then she looks back to Franklin. "Yeah, maybe see if someone can help you with that. Trust me, I know how that is... I just at least knew what I was getting into, and it was certainly not dropping out of the sky or making someone else do it." She looks between Caleb and Franklin before nodding to the latter of the two. "Hey, be careful, alright?" She pauses at Caleb's words. "Something bad happen?"

Her gaze turns to Impulse as he zooms over, then looks to Franklin. "Sounds like you might have your ride..."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Already stepping away he looks up, and around for what hit next. "It isn't freezing as you know it. The rules are changing." he says though he holds up his hands for him to stay back. He looks around a bit back now, "I am sorry I have to get out of here.. now." as an answer to Caleb though avoiding the question of what happened. He nods to Impulse. "No.. Don't touch me. Please." he asks the speedster as he didn't know what would happen. He stops and closes his eyes.. "I got this.." and holds a hand open, infront of him. The air gets colder as the breeze picks up to the point where the leaves are blowing though it isn't that bad. As he opens one eye he looks and says "Comon... work." and tries again this time the water shooting up from the fountain stops, just hovering in the air, but a small dark cloud appears infront of him.

With a smile as he opens an eye again, he looks back. "I am sorry for causing trouble. I really must go." he has to talk up as the wind from before is starting to get stronger the air being pulled as he looks over at the speedster.. "Thank you for trying to help." and then he takes a step back into the black cloud, and is gone. As soon as he is gone the wind stops, and everything being carried by it falls, as the cloud disapears.

above the Baxtor building a black cloud opens in the sky, and out falls a Franklin Richards landing with a hard impact, but alright as he had made it away from everyone he rushes to his isolation room so that his powers stop effecting the things around him, or at least what they could effect would be away from others and safe!

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb sighs as Franklin vanishes into the black cloud, "Okay, man! Thanks for dropping by, let's do this again sometime, eh?" He audibly d'ohs, and shakes his head. "Goddammit, too soon..."

Looking at Nessa, "Okay, well... I'll see you guys around, I guess." It is also meant for Impulse.

And he leaves, wondering just what the hell happened. "Seriously... Does this happen a lot in New York...?"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa's expression is concerned as she watches Franklin head off, waiting until she can't really see him before she looks away. She offers a tiny smile to Caleb. "Right, well, good luck. Hopefully the rest of your day goes better than his." She looks to Impulse last, then shrugs helplessly before she goes back to her walk. Yep, that's New York for you.
