In a dazzling, singular moment!
Date of Scene: 29 April 2020
Location: Pugsley Creek
Synopsis: Alison meets Singularity who is surely real. They exchanged numbers and that's proof of life!
Cast of Characters: Alison Blaire, Singularity

Alison Blaire has posed:
More and more Alison has been growing curious about her powers and what she can do when she puts her mind to it. With that in mind, the singer has hiked out away from the school to a nice wet area that's shielded enough she may not draw too many eyes.
Headphones on, music blaring, Alison takes a moment to absorb some of the sound and think through her plan. After a few minutes the mutant Dazzler begins to "warm up" with some basic flashes and dazzles in the tree tops, pushing her imagination as far as brightness and color go. It's takes a fair amount of focus at first but she wants to see if she can do more at once.

Singularity has posed:
Since it's practicing new things, it might not immediately stand out when a bluish dot winks into existence in front of Alison, shimmering for a moment, amid the other flashes and dazzles.

It gets a bit more obvious when it abruptly expands into a petite, blue girl with a *POINK* as she comes barreling out of thin air. "ALISON!"

Said girl promptly attempts to....well, frankly, it's a glomp, as she's floating in midair when she attempts to hug Alison tightly. "Found. You!"

Alison Blaire has posed:
Lower the the effect, add more lights. Alison is so honed in she doesn't notice until the blue light expands into a blue figure. But then her name is being called and she's being clung to.
"Ah! Woah!" She calls out as the lights blink from existence. She tries to get ahold on the girl clinging to her so she can pry herself loose. "Look, do I know you or something?" She asks, sounding a little alarmed to be jumped by the creek like this. An excited fan perhaps? Future child like Jean? The horror. That idea is quickly shoved away. "Who are you?" She wonders, trying to ease the girl off herself.

Singularity has posed:
The girl is suprisingly light...but then, she's floating, so there's probably some sort of gravity cancelling going on or something like it! She doesn't resist as she's pushed away, though she looks a bit sad for a moment. "Alison. Doesn't remember?" She sighs a bit, settling to the ground. Up close....she's a bit odd to say the least. For one, she sees to be more the impression of a girl in blue stars than fully human. She's lacking a lot of physical details for one...fingers, but no toes really. No details below her neck other than the impression of curves, enough to make her look feminine, save, for some reason, a belly button. Her hair seems to just flow out of her head, a wild mass of it, her eyes filled with white light with no real pupils or...even eyeballs really.

She bobs on her toes for a moment, still seeming pleased and a little excited. "Alison. Safe. Is okay." she says, smiling at the other woman. "Even. Not. Remembering." She tilts her head, then points at herself. "Singularity. Is. Here!"

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Umm...yeah. I'm safe." Alison agrees and looks around the creek suddenly. "Why? Is there a reason I wouldn't be?" She wonders and looks back to the girl-Singularity. "Singularity. I'm sorry. I don't know that name." She admits and looks a little embarrassed about it. Dipping her head a bit, she steps back to take a better look at her companion. "I don't think I've ever seen you before either. But you're sure you know me?" She wonders and bites at her lip as she puzzles how that could be.

Singularity has posed:
The blue girl nods as if she's sort of expecting that answer, rather than looking more bothered. "Yes. This Alison. Never seen. Singularity." she agrees, clasping her hands behind her back as she continues bouncing on her toes. "Different. Version. Of Place. Time. No one. Remembers." She points to herself. "Just Singularity." She seems to have to pause occasionally like she's parsing things in her head before she speaks, giving her an odd word to word way of speaking. She offers a hand. "Good. To Meet. Again. For first time."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Oh. I see. Someone from a different...timeline?" Alison considers that. "I guess we must have been friends then." She reasons and nods a bit to herself. Sticking out her hand she grins at Singularity. "Well, hello. I suppose we ought to be friends here then. You have a killer look!"
Crinkling her eyes, Dazzler really takes a chance to look the smaller girl over. It's a little wild, but that greeting felt so genuine she doesn't see any reason not to believe Singularity.

Singularity has posed:
"Yes!" Singularity says, taking the hand and shaking happily. "You. Jennifer. Carol. Medusa. Nico. Dazzler Thor." She pauses. "Like you? But smashy. In Arcadia." she confirms. "Under Doom." She cocks her head cutely. "Not here. Now. Changed. Different. Back. To right course." She lets the hand go after some enthusiastic shaking, floating up off the ground a bit. "Alison. Different here. Happier?" she says curiously. "Upset. Before. Different hair. Rollerskating!"

Alison Blaire has posed:
"I roller skate!" Alison protests after the exuberant hand shaking. Watching Singularity float up she sighs. "Ah. I wish I could fly. My boyfriend-Angel-he's a great flier." She shares and considers the question. "But yeah, I am happy. I'm writing a new album, definitely not smashing things though I've been wondering if I ought to start learning how to fight better."
Gesturing to the creek, Alison looks to Singularity. "That's why I'm out here. I can throw my lights around and not bother anyone." She explains and then adds with a bit of a grin. "Well, besides yourself I guess." Her eyes wander the tree line again. "You said we teamed up with Thor, and Carol, and Jennifer, and Medusa, and Nico? I don't know a lot of those names. But I think I've heard of Thor and a hero called Carol Danvers. Those are some pretty big deals. I don't have that kind of power."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity nods excitedly. "Alison. Did!" She backs off a bit and mimes getting in a position like she's rollerskating with a super fierce scowl on her face, miming bumping people around her as she "skates" in midair. "Fierce!" she proclaims. Apparently rollerderby was involved? She lands back on her feet, tilting her head. "Album?" she adds curiously, then corrects. "Dazzler Thor." She points at Alison. "You. Were. Thor. WORTHY." she says, emphazing the last word. "Another you."

She grins. "Yes! Carol! Have not found. Yet." she admits, frowning. Probably because Captain Marvel's got a lot of stuff to deal with and zips around, making her harder to pinpoint. She shakes her head slightly. "Alison. Strong." she says firmly. "Heroine." She flexes her arms! Not much of a bicep to show off, but it's to make the point!

Alison Blaire has posed:
Sounding a little incredulous, Alison shakes her head with a small laugh. "I'm a singer. I write music. That's why I'm here-at Xavier's. To get some fresh air and try to write a new album. I mean, and get help learning about my power but-Thor? Are you sure you mean me, Singularity?" She asks gently, wondering how different this other Alison must be.

Singularity has posed:
The blue girl nodnods firmly. "Yes. Definitely!" she insists, floating over. "In different place. Thor. Dazzler Thor. But heroine. In either." She reaches out, tapping over Alison's heart. "Strong. In here." She smiles trustingly at Alison. "Same."

Then grins excitedly. "Did not sing! Write. Music?" She seems fascinated by that idea. "What. Music?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
Flushing, Alison smiles at Singularity and nods. "Ah, point...taken. I write pop music. Mostly. For my new album I'm writing a song about falling stars, and one about being true to who you are-I just came out as a mutant so it seemed like an important theme to address. Did I really not sing when you knew me? That's...sad. I love music." She shakes her head a bit. "I'll have to play you some of my older songs..."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity floats over to a nearby rock, perching on top of it so she's more at Alison's height, then nods, frowning as she tries to find the right words. "Did not sing? Was different, Arcadia. Were protector." She mmms. "Did not sing then. Can sing now?" she says hopefully. "Like that. Hearing music. Music. Is fun!" She beam a little, then tilts her head. "New mutant?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Sing now? I could." Ali nods and points to herself. "Am I a new mutant? No, but I hid it and tried to ignore what I could do for a while." She draws a breath and studies Singularity. "But I want to change now, and do more. I want to be a protector." She agrees a bit before drawing a breath. "I can sing a little for you. Are you ready?" She asks and raises a hand. The pond fills with soft, glittering orbs. Dazzler draws a breath and sings one of her older songs for Singularity. It's love lorn and hopeful.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity nods. "Singularity. Here. To be protector. Heroine. Like friends. Like heroes here." she says, pointing at herself. "Here to learn."

At the offer, Singularity nods excitedly. "YES!" she says, leaning in intently, resting her chin on her hands and her elbows on her knees as she listens intently.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Singing, Dazzler moves her hands and makes the lights swirl and dance around them. They brighten and dim to match the energy in the song. It's clear she loves it, the control, the whirls and curls of light that swirl around them as she sings. Once the song is done, she reaches up and runs her fingers through her hair and squints. "Do you hate it? It must be different..." She looks to Singularity and lifts her brows hopefully.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity perks up at the lights, looking enraptured, as much by the energy put into it as the effect as she grins, watching as Dazzler puts on her performance, then applauds furiously at the end, then giggles. "No! Music. Is wonderful. Alison. Is good singer." she assures, beaming at her. "Liked it!" She mmms. "Music. Is fun!"

Alison Blaire has posed:
Blushing, Alison smiles happily. "I like it too." She agrees with a nod. "More than anything. So it's what I've been doing for years. But, lately I thought-it's probably time to do more, give more of myself to help others and not just perform." Gesturing to Singularity she looks at the girl. "Like you. We could learn together maybe?"

Singularity has posed:
Singularity floats off her rock to land in front of Alison. "Can try!" she says cheerfully. "Have not sung. Before." She looks curious. "Can make. Colors?" She seems to concentrate, holding out her hands out to her side, before an aurora of light springs off her, shimmering like the Northern Lights around her, little motes of energy swirling through them slowly.

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Oh! Yeah! I can do that! That's gorgeous!" Alison smiles brightly and watches Singularity for a bit longer. "So...what can you do? You look like star light." She observes and slips her hands into the pockets of her pants idly.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity lets the lightshow fade as she cocks her head, bouncing on her toes slightly. "Can go. Anywhere. Singularity knows. To people. Singularity. Knows. Take myself. Others. Things." She thinks for a moment. "Can protect. People. In me." she notes, pointing at herself. "Fly. Sense...changes? Signatures. Energy." She points a finger, the little glow running over it for a moment, like a flashlight. "Emit. Energy. Light. Radiation."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Oh. That's a lot! You are powerful!" Alison smiles and considers the answer to her own question. "I only know how to make light and holograms so far. And sometimes release the sond I store for energy." She explains. "So you can imagine how wild it is to think you know me as this-Thor level person who sounds way more badass."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity gets a slightly unsure look. "Alison. Big lasers! Have seen. Sooooooo big." She holds out her hands wide! "Lots of sound. Big lasers." she says confidently. "Moving pictures also!" She considers. "Punch really hard!" she adds to that list of things she apparently believes Alison can do!

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Big lasers? I scorched an empty soda can once..." Alison looks dubious now too. "Maybe it's something I could work towards. That sounds pretty epic." She gives Singularity another look. "You...have a home don't you, Singularity? Here I mean. This Earth. Have you been here long?" Already her wheels are turning as she considers the alternatives if she hasn't.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity ponders that a bit. "Home? Arcadia. Was home." she says slowly, a bit uncertainly, looking like she's trying to puzzle out how to explain something. "No...home? Not like Alison. From outside. This place." She waves her hands around, apparently just...taking in everything?

Alison Blaire has posed:
"You live outside, so you don't need to live in a box-err, building, like I do you mean?" Alison asks and starts to slide her phone away. "Arcadia. Was it beautiful there?" She asks and keeps her focus on Singularity.

Singularity has posed:
"Yes." Singularity sighs, her gaze far away for a moment. "Very pretty. All women. Great heroines." she says, clasping her hands behind her back, then furrows her brow as she thinks, apparently parsing things out again. "Do not live. In building." she confirms. "Do not need. To live in building? Stay in office. Of Jennifer. Taking subpoena. To people!" She frowns. "People. Do not like. Subpoenas."

Alison Blaire has posed:
Laughing, Alison shakes her head. "No! No they do not. My dad's a judge here. I almost made the biggest mistake of my life and followed in his footsteps!" She admits and looks at Singularity. "So. This Jennifer...she must be in the law field somehow." Considering that, Alison crosses her arms under her chest to ponder. "But you aren't alone. That's good. I was going to see if Warren had space to let you stay-I'm sort of between homes right now, so the school is fine but-if you needed a place I'd have to hustle on that house hunting!" Her eyes crinkle a bit and then she processes what Singularity said. "Wait, it was a place with only women? Far out..."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity gives a thumbs up! "Yes. Am good. Couch. Is comfy!" she says cheerfully, then nods in confirmation. "Yes. All women. All heroines. Jennifer was baroness. Ruled. For Doom." she says, her lips turning down as she thinks. "Also Lady Loki. But was not good." she says firmly, if a bit sadly. "Protecting. Great wall. From zombies."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Zombies? Woah! Yeah. We definitely don't have zombies here." Alison blinks and shakes her head. "So...all of us female...umm, fighters stood in for men like Thor and Doom? Well, it could be worse." She shrugs and looks relieved. "I'm glad you had a place to stay. I was a little worried."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity shakes her head slightly, explaining. "Thors. Many Thors. Thor Corp. Served the will of DOOOOOOOM." she says, enjoying drawing out the last! "Many broken places, connected. This place. Better now." she assures, nodding a bit and beams! "Was worried about Alison too!"

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Oh. Well...wow. That sounds pretty wild." Alison blinks and gestures to herself. "I'm good. Happy, and safe here. I might even be a hero...eventually." She circles back to the start of the conversation. "But I should head in soon. Is there a way I can...contact you? Do you have a phone?"

Singularity has posed:
The blue girl perks, then reaches up...and into her chest. Rather than being a Kali MAAAAARR moment where she pulls out her heart or something, she seems unbothered by this, and there doesn't appear to be any damage to her, her arm just merging with her chest, before she pulls out...a cellphone. Not a very expensive one, but it works! She offers it to Alison. "Here! Number." she says cheerfully.

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Whoa! Don't hurt your-oh." Alison goes from alarmed to surprised and lets out a relieved breath. "You have a phone. Perfect." She reaches out and enters her phone number in before calling it so she has Singularity's as well. "There. Now we can reach each other." She gives the girl a warm smile at that, sliding her phone away.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity nodnods, taking the phone back, then just tucking it away in her chest again. Huh. "Yes! Can call." she says, all smiles. "Singularity. Can find you. Anywhere now too."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"That's great! I'll help you learn about this Earth if you want. We do have troubles but...not zombies. Bigots...and villains-but they're all alive, as far as I know." Alison offers and tucks her hair behind her ears. "I was so glad to meet you. I really hope I can live up to the protector you remember."

Singularity has posed:
"Alison will!" Singularity says confidently. "Would like to learn." She tilts her head. "Will come find you later? When not busy. Looking for Carol. Nico. Medusa." she admits. "WAnt to be sure. Are safe. Happy."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Happy." Alison agrees and backs up a little. "At least one of us believes in me." She murmurs and looks towards the lake. Looking back at Singularity she nods her head. "Good luck. I'll try and keep an eye out for them too for you."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity waves, raising her hand. "Always believe in you." She says firmly, smiling sunnily at Alison. "See you soon!" And then shes shimmers and with a *POINK* and a blue flash...vanishes like she was never there.
