Date of Scene: 08 March 2023
Location: 02 Offices: Triskelion
Synopsis: Alexander tells Daisy about what's going on with Ares and how it might impact SHIELD.
Cast of Characters: Alexander Aaron, Daisy Johnson

Alexander Aaron has posed:
One hallway in the Triskelion looks like any other hallway for the most part. So few things are different from one white and metal hallway compared to aonther white and metal hallway. Though this particular one the young Agent Aaron knows a little more than most others. He walks down its length with an easy step, wearing that black uniform though his helmet is off and tucked under his arm.
As he strolls he casually holds a small white piece of paper with little black emojis on it. Stickers of some kind as he casually undoes the backing while he strolls. Until he reaches his objective. He turns, then casually slaps a small ':P' emoji in the white space under the room number for this particular office. That done he pockets the stickers and then lifts a hand to rap his knuckles on the closed door.
For a moment he pushes a hand through his hair, adjusts his grip on his helmet. Then waits.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Yes. Daisy has an office. If one can imagine such a thing! But with her increased responsibilities it also means she needs a space of her own to .., you know, handle bureaucracy, or whatever people do in their offices.

Right now though? Daisy is eating, because if there's a second breakfast there should be a second lunch too. It's only fair. Besides, she barely has time to go anywhere. "Come in." mouth full voice. And when the door opens there she is.

"Hello, Alexander." she gestures to a chair, "Sit." she offers, "What brings you to my parlor today?"

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"Hey." Alexander says at first in greeting as he shuffles inside.
She can read from his body language something's preying on his thoughts. Like it was those years ago back in Happy Harbor where she was playing the role of a guidance counserlor, now it was rather similar. Oh the setting had changed, the circumstances as well. But one can almost see the echoes of that past as he stepped in and smiled a little. "Agent Johnson." His lip twists, likely knowing that she prefers the use of her first name.
"So..." He says as he walks across that small distance, then pulls out one of those chairs opposite her, settling into it. "There's this thing I should probably bring to your attention. It is a thing that doesn't require action. Not yet at least. And it might not even be a thing. But could be a thing." He says in that entirely too easy-going way of his.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Eyeroll follows suit at being called Agent Johnson but Daisy doesn't correct Alex, just gesturing at the seat and then resuming the important tasks she was doing. Food. She even leans back on her chair some but at least she's candid enough to not put a food up on the table. Gotta be an example.

"Okkkaaaayyyy..." For a moment Daisy thinks this will lead to more reports but then she arches a brow as Alexander sorta tiptoes around the issue. Sounds personal. And she voices just that, "Sounds personal." her tone gaining a more serious demeanor to it.

"Tell me about this thing that could be but isn't." She then suggests, "Shall I call it the schrodinger thing? Since we don't know if it's something yet or not?" she smirks.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"Indeed, the thing either is or is not, but can only be determined when it is directly witnessed and the wave funciton is collapsed." Alexander offers in casual reply, his smile a little distant but then warm. He tilts his head to the side, those pale hazel eyes meeting hers as he looks thoughtful for a time.
"So. You know my father. He is doing the mortal thing. He does construction work. And he was voted to be a union rep a few times. Right?" He waits the oh so brief moment to get a nod or some indication he should continue, likely when she's in the middle of chowing down even more.
    So he does so.
"Well, when you do enough union work for a time in Manhattan and Jersey you can sometimes come to the attention of... guys with crooked noses and violin cases and things like that, right?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Construction work? Union?" At least Daisy has already swallowed that particular piece of food so there's no choking at that. Ares on construction? "Think you forgot to mention it last time we spoke." another smirk. But she knows Alex doesn't like talking too much about family. She almost literally had to pry some of it out of the young man when she was still at Happy Harbor!

"Criminal families? Uffff..., Kingpin?" She knows a bit about the underbelly of Manhattan with living in Hell's Kitchen now and helping a certain blind vigilante. She makes a face, perhaps imagining Ares to be getting ready for a bloodbath.

"This sounds like it's more an actual thing than something you aren't too sure may blow up." A small frown, "What's going on, Alexander?" her tone now more direct.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
Alexander laughs a little, "It's in my file..." Then his eyes lift a little, "At least I think it's in my file. But yeah. Construction work." Though it's fair, he often doesn't speak a lot about his family. Not exactly a high point in his esteem he feels.
Thens he suggests the Kingpin might be involved and he shakes his head, "I don't know. I mean, I don't think so?" He sits up a little in his chair, not resting against the back, though he does pull his left leg into his lap, resting his hands on the ankle thoughtfully. Almost like a yoga posture.
"But the gist of it is that while doing his job, my dad ran afoul some people supposedly from the Maggia." He lifts a hand to rub at the back of his neck. "Something to do with them wanting to run a real estate scam. He said nah, and they got annoyed. The scam fell through and it cost them a bit of money. So now..."
He looks to the side and ponders, then looks back. "They've sent some death threats to him anonymously. To the union. Local #427." He uncurls a hand toward her, "So it's a thing that he's dealing with. But... how it could become a thing for me, and thus through me to you. Is that he's getting a bodyguard. The board won't budge on it. Something to do with taking a strong stance against organized crime and legal ramifications if they don't."
Which has him smile, "So like, under normal circumstances, hilarious. He doesn't want to lose his identity as John Aaron so... he has to play along." Then he takes a deep breath. "Thing is they made threats against his family too. Which might mean at some point..." He lets her fill in the gap there.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Not since last time I looked at it." Daisy points out about the file. There are some secrets that even SHIELD doesn't know. Or maybe it's a clearance. And that makes her narrow her eyes. Maybe she will have to do some hacking. But first things first! Liks listening to Alexander talk about those problems. Her eyebrows arch the further Alex speaks of it. "Ok, for a moment I thought he was going to spill blood through the streets..., but that would ruin his cover." she agrees.

Still, it's a lot. A bodyguard for Ares though? That just makes her snicker. "They are going ..., to have a bodyguard to a freakin' God..?" it just doesn't evolve to a full on laugh because she knows something more is coming. Alex wouldn't be here to tell her a good joke like if this if there wasn't a catch.

And what a catch.

"A bodyguard for you?" She frowns. "Well, this changes things." she leaning forward, food set aside, "We don't really like civillians prowling about. And let's not forget the Secret Warriors. Emphasis on the Secret part." she thinks on it, already pondering on solutions. "We could get someone undercover as a bodyguard to be hired. Or .., we go deal with these maggia. What angles are you looking into so far?"

Alexander Aaron has posed:
When Daisy gets that light in her eyes and he hears the ghost of a snicker he uncurls a hand to her, "Exactly, it's... pretty great. I'm imagining either like, some gung ho guy from the marines trying to talk down to him or something." But Alex takes a breath and grins a little, "So yeah. That I think isn't that big of a deal, but I think it'll be... interesting."
And when she gets to the point of asking about a bodyguard for him he nods at her slowly as he points at her. "Yeah, exactly. I mean, I think they have no idea what I've been up to the last few years. I imagine their records say I'm still in college." He tilts his head to the side, "So they don't have an idea about the SHIELD thing."
The young man pushes a hand through his ragged mop of blond hair and then he sets his helmet aside on the seat next to him. "I'm going to try and work the investigative angle, see if this is even really a thing. But if I do end up with a bodyguard is it worth the expense to try and infiltrate someone into whatever agency they hire?" He rubs the back of his neck, "Might have more luck creating a fake company with one of our people as the operative. Charge the board the same price and tell them we prefer to work with this other group who is willing to do it? But I don't know."
