Date of Scene: 15 March 2023
Location: Johns Pizza
Synopsis: Jennifer Kale meets yet another vampire (Amelia).
Cast of Characters: Jennifer Kale, Amelia Au Claire

Jennifer Kale has posed:
After a test, Jennifer Kale decides to treat herself to pizza to celebrate. It's not that she felt she did especially -well- on the test, but it's more a celebration that the Earth wasn't invaded or she got sucked into a time vortex before midterms.

The blonde sorceress sits in a booth with a good view of the front door, a beer on the table along with a partially-eaten pizza with a lot of topping, both meat and veggies.

Amelia Au Claire has posed:
Why, exactly, is a vampire approaching a pizza place? Well, honestly, she's just walking after the sun has set. She likes to, it fills her time and, well, a girl has to eat, but it's too early to hunt. So she walks.

As she approaches the pizza parlor, intent on passing by, something makes her slow and stop. Her head tilts slightly, and she peers through the open door. Strangely, right at Jennifer. She can feel the mystic power and, honestly, Jennifer can probably feel hers. Sorceress and sorceress. Will eyes meet?

Jennifer Kale has posed:
When the redhead pauses outside to look in the window, Jen can sense it. She pauses mid-bite, and their gazes meet. The slice is lowered a little, the blonde offering a small smile.

Inwardly she's not surprised. If mystical trouble is out there, it somehow manages to find her. All. The. Time. Maybe this will be just a pleasant, social visit?

Amelia Au Claire has posed:
For the moment, Amelia has no desire to cause any trouble. Trouble means she might not eat. Trouble means there might be hunters, and she's just not in the mood for that today. Not one bit.

The redhead saunters into the pizza parlor, unphased by the tasty (to others) smells. She crosses towards the booth, and slides in gracefully and primly, belieing her youthful image. "It's not often that I meet someone Talented in a place like this," she says, almost reflexively using coded language because, well, vampire.

Jennifer Kale has posed:
Jennifer Kale's nostrils flare, and the scent of her power is unmistakable. It's also significant. "I go to school nearby." she replies. Lifting her pizza slice, she adds. "No garlic except a little in the sauce. But thank you for coming in to chat..." Jen leaves out the word 'peacefully', but it's still implied.

"I always enjoy pleasant company. And I'm sure that it's going to be that way."

Amelia Au Claire has posed:
The garlic does make Amelia feel uncomfortable, but she's not touching that pizza, so it's fine. As it is, if the sauce touched her, it would probably be incredibly uncomfortable and burn her like a sunburn, but that's about it.

"Pleasant company is...well, not hard to fine. I find it nightly, but pleasant company I wish to -speak- to more than once is difficult, yes," she says. Her mask hasn't slipped yet, she still projects the image of a happy, fun, party girl. It's slightly at odds with her words, but, well. That happens.

"So, to be blunt, where do your skills lie? I know all of us are different."

Jennifer Kale has posed:
Jennifer Kale lowers the pizza again, carefully wiping her fingers with a napkin. She smiles at the reply, and certainly gets the unspoken words as well as the spoken ones. This isn't her first time talking to a vampire.

"First of all, how about proper introductions." she replies. "Jennifer Kale. I come from a long line that traces its roots back to Atlantis." Yes, THAT Atlantis. And she doesn't flinch at the reference, either.

Amelia Au Claire has posed:
Ah, yes. Introductions. Amelia should have remembered her manners, but living in the mindset of the party, that names don't matter, only the shared experience. The fun. The excitement.

This is not that place.

"Amelia Au Claire," she replies, dipping her head ever so slightly. "A pleasure." She does pause at the reference to Atlantis, leaning forward ever so slightly. "Interesting. Very interesting. I, well, I suppose have invented my own...craft. Using the power inherent in ... my people to fuel it."

Jennifer Kale has posed:
Jennifer Kale tilts her head at that, watching the young-looking redhead with a different eye, now. Assessing. Curious. There are spells she would -like- to cast, of course. Spells that would help to satisfy her curiosity.

But this is not the place for such things.

"Au Claire. French? Creole?" she wonders aloud. "You are old, that much I can tell." Jen declares, and she means it as a compliment.

Amelia Au Claire has posed:
For a vampire, such things are a compliment. After all, she doesn't look a day over twenty two. And she will do so for eternity. There are perks to never seeing the sun again.

"French," she says with a smile. "Though, is this truly my name, or an alias I change every few decades to evade the notice of ... those who would do me harm?"

Jennifer Kale has posed:
Jennifer Kale chuckles softly at that, shaking her head. "I don't wish to harm you, but I won't let you harm me either." she replies, almost casual in her surety. "I've always been one who prefers information shared out of trust to an interrogation, too. You're cagey and evasive, but I get that. You haven't been around this long by accident."

Jen considers for a moment. "Would you like to go somewhere that we can talk more freely? My apartment isn't far." Of course she wouldn't trouble the vampire with asking her own abode.

Amelia Au Claire has posed:
Mortals of any stripe don't belong in Amelia's abode. Besides, she's fostoring a fledgeling now and, well, they're messy creatures. Always so hungry and excited but unable to properly regulate yet. "There is that. The free exchange of ideas is one of my favorite things about the modern world. And I have no desire to harm you. I don't really want to hurt anyone, though it comes with the territory."

She tilts her head slightly, considering. "As long as the rules of Hospitality are followed, I would love to."

Important rules. No harm between the guest and the host. No overstaying welcome. The host is the lord (or lady) of their castle and therefore the law.

Jennifer Kale has posed:
Jennifer Kale understands the rules of Hospitality, certainly better than the modern woman in her 20's would. "Agreed." she replies, beginning to pile the leftovers into the pizza box.

"As your host, it would be my pleasure to welcome you as my guest." With all the rights and responsibilities, duties and requirements, etc.

Jen slides out o the booth, picking up the pizza box and dropping a few bills on the table for a tip.
