Cast of Characters: June Connor, Tommy Monaghan, Jane Roe

June Connor has posed:
Three hours ago, Jane, June, and Tommy hadn't met. A third party contacted people who knew how to get ahold of them and had asked for their help on a job. Some kind of data heist. The data was sensitive, and it wasn't for them to know what exactly it was, but the target was Michael Rent. He wasn't a nice guy. Drugs, trafficking, embezzelment, you name it, he has his hands in it. He kept his operation small enough to avoid the notice of most heroes. He wasn't knocking over convenience stores, and he was always dealing in the most discrete ways to keep many people outside of the underbelly of New York from knowing.

Yori Yogurssen was the on who hired. Also not a nice guy. But maybe not quite as bad. He claimed he wanted to upset Rent's business and get him caught by the authorities, but he needed something to incriminate him first. So three independents were requested. Not a team who had worked together before. It kept them more dependent on his information. Yori's man had explained it about an hour before. It seemed like a suspicious set up to be sure, but also a situation where it was a little hard to back out now.

Tommy Monaghan has posed:
Tommy Monaghan kind of tuned out some of the details. He didn't really care about motives or even objectives. It was a computer job and that meant other people would be handling those aspects of the job. He's there to do the heavy hitting: take out people who get in the way quietly, blow the hell out of the place if things get noisy. Get the nerds - okay, the nerds were kinda hot this time, but STILL nerds - in and out unscathed and with the stuff they came to get.

He puts his clips in and screws a silencer on his spare pistol, dropping it in the big pocket of his longcoat before double holstering the heavy autos. And if Yori had something else on his mind, well, then, he hired the wrong hitman.

Cause Tommy Monaghan can read his dirty little mind and if he's being double crossed, he's gonna know it.

Jane Roe has posed:
Vermilon had spent the time since the target was known to sleuth the net for who Mt. Rent was. Dig up his aliases, his known adresses to meet, his facades... at least those information that the internet and its dark twin was giving up willingly. And of course, getting the building's last floor plans and wiring diagrams as picked up by the inspectors. She was gone maybe 10 minutes to get the stuff printed, then returned with the plans for the others to study.

"This is the alleged storage location. Police station is 4 minutes away as the crow flies, but traffic statistics - thank google - predict 15 minutes at this time and we can extend that by shutting down one of the traffic lights. Not sure how long a team from the competition would take though."

June Connor has posed:
June looks at the sheets printed out, chewing on a piece of gum that's been in her mouth too long already. "So um," she comments once the handler has left. He didn't seem to have any direct intent to doublecross on his attention, but there was definitely a sense that he was instructed to keep out some kind of information from the team.

June continues, "This guy is kind of a dick," she comments, adjusting a black bag on her right shoulder. "Might be fun. Pay is good at least." She taps. "If we get in at the west entrance here we could probably come up on the service elevator. Nobody ever fuckin' watches those cuz the cleaning staff and shit complain when the muscle is underfoot all the time. And they sure as hell probably aren't gonna give a damn about security. Just gotta get in that way though."

Tommy Monaghan has posed:
Tommy Monaghan lights a cigarette and takes a seat, leaning back as he peeers over at the displayed map, "Cops are close, but they ain't gonna be in no rush, not to that building. They know it ain't nothin' but scumbags shootin' scumbags, ain't no honest citizens there. And cops are big pieces of shit, so they ain't gonna be in no rush. I'd add ten minutes just to get them off their coffee-sucking asses," he says.

"But the plans good. I'll escort you twos in, maintain cover, keep it quiet as long as we can manage. As long as it's quiet on the way in, I don't mind shooting our way out, if we gotta. I do recommend wearing kevlar, though. It's always the right friggin' choice."

Jane Roe has posed:
"Service crew entry, wearing stuff like the cleaning crew... one sec... can't be too many that offer service there. Shall I order a fitting van? No wait, better idea... cable company." Jane in the guise of Vermilon offered, pulling up the different areas up on the toughbook, then a file with credit card numbers to add a charge to one of them. "Bingo... Verizon... You got a 100 bucks cash in pocket? That should get us the service truck and the coveralls for an hour or such."

"So cops are out of the picture... we get a transport in. You're the expert when it comes to security, so... Kevlar and quiet. How many guards you expect?"

June Connor has posed:
June smirks. "If I was him? I'd probably do two here," she points at the parking garage. "Plain clothes, spread out where they can see each other." She points at the loading dock. "Definitely two right there, somebody to check creds of whoever's comin' in. Cameras there, one in the lot, all the electrical means the security office should be..." she starts sifting through the pages, trying to determine where the actual security office is likely to be located. She flips back again, wrinkling her nose at it. "Fuck if I know, somewhere." Very helpful.

Tommy Monaghan has posed:
Tommy Monaghan smirks right back at June, "Sounds like you know what you're doin'. What'm I here for?" he teases.

"If you want me to shoot cameras, lemme know. I figured you could disable 'em all fancy techie like or some shit," he says, taking a long drag at his smoke.

"In and out, clean as we can, ten minutes or under, provided nothign goes sideways, yeah?"

Jane Roe has posed:
"I'd hardwire the secrurity office to the cameras, no Wifi. But more often than not, they ae cheap and use wifi anyway. I suggest we cut internet to the house in the junction box and appear a little later to *fix the issue reported*. They expect people then, and get us up to where the actual computers are on their own. Also keeps their internet alarms silent." Vermilon notes, tapping a little on the machine. F F F F F F F F... "I think we need twelve if we include them waving us in."

June Connor has posed:
"I need someone who can get shot at instead of me," June quirks a tease back at Tommy. "Somethin' always goes sideways. Like. Always." Maybe its her. "So quick exits will be here, and here," she points at two corner windows. "What's on the other side of this?" she asks, pulling her phone from her pocket to bring up an internet map of the area. Her phone screen is cracked, looks like it got smacked pretty hard against something. "If the net is down, it does help get us in without people wondering. Everybody will know what they need. As long as the real Verizon doesn't show up. How do we find where it connects to the house?"

Tommy Monaghan has posed:
Tommy Monaghan snorts, "Luckily, it ain't that easy to sneak up and get a shot on me," he says. X-ray vision and telepathy will give you an advantage in those sorts of situations, not that Tommy advertises his abilities. Better to keep hish powers on the down-low unless strictly necessary. Plus, it lets him have fun with his X-ray peeps without making anybody mad.

"Sounds like a plan. I ain't dressin' like no cable guy, though. Them jumpsuits chafe.e"

Jane Roe has posed:
Jane Roe says, "That's ghe genius part: we pay the actual van to lend it to us. They are notorious underpaid. And then, the target shows us their router willingly because we ask nicely." Vermilon notes with a little grin. "Ahw... well, then you need to grab a clipboard and follow us around with a clipboard for... uh... monitoring performance or something.""

June Connor has posed:
June frowns. "That actually isn't half bad," she says, getting the Google maps of the location. "Uh, looks like there's like, construction of something in this picture," she says. "Three years ago, so whatever it is, it's likely built now. Probably some fancy car garage or somethin'." She turns her phone to face the other two. "Okay, so we ready to fuck shit up?" she asks.
