Emma Frost has posed:
It isn't as if Xavier's keeps tabs on every member of their staff, guests, or students at all times. People have lives. Those lives frequently take them away from the mansion, even if they live here.

But that doesn't mean if someone goes missing that it won't be noticed, eventually. Friends may swing by someone's room to gab, and no one is there. Texts to grab coffee go unresponded to. Scheduled meetups, workouts, brunches are missed.

The Xavier's clan and their assorted friends and pseudo-family are a tight knit bunch, after all. And though they have lives, much of those lives revolve around each other to at least some extent.

Warren Worthington had a party Friday night, in the city. Hank McCoy attended briefly, and left early.

He has not been seen since.

Roberto da Costa attended with his girlfriend, Stephanie Brown. He stayed fairly late, and left with her to take her to the hyperloop.

He has not been seen since.

Julian Keller went out Friday evening to go clubbing in the city, in defiance of Scott Summer's orders to not go out alone.

He has not been seen since, nor has his Instagram been updated since a Friday night selfie of him with what is quite probably indicating he was drinking underage with a fake ID. Well, you know. Teenagers, right?

Gabby Kinney had gone for a run (as she has been known to do) Saturday morning early.

She didn't come back.

It's Sunday. Texts are going unanswered. Calls are going straight to voicemail. The usual haunts are empty. Beds haven't been slept in.

Social media isn't being updated.

There's something critically wrong.

Of course, it may not be that people are entirely aware yet. Not everyone is close to everyone else, so they may only realize one person, or another, is missing. Worry may only be starting to well up. Notes, after all, have yet to be compared.

Yet.

    ...Yet.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Walking into the mansion, Alison has her guitar case in one hand and is on her phone. "Hey 'Mers, I didn't see you at Warren's. Call me back, I have some serious gushing to do." She says cheerfully before hanging up with a sigh. Alison looks at her phone and nibbles her lip a bit before heading towards the stairs.

Laura Kinney has posed:
5r
The door opens, and the thud of boots on the floorboards heralds Laura's arrival, the teen dressed all in black and carrying a large duffel bag whose movements hint at the mass contained within. She's dressed in dark grey and black, hair pulled back in a braid to keep it out of the way, and the particularly attenttive might notice faint red smears on her knuckles. Overall, the vibe she's giving off is best described as intense. ...More so than usual.

Julio Richter has posed:
As he takes the stairs down from the dorms, it's obvious that Julio has only recently finished a shower, or possibly a swim -- his dark hair is still carrying enough moisture to separate and stick up in chunks from a rough towel-dry, and there's a droplet or two snagged in his stubble. He's wearing a light blue tank top, gym shorts, and cheap sandals, and when he hits the ground floor, he turns toward the kitchen to grab some lunch. About halfway across the foyer, he slows as the door opens, then offers Alison a wave as she comes into view. "Buenos días," he greets her, then pauses as Laura follows her in. He definitely notices her intensity -- it's hard to miss. "Uh. Hi. Is everything OK?"

Illyana Rasputina has posed:
Some people live outside the mansion's world more than others keeping to its friendly skies and grounds. Under a cloud of political turmoil, Scott's interdict to stay home and stay safe only tightens the disparity. Illyana defies a good example for students while upholding her triple life outside the sprawling school and friendly environment. A silver-fire stepping disks blossoms into the lobby not far off where Jubilee's lemonade stand caused such intense disruption earlier in the spring. Not just her emerging from the portal to furtively saunter off to her room -- which she might not even have officially -- either. Others exit first into the foyer before she does, eyes glowing and hair limned by the incandescent glow. A spark dances on her pinched, gloved fingers, possibly preparing to tear another hole in space.

"Who else, Piotr?" she asks of the much larger Russian, banishing the portal. Someone might get a brief glimpse into a small, neat room in the meantime.

Alex Summers has posed:
Outside the front door, there's the rumble of a car engine, which in and of itself isn't too suprising. People do come and go, those who have cars.

It does hit the brakes a bit more loudly than normal, the engine cutting off and a door opening and slamming. And right on Laura's heels as she comes in is Alex. He looks...rumpled. Not that he's incredibly tidy normally, The slight rings under his eyes suggest he hasn't slept yet...or in a bit hard to tell. He practically comes barrelling in, only breaking when he sees Laura's in front of him, then promptly changing direction as he spots Alison.

And in what is perhaps indicative of his state of mind, he promptly goes around Laura like a running back headed for the ten yard line, locking on immediately. "Alison! Alison, have you heard from Emma?" he says.

And the tone of his voice is...desperate and worried. "Have you heard or seen her since yesterday?

Alison Blaire has posed:
Sliding her phone into her pocket, Ali turns and looks at Alex with surprise. "No...I just left her a voice mail. I was hoping to follow up with her after your guys trip...is everything ok Alex?" She asks and walks over to the stairs, leaning her guitar case against the railing. Seeing the others she starts to get the sense that it isn't.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
One of those others that emerge from the silver portal is a certain Scotswoman. And....Rahne steps into the foyer with her eyes closed, arms crossed as if holding herself. It isn't until her normally bare feet touch the familiarity of the foyer's flooring before those eyes open...and the arms drop....and Rahne breathes a sigh of relief.

"Ah get that yer in a hurry....but give a lil warnin' next time." Those green eyes of Rahne glance back towards Illyana....then slowly play out to the rest of the foyer. It...seems there are a few others congregating too. "Oh...." Realization dawns upon Rahne...the situation is more serious than what she thought.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr is one who accompanied his sister, still deep in thought. He had gotten word from her about the missing students and had elected to join her hunt. "I do not know. I do not have ideal plan for hunting them down, as it is a large city and easy to get lost in. I just hope they are all right and that this is just coincidence." He is in a t-shirt and cargo shorts, because it is now summer. He then ponders and shakes his head to Illyana, "I am at a loss for plans at this point." The larger Rasputin is still processing the whole thing, on top of teleporting from point A to point B.

Jamie Madrox has posed:
A bare foot Jamie steps from the portal carrying a pair of sneakers, Illyana having been in a bit of a hurry to check in on as many people as possible. He's in jeans and the green and gold t-shirt he always seems to be wearing. He's either got dozens of them or he washes them frequently. Hopefully. They never seem to smell though. He looks around at the crowd and comments "Looks like someone stepped on a wasp's nest."

Julio Richter has posed:
Illyana's entrances are always a spectacle, but they seem to have a bit of an extra effect on Julio. He shuts his eyes and leans away, putting a hand over one ear. It almost looks like someone has set off an air horn too close to him. Once the disk closes, he recovers with a quick shake of his head and whatever was affecting him passes.

"Whoa, hold on -- what's happening?" He puts up his hands as if to abate the increasing sense of alarm in the room. "We're hunting /what/ now?" He looks from Piotr to Alex, trying to catch up with whatever has certain people here so upset.

Laura Kinney has posed:
"Gabby is missing." Taking a seat in a chair, Laura opens the bag, its contents revealed to be assorted tactical gear and weaponry. Lots of it. "She did not come back at the usual time, or respond to texts. Her phone's GPS was non responsive, and when I followed her scent trail an unknown chemical agent deadened my sense of smell." She starts to strap gear onto herself, and begins to populate a thigh panel with throwing knives and a still for now empty holster. "I have a few suspected targets that I will need to investigate."

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison looks to Piotr and Illy as their group comes out from a portal and over to Laura. "Ok...wait. Alex, you haven't seen Emma. Gabby-" She nods to Laura. "Who else is unaccounted for? I just left Warren's, so he's fine I think." Though she pulls out her phone to text him hastily.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex closes his eyes, then rubs his face. "...no. No, it's not alright. We were supposed to leave on our trip last night. She was all excited about it, she texted me she was leaving, then...nothing. She never showed at the airport. She didn't leave any texts or phones...when she missed the flight I thought she got caught in traffic, or her phone was dead or...something, but..."

The younger Summers starts to pace. "I called her company, she wasn't there. I called her place, the doorman says she never came in after leaving with her luggage. I called the Hellfire Club, they haven't seen her. So I called the cab company she took. Alison..." He looks lost. "Allie, the cab never arrived. They don't know where it is. The cabbie, the cab, Emma...everyone! They just...they vanished!"

James Proudstar has posed:
Not just one, but two mountainous fellows emerge from Illyana's portal, as James Proudstar, too happens to be the third passenger on that trip. He looks...angry. Not like, -furious- angry but definitely not happy.

"If they were taken in a high-traffic area it's gonna be hard as hell to figure out who might have taken them."

He catches Alex's explanation, murmuring, "So it's not just us." Presumably meaning folks at the Mansion. "Stryker and his fanatics, maybe?"

Illyana Rasputina has posed:
"That accounts for Tabitha and Doug." Illyana's voice has a wintry distance, possibly from the frosty gloss of Limbo left on her. "That leaves Scott, Alison, Paige, and Bobby. And Stephanie, Roberto's girlfriend." Naming them off one by one in a role call, her precise diction has a bit of a crackling quality to the ear. "The rest of the teachers if we expand a wider circle. Has anyone called Jean?" This question falls in general. She takes her bearings of the foyer and nods lightly to Alison and Alex. "Da, there are two more. Ms. Blaire, you are quite all right? Has anything odd happened to you in the past few days?"

Julio's question hits the mark clearly enough, and she watches him pointedly for a moment or two. More specifically the area around him, but with eyes glowing blue-white, it can be hard to tell. "Roberto is out of touch. So is Gabby, as Laura said. With that we can confirm several people are not where they would be found. Their apartments are unoccupied, and Dr. McCoy's lab is empty. I can look elsewhere as we need."

She tilts her head a fraction, scouring... something. "Warren held a party. Many people not found now were at that party. It stands to reason to track down everyone who attended and see their disposition. Those who have disappeared went somewhere. I doubt it was to an underground two-day bender." Teeth show, slightly pointed. It's not a smile.

Laura Kinney has posed:
"Purifiers are a possibility. I have also considered Alchemax or Facility fronts, but that is less likely due to the others missing. Julian could have been collateral with Gabby, but this many? It is somewhat less likely." A second thigh panel, second holster, and more throwing knives are procured.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Reaching out, Alison rubs Alex's back lightly. "Hey look, we'll find her. I'm glad you're ok Alex." She tells him soothingly and looks to Illyana. "What are you suggesting? I was at Warren's all week. Nothing odd happened and the only people at his party were from the school, or people from the school's dates. If anyone knew about it, surely they would have hit the party directly?" She wonders and looks a little distressed. "Where's Henry? He left early, he might have seen if anything was off."

Jamie Madrox has posed:
"I know most of the clubs you could spend a couple day or weeks in and never leave if you've got the cash." Jamie says as he walks over to the staircase to sit on a lower steps and start putting his sneakers on. "I could check them out. Know a bunch of the bartenders so they'd probably talk to me."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr frowns and nods to Illy, and then to Julio and Alison, "A few did not make it back from the party. Roberto and Hank certainly were not seen." He thinks deeply and nods to Jimmy, "That'd be my guess. It's bold, but I would not put it past the fanatics. Some are probably out for blood at this point." He frowns and rubs his temples, "But yes, if anyone can contact the others, that be a great help."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Henry didn't go into Gotham? I know he has a friend he's been spending some time with in Gotham. Did anyone call him?" Alison asks and looks up from her phone. "Betsy and Warren are fine. They both responded. I haven't spoken to Jean in a few." She offers and considers. "Who can take this many people and be able to hold them though-assuming someone is behind this?" She asks and chews the inside of her cheek.

James Proudstar has posed:
"Keller hasn't updated any of his social media crap in over 24 hours at this point. Either his phone got busted or stolen or he's potentially a target, too." Jimmy observes, mostly by having checked on his phone. He may do virtually nothing on social media himself, but he does follow a few friends and acquaintances. And folks that fall somewhere in the gray area between, like Julian.

"Seems too coincidental to not be connected." He replies to Alison.

Julio Richter has posed:
People who have met Julio and have an impression of him as easily flustered might be surprised at how levelly he reacts to Laura dropping a bag full of lethal weaponry in the lobby of his school. Social situations can cause some awkwardness, sure, but someone he doesn't know barging in and strapping on tactical forces gear? That, he seems to take in stride. This is just what American education is like, right?

"I got home with Paige and Sam just fine," he says. "So that's at least two accounted for. But if that many people from this school have gone missing, our cover is probably blown," he says, with the leaden satisfaction of someone who has had a coveted personal dread proven justified. "The humans are coming for us." He looks from Alison to Illyana and suggests, "Speaking of Gotham... if we haven't heard from Roberto since the party, we should check on Stephanie. If she wasn't taken, she might have seen something."

Laura Kinney has posed:
"The use of the scent deadening chemical does make the Purifiers slightly less likely. I do not think they would have access to expertise of that level. The culprit is likely very familiar with our capabilities, and knows how to counter them." Gear continues to be donned. Fairly efficient and form fitting, maximizing Laura's carrying capability without inhibiting movement or flexibility.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
"Wait...wha? Gabby was taken?" Those green eyes shift to regard Laura, those emerald orbs reflecting the confusion Rahne is most certainly experiencing. Could it be because of the tactical gear being donned, or simply because of what Laura stated? It doesn't take long before Rahne shifts, looking away. "A chemical agent tae deaden the senses. That means someone was plannin' tae take her."

A frown slowly grows on Rahne's face. "How many are missin'? And fer how long?" There was already thoughts in her mind...maybe, just maybe, she can help track. In one form or another.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex squints at Illyana as she calms states things off. "Wait wait...other people are missing? People from the school? But Emma isn't a part of the school. No one even knows she's...that she's got powers. Except a handful of people...people here, maybe...she's been careful." he says, then rubs his eyes, his brow furrowing. "Did they all go missing last night too?"

Illyana Rasputina has posed:
The Russian sorceress shakes her head, negative response sketched in abrupt, efficient motions. "The pattern is too consistent. Warren is a known member of society who spoke out against certain people. They might have tagged all of us, if someone were watching the building. Wait long enough to get the right assets in order, and pluck them when they were alone. Nine million people around us, it is not that difficult to vanish someone."

That many words is more than she sometimes prefers to say in a day, but ends justify the means. She inclines her head a little, that hard smirk still in place.

Alison Blaire has posed:
"No." Alison shakes her head. "Henry and Roberto-from the party. Did anyone else from there go missing?" She asks and then looks to James. "Keller. Emmers-just recently, right Alex? So that's four at least. Henry is clearly a mutant, were the others out, beside Em?"

James Proudstar has posed:
"Julian's about as out as you can get while still looking human." Jimmy notes, "Berto's a little more discreet about that particular thing though." Not much else, but that particular thing, yes. "Don't think many people would know about Gabby but we might wanna have someone low-key check that school she's going to. Probably not a priority, though.

Illyana Rasputina has posed:
"Da, Alex, other people are incommunicado." Funny, she's more comfortable with Latin than English. Go figure. "When Berto did not respond, we went looking. I took Piotr, da? We found Berto's room unoccupied. Then Julian. Gabby. Berto. Henry did not answer and his room is empty, as is his lab. Warren has not been seen. Emma has not been seen. I accounted for the first five. Ms. Frost will be the sixth," Illyana replies in succinct fashion. "We do not know about Dr. McCoy's girlfriend or Ms. Brown. Or Bobby, da? Someone should call him. So we are going to keep hunting."

She steps in a little closer to Jimmy and Rahne, her expression darkened a sliver. Not that it makes much of a difference. "We can report any traces we find. Julio, do you want to stay with them andcontact the bars or track with us?"

Laura Kinney has posed:
"I have been very careful about Gabby. She was on a run when she went missing. I can check the school if you wish. A potential student might draw less attention." Aaaand now she's loading magazines. Seriously, where does Laura get this stuff? Actually, probably better if you don't know

Julio Richter has posed:
Crossing his arms, Julio ventures, "I could listen for tunnels where they aren't supposed to be." He gives Alex a glance. "I've been practicing getting a feel for what's beneath me, since we talked." He grimaces and gives a shrug. "It's probably too much to hope that that's how they have been spying on us, but it's worth a try." Without fuss, he's already leapt to the most catastrophic interpretation of the situation. He might only be nineteen, but what he has lived through hasn't made it hard for him to assume the worst. Looking over at Illyana, he lifts a hand and waggles it. "I'll go wherever I can help, or with whoever needs more people."

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
"Whatever we're gonna do, we best be doin' in quickly." Rahne speaks up, stepping up to be with her friends. "Ah don't care if there's some sort of chemical maskin' their scents. With Jimmy an' me, we stand better chances trackin' sooner than not." It is a not-so-subtle hint that she knows there is more ways of tracking a person rather than just by scent....and that James certainly has the skills...if not both of them together.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex shakes his head firmly. "Nonono, Emma didn't /go/ to Warren's party. It was thes same time as our flight. If it's the same...if this is connected, they didn't just grab people they'd seen at the party. They would have had to seen Emma /here/ to know she was part of that group. Unless they're just grabbing anyone associated...with...stuff..." He inhales, trying to focus his thoughts...from the look of it, it's mostly caffeine and worry keeping him going. He oins to Julio. "Yeah! Maybe there's like, spy stuff here...something...maybe...maybe if we found the cab Emma was in? They put GPS in those things, right?"

Jamie Madrox has posed:
Jamie moves over to stand next to Illyana, choosing to continue to track people down. "Anyone got a spare pistol?" he asks, looking notably at Laura as being the prime possibility. "Mine's in my office." NYC is kind of strict about carrying firearms around, especially unlicensed ones so he usually doesn't. Usually.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr has been listening carefully and turns to Illy, "That list seems complete." He is about to say more when Laura is loading magazines, "What are you doing?" His tone hardens. "Do not bring guns into this, at all!" His tone is harsh, unusually so.

Laura Kinney has posed:
Laura looks up, meeting Piotr's gaze unflinchingly. "Guns are plausible deniability. If we are forced to eliminate hostiles while extracting our friends and family, guns are not distinctive. Massive blunt force trauma in the shape of large hands? Parallel stab and slash marks? Energy burns? Those are all signs they can point to and say 'The dangerous mutants escaped'. I am going to find my sister, and I am going to do it the best way I know how. I am not going to let them hurt her."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"What can we do? We need more information. Emma's cab. That's a start, but-" She pipes down as Piotr focuses on Laura for a bit. "I want to help." She pitches in and looks from Piotr to Illyana. "This is the sort of thing I was hoping to help end when I came out."

Julio Richter has posed:
Julio glances over at Laura, raising an eyebrow, then looks over at Piotr. After considering both sides of the argument for a second, he holds up his hands, which are momentarily ringed with shuddering waves of green-hued energy. "If you do find them, let me know. Collapsing a building on their heads is also -- what word did you use...? Deniable."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Yeah, no. No guns. Not an option, not here, not ever," Piotr says, anger not veiled. "We do not kill. That is not an option for us. Do you want us to be like the monsters others paint us as?" He points, "You will get rid of those promptly. End of discussion. You want to help, you do it our way, with minimal violence, and no death." The large mutant is visibly angry at this point, "We will not stoop to their level. Not now, not tomorrow, not ever!" This is one of those rare moments Piotr raises his voice.

James Proudstar has posed:
"Last time I checked we weren't in the business of killing people to begin with, deniably or otherwise." Jimmy notes offhandedly. He's perhaps considerably more borderline on how closely he personally feels that particular tenet of the X-Men, but he at least applies some effort to it when stuff goes down.

Illyana Rasputina has posed:
"Guns in a place for children," Illyana replies in a soft tone, "where they should feel safe. Not an institution, not traumatized by a spectre of violence. Da, we can name places like this: Kosovo, Chechnya, Baghdad, Latveria, Yemen." Her eyes narrow by soft fractions, and the kindled spark of a portal tears open. White seething tendrils limned in a darker blue core, and beyond her silhouette, a landscape that looks awfully appealing. Wildflowers dancing in an alpine setting. "Throw them in there if you follow our path." She gestures with an absolute thinness. "Or walk out there ready to kill, but know we are not behind you in following that. Da, Jimmy, Piotr, Jamie, if you would? Rahne?"

Scott Summers has posed:
"What is going on, Piotr?" Asks Scott, coming out the office area at the left wing of the school. He glances, expression turning sour at the sight of the weaponry in such a bold display. "Firearms are not allowed within the premises," he notes.

It is not exactly true, they have a truck ton of weapons of all kinds in the lower levels, but those are inaccessible to people outside the X-Men. There is a very strong rule not to have weapons around in areas where the students can see them.

Jamie Madrox has posed:
Jamie glances over at Piotr at the outburst then shrugs lightly. Nope, not going to argue with the big guy. "If I would what?" he asks Illyana, looking at the portal. "Go in there?" It's not just a place to put the guns? Assuming the answer is yes, he steps through it and looks around. "Pretty."

Laura Kinney has posed:
"Do you honestly believe that they would have a real trial if we arrested them? The people who kidnap children for their own ends are the same kind of people that made me. They are not afraid of the courts, or the law. If they are not stopped, they will simply go back to doing things like this, or worse." She stops her task, and starts tucking her gear away. "And as long as I am not hurting people for my own enjoyment, or killing those who simply want to live their lives? I am not on their level." The look on Laura's face right now is classic Howlett stubbornness familiar to anyone who's associated with Logan long enough. "I am not going to lose weapons where anyone might find them and misuse them. I will remove them from the school, then I will find Gabby."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex turns as he hears Scott coming, walking straight to him. "Scott! Emma...she's gone. A bunch of other people too!" he blurts out immediately. "Emma, Gabby, Hank...a ton of people just disappeared last night!" He watches his brother hopefully, a part of him just...hoping that nwo that his older brother here, he'll...fix things.

    Somehow.

James Proudstar has posed:
Jimmy and Rahne step into the disk, with the big Apache giving a slight smirk to Jamie, who to the best of his knowledge hasn't been through one of these before. "Buckle up."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Two nights ago." Alison clarifies, she's standing near Alex and chewing on her lip. "A lot of us. Help." She offers, ever helpfully. She looks to the others. "I'm in. Whatever we're doing. Alex is too. So-."

Julio Richter has posed:
Julio flinches back from Piotr's outburst, and not just from the considerable intimidation factor. He's certainly not going to bring it up now, but he can't help but consider that his own first dam-burst of mutant power had a high body count. And, at least in some people's eyes, that might make him a monster -- on the same or a worse level than the bigots who would threaten his classmates. It hadn't occurred to him, until just now, that some of those people might be right here at the school. He suggested killing the kidnappers casually enough a second ago, and he feels a quiet pricking of shame as he wonders if that DOES make him some sort of monster.

Illyana Rasputina has posed:
"We are looking for the missing, Scott. I asked her to put the weapons through the portal where I can assure you, on my brother's honour, they will not be found /or/ misused," Illyana says this aside to the man just emerging from his office. "Time is against us. We will make the most of it we can. Alison, Alex, Julio? Good luck."

This explanation of a hunt may be likely, but possibly dubious, considering the alpine landscape looks like Switzerland at its best, and maybe some of the students are jetting out for a bit of R&R in Grindelwald or one of those gloriously picturesque resort villages snapped by photographers the world over. Only its sky belies an unnatural nature: clouds form and swirl in a wrathful configuration, violet anvilheads spiralling into colossal formations. "Please," she asks Jamie, the request politely spoken. She steps backward into the portal, easy as that, and in a heartbeat there's a glowing sword almost as tall as she is in hand.

Scott Summers has posed:
"I am aware Hank is missing, he didn't got back from Warren's party. I have been looking..." discreetly, of course. He had not even told Piotr yet. That Emma is missing too is strange, since her relation to the school is faint. Gabby, Julian Keller, the others... he had not noticed due to being a weekend. It is typical older students would do just what teens do, despite his attempts to instill common sense on them.

"Hmmm, it could be Stryker. He might have managed to spot Emma visiting us despite our constant anti-surveillance measures. He has out-smarted us before," ponders Scott. But really, they are not going to talk about this HERE.

"Ms. Kinney, keep the guns out of sight, preferably out of the school. I understand you are worried. But we have experience with this kind of situation and working together we will have a better chance to find your sister." He turns to Piotr, "lets take this conversation to a more secluded area."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"What do you mean good luck? We aren't doing this together?" Alison asks as the portal opens. Her mouth just gaps for a second and she looks to Scott. "What can we do to track them down? Alex mentioned looking into the cab Ems was in. Is there any other way to find them? Find Henry?" She wonders and looks a bit distressed as the others vanish. "Let me help, Scott. Please?"

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"What is right, is right. The ends do not justify the means. Never. That is the road we travel," Piotr remarks, "Taking a life is something that must be avoided at all costs. We have a code. We live by it." Piotr looks to Scott, "As it has been noted, we have missing comrades, but, da. There is another issue here." With that he nods,"Da, a conversation needs to be had." With that, he moves into the staff room.

Alex Summers has posed:
As the argument over weapons...well, really, a pretty brief debate over it at best...ends and Scott ponders people who could be behind it, Alex's attention snaps back to him. "Who the /fuck/ is Stryker and why would he want to grab Emma?" Alex snaps looking between everyone, his temper fraying just a bit. In fact...it's a little warm in the room at this point. A subtle sign the younger Summers' control over his power is slipping as heat leaks off him.

Julio Richter has posed:
Turning away from the standoff between Laura and Piotr, Julio puts aside his misgivings and, after a second's consideration, kicks off his flip-flops, too. He's certainly no Toph Beifong, but it can't hurt to have fewer barriers between himself and the ground he's trying to listen to. He glances over at Alison and crouches as he answers, "If we split up, we can cover more ground. But if we're being watched, just leaving the normal way is probably a good way to get merked." On that cheery note, he places his hands on the floor, inhales deeply and slowly, and that shuddering green aura returns, this time ringing his entire body. He pauses for a second to glare at Alex. "Could everybody stop yelling for a second? Bad idea to startle me right now."

Laura Kinney has posed:
"A violent religious bigot who has been telling his followers that Mutants are the source of their problems. But do not worry. I am sure that the X-Men can talk to him and convince him and his followers to be nice and never hurt anyone again." She narrows her eyes, staring at the older mutants. "I have been fighting people like this for years. None of you cared until it was some of your friends who were taken. I will make my own way." Turning, she stalks out the door towards the car she'd inherited from her father.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison looks back at Alex and moves closer. "Hey, we're going to get her back." She offers soothingly and rubs Alex's back lightly. "Slow breaths Alex." She fishes out her phone to text briefly. "What if it isn't Stryker?" She asks and looks at Julian curiously.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex growls, then visibly pulls in a bit, taking a deep breath, before he nods curtly to Alison. He blinks at Laura. "What bullshit is that? I didn't say anything about leaving Gabby to whatever. If the same fucker has everyone, then splitting up is stupid. We can't compare notes or figure out what's going on as fast. And if someone grabbed /this many/ people? This is definitely not just a couple guys. And they'll be expecting people to be looking for them. Maybe even hoping they can grab more people that way."

Julio Richter has posed:
As Laura slams the door emphatically behind her, Julio nearly jumps out of his skin. And he's not alone -- half of the books, objets d'art, and priceless curios in the mansion leap off their tabletops and shelves as a sharp tremor rocks the entire school. Through gritted teeth, the nineteen-year-old snarls, "Que mierda -- What did I JUST! SAY!?" He stares around the room, piercing each face in turn with a glare. "Can the people in this escuela maldita stop fighting each other for /five entire seconds/?" He widens his eyes expectantly and cocks his head to the side, listening for any more bickering, before refocusing on the ground with a pinched look. "There is a lot of crap buried under this school, I need to concentrate."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Betsy might be able to help, she says." Ali looks up from her phone. "You know, feel for familiar whatever." She offers and looks at Julio with a baffled blink. "I never fight." She offers quietly and looks to Scott and Alex.

Scott Summers has posed:
Scott is not very surprised by Laura's outburst. Like father... well, Logan adapted, so there is hope. The main danger is she really thinks she is a match for Stryker. "Calm down, everyone," he demands.

Scott himself doesn't seem upset, just worried. "Come with me," definitely out of the lobby. "We will start with a Cerebro scan. Then James and Logan can do looking for clues and tracking down the missing. There are much we can do, and yes, there are other suspects besides Stryker. We will go over the list."
