Josh has been swamped for the last week really and hadn't really gotten a chance to corner Jubilee to talk to her about that crazy 'field trip' to Chicago. He still isn't entirely sure why he was dragged along, maybe as a native guide to stupid decisions and hate groups.

When you add that chaos to the chaos of approaching finals and the fact that he switched schools mid-year to Xaviers and the teachers here are either wierd, intense, crazy, or maybe all three at once. Well it has been a bit of a struggle to figure shit out.

Finally hitting a wall as he tries to catch up in math he just gives up, tucks his tablet under his arm, and heads to Jubilee's room knocking on it now. "Heeyo.. it's me."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubilee isn't hard to find after eleven on a school night.

Burger Joint closes at 10:55 and Jubilee is home by 11:30. Showered, changed into some pajamas, and sitting at her desk doing the homework for the next day. In this instance that's preparing for her Math final, which she is almost certainly going to fail.

Which is just par for the course really.

Jubilee is terrible at math. It cannot be overstated.

With the knock at the door, she peeks over and flips her notebook closed, "It's unlocked." Sounding distant. Leaning in her seat staring at the doorway when Josh comes in.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Lets himself in and shuts the door behind him. "Math too huh?" he shakes his head full of remorse.

The tablet gets dropped on your bed and he meanders over to hug Jubilee unless she firecrackers him or something. Hugs are nice hellos as far as he is concerned. "I am so going to fail my math final... I don't think the school I was in and the school here synchs up really well and god that is going to fuck me in the end..." he sighs "of course that could be said for pretty much all my classes.. this place is serious next level compared to the public school I was in... I wish I was a telepath so I could just cheat or something."

He peers around her "How is your math going?"

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubilee isn't big on affection, usually, but Josh has a special position in her world. So when he comes in for the hug, she relents with little complaint... a few seconds in she does tap his gut with her knuckles, but she hugged him, so that has to count.

"I've been here for almost all of high school, so I'm use to it. I don't really know that being a telepath would help much since everyone else is a telepath, though. I'm sure Jean has some kind of safe guard against digging the answers out of her skull or she'd be a really shit teacher."

The question about math has her looking to the notebook and shrugging, "I'm going to fail, but it's not for failure to try, so fuck it."

Fine.

This works for Josh. So what if he is the affectionate softy in the relationship.

"Well yeah I mean Jean and that Professor dude sure... but all of the teachers are telepaths. I'm pretty sure. Maybe." he pauses thoughtfully there and then steps away and flops onto the bed with his tablet. "Mood." about Math. Dread Math. Dread High School.

"Do they ship people away who flunk out... can you flunk out." he just uggns unhappily and then turns his head to peer at Jubilee "Did you know there is a super secret black stealth jet here at the school?" yeah Josh isn't good with secrets, not at least with Jubilee.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubes slides out of the chair and comes over to the bed to flop down beside Josh, resting on a pillow of her hands linked together at the knuckles. "Nah, you can't flunk out, they'll just get you a tutor. If you're lucky, it'll be with Hank.. if not, you'll spend a few hours a day with Scott."

Not that she dislikes Scott. He's swell, but learning math from him?

She nods to the question, "The Blackbird, yeah." She's been here a while, been training to be an X-Men and everything, though she's hardly part of the team because stupid rules about 17 year olds being X-Men got her removed after approval. "You get to ride in it? Super insane right? Who flew?"

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Hank does seem like he would be a better tutor than Scott."

"I had no idea it was even here... I mean shit that thing is ridiculous." he just stares at the ceiling of the dorm room for a long moment.

"Guy named David.. well he and Kitty seemed to be in charge really. I only went along because Kitty and Rogue thought someone might get hurt.. Rogue called me Medkit.. which is so not a good codename for the record." a sigh.

"There was this hate group on a campus in Chicago.. they were going to publish the names of all the mutant kids and suspected.. also the teachers. The really odd quadrul.. you know I have no idea what you call it when there is so many twins.. the blonde girls went too. Everyone really had it under control. I was like a backup I guess in case there was rioting or violence and people got hurt."

He mmms "the plane is fantastic though."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Ahhh the Stepfords, yeah." Jubilee shakes her head at mention of the quintuplets, "They are hella freaky right? The way they finish each others sentences and are all fucking telepaths? So weird... and I give people here the benefit of the doubt because we're all mutants and shit, but god damn.. can we all agree that the Stepfords are the quintescential weird shit?"

Seriously, who would even play those fucking freakshows?

It takes a special kind of narissist to think that's a good character concept for a shared universe.

I'm judging you Stepford players.

Be even weirder if it was a group app.

"I love the blackbird. Use to go down there just to stare at it, but I did some flying lessons and everything in one of the simulators."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"They are hella wierd yeah. I meann. I don't even know the odds that someone would give birth to that many quintuplets?" he is still trying to nail down both how many there are and the right name for it. "And have them all be telepaths. I can't imagine being the other kid in that household for sure... "

"It would probably be like that one old twilight zone they play on New Years during that old people channel marathon."
"There are flight simulators?"

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"It's a quintecipulatops Rex." Jubilee, ever helpful, gives Josh the name for five twins.

"Probably a serial killer." the other kid in that family, that is.

"Mhm.. down in the basement level. You can basically simulate whatever you want in the danger room, but there's also dedicated flight simulators for learning to fly everything from helicoptors to the blackbird."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Well serial killer or in an asylum I imagine... I can't imagine five sisters like that growing up. That would be mental. Literaly."

He considers "God... I can't imagine anyone who actually tries to date any of them. They had us in the mind web for the mission and they just are all linked up all the time thinking to each other. That would be super difficult dating." he shakes his head very slowly.

"I had no idea we had flight simulators in the basement.. I've heard some other people whisper about the danger room. What is it?"

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Huh, they're way too weird to date." Jubilee's venom for the Stepfords is not yet exhausted. "Who would even want to?"

That aside, she rolls her head towards Josh and grins, "It's a hard light simulation platform used to test powers in team building exercises or combat scenarios.. Or to be pirates.. or whatever you could possibly even imagine. Seriously, there are some scenarios programmed in that are just nuts."

For example, "Rogue and me go down there to sunbath on the empire state building."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Someone who didn't know what they were getting into I imagine. It would probably be the last mistake they ever made dating though... become a nun or a monk or something afterwards."

Josh can play along with theorizing about the horrors untold.

"Well I wouldn't mind seeing you sunbathing and all...." he grins sidelong to Jubilee. "Hardlight.. okay this whole place is way more wild than it seems on the surface. How do you get to use the danger room.. is it a special thing with only some teachers or something?"

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Hah, yeah.." Jubilee agrees without further elaboration on the horrors that is dating the freakshows.

Smirking at Josh saying he'd not mind seeing her sunbath, "You can see that anyways." She confides as if he wasn't aware, then looks up at the ceiling. "Once you get into ability classes you'll start getting danger room sessions. I don't remember exactly when it was, but you'll usually have a teacher with you. Unless you're Rogue, she gets away with everything."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"She does seem like the type to get away with everything. She sort of seems unstoppable really.. though I heard she can't actually touch or kiss anyone or they die on the spot." yeah okay the rumor mill around the school is fierce.

"I wonder if it even makes sense.. ability class... I can't heal a hard light hologram thingee..." he sighs and stretches to set his tablet on the bedside table then rolls back and wraps an arm around Jubilee. "Well okay. Why empire state building and not a beach liike in the Caribean?"

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"That's ... mostly true. They wont die, but they might wish they were dead." Jubilee says of her best friend, whether that sentiment is shared between the two or one sided. "Put them in a coma, for sure." The Rumor mill is fierce, but Jubilee /is/ the rumor mill. She knows all and sees all.

Somehow.

"Because Rogue is a voyer at heart? I don't even know.. I don't do sunbathing much." Shrugging one shoulder up and rolling to drape an arm across Josh's chest. "You could heal one of us when the hardlight targets wound us, though. Especially if you're going to be on missions.. can't just stand in the back with your thumb in your butt, Josh."

Joshua Foley has posed:
He considers "Well coma is bad... though I bet I could heal someone out of a coma. Well if I knew what I was doing behind scraped knees." he smirks a bit and sighs closing his eyes just soaking up the feel of her there. He feels so much of her really the ebb an flow of her life.

"Okay point.. I didn't know the hard light could hurt people but I guess that is the hard part. I'm game to learn how to be useful and not get squished or shot or shit... count me in." because well Jubes and Kitty and Rogue think he can do it, so he will do it.
