Synopsis: SHIELD Quake beats Nazi Quake and Mockingbird learns to fly
Cast of Characters: Bobbi Morse, Daisy Johnson

Bobbi Morse has posed:
It's always a dark alley where the cries for help come. As it is this evening. SentiNet is a system of microphones spread across New York City originally designed to detect gun shots, but it was expanded to detect the sounds of alarm, of crying. Coincided with other signs of crime such as gunshots, it is linked in to a general criminal response network ranging from police all the way to SHIELD. You never know when these things can escalate, or who might be nearest to respond. Tonight, Quake receives a ping on her phone, as the alert is one alley away.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
It's been some reaaaal busy days for Quake, what with the changes in her own personal life, and then following up on a few cases, namely Gothic Lolita's hacking and what had transpired of it, trying to get back at Achilles for turning off their phone on her face and going through a few tweaks to try and figure out what they could do to get through the shadow fiend that was trying to take over Metropolis...

And so here she was, tablet in hand, beanie on her head, sliding through some images of GL's programming when she receives that signal on her phone.. Danger? And so close to her day off! But she is committed. So she swipes her tablet close, stashes it away and begins walking towards that call of danger.

Good thing she had decided to bring her gauntlets out. They might just be needed.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
The sounds of a woman crying, a crunch from a punch - you've heard those sounds before. You can hear at least two men laughing. The alley way would be lit but the lights have been taken out. "Come on lady you know what we want," one of the men says and the woman cries out again, "Let me go please!"

The two men are well built, wearing military boots. The three of them are almost staged in the middle of the alley way, a classic mugging and perhaps something worse underway. As you round the corner and take in what is to be taken in though, she's well built too, she's also wearing military boots, but she is absolutely bleeding from the punch. The two men are armed with pistols, one in hand the other with his in his waist band.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
The walk turns into a run, a frown. This won't do. She is almost set in going for the obvious, the classic mugging but .., there's something off, they are all wearing military boots? That makes her more cautious. She could approach and try to handle then on hand-to-hand but now she keeps her distance. Or some at least.

One hand lifts up, the gauntlet revealed from underneath. "Stop." she tells them, letting out a shockwave out of her hand. Powerful, turned towards the one that is wielding up the pistol in hand in an attempt to knock him through the alley.

But she keeps an eye out for the others too, both the supposed 'victim' and the other, trying to discern what is going on out here.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
As one of the men is knocked back on to the ground with an oof and a thud, the other one starts to laugh. He offers his hand to the woman and she take sit, rising back up. She wipes away the blood and licks it off her wrist. "Did you have to hit me so hard?," she asks her obvious partner. "Gotta sell these things," he says and holds up his phone to Quake. "Well well, looky what we got here.. Quake. We'll take it."

The speed of sound is a great deal slower than a super sonic rifle shot. The bullet pierces Quake's thigh, armor piercing it seems - only then does the sound of the gun shot from up high, echo through the alley way. It hits only muscle though, nothing serious - no arteries, no bone. Two more people approach from behind and close in the space.

"Look at you, we saw you, in your uniform. You think you own us, with your .. powers. You call us the nazis, you're the one suppressing freedom of speech," the man behind you says almost spitting the words with hate. "Eyeball shoot her again," he says in to a wrist communicator.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Great..., nazis. But the bullet hitting through her thigh makes Daisy gasp out, first in pain, then in rage at being shot. With her escape route being close it means this is time to fight. "No." she says, simple but firmly. This won't stand. So she unleashes, letting a shockwave expand out of her with barely any restraint, destructive, attempting to gain just enough time for her to find a good place to get out of the way of those rifle shots.

She still has to pin exactly where they are coming from. She clicks on a button on her phone, SHIELD agent in danger, a call for help.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
The parked cars streets away starts to cry out their sirens from the quake that Daisy causes. All five assailants lose footing and fall over, as do many people wandering the streets nearby. A bullet whisks just past Daisy as it seems perhaps 'Eyeball' lost aim in that moment too. The direction of the sniper seems to be five stories up, there's very little cover but if you hug the left wall you have a chance of avoiding their field of vision.

The five neo nazis rise back up off the ground. One of them literally cocks his arms as he goes in to a fighting stance. The woman wipes her mouth, the second man dances from foot to foot. The one behind you doing all the talking takes out a weird looking gun..? thing. The fifth fighter takes out a P90 from inside his coat.

The four fighters start to circle Quake, they don't seem to be looking to just outright kill you, or the guy with the P90 would have been shooting by now. "We need a good sample size, don't go easy on this piece of traitorous scum."

Mockingbird is trying out the prototype wing design for her suit. It's for gliding, but she's having trouble keeping from plummeting down. The problem, she has been told, is she doesn't have enough height. She takes a running leap from one building top and lifts out her wings to glide over to the roof of the next building. She lands and does a little jump of celebration, "YES!" -- her phone alarms 'SHIELD Agent in Distress - Agent Johnson'. Bobbi's eyes widen and she brings up the map.. five blocks away.... come on Mockingbird, you can do this. She steels herself for one heck of a test flight.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Left wall sounds just as good if Daisy can keep out of the shooter's field of vision. Five stories up? Fine enough. And seems it's time to get those fighting lessons to a practical conclusion. So she lifts her hands up in a fighting posture.

"I am just one girl. Sure you guys can take me man-to-woman huh?" she taunts, her smile showing teeth, even through the pain on her leg. But she knows how these nazi types often are. Letting their hubris take over and think they are superior. Overconfidence can be a thing.

She makes a 'come here' gesture with her hands. But she is more wary of the one with the weird looking gun, the talker. So that one has to go first.

It's the one she moves in to attack and hopefully disarm, dodging and weaving and attempting to avoid the other's attacks as she gets herself a little 'boost' from her powers to go high and come down on the man with a 'superman' punch.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
The man with the strange gun is holding it out pointed at you. The four look at each other and laugh. The taller of the men takes off his hoodie revealing buzz cut blonde hair. He cracks his neck from side to side and approaches.. as you fly away. "Good!" The man with the strange gun sees you coming though and moves behind the man with the P90, who takes the super punch and drops to the ground.

"Oh it's on!" The two men and woman charge in. The first man is easy to duck and weave from, but the other two aren't looking to win any knock out blows. Instead, each one grabs an arm and they grip tight holding you still. The confused buzz cut turns back around to face you and smirks, "Well looks like you've run out of luck little Quakey." He spits at you.

Bobbi takes a running jump of faith and spreads her arms out, the wing suit all that keeps her from falling to her death. The roof is high up, bu this is more important - Daisy. After a few moments of not plummeting to her death she pries her eyes back open and lets out an elated "WoO!," of amazement, then puts her training in to practice and starts to try and turn, but this puts her in to a bit of a free fall. She pulls herself up as she speedily flies the wrong way to the distress call, her heart racing.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Fine, no more holding back. And the guys holding Daisy down were nice enough to get up close and personal for her to be able to unleash out of her arms and directly towards them. She feels the power gathering up on her hands, focused through her gauntlets, pebbles on the ground starting to rise up from the ground, along with her own hair ... But this isn't simply a push back attempt. Rather one that is trying to knock the ones holding her down towards the surrounding walls of the alley to knock them down, hopefully.

"Luck..? There is no luck where SHIELD is involved. But you'll see." overwhelming odds, sure. But she trusts both her own set of skills and also that SHIELD always has each other's back. She will get backup soon enough.

Not that the wound on her leg is doing her any favors, making what would most likely be a simpler affair of knocking these people on their behinds through sheer martial skill a lot harder to accomplish.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi wasn't going to make that mistake again. She carefully turns around and starts to fly toward the alert.

The sudden build up of energy. The man holding the strange gun yells out with delight, "YES! That's it! Eyeball cover me." The sudden explosion of energy sends the two holding you flying back against the walls so hard the crack against the bricks, crushing them, then flop to the ground like rag dolls.

From the strange gun 'pssh' a hypo-injector ejects. The man takes it and presses it against his neck. "Yes.. YES.. now we will make you pay." There is a smattering of bullets from that 5th story window keeping you separated from the neo nazi and his strange weapon.

Bobbi sees the muzzle flashes from the 5th story and decides that is her best point of egress. The black clad.. flying (well, gliding).. SHIELD agent shoots through the open window with violent velocity, taking the shooter with her in to the abandoned room.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy's advance, after that satisfying crunch of nazis hitting walls and going unconscious is heard, gets stopped by Eyeball's shooting, keeping her back, arms immediately going up in a warding, defensive motion. She watches the gun but then her eyes widen up in realization of what just happened. It charges up with her use of powers? This is ..., disturbing.

Not that she loses that half-smirk, confident smirk from her lips. Sometimes looking confident is just enough to level the odds again. And she does hear that crash on the fifth floor, her own powers attuned to the vibrations about the building. Yes, backup was coming most likely. Who would it be though? Falcon?!

"Get ready to get your ass whooped, nazi boy." She rolls her neck and sets into a defensive posture, powers and skills at the ready. But she was expectant at what kind of power up was coming out of there, even as she began preparing a barrier to ward off the man's attacks.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
"For a new America, by the people for the people," says the self righteous neo nazi. He rolls his shoulders and you sense from him.. the thing you do, amplified through the weird gun he has. From it shoots a vibration just like you would do from your hands. You're ready for it though, you fire back - it's not the most impossible thing you've seen and so you entertained the idea that may be he could do this. The two shockwaves meet in the middle and he laughs, "You're useless now. Useless." His field starts to advance on you slowly.

"This is Mockingbird. 5th story shooter neutralised," comes the panting voice of Agent Morse over the comms line. You see her up in the 5th story window, a silhouette of SHIELD black, giving you a 'go for it' salute. The neo nazi holds one arm up with the other to stabalize the intense energies being emitted from the gun.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
The reveal that it's Bobbi up there makes her grin more widely even as the two shockwaves meet, a brief step taken back at the intensity. "Good to hear you, Bobbs." her tone now more confident.

One hand extends forward, gauntlet fully revealed. A frown. "You take power you do not understand." as both shockwaves meet midair. She has the training, heck she has been doing this for two years now, training and making sure her power was controlled, that she could focus it. And now someone attempts to take it away, specially not understanding the danger it can be to him and to the others about.

"It is a responsibility, not a tool for you to do whatever you want." She grits her teeth, taking a painful step forward, the wound on her leg felt but even so she doesn't stagger back, pushing back against the man. "Stop, for your own sake." she tells the man. She knows how destructive her powers can be if they also copy the side-effects. What could happen to the man. She intensifies her own push.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Buzz cut lifts himself up off the ground and shakes his head. He rubs his face until he's only seeing one of each of you. The vibrations starting to build wildly, so much so the air is visibly shimmering and the ground is beginning to quake again, building up. Glass in the windows of surrounding buildings shatter. Bobbi covers her ears and yells down the comms, "What .. the hell.. how is he doing that?" The two intense vibrations amplifying each other. The neo nazi starts to scream intensely as he pushes his gun forward, though small tears in his skin become visible. Your leg wounded, his body starting to rip itself apart as your shockwave inches back toward him. "NEVER! This ..will.. make.. America.. Great.. AGAIN!"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
This is not good. In truth Quake has never fought anyone that had anything close to the powerset she has. The consequences could be terrible if the powers match up and they find themselves in a lockdown. So it's time to improvise, both to people around them but also to the man's sake. They may be a nazi, but if there's a chance to save the man she will.

She has trained enough, and with a specific set of people that her powers aren't simply brute force but also more refined, a complement to her own fighting skill. So as the two shockwaves are meeting she suddenly pushes forward and jumps, diverting her own vibration down to the ground to fly up and away from the field emanating from the man. Mostly a jump really to dodge the power emanating from Nazi-Quake as she tries to go over his barrier and fall upon him.

A vicious elbow is preceding her though, hoping to knock the man right off if she can, letting out a shout of defiance as she drops in.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
The nazi shockwave hits the building behind where you were.. and the wall cracks all the way up to its top floor. Bits of brick and plaster fall to the alleyway ground, but the building itself doesn't collapse. Buzz cut picks up the P90 and aims it at you but he suddenly drops to his knees, drops the gun, then clutches a new wound in his chest. From the 5th story window, Bobbi is kneeling with 'eyeballs' sniper rifle aimed down at him.

Your manoeuvre in the air brings you around behind him with a firm elbow to the head. He stumbles a moment, turns pointing his strange gun at you.. then wobbles and drops to the ground unconscious. All six of the neo nazis are unconscious and the night is filled with the songs of building and car alarms chirping for attention.

"Quake are you alright?," comes Bobbi's voice through the comms. She stands back up in the window and then drops out over it, arms spreading out to let the wings catch the air and glide her down to the ground. Police sirens can be heard rounding the corner, rushing toward the epicenter of commotion.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
When the shockwave hits the building behind her Quake grimaces, but the consequences of letting this build up of power continue could had been a lot worse. She can only hope there won't be many wounded. But the satisfying crunch of elbow-hitting-head brings her back to the present. Just a brief wide-eyes look at the p90 buzz cut until they get a new hole in the chest.

She looks up at Bobbi and nods her salute before dropping down to a knee, breathing heavily, the pain finally catching up with her once the adrenaline begins to die down.

"I .., will be." she nods at the strange weapon on the ground. "They were using that to somehow copy my powers.." she says.

A glance up as Bobbi glides down to the ground. "New toys?" she smiles despite the pain.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi picks up the weird looking weapon and frowns at it. "Really. Copy your powers. Well that could have gone a lot worse." She helps Quake back to her feet and acts as a crutch. As for the glider wings... "I'd rather not talk about it," is what she says to that. She flashes her SHIELD badge as the police rush in. Bobbi explains to them about the guy on the fifth floor of the building across from the alley. The police arrest the unconscious neo nazis.. that one who got shot is not so lucky though. He pointed a gun at Quake and died for that sin. "Let's get you patched up," Bobbi says to Quake.
