Bart Allen has posed:
So, its been a little bit since Bart and Mary have...well, truth be told..spent some time to themselves. They usually were meeting up with friends (or friends of friends) or together in a place, yet distracted from each other. So Bart decided that perhaps it was time for that to change with a more original change of pace:

Date night.

Yes, Bart is a romantic who loves to keep the romance alive, but he had been texting Mary every single day and the spark (as far as he knows) has definitely remained. He gave he rthe time and the date, and he was in central park, dressed nicer than usual with a dark red polo shirt and some nice jeans with, of course, running shoes. His hair was slightly more done rather than the usual insanity its normally in, and he waits with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

Sheesh, call a guy nervous?

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Well, Mary has had a bit of a busy week. Between her job situation, and semester finals, and everything else? She's been burning the candle on all the ends as a result.

And that doesn't even count the fact that she got into the Titans on a probationary basis. Which is something she hasn't even mentioned to Bart yet either. Mainly because she wanted to tell him face to face...

So, well, date night! Mary is wearing a dark blue silk blouse, not her typical geekwear as she decided to be a bit dressed up (and giving no few glares to Billy and Freddy as she was getting ready, either). A modest black skirt, though she wears a D20 pendant around her slender neck as she can't help herself. Her hair hangs loose around her shoulders, and she smiles when she sees Bart, "Hey you!" Her smile widens considerably as she waves, making her way over towards him.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart immediately perks up when he hears Mary's voice, turning his attention to her and smiling widely at her. "Hey there, beautiful!" He calls back to her, approaching. "Wow, you look amazing tonight." Heck, she looks amazing every night. "I uh, got two things for you." He offers Mary a heartfelt kiss first of all. Not lustful, but passionate, if she accepts it.

If/when the kiss happens/is finished, he offers her the bouquet of roses. "Just because you're that amazing."

Bart smiles. He's so tempted to drop the L-word right there, but he hesitates and wimps out, instead smiling. "What's been going on? There's only so much to talk about over text and I prefer face to face."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, taking the roses, "Wow, Bart, these look beautiful..." She accepts the kiss too, mmming a bit as she lets the kiss extend for a few moments. Her arm slides around his shoulder, as she does eventually break the kiss.

"You //did// miss me." Of course, it's pretty obvious she missed him too, as she grins, "So, your favorite barista has a new job... manager of the Rise N Grind, in Tribeca." Her eyes seem to sparkle a bit at that, as she's definitely feeling pretty great. "Been doing some training for the job and working with the owner, plus settling everything at the Bean since I don't wanna leave them in the lurch, yaknow?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart smiles at the fact that she loves the flowers, but then the kiss happens and Bart's hands glide themselves around Mary's waist to full her close. Most likely some people are giving faces of 'aww' or just smiling at each other in public display of affection.

Children are probably gagging because cooties.

But, Bart smiles. "I can tell you missed me too, babe." he smiles, before his eyes widen as he keeps her in his arms (unless she moved). "You got a new job?! I don't think I've ever been there though. Been at the coffee bean ever since I saw a gorgeous gal who made the best coffee around." he winks at her.

"But man, a manager? Look at you rising up in the world. Talk about rolling a nat 20."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary gets a wry look, "All I'm gonna say is the decor is the owner's idea, but I think it's pretty cool." She leaves that to be a mystery, and slides her arm into the crook of Bart's, holding her roses in the other hand. "And... well, there's something else too."

She grins, keeping her voice down, "I joined the Titans, well... not //me//, but you know. Thunderbolt." She smiles wryly, "They don't know about the secret identity yet, and it's probational, but I helped them with the whole apes and dinos thing a few times, and they were impressed enough to offer me a shot." Natural 20 indeed!

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart smiles wonderfully at Mary. "Should I assume the decor is crash then, or is it feeling the mode?" more than likely, Bart's vernacular has -possibly- rubbed off on Mary to the point where she knows that Crash is equal to 'awesome, cool, amazing' and moded means 'sucks, bad, crappy, every other negative adjective'. But, all the same, he tilts his head as he hooks his arm with Mary's, perhaps even seeking to let his fingers play with hers in a flirtatious way.

His eyes widen at her announcement to him. "You joined the TITANS?!" his voice is like a loud whisper, so not many people can actually hear them. "Thats so crash!"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, "Right?!? I mean, it's just probationary but... yeah, it feels good to be part of a team." She smiles and kisses Bart's cheek, leaning against him easily as she chuckles, "And the coffee shop... well, it was shot out of the 80s. In a good way, I think." A soft laugh, "But well, it definitely has flavor, and the shop looks great. And... wow, it's just so surreal to think I'm going to be managing it!"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart laughs just a bit. "Probationary smobationary. Its still awesome that you were even permitted that! I hear they are high tier." Bart says with a bit of a laugh. "Man, my girlfriend is awesome." She kisses his cheeks, which turn beat red as a response and he smiles in a cute kind of way.

"80's?" eyes widen. "Wait, does that mean you're going to be dressed as the times? I don't know if this is the right term: 'Pin-Up?'"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary giggles, "No, but if you see me with big hair and zebra striped shirts you know why. I'm hoping the manager is exempt from the dress codes..." She grins, "And yeah, I am pretty awesome... but the best thing is I have an awesome boyfriend who's totally crash."

She grins over at Bart, with that, "Seriously, I don't know if I'd be nearly so confident to try half the things I've been doing, if you hadn't come into the shop that day. I mean it, you've made a huge difference for me, Bart Allen."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart laughs just a little bit, before he turns more serious when Mary starts really praising Bart for being who he is and for being the kind of boyfriend he is. He blushes as he slowly comes to a stop, looking Mary in the eyes.

"Neither would I if I hadn't met you in the shop. You make me so much better than I am, Mary. If I hadn't met you....I don't know where I'd be. I..."

He hesitates a moment, but he shoves down his courage.

"I love you, Mary."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary blinks, and looks... well, shellshocked. But it's not a bad thing, as she meets Bart's eyes, seeing that he means it. And then she flings her arms around him, kissing him firmly as she grins. It takes all of her willpower not to just shout the Word and fly up into the air with him.

As it is, she eventually breaks the kiss, and smiles, "I love you, Bart. Wow." She rests her head against his, "Total crash."

Bart Allen has posed:
Well, as fun as aerial uh...showcase of their love would be, probably not best to do it -here- at least.

All the same, Bart is a little surprised when Mary throws herself at him and gives him a firm kiss, a kiss he passionately returns as he holds in her in his arms when they share that beautiful moment together. They break apart at roughly the same time (because, you know, oxygen is important) and then he smiles at her. "Totally crash." he presses his forehead against hers, his freehand lifting to run through her long locks. "Most crash." he whispers to her.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles, "Definitely." She sighs contentedly, then plants another light kiss on Bart's forehead, "So... how have /you/ been? We've been talking all about me, but how's it going over at Happy Harbor?" She sounds rather curious, her eyes focusing on him as she keeps her arms around him, enjoying the closeness.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart is more than happy to just remain their in her arms, his hand stroking her back ever so softly as they speak. "I've been good. Homework, homework, and more homework. Spent some times with some old friends of mine, Superboy and Robin and...well." he shrugs.

"You, really. To be honest, there's no place I'd rather be right now than here in your arms." Bart whispers to her lovingly. "Unfortunately, I haven't joined any super groups, but I might have to consider it now." he teases her softly.

"Best decision I ever made."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, "Well, you'd be great with the Titans, I think. Though I'm just probationary, I don't think I can really recommend anything. And I don't even know if I'll cut the mustard... I mean, you know a lot more super-people than I do."

She chuckles a bit, "I mean, aside from seeing Spider-Man once, and then a couple of the Titans..." A shrug, at that, then she grins, "Though, I did meet Supergirl and she seems... really nice." A pleasant surprise, to be sure.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart chuckles a tad. "Really think so? Heh, maybe leave some bread crumbs for your boy or I'll try and speed-dial-" pun intended, as the pause would recommend. "Some of the leadership. Or just bring me in as a guest if you guys really need the help. Not like I'm getting any slower." he teases her softly.

"Besides, sounds like you're one of the popular kids. Though speaking of us having pleasant surprises, what are you doing tonight?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary thpts at Bart's mention of bread crumbs, "Hey, not like you need them from me... but if I can help I will, you know that." She grins, blushing a little bit at the mention of 'popular kids', "Well, first time for everything I guess... I mean, popular isn't exactly something I do."

At the mention of what she's doing tonight, she grins, "Well, I dunno, my really amazing boyfriend confessed his love for me, so I don't have any plans beyond basking in that for a while. What about you?" She gives Bart a curious look at that, one brow arching in silent question.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart smirks a little bit. "Likewise, Mary. If you need anything, I'll try to help. Even if its not within my abilities to do it." Bart makes that solemn promise to his beloved, though when she suggests that she's not usually popular, he laughs. "Wonder why, you're the coolest I've ever met." yes, Bart likes to rain compliments on his girlfriend, it comes with the job description of 'boyfriend'. Paragraph 2, section 39.

When she states that silent question or offer to him, and even arches her brow to do it, Bart blushes, before he smiles wonderfully at her. "Currently, my schedule is pretty clear aside from spending quality time with the girl who loves me in return." He holds her a tad closer.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, "Sounds like a good time to me. Though, you know, what we could do... since we've said it and all that. We could..." She pauses, and her eyes meet Bart's, and then she whispers, very softly...

"We could start a D&D campaign together." Okay, maybe not what exactly he was hoping for, and she knows it, but she's definitely thinking of what he likes, so that's something!

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart leans in, yes...yes please!

Mary suggests D&D.

But for some reason, Bart's mind makes that almost as equally awesome as...well, doing what lovers do. So he laughs. "We absolutely could. It'll be fun. We can invite like several people and start our own fandom. Dibs on the Rogue." He teases Mary softly, though he does part his lips anyway in an attempt to kiss her.

apparently he REALLY likes this idea. And her. Mainly her.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins and kisses Bart, then breaks the kiss with a smile, "Sure. Marie wanted to play, I think, we can get her in... I dunno if she knows some people, but we can definitely get a group going. I think it'll be fun." She chuckles, "We could get really weird and even stream it in costume or something. Wouldn't /that/ be something."

Bart Allen has posed:
THe kiss is rather lovely, even a little forward, but Bart breaks away when she does.

"Sure." he whispers to her lips, as if he's not much paying attention to anything else -but- her, and he chuckles. "Ooooo costumes could be a lot of fun. Not sure how I'd dress, though. Maybe we should raid EBay."

A joke, surely
