Synopsis: Helena and Elektra go higher this time. All the way up to the Roxxon building. Daring.
Cast of Characters: Elektra Natchios, Helena Wayne

Elektra Natchios has posed:
It had been a while since Elektra and Helena had met by coincidence on that rooftop in the city. Long enough that maybe there would be no further message incoming through that pager which had been left with Elektra.. But one night...

> Are you afraid of heights? Come to the top of the Roxxon building tonight, 10pm.

Roxxon building, which is to say one of the tallest buildings in New York, also one that has some of the tightest security due to all the shady business that goes on in there, and their connections to various crime activities, both in New York and more globally. Not that anything has been proven.

Elektra had been here quite a few times already, but normally on the inside, this time it would be climbing on the outside.

A mix of climbing ropes, suckling gloves for the glass parts, avoiding motion sensors.. Elektra was making her way up there, a large duffle bag on her back, wind on her face. She loved this, the danger and thrill of it.

Helena Wayne has posed:
Helena's response had been nothing but a ':)'. But all the same, she had made it to the building at the appointed time. The high security skyrises were her favorite as they required planning and forethought to scale, and rarely could one just grappling hook their way up the sort. It was the sort of place she sharpened her skills at moving undetected, and she sits at the top now beneath a security camera that has been quietly deactivated. Her feet dangling over the side.

She peers down over the side of the roof through the gap between her knees, watching Elektra scale the building with a lopsided smile on her face.

"I was starting to think you'd never call ... "

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The sound of those sucking vents on her gloves are heard. 'POP POP POP' as she reaches the top, pushing herself up and then twisting about to finish up sitting on that same edge, chest heaving up and down heavily and she using her hands back for support after putting the duffle bag aside. She is dressed, of course, in her Elektra garb, blacks and reds, the mask on her face. Ninja!

"Have you ever heard of being fashionably late? I was supposed to be here first..." she tells the other, a glance up at the camera telling her it's being deactivated, a brief nod of approval given.

"Hello, Helena."

Helena Wayne has posed:
"Hey, 'Lektra," Helena says in a sing-song voice, leaning back on her hands, "I can appreciate fashionably late. Though I myself am ascribed to the school of showing up and disappearing when nobody is looking."

She follows the glance up towards the security camera, nodding her head a little in confirmation, and then pats the ledge alongside her.

"You sure know how to pick a spot."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
It is indeed quite the view that one can find when up on top of the Roxxon building. It's not exactly a place that many go to though, or are able to. Normally it being mostly reserved to the top executives. Those that don't fear heights of course.

"I am glad to have your approval for the spot." The smirk visible on the tone with which she replies to Helena. Though she does settle down near the other woman, bringing the bag closer.

With legs dangling down pretty much in the same manner as Helena she finally speaks up again. "You did say you were still learning about the city. Well, from here you can see most of it." she gestures to the city lights below them. "But for me it's more about the trip than the destination." yes, clearly a thrill-seeker.

Helena Wayne has posed:
"I'll say," Helena muses, looking out over the city skyline, "Still, I'm taking my time learning the streets and the rooftops. Once I've got that sorted out, it's down into the tunnels and sewers and I'm not really relishing the idea. Especially some of the rumors I hear about it."

"I'm not scared of heights, by the way. In case you couldn't tell." A grin.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"What are you scared of, then?" Elektra promptly asks. Because really, like in their first meeting why go with the easy, boring questions? Directly to the interesting ones. She has little time to be mundane.

Reaching over she opens the bag she had brought along with her. Inside there are a couple of backpacks, black in color, along with a smaller shape. A bottle wrapped up in a softer material so it wouldn't break on the trip up here.

She starts to unwrap it, the redness within telling it being wine. "You still have some answers to share after our first date too." she tells her. The mention of going into the sewers just brings a raised brow out of her. Yes, she has heard the rumors. Or well, even -seen- one of those rumors face to face. "What rumors have you heard about the sewers?"

Helena Wayne has posed:
"That's third date material," Helena answers with another quirk of her mouth, "Sewer alligators spring to mind. Something about being stalked by some mutated dinosaur you can't see ... ugh, creepy."

The second question raises her eyebrows, and she lets her head sway from side to side mulling the answer over before she finally answers.

"Secret colonies, hidden treasures, pretty subway stations. The usual. Why? Know anything?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Scared of answering questions. I will jot that down." Elektra then replies when Helena mentions a third date material, yet there is quite the amused tone to her voice, even if muffled under that mask. Though she does raise her brows about being stalked by mutated dinosaurs.. That's not exactly a pleasant idea. "Talking from experience or is this a fear of your childhood?"

She finishes unwrapping the wine, working on the cork until it pops off. She lets it fall down the building, watching the little cork disappear from sight before speaking up. "Still, thought we should celebrate the second meeting." she takes a swig out of the bottle once her mask is taken down, which, to noone's surprise is indeed Elektra Natchios face, the former Greek ambassador's daughter.

She extends the bottle. "I know a lot of things. You always come across the unexpected in there, you will be surprised I am sure."

Helena Wayne has posed:
"I'll confess that I'm not overly fond of surprises," Helena admits, "I was always taught to think out a problem from every possible angle so I'd never get caught short. Makes it tough to go sightseeing, though."

If Elektra's face is recognizable to her, she makes no outward sign. But then, for all her candor, Helena has still managed to keep a lot to herself. She raises an eyebrow at the wine bottle, watching the cork fall from sight as well.

"You've caught me at a disadvantage. I didn't bring any gifts."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Doesn't that make you less prone in being able to deal with the unexpected?" Elektra then questions, legs dangling back and forth slowly on that ledge. Nope, indeed not scared of heights. It is quite the fall down there though. "Some people call me too impulsive." or is it murderous? "I just can't abide by what is supposed to be our own place in society." with Helena notyet picking up on the bottle she takes on another swig before setting it down between them, at easy reach for the two of them.

With a glance towards Helena Elektra then smiles, a deadly sharp of a thing, watching. "Do you like the view up here though?" then she letting out a brief laugh at those last words.

"You will make it up to me for next time."

Helena Wayne has posed:
"I couldn't answer that. I think that's probably something that has to speak for itself."

Helena turns to regard the view once more and then reaches for the bottle, looking it over in her hand before she takes a swig. Someone, her father is rolling it whatever amounts for a grave on that ruined world she came from. Not only accepting a drink from a stranger, but drinking it on the job?

Eh, maybe she got it from her mother?

"I like it. And since we're being sooo presumptuous in assuming there will be a next time, I think I should pick the spot for date three. I know some nice places myself."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Maybe the right way is found somewhere in the middle. In the balance between impulsiveness and overplanning." Then Elektra raising her shoulders in a careless shrug, her dark eyes watching Helena drink. Surprised? Or perhaps amused. "Thought you'd check it for poison first. I could had been careless and not have used an odorless one." she comments. Is she joking...? Maaaybe. The smirk is telling though.

"You are on. I shall be looking forward to it. But I am sure we still have a lot to enjoy about this one." She tells the other vigilante, her eyes straying to the street in the distance below. "Or are you looking to jump out so soon already?" she questions. And does she mean it literally?!

"Because I have become rather curious about you ever since we met those nights ago." She reaches for the bottle then to take a drink as well, tossing her head back while she does so.

Helena Wayne has posed:
"I've been dosing myself with small quantities of various poisons since I was thirteen," Helena adds airily, returning the bottle to where it was between them, "It takes something truly toxic to give me more than a bad stomach ache and other discomforts. Normally I'd check, but I can't imagine you'd climb all the way up here just to poison me. You didn't even know who I am."

She shakes her head a little, "I'm not going anywhere. You've got me all to yourself. What are you curious about, exactly?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Stick would had been proud, maybe even giving one of his rare nods of approval at it. Elektra laughs briefly, perhaps imagining that, "My old master would had liked you. Whoever trained you knew what they were doing." and did she go through something similar? Most likely. Those damn assassins and their poisons. "I shall up the dosage for next time then. Seems we will only get stomach cramps this date. Admittedly, it won't make for a great memory but ..." She trails off...

... Silence taking her for a few moments, watching the night, then Helena again. "I feel like I am getting a good idea of who you are, Helena." using that first name to make it more personal. "But there's still a lot more to uncover." the assassin says.

Yet then at that opening for her to make her questions she speaks up. "I am curious about many things, but one stayed with me from our first meeting, a question you did not answer. The choice between taking this life or not. You mentioned there was a time your life could had taken a completely different path?"

Helena Wayne has posed:
Helena considers that for a moment, not answering straight away. She smiles faintly at the talk of poison and her former instructor knowing what he was doing. That's no surprise. Her father's specialty had always seemed to be knowing what he was doing, regardless of the situation.

"It isn't quite as interesting as I made out," she admits at last, "The choice was ... move forward and embrace a change, or try to find a way back through a door that may not only be closed but completely non-existent."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
That makes Elektra furrow her brows, considering the words and what is being shared, mulling on them for a few moments, "There are always those times we consider we could had acted differently. Sometimes we take too long to realize so and we find the door is close to return to any semblance of what was." and she had her share of those for sure. But she doesn't seem the type to linger on regret, "Yet it doesn't seem as if this is exactly the case for you. Something else..."

Eyes turn to fix and inspect Helena again, thoughtful. "Do you have regrets about that choice?" she questions.
