Cast of Characters: Kate Bishop, Riri Williams

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate has had a really rough week thanks to witnissing all the blantant slaughter and murder.

The random DM on her new twitter claiming to be Iron Heart had her pretty skeptical after all the back and forth with Harley Quinn and then the insane clowns fans piling on. Worse than Russian Bots.

Still the photographic proof of the helmet was easily enough to convince her to go to Harlem and show up on one of the roofs waiting with her gear and watching the sky. Which may be the wrong thing to do.

Meanwhile she reads the news on her phone between glances up.

Riri Williams has posed:
Riri hasn't arrived in her armor, it's still being repaired, but she's sitting with her hands in her pockets at the designated meeting location with a hood up and a ballcap brim sticking out over her dark eyes. Ear buds run up from her hoodies pockets, head slowly bobbing as she walks.

She'd had... an interesting week. Following all the lunacy on twitter, she'd easily triangulated that Hawkingbird had been her purple compatriot. Further proven when Tony made it clear this was the new protige of one Hawkeye.

It hadn't been hard to hack her account to send the DM.

She doesn't really know who exists BENEATH the mask, but how many fifteen year olds are out at this hour? Really?

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate stops looking up and then peers at Riri across the way and hten looks down at her phone again. Then she pulls up her GPS and realizes she is on the wrong roof, 475 is next door .... with that pint sized teen over yonder. Son of a bitch.

Kate stands, stretches, then launches herself into a hard rub for the edge of her roof top and leaps in a move that is pure parkour and lands with a roll on the roof top with Riri.

Popping up to her feet she looks the other teen over carefully. "uh." right that isn't articulate. She squints behind her sunglasses then fires a DM off to Ironheart "Yo." it is a test yes.

Riri Williams has posed:
Riri stops hearing the shift in barometic pressure from above and tilts her head back to gaze up at the falling Kate coming in for a perfect parkour landing. "Hey." Awkward, reaching up to slowly pull her earbuds out. The sound of Tribe Called Quest is temporarily heard before she cuts it off. "You hawkingbird?" Quiet. Notm aking eye contact, small frown.

Kate Bishop has posed:
"Uh... well... yeah..." she crosses her arms, she is wearing the purple sunglasses still. "I just sent you a DM... you know to verify it is you." she glances around then back to Riri. "I was honestly expecting someone taller.. maybe older.... no offense but that armor.. really super badass." it is a compliment sort of.

Riri Williams has posed:
"I know." To all of the statements hither too rendered. Riri stands with her hands in her pockets, "Got me caught, helping you. Tony Stark paid me a visit the next day.." She was actually visible on the live feed from his conference, sitting in the VIP section, when he announced his Presidency run. "I think the Hawkeye dude was going off looking for you. Was going to send you a warning, but I hadn't found you until last night." She has a very dull tone of voice, almost robotic.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate peers at Riri a little bit, she does seem a bit robotic.

"Well ... yeah he found me while I was trying to apprehend the Shocker a few days ago. It went okay. The whole thing the other night not so much. I mean I was surprised you DM'd me but pleased.. I had no idea how to get ahold of you to warn you that Stark would proabbly be really freaked according to Hawkeye about someone copping his armors designs or stuff."

Yeah she didn't see the clip yet she has been busy being battered or fighting crime really. Also much High School by the look of her age.

"He didn't get too made did he.. did he take the armor away... did he install some sort of robot control chip?"

Okay she is like eight percent sass, she can't help it.

Riri Williams has posed:
"Nah." Riri shakes her head beneath the hood, "He's going to help me improve it.." At least she thinks he is. The whole thing was really crazy and super rushed. Besides, he has a lot going on with his candadicy in full swing. Tons of pictures. Some of which she was even invited to, though nothing where she was photographed aside from the press conference. "He's got me staying at the Tower, too. It's pretty rad." Grinning, wolfishly. "At any rate, he hasn't taken the suit away.. but I haven't had a chance to work on it yet." Kind of glancing up finally, if only for a brief second. "He enrolled me at Happy Harbor."

Kate Bishop has posed:
At that Kate blinks. "Okay is it me or the Avengers may be totally nuts.... Hawkeye flew me out to the middle of no where.. asked me why I was doing this... said he wasn't about to try to talk me out of it but if I would let him teach me he would supply me with gear and trick arrows and stuff...

Pause.

"I mean why would I say no... but I totally expected him to try to put a stop to it.. or something .. .but no he even told the world I was called Hawkeye too.. it is ... totally surreal..."

.. ..

"What the heck is Happy Harbor?"

Riri Williams has posed:
"I think they're starting a franchise." Riri jokes quietly, in a decidedly not jokey voice. Hands in her pockets, hood down slightly. "I don't know what their deal is, but I'm not complaining. I think Tony is just tired of being the smartest person in the room, though..." She's clearly indicating he's not anymore, if she's there. A little smirk. "It's a school. I haven't been yet. I could probably teach most of the teachers, though."

Kate Bishop has posed:
"Hmm wonder if that means they plan to charge franchise fees.. I mean I accused Hawkeye of wanting royalties or employing copyright lawyers."

She moves to sit on an AC system and look around. "Well school is probably important but then I get the sense I'm not as smart as you.... hell I was going to ask you to help me make awesome trick arrows if I found you again."

She grins. "So.. uh.. why did you make the armor and fight crime?"

Riri Williams has posed:
"You're not." Riri says of Kate being as smart as her, which isn't meant to sound as derogatory as it ends up sounding. She knows how smart she is, but it has its downside too. She's not very good with people... or doing things socially. "I will help you anyways." Glancing around them, shivering a little in a strong breeze blowing up the street. "Why?" Looking back to Kate, "I didn't make it to fight crime. I made it because I could... the fighting crime part was to test the capabilities..." Looking down, "Obviously now that I now that I can, I probably will use it for that purpose, but that wasn't the original intent at all. It was proof of concept."

Kate Bishop has posed:
"Huh." says Kate softly.

It takes her a moment to really grok that whole concept of not having built it to fight crime but rather just because she could. On some level that sounds potentially dangerous. What if it had blown up Harlam instead. Then again on another level it sounds fricking rad.

"Wow okay... I mean thta is impressive and pretty awesome... awesomely impressive... anyhow. That is really cool. I'll definitely take the help though... he gave me a bunch of the nonlethal ones.. which is good.. but I bet they can be improved on if we put our minds to it." already thinking of whacky arrow ideas.

"I bet with Stark's resources you could really build an advanced suit with your brain..."

Riri Williams has posed:
If Riri was privy to what Kate were thinking, she'd point out she could have just as easily blown up Harlem if she built it to fight crime. Blowing up a city with a fusion reactor hardly cares /why/ it went off or for what purpose it had been built.

Only that someone screwed up.

Which she did not.

Riri nods to Kate. "That's my intention. Streamline, smaller, sleeker... I had to work with parts and equipment I could find or borrow, Tony has access to polyfiber nanoweave titanium with magnetically compression equipment. I wont need several thick layers of bulky armor to achieve the same structural integrity." She muses with a glance down at her Converse. "And I can house the reactor core in a feraday system to protect it from radioactive EMP bleedoff when over using the thrusters."

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate tilts her head a little bit there as she listens to the explanation of what all Riri can do with the armor now that she has access to Stark's resources. The improvements she can make. I mean she doesn't know why that stuff is all important but wow Riri sounds ridiculously smart about this stuff.

She plucks her glasses off and then looks them over. "man It hought the clever nightvision I had put into my glasses was cool.. that... well that is all sorts of impressive." she shakes her head. "So.. I'm Kate."

Riri Williams has posed:
If she were honest, Riri would fully admit that she had kind of blanked out there a little. So when Kate speaks up, she goes quiet. Silence dragging out a little bit, "I'm Riri." Extending hand hesitently. "Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble. Once I finish my software upgrades for the suit, I can maybe link your glasses into my HUD so I can see what you're seeing... and possibly visa versa." She offers?

Kate Bishop has posed:
"That sounds useful... especially if we are going to fight crime together more." she seems intent that she will be fighting crime more with Riri. Just sort of says it like it is an established fact of life now.

"Can you put a HUD into the glasses or just route it to it...?" curious.

"We should also swap numbers ... twitter isn't very secure."

Riri Williams has posed:
"I've got an encryption program running on my phone to a database back at my room. I'll send you the package via a dumpfile.. once you've downloaded it, plug your phone to your computer and run the run dot exe." Riri says with a brisk nod, "It will give us direct, secure, communications through the same tele network as the darkweb." All very matter of fact. "I can't just put a HUD to your existing goggles, but I'll work on building you a pair that has one." As if that's nothing. "It will be directly linked to my armors, so we can have communicate while we're fighting crime-" Quoting with her fingers.

Kate Bishop has posed:
"That..." pause "That sounds absolutely fantastic." also Kate has a very good idea being rich just how ultra rich Tony is so she has very little qualms of benefiting from some of that technological largess through Riri.

"I mean it.. that is awesome... also you may be doing the bunny quote thing but I am serious about us fighting crime. I fought The Shocker stopping a bank robbery since the armored car job... he isn't like.. A-List supervillain but he is one."

Riri Williams has posed:
"I have agreed to your assessment that we will fight crime together." Riri's hands go back into her pockets, "I am under no obligation to be excited about it." Robotically, but not without inflection. "I mean the fighting crime part... I wouldn't have contacted you if I didn't want to.. you know... hang out and stuff." Mom says she needs to make friends. Tony too. "So now we're friends."

Kate Bishop has posed:
Okay Riri is an odd teen girl.

I mean yes so is Kate but Kate is .. very socially educated and capable with the whole social scene. Comes from having to represent the family in Manhattan circles of wealth.

"Yup. Now we are friends." she notes very seriously then grins. "I'll set my phone up and let Hawkeye know we are fighting crime."

Riri Williams has posed:
Riri would freely admit that she is very strange.

She is not socially well adjusted.

Because she's probably on the spectrum.

She does smile at Kate and nods, "Awesome. Can we also do things that aren't fighting crime? Like watching tv and stuff? Or listening to music? There's a lot of concerts in New York." And apparently she's lowkey rich now or something. That's only just starting to really become a reality for her.

Kate Bishop has posed:
"Sure thing.. pretty sure I can get us into any broadway show you want to see, everyone wants to impress my dad in the Theater scene." she sounds jaded for a moment. "But yeah we can hang out and do stuff besides fight crime." a bit amused about Riri's reluctance to potential crime fighting endeavors.

Kate is psyched about being a hero, and she isn't wearing armor to save her from being killed like Riri is.

Riri Williams has posed:
"I don't think I've ever seen a broadway show." Riri admits, but she doesn't think it.. she knows it. "I do want to see Straight out of Oz, but I'm not sure it's playing anymore." Also, "Wicked would be cool too." She doesn't sound as jazzed up and psyched about fighting crime, but she's super pumped about having a friend... in her own way. "I should get back to the Tower before Jarvis realizes I've tampered with the security systems..." He'll figure it out, there's nothing she can do to stop that, but it let her sneak out without Tony being aware... /for now/. "Seeya later Kate." Waving, "You should go to Happy Harbor, we can be in classes together."

Kate Bishop has posed:
"I'm not even sure where or what that school is in... I'm in a private academy... but I'll ask about it?" she isn't particularly as attached to her school she is enrolled in with rich kids as she is fightng crime really. "Does it have fencing?" she wonders.

"Okay... see you later Riri."
