Cast of Characters: Bart Allen, Mary Bromfield, Billy Batson

Bart Allen has posed:
At the Batson family household, Bart and Mary were currently hanging out.

More specifically, they had just finished watching a podcast on a new D&D edition that was rumored to be coming out. "Well, at least its not Pathfinder, right? But then again, dunno why I'm complaining, I kinda stay away from more complicated classes like wizards and sorcerers and all that fun jazz."

He looks at Mary though with a big smile. "What do you think about it?" Of course, Bart has yet to meet one Billy Batson, which may be an interesting meeting indeed if the young man can catch the pair.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins over at Bart, sitting with him on the couch, "Eh, doesn't look too much different than 5E, honestly. Though it does look like they'll have some cool options there. I just wish they'd not hype things so much so we could get into the crunchy details of how things //work//, you know?"

She chuckles, "Not sure when I'll have too much time to game, though, between the new job and everything else." She keeps it a little vague, since... well, "everything else" is known about by the people here, but she hasn't exactly told Bart that it's a Family Thing that she does. Not her secret to spill...

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy and Freddie had been outlining their new podcast for the week. At least there would be some juicy bits to announce this week.

As Freddie had gone off to wherever, Billy had been walking back up to their house. The boy opens the door and exhales, smiling a bit. "I'm home!" Cue the fanfare and all that.

He walked to the living room, clutching his backpack on his back, and checks out what was going on.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart smirks at Mary a long moment as he drapes his arm around her shoulders if she permits. "Yeah, I hear you. But then they always do that right? Its always a new subclass or a new system or a new monster. They talk about all the new but never explain how the 'new' actually works. Which just gives everyone else some right hairs. Not crash, not crash -at all-."

He sighs a long moment, "But, its all good. I undertsand that you've been super busy. Remind me to visit you more at your shop and flirt publically to see how much trouble I can get you in." he winks.

Then he hears the call that sounds like the bell of doom...

Billy's home.

"Is that the brother I haven't met yet?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary gives Bart a wry look, "I'm the manager there! I don't think that's possible unless you get in me in trouble with the owner... oh no Bartholomew Joseph Allen don't you DARE..." What else she was going to say fades off, fortunately for Bart, as she glances over her shoulder and waves to Billy, giving Bart a brief, "Yup!"

Then she grins at Billy, "How did the podcast work go with Freddy? He seemed pretty excited about this week's episode. Pedro and Eugene and Darla went off shopping with the Vasquezes. Oh, and Billy, this is my boyfriend, Bart Allen. Bart, this is Billy Batson, the coolest foster brother. Though if you tell anyone else that Billy, I'll deny it." She grins at that, plausible deniability and all that.

Billy Batson has posed:
"We are almost ready to record. There's a new Robin in Gotham. Had to add something on that. And we got the last episode's numbers back, we are up ten percent." All the whole, he stared at Bart, he was polite about it, but he was definitely giving the other guy a once-over. "Hey!" He says, giving a smile to Bart. "I'm Billy." Extending a hand to the other young man in the room.

"So, what are you both up to?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart laughs a long moment when Mary threatens him with his FULL name! "Okay okay! sorry sorry sorry!" Bart immediately surrenders in light of possibly facing Mary's wrath, before he chuckles at her answer. His eyes then shift over to Billy with a wave.

"Thats really cool about your podcast Billy." he accepts Billy's hand for a handshake, nice and firm. "Mary's told me a lot about you, man. Its really crash to meet you."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, "Yeah, we were just watching some Critical Role spoilers about the new D&D book that's coming out soon. Looks like it has some pretty cool stuff in there."

She then blinks a bit as Billy talks about the podcast, "And whoa, a new Robin? There's like, what, eight of them now or something?" Not TOO much of an exaggeration, as she adds, "Can't wait to hear what you guys do with it."

Billy Batson has posed:
"Five. He's the fifth one. There was Nightwing, then the second one, then Batman went a while without one. There was the girl Robin, then the last one who changed to Red Robin. Now this newest one. I mean, the Bat does go through a lot of them. But it's not every day there's a new one. So...that's kinda big news. Like when Captain America gets a new costume."

Billy gave an approving nod to Bart and Mary. "Schway. So yeah, there's a ton of new news going around. Like the Titans getting back together, and HOLY MOLEY! I forgot about Superman!" Immediately he takes out his phone and starts to text Freddie, because HOW COULD THEY FORGET THAT?!

"Guess we're gonna be delayed on recording. Or we could just...improv it."

Bart Allen has posed:
"But so far that is all its offering. I don't know whether it?s enough to buy the next edition or not." Bart says with a light shrug. Mary's fascination with the number of Robins is very funny to Bart, considering he personally knows one of them.

All the same, his attention shifts lightly to Billy at his mention of Superman. "Heh, yeah. Its really cool that Big Boy Blue is back. We need him." He smiles. "I take it you're a big superhero fan?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, "What I am to roleplaying games, Billy and Freddy are to superheroes." She nods in approval, then gives Billy a wry look, "One of these days I'm going to convince you to try D&D." She doesn't really suggest a superhero RPG since, well...

Yeah, kinda don't need /that/.

Billy Batson has posed:
Thumbing furiously at his phone, Freddy answers pretty quickly, the sound of a ringtone echoing through the home. "Ok, we will just improv it."

"Uhh yeah, we have a podcast. Keeping up with hero news, it's...dorky. But it's fun and we are pretty big in the demographic of nerds and kids. So...it pays our bills." By which he means, nothing. But he still likes it.

"Hmm, D&D or sci-fi, hmmm..." Yeah he likes what he likes. Plus...family secrets and all.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart looks at Mary with a smirk. "ooohhh that makes sense." His attention then shifts to Billy. "I think that'd be great, get like a family kind of game going on. Plus one of course, for me." he chuckles a little bit, before he hums.
r "Hey, even if its dorky, as long as you're doing what ya love, have at it man." He seems to be very approving of Billy's likes, though if he ever tells Billy his identity, well..that will depend on whether or not Billy likes the Flash.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, "Yeah, improving definitely sounds like the best idea, plus the excitement is totally //real//, you know? Superman is definitely the coolest hero, and it's great that he's back." She then glances over at Bart and chuckles, "That's actually a pretty cool idea, if we could get everyone down with it..." And the wheels start turning in her head, oh yes, they turn and turn...

Then she looks wryly over at Billy, "Hey, I could run a Star Trek game you know... I even know one of my friends, Marie, she'd love it! I coached her on a costume for a Trek party not too long ago, that she didn't invite me too!" A bit of a sigh at that, as the Dax costume she has could have been put to good use!

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy took a look at what was going on between the two. Then back to his phone for a minute. "Yeah, that could be fun." He comments, then putting away the device, he shrugs. "Well, now Freddy wants to go over some new stuff for the podcast. He's at the library."

"You two...enjoy the nerdery." He says, smiling, picking up his backpack again before going out.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart looks at Mary with a bit of a laugh. "Well, I dunno, Batman is really cool. I've never met Superman, but I think he's really cool. I'll put him at like a tie kind of thing." Bart smiles a little bit. "I'm sure we could. We might have to help teach people how to play, which is perfectly fine."

His attention then heightens by a mile. "YOU CAN RUN STAR TREK?!" Bart almost yells in excitement, looking so very happy.

He then looks over at Billy for a moment with a smile. "Heh, we'll try. See ya soon, Billy." he then looks at Mary, whispering something in her ear that likely involves kissing and a question of privacy.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Likely, perhaps, if these were any other teens. But... well, Mary just grins and settles in against Bart on the couch, waving to Billy as he goes as she says, in response to the whisper...

"Yes, I can. Do you want to be the Number One?"

Queue disgusted gagging motions by Billy, no doubt, but Mary doesn't care about that as she grins over at Bart, "Though I don't like the normal system, I prefer to use FATE Core..."
