Date of Scene: 21 May 2020
Location: Brooklyn Sewers
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Peter Parker, Michelangelo, Donatello

Peter Parker has posed:
He was NEVER going to get the smell out of this suit.

Spider-Man emerged from the lower levels, grunting as he hauled the webbed man-sized bundle up into the larger tunnel.

"Let's see...left...left...right...then left? Jeez, I need to send a drone down here to map these tunnels..."
Spider-Man looked over his shoulder at the human-rodent hybrid currently curled up, barely conscious, and moaning. His shoulders slumped slightly.
"Sorry, Ed...but I gotta take you back."
He grasped the end of the webbing handle, and began dragging Vermin down the tunnel.

Michelangelo has posed:
One of Donnie's proximity alarms had been triggered during Spider-Man's fight. Looking up from where he was reading a Silver Sentry comic book, Mikey peered around. Raph is out being Raph. Leo's training. It's just him and Donnie. Perfect!

"Come on Donnie!" he plead at the lair. "We can totally use this to test out the sewer skaters! I bet it's Rat King! Or Killer Croc or or..." he bounces on his feet, trying to get Donnie to go along with the plan. "The two of us can check it out, and Leo and Raph will be totally impressed!"

Donatello has posed:
There's been a lot of activity detected by those proximity alarms recently. They've been something of a thorn in Donnie's side lately, but they've proven to be worth the trouble. Donnie rubbed his chin as Michelangelo completes his pitch, back in the sewer lair. "Maybe it'll be Kai?" he wondered along with his brother. The mention of sewer skaters put Donnie over the edge. "Alright, dude. Let's do it!" he agrees. "Anything to keep you from peeking under the sheet." There's been a large box in the sewer lair, hidden behind a sheet, for the past few days now. Just sitting there. Lording over Michelangelo's curiosity.

Donnie tosses one of the sewer skaters over to Mikey and takes one for himself. "Let's go, before father's soap opera ends."

Peter Parker has posed:
He could heard Edward's soft moans. Probably having nightmares about his childhood. What people do to their own kids was criminal.
The plan was to get Vermin to the hospital where they had kept him last...and hope no one tried to break him out again. Damn animal-rights protestors...

Spider-Man hears something in the distance. The sound is almost like...wheels.
Maybe he got some gunk in his ears.
He can't tell if the sound is getting closer or farther away, and he has to keep moving. The sooner he can get Vermin some help, the sooner he can get the suit cleaned up...repeatedly.

Michelangelo has posed:
Kai? "Someone's got a crusssssssh." Mikey teases his older and taller (by one inch!) brother. As they skate through the tunnels, the orange clad turtle takes the lead, coming up to a side tunnel near the proximity alarm. That's when he comes to a sudden halt and waves at Donatello to do the same! Because just ahead, Mikey can make out Spider-Man ... a creature.

He crouches down into the shadows. "Why's he here? I didn't lead him here, I totally ninja vanished!" Michelangelo can so see Leonardo's scowl of disapproval as he crouches down further. And then there's a horrible, terrible thought as Mikey looks aside to Donatello.

"What if he brought him down here to cocoon him up and suck out all his guts?"

Donatello has posed:
Donatello is clearly not as practiced as his brother on the skateboard. His arms are extended out to maintain balance and he moves in a much more conservative way. No kick-flips or anything like that. Still, skating through a sewer tunnel's curvature is not easy and Donnie is no slouch. He keeps up.

Donnie blushes a weird color. Green plus red equals...uh. "Shut up, Mikey!" he calls out. "I do not." He's distracted by Michelangelo's comment enough to come to a halt into his younger brother's backside. "Hey, what's the big idea, Mike-El-Ang-El-Oh?" But then he sees it, too. Donnie instinctively drops to the shadows beside his brother. "Mikey," he begins. "There's no scientific basis for that." Still, Donnie watches to see if that's about to happen.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man wasn't aware of the two teen terrapins as he continued to drag the bundle down the tunnel, so they were being pretty stealthy.

"I swear, Ed, have you gained weight? It was MARGINALLY easier to drag you back the last time. Hope you were liking the hospital food..."
The bundle moans.
"Yeah, Ed...I know. Well, you'll be back at the hospital soon enough. Maybe if you let them, the docs can untangle the spaghetti in your brain. I swear, some days I'd like to go find your dad and see how he matches up against someone who can fight back..."

Michelangelo has posed:
Michelangelo grunts when Donatello presses up against him. "What do we do? I mean. He looks..." after a few moments, he asks his older brother. "He looks kinda lost?" he suggests. They know these tunnels. Mikey more than most, because he's usually exploring. "I mean, he's heading for the whirlpool room."

He looks to Donnie. The question on his face is clear. Do they help? Or do they just let Spider-Man wander?

Donatello has posed:
Donnie meets Michelangelo's gaze. "I know what you're thinking, Mikey," he answers, moving his attention back to their unexpected visitor. He thinks it through, letting his brother in on his process. "Well, we know what Leo would think," Donnie begins. "But he's not here. Sensei...Well, he could go either way on this."

In some ways, Michelangelo and Donnie see eye-to-eye on a number of things. Including this. "Mikey, it's just us out here. I say we help him out." There's a pause. "Besides...Leo doesn't have to know." With that, Donnie picks up his skateboard and stands. "C'mon."

Peter Parker has posed:
He hears water. Could that be the water pipe he passed?

He got closer, and the light from his eye-lenses illuminated a wide room. It was not the water pipe, but a large drain. He could see thousands of gallons of sewer water flowing from other pipes and down into whatever Cthulhuan depths awaited.

His shoulders slumped. Wrong turn.
"Maybe I shoulda taken that left turn at Albuquerque, eh, Ed?" He checked the map in his HUD, making a mote of his current location. It looked like he was drawing in midair...

Michelangelo has posed:
When Donnie agrees with the idea, Mikey's eyes light up. "You're my favorite brother!" the youngest turtle announces, before picking up his skateboard. There's one more look towards Donatello, then Michelangelo steps out into the open - what little light is available. Now, how to approach this?

"Uh. Hey dude. We come in peace?" he asks, holding up one three-fingered hand. "Remember me? We fought mouths on legs. Good times."

Donatello has posed:
"I know, Mikey," Donnie replies with a grin. "I know." He takes a deep breath and gives Michelangelo a nod, as if to say that it's okay to move. Donnie moves along with his brother, taking slow and deliberate steps. No sudden moves. Nothing to surprise the spider person. After all, Mikey's theory that he sucks the guts out of his prey has not, to date, been disproven.

Donatello follows Mikey's lead, holding his own hand up to show that it's empty. His other holds a skateboard, but his bo staff is strapped to his shell. "Yeah, we come in peace..." he calls over.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey turned and blinked.

Holy cow, it's the big turtle. And...there's another one.
It takes him a moment before the Spider-Comm system picks out Mikey with visual-recognition and the name pops up, along with a reference to the file he made on the MOUSERs.

"Oh! Hey, yeah, I remember you. Dealing with those MOUSER things. Yeah, you're the Turtle Titan." He looks to Donatello, then said, "Family? I noticed the resemblance."

Michelangelo has posed:
Mikey wears his nunchuks to his sides, skateboard in hand. And a helmet on his head. Safety first when skateboarding, kids! When Spider-Man recognizes him, he lets out a breath or relief. "Yes, it is I, Turtle Titan!" Don't give him a look, Donnie! He can feel it, probably. "And this is uh..." for a moment, the great namer is stuck on a name for his brother turtle. He never thought he'd have to come up with a superhero name for his brother!

"Anyway, you look lost! Uh. Unless you wanted the swirling vortex of doom up ahead?" he asks curiously, then looks to Donatello.

Donatello has posed:
"Turtle Titan?" Donatello repeats under his breath with a groan. "Give me a break, Mikey..." His face freezes as Michelangelo is about to give him a super-hero name but relaxes when the great namer strikes out.

"Yeah, I mean, the sewers can be kinda confusing. It's like one big maze if you're not from around here," Donnie explains. "Where ya headed?" He looks back to meet Michelangelo's gaze, as if to silently ask how many push-ups they'll have to do if Leonardo finds out about this.

Peter Parker has posed:
Mikey? Okay, that's a different name.
Then again, he calls himself Spider-Man, so glass houses and stones...
"His name is Edward Whelan. Someone experimented on him...made him into that." He points to the bundle. "...He calls himself Vermin. Cause he thinks that is what he is. I'm taking him to Bellevue, it's a psychiatric hospital. He was being treated there when someone...set him off. I had to come after him and bring him back."

He looked around. "Yeah, I could...use some directions. I had to cold-cock him, but he's not going to stay unconscious forever. He's going through a psychotic break and he needs treatment."

Michelangelo has posed:
"This is where we use our made up names, Donatello!" Mikey chides his brother, giving him a bit of an elbow as he turns his attention back to Peter. "Bellevue. Is that in Queens?" he asks in curiosity, trying to figure out the best way from here that doesn't take Spider-man past the lair.

Because so many pushups if that happens.

"I'm not sure we can get you back to this Bellevue place, but we can get you near Angelo's Pizza!" That's a compromise. He can make that. And then aside to Donnie, he adds. "We can pick up a few pies while we're there."

Donatello has posed:
"We don't have made-up names, Michelangelo!" Donnie responds in a hushed tone. "We don't have identities to protect." His attention snaps back to Peter and his quarry. "Sounds like Queens," Donnie agrees. Certainly no where he's heard of, but they also don't have many psychiatric hospitals down in the sewers.

Donatello nods to Michelangelo's suggestion of pies. "Good thinking, Mikey," he whispers with a nod before looking back over at Spider-Man. "Yeah, Angelo's Pizza!"

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man tilts his head. In the HUD, the map of New York comes up, the two points of "Angelo's Pizza" and Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital" appear. They are fairly close.

"...All right. I can work with that...wait." He paused. "Michelangelo? Donatello? You're named fter Renaissance sculptors?" He smiled wryly. "...Those are big names to live up to. Those men were geniuses."

He grabbed Edward, hoisting him over his shoulder. There was enough headroom for that. "Lead the way."

Michelangelo has posed:
"I had a secret identity as Turtle Titan!" Mikey mutters dejectedly, but there's a quick smile, giving Donnie a quick low-five. And now that they have a plan, they start off. "Man, Donnie's totally the smart one. He made all of our tech and stuff and gets us all the channels on the Roku and and..." he walks along, going on and on about Donnie, when he suddenly pauses.

"Heyyy. You and Supergirl hang around right? Do you think you could get me her autograph? My birthday's coming up and that's like... one of my things I want." Let Donnie crush on Kaaaaaaaairai. Mikey has his sights set sky high, apparently!

Donatello has posed:
Donatello winces a little, having just learned that Spider-Man's hearing is better than Normal-Man's. And now he knows their names. He tries to pair Michelangelo's gushing with fond memories of him doing all of those things, but all he can picture presently is an image of himself and Mikey doing push-ups.

"An autograph of Supergirl?" Donnie questions suddenly. That big box under the sheet back home is certainly not hiding one of those. Donnie scowls at his own stupidity.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man chuckles. "We talk every now and then. She helped me out on something big, and...well, let me see what I can do, Mike."
He and Kara are no longer a couple, but he was sure she could so a favor for a friend.
He looks to Donatello. "I meet a lot of interesting people, Don. Y'know, like now." He looks around. "How long have you guys been down here, if you don't mind my asking?"

Michelangelo has posed:
"Dude, we were born down here!" Michelangelo comments as he makes a turn. And if Donnie does not stop him in time, there will totally be some story that Mikey makes up about how he and his brothers came to be.

"But if you could get me an autograph, that'd be an amazeballs!" With that, he's marching right along. "Well. Maybe not born down here."

Donatello has posed:
Donnie nods. "I'll bet you meet lots of people. So do we," he agrees. Donnie rests a hand on his brother's shoulder. "What Mikey means is that we've been down here long enough to get to know these sewers pretty well..." The hand occupies a space normally filled by Leo's punishments or Raph's headsmacks. It's a hand that says 'shut up, Michelangelo!'

"I've been wondering something about the tensile strength of your webs. So, spider silk is supposed to be five times stronger than steel, but..." he begins. And if Michelangelo does not stop him in time on this one, Donnie will likely go on and on about weight differentials and relative density. The brothers are both prone to rattling on.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man nods. "Mine are synthetic, though. Reverse-engineered from natural spidersilk." He holds up one arm to reveal the webshooter along his inner wrist. "I have made variants that are much stronger than that, and others with particular uses. After dealing with Electro, for example, I made some low-conductivity insulative webbing to deal with him. I also built the webshooters themselves." He looks around. "Do you two have methods of staying in contact down here? Radios and cell signals must suffer greatly..."
