Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie had patrol duty this evening and while on patrol he got a message a Paige Guthrie had been arrested recently and if she was any relation to him. Well he could not cancel his patrol so as soon as he was off duty he was heading to check on her. Finding she had already been bailed out, he headed home to see if she was there, since she had been staying in his guest room. He is looking over the report on her arrest as he walks in the front door, still in uniform.

Paige Guthrie has posed:
Disturbance of the peace.

A mutant rights rally got a bit rowdy, and she got into a bit of a scuffle as she got hit with a glass bottle. It seems like she didn't do anything physical back but just yelled. She plead no contest and thus was put on deferred adjudication for the misdemeanor. It will probably be dropped for good optics.

Paige was in the guest room, nosewrinkling as she began looking over her things. Would Sam kick her out? Would she need to head back to the mansion with her tail between her legs? Who knows what the girl was thinking?

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie will walk into his bedroom when he does not see Paige. He takes a moment to put away his gear, gun and such. He then steps back out of the bedroom, still wearing his uniform pants and shoes, but stripped to his t-shirt he wears under the button up shirt . "Hey Paige, girl you here?" He will call out. Thinking she probably is, but giving her a chance to answer.

Paige Guthrie has posed:
Meeep!

Hearing him enter the apartment, she nosescrunches and takes in a deep breath. Might as well face it, and so she peeks her head out from the bedroom and looks towards him. "I'm over here, Sam. Just got in not too long ago."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods a bit and walks over to her and says "Yea, Ah heard Ah just missed you." He does have the look Ma has when she knew they had done something wrong. Not as bad as Ma's though. "So, you want to tell me what happened?" He gives her a chance to say her piece before he reacts.

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"I was part of a Mutant Lives Matter rally on ESU campus." Paige explains, with a soft sigh under her breath. "Things got slightly heated when a counterprotest was formed by the Friends of Humanity then something strange happened." That's accompanied with a frown. "I just suddenly felt really angry. Monet was more arrogant than usual. People were... well, angry on both sides, more so than usual. Then we suddenly stopped feeling that way before things got too messy."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie hmms and listens softly. He will head towards the kitchen once she has taken a breath "Come on get some tea." He first says and then as he is pouring the sweet tea for them. He looks over to her and says "You ask Monet if she felt anyone messing with folks emotions?"

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"We didn't really get to talk much afterwards." Paige says, sounding embarassed once more. Slipping out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, she's dressed in a Xavier's t-shirt and a pair of shorts as she wanders on over to get the proferred tea. "I got arrested."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit and says "Yea, Ah know dispatch asked me if someone named Paige Guthrie was kin to me?" He tells her, and looks over to her and says "Ah saw you went peacefully, and did not resist or anything thats good. " He waits letting her speak more, as he gets stuff out to make sandwiches.

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"I didn't resist. I already made you look bad enough by getting arrested." she says somewhat self depricatingly, scuffling her shoe on the ground. Paige runs her fingers through her blond locks as she looks back towards him. "But holding wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. It's no Xaviers, but it's better than getting hurt-hurt."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Ah aint worried about how ya make me look Paige. Ah am more worried about you. Ah know you you normally don't loose ya self on anyone, well maybe no one but family." He teases a bit to her. "You ate?" He asks her ready to make her a sandwich.

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"Not breakfast." And as she says that, her stomach grumbles a little. Looking up with an embarassed face, Paige nods, "I wouldn't mind a sandwich. And yeah, I think something is going on. Monet was more arrogant than usual, so it probably affected her too."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and says "Ah'll shoot her a text and see what she knows in a bit." He hands her the first sandwich that her has made, and wipes his hands before shooting off a text and then starts on his own sandwich. He does pull down a can of her favorite pringles. It seems Sam thought of her when he went grocery shopping last. "Well, Ah will be honest with ya, when Ah first heard it, Ah was pissed, not about how it effected me, well other than that Ah would have to call Ma, but because Ah knew you knew better, but as Ah thought about it, Ah knew ya knew better, so had to be something else. Like the other things Ah want to ask you, whats the deal with you going off with Stryfe?

Paige Guthrie has posed:
There's a bit about her knowing better and she nods. "Thank you for trusting me." Paige replies offering a smile as she starts to dig into the sandwich before chomping on a pringle or two. The question of Stryfe though causes her to pause mid chew and then she gulps and swallows. "It was the little girl. A mutant little that was murdered by cops for no real reason. He said he would make sure she got justice, and all the other X-Men were defending the cops." she says with a frown. "So I learned what they're really after. You can't have peace without liberation."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie 's brow raises a bit as he listens to this and seems to be putting two and two together. "Ah would wager, thats what happened to the officers. Ah wonder if Stryfe would be willing to kill a girl to strengthen his side of thing." He frowns in thought.

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"How could you say such a thing? He's a mutant like us. Why would he kill his own kind?!?" That causes her to be a bit flabbergasted, though she becomes a bit more defensive than usual, as if this was a triggering subject for her. "No, Sam, I'm not going to listen if you're going to spout some stupid conspiracy theory like that as well."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks to her, and says "Just cause he is a mutant does not make him a good or bad person Paige. Mutant, human, alien or what ever what you are does not mean you are a saint or sinner." He looks to her, and says "Neither of the two cops involved have never seemed to have a problem with mutants. Ah am not sure if it was him for sure, but it is a possibility. It could be the FoH have found some mechanical way to control people, but if it was them, Ah feel they would be more trying to make folks fear mutants, and killing a kid, is more something to make people feel towards the kid and their family not fear them."
