Cast of Characters: Samuel Guthrie, Logan Howlett

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie is here in the garage, his has his '98 outback is up on jack stands, as the young man is working on it. Today he is changing the oil amongst some other things. So right now, he is gathering a few tools as the oil drains from the car. He is a bit greasy so has been working in here a while it seems.

Logan Howlett has posed:
Logan makes his way into the garage from outside. He's not working right now, so the short, thick groundskeeper and X-Man is dressed in sturdy jeans and hiking boots, along with a short-sleeved shirt. He smells like cigars. He pauses as he glances about the garage and spots Sam working. He gives a bit of a grunt and moves towards the toolbench, peering up at them.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and nods back to the man "Logan." He will say in greetings to the other man. He seems to get a thought for a moment, and says "Hey you be willing to do me a favor next weekend for a jar of shine?"

Logan Howlett has posed:
He furrows his brow a bit at that. He brushes his fingers back through his dark, bristly hair and turns back towards Sam. "Whatcha need?," he growls. He steps away from the tool bench and makes his way over towards him.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "Ah found a junk yard, has one of these with some performance parts, and some decent condition main parts, but the thing was wrapped sideways around a street light. Looking at it, Ah am gonna need to take a torch with me to cut away part of the car to get to some of the parts. Looking over as you passed the torch, Ah realized you could probably save me hours of work, and less chance of fubaring something on accident.

Logan Howlett has posed:
Logan considers that for a moment. He glances down at his hands and then grunts. He nods, then, after a moment. "Sure, sure. Sounds easy enough." Years back he would have told Sam no in some pretty impolite terms. But he's been here for a decade. He's one of the founding members of all of this. His harder edges have been worn down over time...though most of the students and strangers would never know that.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over to the man and says "Ah appreciate it, you want the payment tonight or next weekend when we head out? My Uncle Luke, had a friend send me a few jars since my 21s is coming up next year, and he was not sure he would be able to get it sent closer to the actual day.

Logan Howlett has posed:
He ponders that for a moment and then shrugs. "Might as well get it now. Been awhile since I've had any shine..." Logan trails off a bit and grins, pondering seeing how Jean reacts to it. "Ah, 21 soon? I don't remember mine but...I figure it was a doozy." He shrugs his muscled shoulders. "When is it?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie says, "Febuary, as I said a bit off, but Uncle Luke is in a state funded institution for a couple more years, and his friend got out last month." He grins a bit "They sent eight pints of shine, and couple bottles of the local burbon my Pa drank. Ah don't think pa ever told him about when he caught me drinking when Ah was 15."

Logan Howlett has posed:
Logan chuckles a bit at that and nods. "Gotcha. Sure, then. Some shine sounds like perfect payment." He turns to make his way back over to the toolbench and he reaches up and stands on his tip-toes to pull down a few tools. "Just head out to the cabin when you wanna go."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and looks over to the man and ponders offering him a bit of help, but instead will walk over to grab a few quarts of oil, "Working on ya bike? What ya doing?" He will ask the other man.
