- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson notes, Wildcat, the OG vigilante, once remarked a motorcycle was practically a super power and had to agree. Okay, mom had a small cow. the sibs wanted rides. Victor tried to give him stealth thumbs up, got caught. Billy left while Rosa was still scolding him, walking the bike a block away.
Billy then headed for Frost Enterprises. He had texted Divine to meet him out front, but not how Billy was coming. He slowed down peering ahead for the tall woman. Holy Moley he was already having fun.
- Divine has posed:
Divine didn't have much to go on from the text, so she pulled on her boots and a pair of black pants, then paired it with a blue tank top before heading downstairs and waiting. For what, she didn't know, but she leaned against a pillar, focus switching between the sky and the sidewalk. She didn't pay any attention to the street traffic at all - Billy didn't drive often, so she was expecting him to show up on foot, walking from the nearby bus stop. That meant she ignored the motorcycle that pulled up, assuming that someone was either dropping a delivery or waiting for someone they were picking up.
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson huffs. So much for super senses. He admired his girl friend's pose for a moment. Then again she could get that reaction from him is a parka reading the dictionary. He raised the visor and and said a little loudly, "Beep! Beep!" then he removed the helmet to give her a good look, holding the lapel of his MC jacket with the free hand. "Hey, beautiful. Want a ride?" He guns the bike a little.
- Divine has posed:
Divine finally lands her gaze on Billy at the noise, walking up to the motorcycle and waiting. "You say this to every woman you are trying to pick up from the side of the road?" The question was a little flat, but her eyes were crinkled with amusement. "Is there a second helmet? If not, we should probably get me one at some point." She slips onto the bike fairly easily, balancing behind Billy with a careful grip on his waist.
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson continues the rough talking voice he used because motorcycle! "Naw, baby. You're the one I want. And Yeah, helmet on the back rest is for you." He turns around to giver her a kiss and discovers she's way high on the back seat, He stretches. "My place okay? I ordered in some barbecue. The sibs will keep it warm."
Billy says proudly, "This is a 2021 HARLEY-DAVIDSON Low Rider. I was lucky to get it too. there was a police auction Dad told me about. It's bought and paid for -barely. Get on... uh, there's helmet on the back rest. Please put it on or I'll get a ticket. Its seat was modified to carry a second person... because I want to take you places without flying and this seemed fun."
- Divine has posed:
She gives his back a dubious look at the talk, but dutifully puts the helmet on as she settles. "That's good," she says. "That you were able to get a good deal on it, I mean." Her boots are nice and sturdy, at least. "I'm sure they'll keep it warm by eating it." Her voice is teasing. "We should get going before they are ravenous."
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson enjoys her settling into him, then signals and pulls out. "I ordered double te usual amount. SO I guess you met the sibs. Anyway, Mom is home dragged Dad through a knot hole for agreeing with this. She'll make sure we have some left, or add her own goodies to it. She likes you by the way. Made sure I had a helmet for that pretty girlfriend of mine."
"Did you know you're pretty? You must." He heads for the 59th Street Bridge.
- Divine has posed:
Divine isn't entirely sure what to say to that, or how loud she'll need to yell for Billy to hear her, so she's quiet for a few minutes as they head to the bridge, focusing on keeping her balance and not being a hindrance on the drive. Eventually she shifts her shoulders slightly. "I haven't met all of them, but I trust your mom to keep everyone in line. I'm glad she likes me." She liked the other woman too, and Mary. "Are Mary and Marie going to be around?"
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson leans back a little to be heard, then realizes there is no need. "Not that I know of. I honestly wanted some couple time. But I will be glad to set up a double date with them. Maybe there's a musical performance in a park. What do you think?" He fancies he could feel the heat of a blush from Divine on the back of his neck. But that's just his imagination.
"I'm sorry if I embarrassed you, Sunshine. But she does like you. So far more than the others I dated... like I dated a lot. Pfft. I'm glad we're going steady. I'm glad we have each other." He drives them over the bridge and the way seems clear of traffic. they should be in floral Park shortly.
- Divine has posed:
Divine nods at his words. "Something light could be fun," she agrees. "Or a movie in the park, those are fun too. I'm not embarrassed either, but I am glad she likes me. She's nice." The motorcycle is a pretty fun ride, admittedly. The view feels fast, even though she can fly much faster. "How mad was Rosa at your Dad?"
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson calls back as they roll off the highway, "Not too bad. She called him , 'Old Man' and he called her 'Giiiirrrrl.' And then he told her I was going to get a bike which some woman would talk me into selling like she did with him, and that he'd already gotten a mechanic to check it out and it was 'a first class crotch rocket.'
He cuts back on the gas rolling into his street, Then comes to a stop at the garage he lives over.
"Would you be a honey and open the garage door? Key is in my jacket pocket." Fun first ride.
- Divine has posed:
Divine reached into his pocket for the clicker and pressed the button for the garage. "I don't know that it's the most practical for a long trip, but I think it's fine for around town. It's good that a mechanic checked it."
Once they're in the garage and the bike's off she waits for Billy to move, then swings her own leg over the bike and follows. The helmet is next, and she leaves it sitting on the back rest before taking a sniff. "What kind of barbecue did you order?"
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson gives her a snuggle before answering, "I got ribs, a couple pulled meat sandwiches and a couple orders of sides. The little monsters better have left something for us. Uhm, oh here. This is for you... it's a key to my place. I also set aside a draw for you and some closet space.For... if... when you want to stay over. I know it's not much -but we have fun and you can have the left side of the bed that gets all the sun, I also got you a toothbrush and comb.
- Divine has posed:
Divine presses the key back into his hand. "I don't really feel comfortable taking that yet, but I appreciate the thought." She does offer him a hug and a cheek kiss instead. "That sounds like a good dinner, so hopefully you're right about them leaving some of it." She thinks about it for a second. "If not, I'm sure we can go out and find something, too."
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson takes the key back and nods. "We're doing all right though, right? I mean, I took some missteps with you, but I'm trying." He puts a hand on her cheek and looks up at her intently. "Take the key when you feel it's right. Rosa can always let you in if you need to crash. Excuse me, I have to get our dinner. You can let yourself in with the key, and just leave it. See if it works and all that. Pray for me." He gives her another hug, pretends to steel himself, and heads across the alleyway.
- Divine has posed:
Divine nods. "Yeah, we're fine. That just feels like a little too big of a step right now." She leans in for a quick kiss, then follows behind Billy as he leads the way across the alley. It's a short trek, and she can hear the chaos as soon as they're inside, climbing the stairs to his family's place. "A lot going on in there," she says, eyeing the door a little dubiously.
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson stops and says, "I'll go in. I don't want you to meet them like this. Be right out." He stretches to give her a kiss and hurries in.
"Chaos, banter, laughter. Slight probably pretend struggle. "Awwww, you guys! All right we'll meet up soon. I'll take you to the zoo where she works. You all would fit right in there... Ack!" Billy exits, shutting the door behing him hurriedly.
"They got us a cheese cake." He has a large bag in one hand and a box in the other.
- Divine has posed:
"That's nice of them," Divine replies with a smile. "But did they leave anything to eat, or just bones?" She laughs a little at the thought - it's not mean, but she can somewhat imagine them leaving Billy a box with small bones as a joke, while not really messing with their dinner. At least from the stories she's heard. "They can totally come to the Zoo sometime. Maybe when I'm not working."
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson says, "Ooog that's so mean... I love it, but I have to live with them, sort of. No, I checked on the food. Ribs are fine. They each took a sandwich I bought for them. And... they swiped half the cornbread. Monsters. Anyway, let's go. You take the dessert, so I can let us in." He heads for the stairs to his loft and takes two steps at once, then turns to face her, eye to eye. "There's a toll... whatcha got?"
- Divine has posed:
Divine gives Billy a peck on the forehead as she takes the cheesecake. "Toll paid, but I could also toss you through the door like a dart. It would hurt and you would have to replace your door after, though." She grins. "Maybe we can watch a movie after. I know some good stuff has come out recently."
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson grabs onto her arm as she breezes past. "You wouldn't do that. Unless I was Shazam. We'll look at what's playing online. If we feel like moving after all this BB-Cue and cheesecake. We can also chill and listen to music or watch one of my disks. I got some Bruce Campbell stuff now." He lets go of her and opens the door. then he steps aside to let her enter.
- Divine has posed:
"Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. There's new stuff on streaming, too. I've been given a few suggestions too." She moves inside, setting the cheesecake in the fridge and grabbing two drinks for them while she leaves dinner to him. "Alright, tell me about the sides you got." She smiles across the table as they sit, sliding their drinks on the table. "I've heard good things about barbecue meat and sides."
