|
- Cain Marko has posed:
THEN:
A bright flash light up some miles outside of Madripoor as a fusion reactor exploded high in the skies, detonating with the force of a nuclear bomb. The EMP blast raced out over the small independant island nation as the reactor detonated. The seas churned and a violent shockwave rolled out in all directions as the explosion was detected by all manner of monitoring systems the world over.
The island was saved an the menace of wild Sentinels was disrupted. The cause of the explosion itself, however, was left to fend for itself. A crimson missile that had leapt into the air and then been unexpectedly hurtled by an Omega Level TK to send him careening uncontrollably into the reactor - and then sent hurtling wildly through the air and across the Pacific Ocean by the explosion...ultimately landing in the ocean and sinking down.
Down.
Down... The EMP blast and force of the detonation disrupting any beacons on him for easy retrieval by his occasional allies/employers in The Brotherhood and others that might seek his services. See what occasional good deeds get you?
NOW: Downtown L.A. An earthquake and not a small one at that. People are running towards shelters. Buildings are swaying and plumes of debris clouds and a trail of broken buildings leads back towards the coastline. So...not very much like an earthquake at all. Massive footprints lead from the beach into the city. Cracks in the ground. Chasms. The works. Indeed, earthquakes tend to not travel in a straight line..but living natural disasters can and can leave massive footprints int heir wake. Not truly kaijju sized no - but - the local authorities rushing towards the expanding disaster zone no doubt are wishing that it actually was. At least it'll be easy to get to the source of whatever is causing this mayhem. The footprints sure will help if the trail of destruction isn't clear enough! (It is. It really is.)
- Monet St. Croix has posed:
This is why they can't have nice things. Monet St. Croix is shopping over in Los Angeles right when something that almost might be a tsunami coming to strike the beach can be seen.. Or rather heard as it goes thump-thump, thump-thump, quaking like the heart of a lawyer about to go over a settlement for a class action suit. She can only let out a soft sigh as she goes to analyse it, and goes to try and reach out to give a warning..
Only to then realize that it's Cain, and that she cannot. She goes to swear, and goe sto try and send out a telepathic signal to anyone else from Xavier's in the area.. And finds none. Dammit, not even Alison that probably could talk the man down. Or sing him down.
She goes to fly towards the unmissible sounds of stompage, hoping to catch up before things got too bad.
- Lucy Blaze has posed:
Lucy Blaze had been hunting a Daemonite who'd embedded himself as a Hollywood agent, gathering wealth to feed to other ex-patriate aliens hiding out and preying on the human populace. Along with indulging some very nasty habits of his own. Zealot had the satisfaction of ending him the night before, the length of her blade buried up and into his body, slaughtering the intruder before it could escape the host. The agent died, of course. Not much of a loss.
She's preparing to get a jet back to New York when the commotion breaks out. Zealot grabs her gear and gets her rental car, taking off at high speed and heading into the danger. She knocks down a few police barriers along the way. Oh well.
"This might be messy," she says as she spins the car to a stop and sees the Juggernaut emerge.
- Divine has posed:
Divine is in California because she sees a place selling birria bone marrow tacos online and decides she needs them. Immediately. She shoots Emmom a text and disappears into the sky, crossing the country in a few minutes. Her trip to San Diego is diverted when she sees the earthquake-looking event in Los Angeles, and she ends up landing just a few yards away from the very large man with the very destructive stomping.
"You're interrupting my taco time!"
She shouts it in his direction, hands on her hips. "That's rude! Why are you causing all this mess?" Her foot taps impatiently as she waits for a response, wondering if he'll chill if she offers to pay for his tacos too.
- Cain Marko has posed:
Sadly, things have already gotten bad but there's always room for them to get worse!
By the time the culprit has been sighted - and it is indeed The Juggernaut - a path of destruction has been carved through the city into the downtown area and through rush hour traffic - because of course it has to be rush hour.
This leaves a line of flattened cars and literal chams and holes straight through a line of buildings as if the giant had simply not bothered to turn and just kept walking straight ahead like some sort of straight line thunderstorm with no intention of bothering to turn.
Crimson energy crackles off of his form as he lumbers forward with each step sending seismic disturbances rippling outward from him like some sort of boulder impacting into a small riverbed. Can't be good for the fault lines but at least the city is earthquake ready.. Not necessarily Juggernaut ready - but no buildings just come down on account of this fairly violent stroll.
But despite all of this nothing can withstand his -direct- attention and as the police move in, SWAT teams taking up position and opening fire to try and distract the giant or hope against hope that somehow they can put him down - they kick off the unfortunante act of causing his attention to fall upon them. His gaze trailing burning swatches of energy behind it as the bullet fire pings off his armor or thuds into his muscled flesh.
An instant later and the colossus has reached his hands into the ground. The earth rocks violently and sunders as he hauls up a monstrous chunk of the streets. Ripping the very foundations forth and causing hydrants to burst and power lines and sewer systems to rupture. He cocks the building sized pile of rubble backwards, balancing it on one hand as he turns towards the officers and then--!
Divine is suddenly there, standing in his way. The giant pauses, looking on her with the massive wreckage held overhead. ..and...says nothing! No quips! No smart aleck lines! No smarmy comebacks with the attitude and air of a school yard bully. Just a vacant stare...
And then he leans forward and shotputs the massive piece of rubble at her. It explodes through the air with the violent force of an incoming meteor that trails rubble behind it in a violent spray causing the officers to scatter.
- Monet St. Croix has posed:
And Monet sees just how /terrifying/ a pissed off Juggernaut can be. As the huge man goes to lift up the debris and goes to launch the rocks over at the officers, she moves to dive down at them at high speed, and moves to wrap them around in her arms, rapidly relocating them as she moves to twist around with her own body to shield them. Debris bounces off her back as she goes to then fly bcak for the next group. She snaps about to turn at Cain.
"Stop! This gains nothing!" She would yell over at him without any ability to even be heard. Attacking him head on will be completely useless. And he's way, way too angry to be talked down. She has a panicked look on her face, even as she would desperately search about for something to distract him.
- Lucy Blaze has posed:
Lucy Blaze ducks down behind a bit of cover as she sees violence start to break out between Juggernaut and Divine. Something familiar about the powerful woman - Kryptonian, she thinks, judging from the obvious density and fearless approach to the rampaging monster known as Juggernaut.
Direct tactics may not do her much good.
Zealot gets her energy rifle, ratcheting it up to full intensity as she pops up and fires a few shots at Cain's face, breaking into a run to get out of sight again before he can spot her. Jus ttrying to distract him enough to give Monet and Divine a better chance at the big man.
- Divine has posed:
Divine groans as she catches the enormous chunk of rubble, staggering backwards and wobbling until she gets it under her control. There's a her-shaped dent in it now, and she's not entirely sure where to set the rubble down.
"Is there a good place to put this?"
She can fly it somewhere if the airspace is clear, and she follows her question with that information. It doesn't take long for one of the cops to use a bullhorn and direct her elsewhere, so she rises into the air - much slower and very aware of her surroundings - and does a bit of a zig-zag of flight until she can /smell/ the dump site they've directed her to. Gross. It's worse than being on poop duty during the hottest days at the Zoo.
She zooms back, taking in deep lungfuls of air as soon as she won't be overwhelmed by the smell and holds it, circling around Juggernaut and letting it loose in a slow, steady stream.
- Cain Marko has posed:
The crimson behemoth is already on the move once the rubble is sent flying. The ground ruptures and shakes as he goes charging forward, heading for the barricades and the buildings beyond and beginning to cross a large open plaza framed by several office buildings in the process.
Monet swoops in saving the lives of several officers but attracting the massive mans attention through her rapid movements as rubble rains down over the area in the aftermath of his violent toss. For the moment, Divine is forgotten as he turns towards the mutant as she comes in for the next group of police.
A loud *TWHOOOM* resounds as he brings his hands around and slams them together, producing a massive thunderclap that goes rocketing across the area towards her and shredding the ground itself apart as the force wave rips across it like a cresting tidal wave of pure pressure. And still the behemoth remains silent. Not quipping or even seemign to acknowledge or recognize M, simply seeing her as a target for the increasing intensity of his destruction.
Then Zealot's energy rifle strikes home. The flash of light does more then the blast itself, blinding him as it scythe's across his helmet and causing him to stumble just as Divine finally swoops back in. The hurricane force of her breath pushing against him and causing him to go sliding off course as his body struggles to regain its balance and then finally places a thunderous foot down to brace against the force of the winds becoming effectively immovable against it.
But he still cannot see. His eyes struggle to refocus and he doubles over slightly, putting a hand up to his head and then letting out the first sound of the encounter in the form of a thunderous roar of rising anger and frustration. More crimson energy crackles about his body, burning through the air and striking the ground like tendrils of wild electricity.
- Monet St. Croix has posed:
The sonic clap goes to deafen Monet, even sa she goes to scream in pain and the kickback in a virtual concussion. She would be flung back by it as like he had just backhanded. She goes to hit the ground and roll along the ground in agony. Then she was getting up again, moving to race towards the next group of civilians that might be in the area, trying to get them up and out of the way, even as she would watch energy shots ping off Cain's armor.
He was blinded, but that would just make him even angrier. But maybe they could lure him away from things. She would shut off her ears, using her telepathy to shut down parts of her brain to turn the pain down. Then she's going to try and move to charge over towards Cain and trying to come up over behind him while teh others would scramble.
Her fists are slamming up and over towards.. The buckles that held his helmet on if at all she can.
- Lucy Blaze has posed:
Lucy Blaze winces at the thunderclap, ducking down to avoid any of the shockwave hitting her. She's fought her share of powerhouses - hell, she'd fought gods, plenty of them, and left their carcasses bleeding in her wake. But this thing, this man, this monster, he was well beyond the usual range of her talents. This is why she sometimes worked with a team. Not every tool was fit for the job.
But a Coda doesn't quit.
Seeing that the blinding worked somewhat, she pelts more energy blasts towards him, trying to work on that same annoyance tactic, trying to blind and frustrate him. Might make him sloppy, more prone to mistakes. Would a mistake even matter? She can't be sure. She believes that anything can be killed, but this guy sure does put that maxim to the test.
"Why won't you die?" she mutters.
- Divine has posed:
The thunderclap is loud, even at a distance. Divine watches as windows shatter from the resulting shockwave as she starts to circle the larger man. His roar of anger and frustration as the energy crackles around him makes her wince, but she stays in close range. Her yell is louder than normal due to the ringing in her ears.
"IS THERE ANYWHERE REMOTE WE CAN TAKE HIM?"
Ideally low civilization, minimal things to destroy. How far away is the desert, again?
- Cain Marko has posed:
He wouldn't be much of an Unstoppable Force, Avatar of Destruction or The Exemplar of Physical Power if he would just lay down and die now would he? There's a reputation to this sort of thing!
Not that he seems to be worried about that. Indeed he is seeming more like said elemental force at the moment then someone smug in their own sense of being invincible. One might almost long for his annoying quips and one liners given what's happening right now.
The energy blasts ring against him again, splaying blasts of plasma in various directions as they splash against his body and scorch the ground around him. He shakes his head and his body presses down into the ground, once again sending another earthquake through the area but he's at last stopped moving - for now.
Monet then goes for the helmet. It's iconic after all. The magical bindings force her to strain, however, but there's a sudden flash of red light as the helmet is loosened and goes wobbling wildly on his head. Not fully off just yet and in the space of that moment, as Divine circles and speaks, Juggernaut lashes out with a massive hand and reaches for Monet's leg.
She gets rag dolled around, pulled violently into a spin and sent hurtling in Divine's direction as the goliath swings his swamp-tree girthed arm around and releases her as a living projectile for the other powerhouse.
Another energy blast from Zealot finally doslodges the helmet - sending it spinning away violently to go slamming into an abandoned police car.
This has the unfortunante result of causing him to snap his attention right for her position while also revealing....he's got a skullcap on. Clearly someone set this encounter on the 'hard' difficulty level and this is made more apparent as the ground starts shaking with his thundering footsteps as he begins bearing down towards the Kheran warrior.
- Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix goes to strain along the helmet, and moves to scream over as Cain goes to grab her leg and moves to slam her down hard. She would be flung away hard through the air towards Divine, a -CRACK- over from the fling bouncing along.
<<Get that off of him!>> She would send that along to the otehrs fighting with her. Even as she would get up, trying to cling along the arm of Cain to pull herself up and away whether or not Divine caught her.
<<We have to more him away from here!>> She would go to pull her way up, even as she moves to try and scatter along to the side to pull herself away.
- Lucy Blaze has posed:
Lucy Blaze grunts as she hears that instruction about the helmet, reaching back and drawing her sword. It's sharp, as sharp as can be, a Kheran blade forged two thousand years ago, eternally sharp and capable of cleaving through ordinary steel. Especially with the precise guidance of its mistress.
She breaks into a run, ducking low. She's not clad for battle, just wearing a pair of combat pants, boots and a red tank-top, sleeveless wife beater style. Her white hair is unbound, having grown out and catching in the wind behind her as she sprints and leaps, trying to catapult herself up to swing and attempt to loosen whatever bolts that helmet to Cain's body. Of course, to do that, she has to move into harm's way. Oh well.
- Divine has posed:
Divine doesn't catch Monet so much as she stops the woman's short, painful flight. "Are you ok?" She asks even as she watches M start to climb the behemoth. She hovers alongside M, and her attention is caught by the woman with the energy rifle as she charges forward and leaps.
Her snort of amusement is probably in poor taste, but she follows it up with something more polite. "Would the two of you like a lift to the top floor of this guy? I'm sure I can lift both of you... probably him too, get him away from the populated areas."
- Cain Marko has posed:
Well it's a good thing that Juggernaut is going right -for- Zealot as she charges him. That should make her getting to him easy enough.
it also puts her right into the line of fire as he cocks a monstrous arm back, muscles bulging and flexing like a buick under his skin and the sound of his sinew an audible thing along with the creaking of his armor as his physique presses against it and strains it as if trying to rupture it.
Energy blazes from his eyes as he twists for the swing - and then Monet is on him again.
The Juggernaut is a poor choice for jungle gym but her intervention causes his body to turn slightly as he grits his teeth in frustration and Zealot's flying leap lands home against the straps holding his skullcap in place. The material of the cap itself - not so vulnerable - but the straps that keep it on his head ...much more ordinary and easily sliced by the quick actions of Zealot who then finds a ten foot tall awaiting her as she comes down from the height necessary to reach his head back for the ground itself.
Divine hovers near, verbalizing her questions...and Juggernaut's mammoth fist comes siwnging around, dragging Monet with it as the huge limg rockets for her, filling her field of vision up with his massive knuckles and the rugged beaten crimson cosmos metal knuckle dusters on the monsterous fist. Divine would feel the pressure wave coming from the thunderous unrestrained blow, an instant before it lands if she's unable to prevent the thunderous sky breaking impact. An impact that would surely send Monet hurtling as well given her insistance on holding onto his limb.
- Monet St. Croix has posed:
*WHAM*! Monet is flung away hard, even as she can only disengage partially from the brutal blow. There's a *SNAP* from the strike, she would scream over while going to shut down the lower part of her body as what feels like her spine gives way. She goes tos hut off her vocalizations, preventing herself from screaming as she would fly to the side, grunting and shutting off parts of her brain down due to pain and overload.
<<We have to get him out of here>> as she focuses on the skullcap. If they can get this off she can try and get to his head.. Well.. She can /pray/ she can get into his head.
<<Nothing we can do can stop him physically. We can't slow him!>>
- Lucy Blaze has posed:
"NO SHIT!" Zealot shouts back to Monet's mental coaching. She's dodging as best she can, trying to grab onto Cain's back, hacking away with her sword trying to get at those straps. The crackling energy around her makes her skin burn, though, and even her Kheran physiology has its limits.
Finally, one of those big swings whacks her hard and sends her flying, end over end and crashing to the ground. She hits hard, leaving a divot of Earth in her wake, ground through it all as she feels her nose bloodied. "Mother--" she spits.
Nobody makes her bleed her own blood!
- Divine has posed:
The blow lands, and Divine goes flying into the air with a pained, angry scream.
It takes her several seconds to get her bearings back, enough to take her through the apex of flight and hurtling back down towards the ground. She goes with it, speeding down in a now-controlled combination of fall and flight on a direct trajectory to pick this guy up and dump him in the middle of all that sand she sees. She projects that thought too, used to the light telepathic link she allows Emmom to keep on her, and accidentally spilling some of it into that as well.
<<GOING FOR THE GRAB MOVE OUTTA THE WAY>>
She'll apologize for the accidental telepathic yelling later. For now she swoops in... and realizes too late that she's too low.
Instead of the torso she thought she aiming at, she hits calves. Strong ones. Someone isn't skipping leg day. Divine lets out an "oof" as her flight is abruptly stopped by muscle and concrete.
- Cain Marko has posed:
Zealot's hacking and slashing does the deed an an instant later Monet has snatched the skullcap from the giants head, revealing in full his vacant eyes and the enraged set to his mouth and teeth. His crew cut red hair and a light but still unkempt beard still matted from a mindless trudge along the very bottom of the ocean floor, fighting the pressure of the crush depths and walking through it as if it were wet tissue. Clearly Cain Marko is not home...
Like a rolling thundercloud, Juggernaut's mammoth shadow falls over Divine as he looms overhead, unmoved, utterly, by her impact against him. It might have been a question on if she could have pulled him up to begin with. Possibly, with enough distracting force around him to prevent him from simply pulling her back down again. It's a sound tactic but not a gaurentee. Nice try though.
A try that earns her his full ire. His massive hand comes crashing down for her. His palm thundering in, fingers splayed out like the legs of some monstrous tarantula, attempting to crush her into the ground with the palm smash and then, if successful, curl his fingers about her body with a crushing grab. Steam billows form his flaring nostrils as he moves in and more of that Cyttorak cursed energy blazes from his eyes as he leans over.
- Monet St. Croix has posed:
It's off. Her lower body isn't responding to her. One o fher legs is hanging like a twig from her. Her left arm is mangled and there's an imprint of the knuckles of Cain's gauntleted fist on her. But his headcap is off. Monet is not a telepath of the strength of Jean Grey or Charles Xavier. Or Martian Manhunter. She si but moderately powered and moderately trained.
But she is stubborn.
<<STOP>> She is prideful. She is arrogant. She is sure of herself.
In the realm of the physical, nothing can stop the Juggernaut. Nothing in the world of magic can slow him. Not even a God can. Monet is none of these.
But that does nto stop her as she tries to blast into the mind of Cain Marko with all her focus, with half of her body shut down to avoid spasming in pain..
Monet will get her point across.
Or she will die trying.
- Lucy Blaze has posed:
Lucy Blaze sees Divine get smacked down and snarls. She charges forward and will try to grab the fallen Kryptonian by the leg, even lift her up, trying to pull her out of harm's way. Odds are, Divine won't stay down long, if even for a minute, but Monet seems to be holding her own for the moment and even the mightiest warriors need a chance to catch their breath.
"Back off, oaf!" she shouts at Cain, her blade flickign at any part of him that draws near, sending up flares of sparks at the impacts.
- Divine has posed:
Divine is impressed, along with a handful of other emotions she's not willing to examine as that massive hand aims at her.
She's a knockoff Kryptonian, but that doesn't make her weak, and she sucks in another lungful of air before blasting it out at his hand with as much chill and force as she can manage. Frost starts forming between the webbing of his fingers, and as Lucy pulls her free and upright Divine takes the moment to swing upward with a violent, forceful kick, aiming for the dark vein just on the underside of Cain's wrist.
- Cain Marko has posed:
She's not going down without a fight! Zealot stands in the way but more then that DIvine's thunderous response is truly a magnificent move on her part. The freezing cold and the sudden kick, not to mention her target. He may be invulnerable but he can yet recieve pain and a stunning blow and the force of her strike sends his hand off its course, slamming the palm into the ground just besides her as the frost shatters along with the ground beneath them both. An individual without his degree of physical durability might have suffered a truly dehibilitating blow but her redirection of the unstoppable momemntum of his grasp is a feat unto itself.
But he doesn't stop utterly. He turns, bringing his other hand up, overshadowing both Divine and Zealot..
THEN...he stops.
A psychic wall of red static and haze greets the telepathic intrusion. A void of raging destructive power and intent. Pure force and physical power to move mountains and reshape landmasses. It seems as if nothing is there but that. An emptiness filled only by an alien ancient power that crept in in the absence of what should be there.
But the telepathic command and cry echoes on and dives in and pushes in and pushes in for there is no defense against it. Merely the frustration of something otherworldly that seized the chance to treat this body as a mere machine to be piloted while its true owner 'went away' for awhile.
But the telepathic cry continues deeper and deeper and there it finds something. Someone. His back is turned, as if not wanting to face the world outside but hearing the sound, the desperate and arrogant command...he turns slightly to look back behind him.
And in the physical world, Juggernaut begins to open his mouth, haltingly at first.
His face scrunches up abit, struggling for a moment, straining as if fighting against himself and an urge...and then the crimson energy begins to dim and the red of his eyes fades away slowly, revealing the confused baby-blue gaze of Cain Marko, looking down at Monet with clear confusion on his rough hewn face.
"What...." he rumbles slowly, "....what is...what is going on....?"
- Monet St. Croix has posed:
The group is barely holding on now when Cain slows and stops.. Monet is hovering moreso for the sake that if her legs touched the ground she would hurt too much to be able to move anymore. She's already rewired several parts of her brain at the risk of permanent nerve damage to keep herself conscious and able to focus. She forces herself to breathe in and out.
"You were on a rampage and were attacking everyone in your way." She takes a forceful breath, even as her lungs spasm in pain and her ribs threaten to pop.
"You will stand down and surrender yourself so that this can be investigated." She doesn't have the strnegth to press at him mentally. She can just hope that his conscience seeing what damage has happened and not knowing it at all will be enough to give him pause.
Maybe Lorna can teleport him up to Asteroid M and she can look at him. They can find out what happened.
And if something happens, an asteroid with several of the most powerufl mutants on the planet has to be better than Earth.
- Lucy Blaze has posed:
Lucy Blaze feels her head a little fuzzy from the impact of the blow she took, her frenzy of violence only slowing as Cain seems to calm down. Her blade lays against the palm of his invulnerable, outstretched hand, that massive paw overshadowing her, likely about to crush her immortal skull.
Would she die? Maybe, maybe not? She's never had her skulled crushed before. Fractured, yes, but even her alien physiology has limits. She's glad they won't be tested today. She hopes.
Quickly, she moves back and tries to get out of range of that hand, keepign her blade up, wary and ready, her beautiful face smeared with blood from her busted nose and lips.
- Divine has posed:
Divine was preparing to grab one of those tree-trunk legs and lift when the confused rumble registers in her brain. Monet explains it well enough, and the Lucy seems... more mobile, at least. She drops her hands after delivering a sharp flick to Cain's left calf muscle, moving towards Monet carefully.
"You need a lot of medical attention," she says shortly. "Can you be lifted? Or moved safely? I can fly you, I'm good at that." Her own dive and miss earlier aside, Divine does consider herself to be very good at flying even with wiggly cargo. Or particularly fragile cargo, in this case.
She keeps the very tall red-headed man in her sight as she moves though, just in case he gets any more rampaging ideas.
- Cain Marko has posed:
"...No...no... no, no, no..."
Juggernaut remains crouched over as he lifts both of his hands up to his head, eyes widening as he fully takes in what happened.
"This isn't what I wanted! Not like this, damn it!"
He seems to be having some sort of argument with someone that..doesn't seem to be there. Or at least there anymore. Only half acknowledging Monet's words at first but more and more clarity is returning to him and he looks towards Divine and then Lucy and then to Monet again, whom he stares at, eyes widening further upon seeing the damage she's sustained in comparison to the other two.
Both of his hands remain clamped down on his head as he straightens up to his full height once more. "NI'm my own man! I'm not some puppet! I aint yer weapon!" he thunders before he lowers his hands, looking still wild eyed and crazed but that, at least, is better then the seemingly mindless force of fury and nature that the three risked their lives against.
Monet's command of him to turn himself in registers finally and he just begins shaking his head while taking a few steps backwards, eyes still wide and saucer like....
And then he turns and begins to run. His thundering footfalls shake the area as he begins a rapid retreat, leaving the trio in the middle of the destructive venue but his rushign departure is at least measured and guided and not directly through buildings. In fact, as he picks up momentum his massive legs bend and then he leaps - the ground shaking violently from his lift off. His leaping skills are hardly that of a Hulk but he is nevertheless able to clear the height of the nearest buildings before disappearing on the other side. A distant *TWHOOOM* sounds along with another earthquake and then his pounding footfalls continue as he rushes off towards the mountains and deserts beyond.
- Monet St. Croix has posed:
Dammit. Dammit. She pushed him too far. Too hard. Before she could get in touch over with someone on Asteroid M or from Xavier's or that could contain.. But once he is running, there is nothing gettig in his way. Not the Hulk. Not Superman. Not the Sorceror's Supreme. There is nothing that can stop the Juggernaut. Not when he runs.
Any further thoughts that Monet might have on trying to go after him pause as she whimpers, pain finally overloading her body. "He's.. Heading away from people. We can't keep up with him." She's on the verge of collapse and Divine will definitely need to get her to medical attention..
- Lucy Blaze has posed:
Lucy Blaze spits some blood on the ground, watching the retreating Juggernaut. Weren't many things in this universe that Zealot wouldn't fight, but Cain seems pretty close to the top of the list. What a nightmare.
"Let him go. Alert the Avengers or the Justice League. He's their problem now," she says.
"I want a god damn drink," she mutters, pulling her hair up into a ponytail and tying it off with anger. Her wounds have already begun to heal, the Kheran's physiology capable of rapid healing. She probably cracked a few ribs, too.
- Divine has posed:
"This... is going to hurt. Where's the best place to take you?" Divine scoops Monet up as carefully as she can, treating the other woman much like a wounded animal at work. She tries not to jostle anything, and she focuses on keeping any touches light but firm. "Nearest hospital work, or do you need someone with special training? Or is there someone that can come get you? That teleporting stuff?"
She nods in agreement with Lucy. "If you're ever in New York I work at the Bronx Zoo and I'll buy all of us a round or two after that."
