Cast of Characters: Ted Kord, Joan Wright

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord is on the phone and for once using his boss voice. "Listen Carole... I don't care how many you give or if it's zero or less. You are to intercept all calls from Felicity Felix for now. Now when Ms. Wright from DC shows up, send her in... No... DC stands for Damage Control. What else would it stand for. Just do what I said!" He hangs up the phone. Muttering he goes back to his latest project: a Lego recreation of his awesome Bug. "Flipping woman acts like I got nothing better to do."

Joan Wright has posed:
The next few minutes after Ted's conversation were likely peaceful. It does take time to get from the lowest level of a building to a penthouse. But eventually, the quiet does get interrupted by the sound of the elevator doors opening.

Unlike the previous work related consultation, the mode of transportation up to Kord's Penthouse is not as- unique. In contrast to her time with the portal, there is little hesitation to her exiting the elevator. Instead of clinging to a clipbard and pen, a single strapped satchel is slung diagonally across her chest and back, resting upon her right hip. A young blonde steps out, looking over, "Mr. Kord?"

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord has gotten the assistance of several drones. Holding onto him they hover over the Bug as he applies some finishing touches. "Over here. Sorry about the mess. This sicker is going into the lobby as soon as I finish it up. Seriously... I should have built an anti-grav into this thing like the real Bug. I had to make the legs much thicker to support its weight despite what the square cube law says. Okay boys, down. Gently.... wait! Not on the Bug. Bring me over to the desk and let me down!" the drones stop their downward motion and whisk the engineer to the desk, dropping him on it. He rolls off with an 'Oi' and goes over to Joan extending a hand. "Hi, please call me Ted. Mr. Kord was my dad."

Joan Wright has posed:
Hearing the greeting, Joan's head turns to the source of the voice, craning her head upwards to look tow- Oh gosh are those LEGOs? She doesn't quite make eye contact with Ted as she's instead walking over to look to the Lego Bug. Whatever professional demeanor she managed to muster up in the elevator drains away as she's starting to grin at the beetle. And it seems he just said so-

"I'm sorry what?" She turns her head, looking over to Ted. CRAP. "I'm sorry I was just wondering how many bricks you ended up using."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord lets his hand drop and says, "Call me Ted. I don't recall how many exactly. The clerk at the store figured their commission and kissed me. A bunch." He stands a alittle awkwardly waiting for Joan to remember he's there.

Joan Wright has posed:
"If they're working on commission you probably took care of their pay for a week." Joan comments, looking back towards it. "It looks good." A brow raises as she looks over to Ted "And you're going to move this all the way down to the lobby after you've assembled it up here?"

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord says, "The drones will handle it, moving it with attachments at the strongest spots. It should be fine. Watch... hey boys, Routine five!" He snaps his fingers and the drones are at it again, grasping the construct at points along the body and legs. They lift it up to the high ceiling. "There see? I'll let them hover a few minutes just t be sure." At this point a cel phone rings and Ted slips it out of his pocket as he steps closer to the model to take a critical view.

"Hello? Felicity? N-no it isn't a bad ti..." he begins. The Bug model suddenly collapses completely, almost into individual bricks, raining down on Ted who us buried despite his best efforts. "Grawk!""

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan's eyes widen at the sudden stormfront of LEGO brick hitting Kord's desk area. This seems way too familiar to her and it is upsetting her a little.

A hand lifts, three fingers curling inwards as the thumb and pointer finger still extend outwards, seemingly pistol fingering the ceiling as she sways the hand in a circle, glaring at the LEGO bricks. Some of the bricks start to lift up, sparing Ted from the full weight of plastic, seemingly waiting on something.

Frowning she flicks her finger gun towards the area the beetle was sitting, causing for a flurry of blue, white, and yellow bricks to fly away from the desk. Some pieces circling around Joan before the shoot off to their regular places.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord says, "Joke's on my dad, he figured I'd blow myself to the Streets of Glory" as he struggles free. He gets free and abruptly freezes watching Joan work her magic, looking at the swirling bricks around her.

"I don't know what Damage Control is paying you... but I am prepared to double it," Ted says, crossing his heart.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan doesn't immediately respond to Ted as she focuses on the LEGO beetle. The bricks orbiting her eventually making their way over once the perch familiar to them became available once more. A solitary Lego falls to the floor. Causing for her to look down at it accusingly before looking back to the Beetle. "...I'll let you figure out where it's missing from."

A few moments click by before she turns, looking over to Ted, smile upon her lips as she starts to open up her satchel. "I'm flattered, Mr. K-" Wait. Name preference "-Ted. But, perhaps we should discuss the initial reason you requested someone from Damage Control to come by first. I have my limits. You may just need the full team."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord shakes Joan's hand. "Of course... basically I want to have your full residential and industrial package. It's just necessary if Felicity keeps coming around or calling. Now if you'd excuse me a moment I have a secretary to reassign. Bakersfield I think..."
