Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Lois Lane, Clark Kent, Jon Kent

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois is working hard, on the couch, having come back to her fairly large apartment (also rent controlled having been here long enough) to work on the story for the story for tomorrow's edition.

The invasion was routed thanks to the combined might of earth's heroes and with the day saved the reporters and citizens jobs begin. Reconstruction. Removal of alien weaponry. Writing of bylines. All the things that don't involve punching invaders from outerspace in the snoot.

Lois adjusts her Gunner Optiks computer glasses and goes back to trying to word smith the first setence. All the boring bits and bobs are already in it. Now is the phase where she proves she totally earned those earlier Pulitzer's.

Clark Kent has posed:
Clark was over and starting ot heal. The fight with Zod had been an immense one, taking place over hundreds of thousands, nearly millions, of miles and ended in the destruction of a few buildings. One of those buildings was the Superman Memorial... and while there had been no intial fallout aimmed at him, with it being an election year and Lex being one of the elects, he fully expects some toxic response.

Sitting on the couch, he wasn't working on bylines, he was thinking back to a young man who had sudden appeared shortly after the fight had gotten to Metropolis. Something that young man had said having stuck in his mind like a thumbnail... something he wanted to tell Lois about, but wasn't at all certain how to broach. Dad!..

Clark opens his mouth to say something, then closes it and looks back down at his lap.

Jon Kent has posed:
It hadn't been until after the fight that Jon had realized exactly what happened to him.

Suddenly, he was on Earth, six years before he was born. It was a lot to take in, and how was he going to do this? He had no one to go to, his phone didn't work, the only people he knew weren't really the ones who knew him. He saw plenty of Doctor Who to know this could go one of two ways.

The apartment building roof was landed on with a light tap of his feet on the surface. He made his way down to the floor he remembered like it was yesterday, even if it was a couple days ago, and twenty-one years in the future.

He managed to snag back his coat and faux fur aviator hat. Better than running around with a sweater emblazoned with Superman's logo on it, and without his glasses.

A ring on the doorbell after, and he stands in front of the door, looking down at the welcome mat. Which to him, he didn't recognize. Already biting at his lower lip. "Please be there, please be there, please be there, please be there." He whispered, crossing his fingers. He dare not reach out his hearing to listen inside, that would be rude.

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois pauses when Clark looks like he is about to say something, catching it out of the corner of her eye. She knows him well enough that when he isn't really guarded (like the Superman secret for heaven's sake) she is able to tell when something is on his mind. Especially when he is in more Clark mode than Kal-El mode.

When he doesn't say anything she archs an eyebrow but doesn't press yet. That sentence's wording is really giving her a hard time and she isn't about to give up on it before stabbing at it a couple more times. In the end she may need a brief break but she doesn't just leap to procrastination and breaks lightly.

She would definitely be prodding him soon though if he just kept on thinking hard next to her on the couch, but in the end it is out of her hands.

Attack of the Doorbell.

"Can you get that Smallville... I'm wrestling with the bit about Mongol and Powergirl and getting the wording right."

Clark Kent has posed:
The thing is, Clark hears the boots on the roof, and he's suddenly getting anxious. There hadn't been much time for questions, but one glance upwards confirms the identity of their vistor... it also confirms something else that he'd been considering... who was his mother?

Well if he's coming to Lois' apartment?

Seems pretty obvious.

Then again, he could have just followed him here. When the bell rings, Clark pushes up from the cushion with a nod to Lois, "Y-...Yeah.. I'll.. hey, Lois." Rubbing the back of his neck with curled fingers, he doesn't finish the thought. Even though he absolutely knows he should definitely finish the thought. "Just.. I love you."

Has he even told her that before? It's just out there, not said as if somehow he's surprised, but casually as he pulls open the door, blue eyes looking on blue eyes. "Come on in."

Jon Kent has posed:
Clark and Jon share those same eyes, the brilliant blue ones that only get less brilliant when behind their glasses. It was one of the ways they blended in with everyone else.

The moment could have been a full day with how Jon's heart had been beating fast. Somehow still the poor kid thought he may be causing his own erasure like Back to the Future. Oh god. No, don't overthink it.

"I...yes, sir." His hat was removed before he stepped in, looking meekly between the both of them as he crossed the precipice he had done thousands of times before, and yet, THIS was the first time. "Umm...I...hello." Was all he could think of saying. Even now, his heartbeat was thumping. Like when he broke the window on the Kent farm when he was eight. It was an accident, he never knew he could throw a baseball that far that fast.

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois looks up with a smile when he says Hey Lois, that only gets a bit sappier when he says I love you. This whole dating relationship thing is still severely in the honeymoon period, measured easier in weeks than months after all. "Love you too." then she adds with a wry smile. "That doesn't get you out of getting the door though."

She looks back at her work and notes as Clark walks to the door. "Did you get takeout for us a surprise?" curious. Food doesn't sound like an awful idea to her really, how long has she been working on this article. Glancing at the clock in the computer's taskbar.

She looks up at the teenager with Clark. It is puzzling that Clark just told the kid to come in. "Neighbor kid?" I mean she sounds confused, because she doesn't recognize the kid at all. Of course she is SHARP and intuitive in a way that has made her career. She pauses after asking the question. Eyes drifting between Clark and the young man with him.

Then back again.

"Is this another of your .. cousins Smallville?" it is a safe way to phrase it. Yes she sees the resemblance for sure.

One she is pretty sure is not shared by Ma and Pa Kent.

Also there is a bit of something around the teens face that is very familiar. The jaw reminds her of her dad actually just a bit.

Clark Kent has posed:
Clark steps back and turns to unblock the path for Jon, hand extended out towrads the apartment with a little frown. He's not upset, not by a long shot, more confused. Which seems silly now that he thinks about it, really. Karen was from an alternate timeline and is an older Kara, Kara is older than Kal, but he's older than her..

Seriously, this is just Tuesday if he really thinks about it.

Poor Lois though.

"Uh... no..l-.. not really, Lois.. I.." Looking to Jon, one dark brow raised. He's not wearing his glasses so his eyes are like jewels glittering in the overhead lights. A simple t-shirt and comfortable pants with no shoes.

"Do you want to tell her?" Said in kryptonian. Certainly he'd taught his son Kryptonian.

Jon Kent has posed:
"Hello." He says, kindly. Before he looked around, removing his coat and holding it in his arms. He wore a zip-up sweater, originally made for kids, it fit a bit snuggly, probably a little too small for him, but it had sentimental value. The red and blue styling was a modern take on Superman's outfit, but the crest of the House of El was very much spot-on. It even had a cape that reached below his waist. It probably had seen it's last tour of duty today as some of the seams were ripping, even the ones that had been repaired before.

He had been taught Kryptonian...even if he wasn't as fluent as the others were. "Do you think that is best?" He asks back, sounding a little...textbook rather than a native speaker.

He looked back to Lois, still a little worried. "I-I'm your son." He motions from Clark to Lois. "Your son." Letting that sink in before he winces and realizes he missed a bit of information. "From the future. Not like...from fifteen years ago." Yeah, that makes it better, right?

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois tilts her head a little bit still looking between Jon and Clark. Eyes a bit narrower even before Clark seems to fumble with how to explain whatever is going on. The lady has written a lot of wild stories about Metropolis. Though she has not gotten a really clear story about Kara, Karen, and Conner yet. Things keep coming up and other things seem to be a little more critical over the last few weeks with all the problems they have been facing in Metropolis.

Also the whole getting to know the real Kal-El and dating thing.

When they switch to Kryptonian Lois blinks. "Oh come on." she notes with dismay.

Of course the words that come out of Jon's mouth in a moment definitely short circuit the whole business about them talking to each other in Kryptonian.

What. The. Hell.

She blinks a couple of times and then eyes widen. I mean. What. The. Hell.

"The.. wait.. future... my what!?" she jerks up to her feet forgetting she has her laptop on her lap sending it flying towards a crash for the floor. Easy to see for those with superspeed and sight and all. An Alarmed noise of dismay as she realizes she just threw her laptop as she tried to stand up fast.

This is a lot.

Clark Kent has posed:
Clark rubs the back of his neck, even though this is certainly not his situation to feel awkward about... It doesn't mean he feels any less awkward for that fact, though. "Like ripping off a band-aid." He murmurs with a muted smile and a look over at Lois to guage her reaction to this bit of information.

That's about what he expected, yeah.

"I just found out... sort of... not that we'd had a chance to discuss it during the fight, but I was trying to tell you about it, but I wasn't even sure." Until just this second, motioning up at Jon, to whom he looks as well. This can't be any easier for him. "Can I get you something to drink... uh..." Even more awkward, "... what's.. what's your name?"

Jon Kent has posed:
Being near invulnerable comes with big perks. But this, this wasn't easy for Jon. He winces again as he sees the face he'd seen only a couple times before: Lois just at a loss. But as she stands, he instinctively leaves his coat and hat to fall on the floor as he rises to catch the laptop, a red and blue streak ever-so-quickly approaching her and the laptop, red sneakers squeaking on the wood floor as he comes to a sudden stop from super speed. "Milk, please." Yep, growing boy. "I-I'm Jonathan, Jon. Samuel Kent." Yep, Jonathan for Clark, Samuel for Lois." He says, a thoughtful smile looking to Lois as he holds out the laptop, hoping it wasn't so bad.

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois only half hears Clark really. Because well there is this blur. A fairly familiar color scheme of a blue that manages to save the day ... or at least save her laptop. It is a testament to how bambozzled Clark is as well that Jon was the one to make the superspeed save there. That or habit of being CLARK around Lois still that is taking some getting used to perhaps.

She blinks wide eyed at Jon. Samuel. "That.. Jonathan Samuel..." she numbly accepts the laptop back from Jon's hands and then flumphs back down onto the couch. Sitting. Right definitely sitting.

She almost asks Clark to make her a Gin and Tonic then .. there is a teenager asking for Milk.

A teenager named after Clark and her fathers...

"Son of a .." and that gets cut off too. Teenager. Their teenager. From the future. OR something.

Screw it.

"Can you get me a Gin and Tonic Clark..."

Then she squints at Jon. "You. Are our kid.. from the future. This isn't some sort of supervillain thing?"

Clark Kent has posed:
Clark is a half second too late, but it's a half second in which Jon jumps into action and saves Lois' laptop... Truth be, he's still processing what he's heard himself. Jonathan Samuel Kent. "That's a good name.." He says dumbly, still rubbing his neck when the request for milk comes.

Nodding a few times, he walks at a normal speed towards the kitchen to fill himself and Jon a glass of milk... "Gin and tonic for Lois." He sets to getting that mixed up just the way she likes it, coming out with the two glasses of milk held in one hand and the G&T in the other.. extended out for Lois. "Here you go... And here you go." One of the milks for Jon.

His son.

"So.. uh.. how?"

Jon Kent has posed:
"Oh, no. Please Mo...Lo...Miss Lane. Please don't let this effect things right now. I really like being alive and don't want to disappear like Marty McFly..." Yep, seen those movies.

The fifteen year old walks over to a chair once the laptop is passed off. "It's not a supervillain thing. I sw-promise." The glass of milk is accepted, and a hefty drink taken from the vessel, milk mustache and all. "Okay, Da...Cl..." clearly in an uncomfy situation not trying to make it more awkward and yet making it more awkward. "Mister Kent had taken me to Antarctica to help things over there when the Phantom Zone Projector kind of...lost its marbles and sucked me into there...three days ago for me. And when another portal opened, I took it as an exit before it collapsed and stuck me there again. And it happens to be twenty-twenty instead of...Twenty-Forty-One. I didn't realize until Zod...almost landed a high rise on top of dad and everything. After the battle...I saw the date."

A moment before Jon thinks about something, reaching to the coffee table for a coaster and placing the perspiring glass of moo-juice on it. "Here. I have proof." He took out his phone, which didn't work but had a ton of photos. "Umm..." He starts scrolling before his eyes light up again. "Here! Last winter, I got the Perfect Attendance Award." He turns the phone around, and shows the three of them in a selfie, Clark and Jon were in matching dress shirts and ties, and Lois, now twenty-one years older still looking poised and proud. The whole family looked awfully...nuclear. Lois being the slight rebel pairing a red leather jacket with her dress. The men of the family were bespectacled, and Clark had looked barely older than he does now. Jon was exactly as he was in front of them.

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois watches Clark. I mean he is very fast. Also this teenager is very fast. She just sort of accepts that Clark must think this is likely enough that he is fine being in the other room right now.

Also how would a supervillain know that not only is Clark actually Superman but also know to use those names and everything else. I mean. It might be possible. But to mimic the speed too. Gosh.

She somewhat numbly accepts the glass from Clark and takes a deep sip before also setting it down, not on a coaster either just missing it as she stares at Sam. She is drinking in all the details as he fumbles through explaining things. Stumbling over wanting to call them mom and dad.

"Well." she notes about to say something when he says he has proof.

She leans in to look the photo over and then dismays "Oh .. god I look so old." yes poised and in charge but still you are talking twenty one years from now and she would be what fifty seven at that point. I mean at least she still looks good right. Also something about Clark looking not at all much older is simply not right. Damnit.

She leans to look again though. "Damn." yeah she actually cursed. She leans back, fishing the glass up and taking another drink. "That... is remarkable proof." not to mention the phone is definitely from the future too, that doesn't get past her. Very little does to be honest.

"So what is a phantom zone... and.. this is all possible right Clark?" because yeah she is much more of a believer now. She does look to Clark for help though with this.

Then she looks to Jon. "It will be okay." realizing the teenager has to be flipping out on the inside right.

Clark Kent has posed:
Clark leans over Jon's other shoulder to look at the photo of them, mouth pulling tight at the reaction from Lois, "No, you look beautiful." He assures her, trying to salvage a situation with his particular brand of wholesome sweetness. He reaches out towards her shoulder to give it a gentle squeeze, expecting that she'd catch the little details, and possibly accept things where others might completely freak out.

She is dating SUPERMAN afterall.

"In theory.." Clark begins with a little frown, sipping his milk almost absently as he looks back to the picture that Jon's shown them of the nuclear family looking happy and... shakes his head as he tries to imagine that world. "Yes, in theory it's possible." Without getting into exactly how he knows that.
