2001/The new teacher

The new teacher

Location:	Exterior - Happy Harbor High School
Synopsis:	Daisy meets up with the new Phys ED teacher, Al. Turns out it's a 7'6 giant with a mohawk! The new year promises to be interesting.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
With classes very very close to being at an end it's time for exams, which is just sooo delightful for Daisy... Or not. But even worse is scoring those exams, which is something she had been dreading to do. But it -has- to be done, so here she was, back at Happy Harbor for a while to do just that.

She arrives on her van, it sputtering as the engine dies by the parking lot and she getting out with a small sigh. "Getting close to your retirement..." she tapping on the side of the door as she closes it. Yes, it was indeed quite the old-looking van. How it moved? A miracle most likely. She is dressed in black jeans, along with a black t-shirt, backpack on her shoulders. A bit more heavy on the goth look than what she uses as a SHIELD agent, but then again this is her cover, being the IT teacher at Happy Harbor.

And that's how she finds herself walking up through the hallways towards the teacher's lounge, hands in her pockets.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein had been looking for a part time job, and one of his college teachers had suggested this. It might not be full time, but it is work, and could look good on a resume. That's what brings him to the school to check out the area, and what they might need from here at the end of the year and over the summer. The sound of his Cougar's engine is loud, but not being over revved. He finds a parking spot probably next to the old van.
     He will head inside after giving the van a look over. The huge man is let inside, but he has now gotta find the class, or a map. So this brings a 7'6" guy with a Mohawk walking through the school.

What's even worse than scoring out exams is scoring them in the MORNING. So Daisy is just looking ahead sleepily. Yet then she notes the huge shadow on the halls, not too far behind her... That's not very normal. Unless we are talking about an overgrown student. It could happen, considering the type of people she knows study here... So it makes her look over her shoulder, then up to the mohawk.

Not a sight one sees every day! It also brings her to a stop and a full pivot to face the man. "Hello." she offers, squinting her eyes briefly at Albert. "Can I help you?" she inquires, unsure on who exactly this may be. But she puts on a faint smile on her lips. That counts for something!

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein stops and offers um ""Hi, I'm Albert Rothstein, I was hire to help fill in as Automotive and Phys Ed substitute teacher." He holds his hands up and says "Sorry if I scared you, just my first time here, and well was able to get inside, but to be honest, I have no clue where anything is yet." He offers with a returning smile. Once he has shown he means no harm he does offer his hand to her in a shake "You can call me Al."

"Oh, phys ED?" That sure explains it, Daisy nodding her head at Albert, watching the man again in a more thoughtful manner. Sure, she knew there was someone new coming in eventually, she just hadn't seen a picture. "Well, you sure fit the bill for it." a grin offered. "And no worries, not scared."

She returns the handshake, firm enough, no superhuman strength on this one though! "I am Daisy good to meet you, Al."

A gesture with her hand for the man to follow and she begins walking down the corridors. "Come, I will bring you to the teacher's lounge. Best coffee you can get here." she says. At this time of the year there really aren't many students about now, just the occasional straggler from time to time, heading on to study for later exams on one of the study rooms.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein nods, and says "Thanks, and yea, I had a pretty good trainer coming up, and passed enough to be able to help out with it. Just might have to make sure I don't go to hard on them, My trainer was a bit old school." He admits. He walks along making sure not to take to big strides to keep pace and not force her to hurry. "So your a teacher here as well? What do you teach, if you don't mind me asking." He does keep an eye out looking around trying to get a feel for the place.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Also ate your beans every day alright." Daisy says, most likely a mention at giant size! But she is grinning when she says that, continuing along at a leisure pace throughout the hallways. "And old school? I can imagine the types..., hopefully they didn't have a cane to deliver extra. .., incentive." a snort leaving her nostrils.

The question makes her nod. "A teacher, yes. And I am the local nerd. I teach IT, all there is to know about the marvellous world of computers." not that she really seems to be the nerd type for some reason. "It's been ..., an experience. My first semester teaching you know? Still getting used to it."

There is a .., happy vibe to Happy harbor, the bright colors on the walls, ample corridors. Looking very new too. All in all one of those schools that seems to have funding.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein nods and says "I know a bit on that but more the nuts and bolts side of it. Between some of the newer cars and aircraft, about need to add an IT degree to the engineering one I am working on." He offers with a smile "This will be my first time teaching as well, maybe you can give me some pointers " He grins. He does duck under any banners or such as they go, seeming to be used to such behavior. "And na, was no beating not even any real mean spiritedness, but think more a drill sergeant who actually liked you." He looks around and says "Looks like the school here might be new with us?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Hardware kinda guy." Daisy nods her head. Yea, she knows the type. "I know my way around the hardware side too, but my focus has mostly been on the software end of things. More my jam, you see?" though she does skip on mentioning being quite the accomplished hacker. Noone needs to know! And she is a white hat now afterall. No more Dark Skye.

"And yea? Working on an engineering degree?" But then she laughs briefly at the request for pointers. "Well, when they misbehave cross your arms, give 'em a mean look. That works wonders. And probably will work a lot better than when I do it to my students." yes, most likely!

"Have you spoken with Doctor McIntyre?" She then asks, then glances about the halls."Sorta new. We have funding so we can make the school not look like it's falling apart you know?"

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein says, "Just the hiring process nothing indepth or anything he admits. He grins a bit and says "Well can try giving them look my mom gave me growing up, if I can pull it off the whole school may behave." He joked a bit more, and says "Ya, thought about working at Space X, my mom works for them, and it has always interested me."
