Sam Guthrie would have gotten Doug's help to do a bit of cyber stalking. He found out where Steph lives, and what times she is most likely to be at home. He prepared himself for the trip, and headed over. He drove his car here, not wanting to give other things away. So, now finds Sam heading to knock on Steph's door, hoping their timing has worked out to find her home, and partially hoping it didn't.

The little apartment complex is in Widowstone in the Bristol section of Gotham City. One of the notable bits for that township is also housing the sprawling home of one Bruce Wayne. Though this section of the town is far different than the area where the affluent live.

The little two-story townhome is well-kept as Sam knocks on the door. After a bit there's a sound of footsteps descending stairs. He might note the change in lighting in the peep hole as someone looks out. Then the sound of a chain being unlatched and the deadbolts turning and the door opens, revealing Stephanie Brown. She's in shorts and a Gotham Knights t-shirt.

"Sam," she says with a smile, recognizing him from the graduation party at Warren Worthington's swank penthouse in New York City. "You're a surprise to see. But a welcome one. Come in, what's going on?" she asks, moving aside so he can enter.

Sam Guthrie will step in and says "Um yea, sorry to just sorta drop in on you but Ah needed to talk to you. " he will tell her. His expression not that of uber bad news like a death, but a seriousness to it. He will pull off a Yankee's ballcap he was wearing as he enters, "You have time, maybe we could sit down and chat for a bit?"

Stephane moves aside as Sam comes in. She closes and locks the door behind him. "Sure," she says, her expression gathering in a little worry as Sam gives her a foreboding feeling with his heads up on the talk. "Go ahead and have a seat," she offers. "I'll grab some sodas."

She disappears into the kitchen, returning after a few moments with a pair of Cokes cold from the fridge. She sets one down on a coaster for Sam and then takes a seat on the touch, pulling one leg up beside her as she turns towards him.

"What is it, is everyone ok?" she asks him. "Something about Roberto?" she asks worriedly.

Sam Guthrie he will moves to have a seat looking around the place a bit as he waits. When she returns he will thank her and take a sip of the coke. He seems to think a momement and says "He will be ok, but yea Berto and some others he was with on his trip, had an accident." He tells her. It is not fully the truth but not fully a lie either. "He was hurt and is going to take a bit to get back into his normal shape, but he should fully recover." He pauses a bit and says "But right now there is a problem."

Stephanie's hand grips her can a little tightly as Sam talks of Roberto being hurt. "What happened to them?" she asks. "He's going to be ok? What kind of injuries does he have?" she adds in a voice laced with concern.

Stephanie's drink is forgotten for the moment as the last part of what Sam says sinks in. "What kind of problem?" she asks, her mind racing ahead and thinking of all kind of possibilities. None of which are probably likely given she has no idea where he was or what accident or what kind of injuries he sustained.

Sam Guthrie says, "He had a blow to the head, and , god I know this sounds like some soap opera, but he has amnesia, to the point he does not even remember me.." He will reach to take Steph's hands in his around her drink. "With time, he should recover, and it could be quicker than we expect it to be, but he is going to have to be with the specialist for a while probably, and Ah thought Ah should come let you knw.""

The girl's soft blue eyes widen as Sam explains the predicament that he says Roberto has. "He doesn't even remember you?" she asks. She wants so desperately to ask if he remembers her. But doesn't, this isn't about her.

God I hope he remembers me.

"I'm sure he'll be able to get it back, Sam," Stephanie says, trying to be positive and encouraging. "How much has he lost then? Does he remember school and his family, or just some more recent things?" she asks. She rests the soda can on her leg, leaning it against the other, while her hands wring each other nervously.

"Is there anything I can do to help? And... oh his mom. How is she handling it? I should go and see if her if she's still in town. Where is he, is he anywhere we can go see him?" Stephanie asks

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie shakes his head, and says "He can't have many visitors yet, but Ah will try to make sure as soon as he can and the doctors are ok with it, your able to se him." He sighs a bit and says "Almost all of it, ah honestly aint even sure he would remember his Ma right now." He admits to her."I probably should go see his ma too, if you want company with it, Ah can go with you." He should recover, as Ah said he has some specialists best in the world looking out for him. The thing is not sure if it will be days, weeks or months." He admits to her. "Ah maybe able to get something to him if your wanting to send something but can't make any promises for sure.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
Stephanie's gaze drops from Sam, looking down at her lap as that sinks in. Days, weeks or... ulp. Months. "But they think he'll be ok in the end," she repeats, lifting her eyes back up to Sam. If he'd had ever had any doubts about how she felt about Roberto, just seeing the worry in her face might be enough to calm them.

The young woman gives a quick nod. "Yes, I'll... I could write some things for him... does he have his phone as well? I've been messaging him but hadn't heard back. And... um... oh I know what I can do... some pictures and... yes, I'll give you some things for him," she says. Having a bit of a plan now, something to do, seems to be helping her deal with it. "How are you handling it? And his other friends?" she asks.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie says, "Ah have full faith the doctors will have him back to his old self, well that or Magnum Pi, he might have a stronger connection to that than even himself." He tries to joke a bit. "I am pretty sure his phone was destroyed." He frowns a moment as he thinks about something but continues "Well there were a few folks in the accident, a couple who were hurt worse physically than him." He admits "We are trying to be there for them and make sure everyone is ok." He admits "It is tough but gotta have faith and hope. Berto is family, and will do everything can for family." It does seem to be hard on Sam that his friends were hurt but he is more worried about them than himself. "I can make sure once he has a new phone your name and number are in it, if the docs ok it.""

Stephanie nods to that. "I appreciate you doing that," she tells him. "And also, for coming by to tell me," she says, looking down with her thought. Her eyes fall on her forgotten soda can and she finally picks it back up. Stephanie opens it and then rises from the couch, moving to pace slowly back and forth on the other side of the coffee table.

She punctuates one pass down the room with a sip of the soda before turning. "I can... I'm thinking some photos of places he's been. Familiar things. If he doesn't remember then they may help, and if he does, something to lift his spirits," Stephanie says as she thinks. "Man. Just when things... life... seems to finally be going smoothly, this sort thing just... jumps out from out of nowhere," she says with a shake of her head.

"Is there anything else I can do? Any of his friends need help or... just a chance to get away and not be thinking about it so much?" she offers.

Sam Guthrie says, "Ah will be honest, not sure how much you could help right now, but I will make sure your in the list of folks offering to help if there is any way you can. " he hmms thinking about it and says "The photos and such could help," He does think of another possible helpful thing, but maybe best tried with others first. "Ah gotta admit it is good to see your first instinct is trying to help, have heard a lot about ya from Berto, but nice to see your as good a person as he believes in ya."

Stephanie pauses to take a sip of her Coke. The comment from Sam puts a soft smile on her face. "Thank you. That means a lot to hear. I know someone like him can attract... ah, let's call it 'a type'. Which in my case I refer to that type as 'Tinsley'," she says in a wry tone. Sam might have heard about Roberto having a date with a Tinsley, daughter of family friends.

Stephanie says, "I hope his mother's doing ok. Is she here in Gotham still, do you know, or did she travel... where is he anyway? Is he back home?" she inquires of the Kentuckian. "Silly thing, but here I am thinking, darn it, he isn't going to make my graduation party now. Little things, just, was looking forward to my friends meeting him there," she says.

Sam Guthrie looks to her and says "He is in the states with the specialists, his mom, Ah aint 100% sure, but if she aint near by Ah wager she will be soon." He smiles a bit and says "Yea, some expect me to be a hanger on type case of Alexis' fame and such so I understand." He hmmms a bit and says "May sound like an od idea, but if you want, Ah can come to the party, maybe wear a go-pro or something and record it for him.

Stephanie's face lights up a little bit. "You'd be very welcome at the party Sam. You and Alexis both. Any of Roberto's friends who would like to come, maybe it can help be a good distraction for a day. The trip, they were others from your school too? Are the others in ok shape?" she asks.

Stephanie goes over to a small desk and shuffles through some papers. "Here are the details. Beach party here at the apartment complex. Pool, sand volleyball. Pig roast," she says, bringing the invitation card with the details over to Sam. "Just want people to have a good time and celebrate with me," she says with a smile.

Sam Guthrie nods a bit and takes the card "Yea, there were a couple others from his class, and some teachers "All are pretty rough, most are expected to make at least close to a full recovery." He does not bring up Julian in that."Sounds like it will be fun, and will try to make it. " He looks at the date "Ah think I have that night off work, and if not will see if ah can switch." He grins and says "And as for meeting your friends, well." He does a soso impression of Berto, and says "It will just give a chance to shower you with attention a second time, and party more."

Stephanie gives a soft smile at the imitation. "I was already missing him, just thinking he was away for awhile unexpectedly," she says. "Now... well, probably, you know," she says, motioning with a hand a little higher up. "Next level missing. Especially now it's summer and we're both free and no school to compete with."

She takes a sip of her Coke. "I really appreciate you coming all the way out here to tell me," she says. "How are things going for you with Alexis? Roberto had mentioned she had some family squabbles to work through. Everything ok there?" Stephanie asks as she moves back over from her pacing to take a seat on the couch.

Sam Guthrie makes a soso motion. "Her and her dad aint going to see eye to eye any time soon, but she is doing pretty good with the rest of her family. Ah think she and me are doing well, being out on her own is taking some getting used to, but she is making it work. Ah will admit Ah worry al the new stuff is a bit much for her but got faith."

Stephanie settles sideways on the couch, facing towards Sam as she listens to what he has to say about his girlfriend. "Well, I know what it's like not to have the same views as a father," she says in a wry tone of voice. "I hope it works out for her. If there's anything I can do to help there, let me know. Would be great to get a chance to get to know her better too," Stephanie says.

"Maybe once Roberto is back on his feet we can call meet up together and go out sometime," she says. "And hey, if another friend she can bend an ear with would help, I'm her girl," the blond says in an upbeat voice. "So now that you're graduated, what kind of plans do you have, Sam? Are you going on to college?"

Sam Guthrie looks over and says "well I have been doing some serious consideration of joining the police Academy, even did a ride along here in Gotham a few weeks back. Figured even though am looking more at working somewhere in New York, a ride along here should show some of the real sides of things.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
Stephanie's face lights up in a smile. "Really? Police academy? That's awesome," Stephanie says. "I've got a friend, Barbara, who was a cop. And her father is police commissioner in Gotham. So when you graduate if you're looking for a job, I can try to put in a good word," she offers. "Commissioner Gordon, really great man. And... well, Gotham can always use the help, to be honest," she says. "So if you're looking for a place you can make a difference? This could definitely be it."
