Betsy Braddock has posed:
While the facade is finished on the outside, the inside is still chaos. There are pieces of furniture still wrapped in plastic, being brought in, and piled around the men that are still working on ladders to install the complicated lighting system. The sound of drills, the occasional hammering, the smell of fresh paint - it's all wonderful to Betsy.

The woman behind the new club is in the middle of the chaos, standing out by the sheer nature of being female, on top of her natural 'presence' that she's cultivated as a model. Purple hair is up in a bun, anchored with a pencil. She's in a crisp, tailored deep aubergine button down, left untucked over her black pants, paired with heeled boots. She's holding a clipboard, and balancing two cell phones. There are small silver hoops in her ears, and a matching silver chain with a pendant around her neck. She will talk to a workman, offering smiles, admiring the work being done. It's like watching a daydream coming to life.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein comes backing into the club, he is ducking down "I know, I know Fred, they are glasses, they are fraagillleeee" He plays out the word for effect. " Once inside the huge mohawked man will straighten up. "Look you said you needed help, your dad's normal delivery guy called in sick, I am willing to help, but you keep treating my like I am some giant Klutz carrying a few hundred dollars of glassware." He smirks a bit and looks around as if trying to see where this lot should go.

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy looks up at the sound of talk about glassware. She looks almost as excited as a kid at Christmas or her birthday party, the way violet eyes are lit up and there's a glow about her. A smile breaks out over her face, as she points towards one of the bars. She'll move with the click of heels on the floor, towards the black laquered. "Wait. Which glassware is this? For upstairs or downstairs?" Of course she had to get different glassware for the separate floors.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein looks over and will offer the lady a smile and a shrug of the big shoulders. "Pardon me." He will say before shouting out the door "Fred which glasses are these." Fred will call back with the number, and seems these are both bottom crate goes up stairs and the top if for the main room. The big man will let Betsy know and when directed to put the crates down behind the bar, and picks the one for upstairs back up "So, where ya want these ma'am." It seems the big man while a bit punk looking is polite at least, and does not seem at all bothered by the weight of the crates.

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy chuckles at the yelling, she's become quite accustomed to it, with the workmen of all shapes and sizes, from plumbers and electricians to carpenters and painters. She will smile up at him again, not seeming the least bit put off or intimidated by his size or look. "This way, I'll show you. Do be careful, lots of things still being done, I wouldn't want you to get hurt." Though she knows if he /did/ trip, she could easily save him and the glassware, but she's not trying to show off at the moment.

She will cross the floor as if it is a catwalk, and there is nothing in her way. She will lead the way up the curved staircase, and he can see the change from the darker tones of the first floor to the lighter, softer tones of the second. "Just this way, over there by that bar, please, if you wouldn't mind? I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name?"

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein will move the crate to one hand under it one on the side steadying it while going up the stairs. "Albert, but you can call me Al." He offers. He does take the crate and moves to put it behind the bar she motions to." He will then once he is standing up again, take a moment to look around the place "Nice, members only lounge?" He will ask her, and gives her a better once over now that he does not have to worry about dropping stuff.

Betsy Braddock has posed:
She's not unaware of the strength he's displaying, but she /is/ making this a mutant friendly place. She even found some mutant craftsman to hire to build and put the place together. She flashes him a mega-watt model perfect smile. "This? No. This is just the second floor." She tips her head to the mirrored door. "That's the... special lounge."

She will pause, looking up at him again. "So, have you encountered issues finding work or anything, being different?"

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein 's brow raises a bit and says "Different?" He does not catch her meaning at first as while his height is up there it is in human sizes.. barely. He will run a hand over his head and the mohawk, and says "Ah the look na, not to bad, if I need to I can pull it back into a pony tail. " He admits. He smiles a bit "Actually am just helping Fred out a bit, normally am a mechanic, and if you can believe it a teacher." He sounds as if the last is a bit new and surprising to him even.

Betsy Braddock has posed:
She laughs, shaking her head just a bit. "I meant as a mutant or a metahuman, not your punk rock style, Al. With your size, you could be fairly strong just as a human, but not strong enough to carry both of those crates in, and one hand one of them up the stairs without breaking a sweat or a heavy breath." That smile is lingering, softening her eyes. "Mechanic and a teacher, you say? What is it you teach, Al?"

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein will run the head through his hair again, but the mohawk has staying power it seems "Most folks don't notice as long as I keep it in the close to normal limits." He admits "I just got a job assisting and subbing at Happy Harbor for shop and Phys Ed. " he admits "Not really long term plans there, but figure a year or two while am finishing college would lok good on resumes and such."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy will smile at him. "I'm not most folks, thankfully. I notice such things, but then again, I have many friends who are mutants or special in some way like that. You might have noticed some of the workmen downstairs are visible mutants. I'm wanting this to be a place that's friendly to people such as yourself."

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein nods his head a bit and says "A good idea, but not worried about it cutting into the popularity of the place? I mean some people will come cause they think it is cool or what not, but might be a target for some bad folks, hope ya got decent security for the place. I mean here near the Tower might help keep people from being too stupid."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
There's that brilliant smile again. "No, I'm not worried about it. I have plenty of high society and celebrity friends to keep it glam and the people coming in. And I have an excellent head of security, though if you ever want a part time gig as a bouncer, I'd be wlling to put you on the roster."

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein smiles a bit and says "Well if I end up needing some extra cash I will keep it in mind. So, your Elizabeth Braddock right?" He will ask recognizing her from the Modeling but using her full name, that she is probably credited as. "I might have to consider it to try to be able to get in not sure I would get in here most nights. not exactly high profile myself."

Betsy Braddock has posed:
"Betsy, please. But yes, that's me." She may blush a little. "I'm surprised you recognized me, I don't look much like my magazine covers currently." Being dressed down, and her makeup being natural. There's a chuckle, before she will hold out a glossy silver business card. On the front is a spiky petaled flower design. "USe this, and you can get in to see me."

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein will take the card and look at it a moment before pulling out his wallet and sliding it in to keep it safe. "Well, I think it might be a bit hard not to recognize you." He admits to her. He looks around the place, and says "It looks like it should be a cool place, when you planning the grand opening?"

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy Braddock smiles, flushing pink. "You'd be amazed. I can walk anywhere in Manhattan, and most people don't recognize me." Of course, she can illusion herself to present a different look to discourage recognition. "I'm hoping it will be a cool place, that means success. As for the grand opening, I'm not quite sure, yet. Have to get all the fixtures in place, make sure everything is up to code, all that boring stuff."

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein nods his head and says "Well Fred's dad made sure we had a truck load of stuff to bring in." he smirks a bit as Fred is probably wondering where he is off to. "Well I would be surprised, lovely lady and very distinctive. "So, you enjoy the club life, dancing and the loud music all around?"

Betsy Braddock has posed:
Betsy shrugs. "I enjoy the dancing, the music, getting lost in a crowd well enough, sometimes. I just want to enjoy myself and offer people a different experience, somewhere new and exciting." Her phone goes off, and she glances at it with a frown. "I'm sorry, Al, I have to take this. I'll see you around?" She'll smile as she answers the phone, stepping away from him towards that mirrored glass door.
