Location: Gymnasium - Titan's Tower
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Heather Danielson, America Chavez

Heather Danielson has posed:
It is always amusing how, while she has super strength, it always seems to Heather like she is the weakling on the team. The fact that she looks like a cheerleader or well.. the bikini model that she actually -is-, and can reach weights upward of ten tons, she still feels a desire... no a need, to improve her strength.
Now, the way the human body strengthens muscles is by working them out to the point of damaging them, and then healing stronger. Healing is the one thing Heather does better than anything else. So realistically, she should be able to improve her strength without too much trouble. But she's pretty much reached the limit of what her body can handle.
Despite that, she finds herself in the gym a lot... sweating profusely as she lies on the bench press station. Now, the skinny model pressing twenty one thousand pounds... due to gravitic tractor pressor beams... might catch some people off guard. But there are those for whom that wouldn't at all seem unusual.

America Chavez has posed:
America makes her way into the gym. One of the nicest things about the tower is all the amenities, and so, the fact that it's got not just a gym, but a pretty nicely set up gym, gives her a definite place to go. Seeing someone else there just makes it more appealing. She starts over towards Heather, who's working the weight bench, and grins.

"That's it, you can do it!" She says, trying to encourage the other girl, who she sees sweating and working hard.

Heather Danielson has posed:
In fact, Heather's weight is actually three hundred pounds over her record. A record that is displayed on the wall beside her station. She's trembling in the arms as she grits her teeth and pushes with all she has. She gets the weight up about six inches off of her chest... and then she grunts. Hearing a voice, she says one word... "Spot?" As her arms begin to lose the battle with the bar she is pushing. IT is obvious she hates giving in, giving up, failing, but she has given it everything she has, and she's frustrated and angry with herself. But for now, she just doesn't want ten plus tons coming down on her neck.

America Chavez has posed:
America nods, and hurries over to the bench. She grabs the bar, and immediately takes the weight off it. "Got to be careful. Shouldn't be pressing this much by yourself." She looks to the wall. "You already nailed it. Relax.

Heather Danielson has posed:
In fact, it looks like Heather's forearms were pushed a bit too far. Like she broke some blood vessels under the flesh. But as you watch, that damage appears to erase itself. "I mean.. I could have asked the computer to turn it off but... habit, y'know?" she asks with a shrug as she sits up and just sits there with her arms resting in her lap.
She turns her head and looks up your way, sweat dripping off of the honey blond hair over her eyes. "Haven't met you yet." She adds, "And I'd offer a handshake, but I don't think I Can lift my arms right now."

America Chavez has posed:
America sets the bar back on the rack, and then looks over to Heather with a grin. "It's okay. I'm America. And we can save the handshake till you're not all jelly-arm. You doing okay there?" she nods to the momentary blotchiness under the skin.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Huh?" asks Heather as she looks and watches the blotches fade. She shrugs and smirks. "America huh? Someone had patriotic parents. I love it!" she admits.
Then she lies back down on the bench and turns her head your way, those baby blue eyes sparking with amusement. "I'm Heather." She remarks, "They call me Knockout.... unfortunately." But smirks a bit. "So... another one stronger'n me huh?" she asks. And that's when you figure it out. She really doesn't like being considered 'weak' compared to her teammates.

America Chavez has posed:
"Born on the Fourth of July and all that, yeah. America Chavez. And the all-too-creative name "Miss America". The Latina shrugs sheepishly, and then says "I guess, sure. It's not a big deal, though. There's more to doing this kind of work than just being strong."

She sounds like she actually believes it, not that she's just being patronizing. "Your heart counts for more than your muscles."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Tell me that when your whole schtick is being strong... and I mean the healing factor. But that's my entire thing here. Unless maybe experience posing for a camera counts for superhero work." offers Heather as her head turns back and her eyes stare towards the ceiling.
"I know you're right. But there are times when it's hard to be on a team with two Amazons. Y'know?"

America Chavez has posed:
America nods. "Sure. But think about people like Robin. I mean, no superstrength, not bulletproof, none of that. He gets by on what he knows. Everybody has strengths. Experience being on camera can definitely count. Sometimes you have to be the public face of confidence. Knowing how to talk in front of people can really make a difference. You have that kind of all-American look that people like."

Heather Danielson has posed:
Smirking, Heather turns her eyes along your way, "Oh... I get that. But Robin's whole thing is his skill and such. My thing -is- strength." But she shakes her head and shrugs, "Sometimes I think I am -too- All American." Then she snorts and sits up before turning and standing and offering a hand, "Oh ignore my bull. Sometimes I get frustrated when I don't reach a goal I set for myself. I'll get there." She says emphatically. "But right now, I need -food-."

America Chavez has posed:
"It's okay. You'll get it. I can tell. You've got that kind of drive." America takes the offered hand with a smile, and will move to help tug Heather up to standing. "Food is always a good idea. Want to pop down and get something here?" She'll reach out with another hand, grabbing one of the gym towels to offer it to Heather.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Taking said towel, Heather offers a smile. "Sounds great. If you don't mind eating with a girl who desperately needs a shower." she says with a rueful shrug, "But.. food is a necessity first. I burn calories like five times faster than normal people. Healing factor needs fuel and all."

America Chavez has posed:
"Thankfully, my powers don't include any kind of super-senses." America says, a wry tone to her voice. "And besides, a little perspiration after a healthy workout is a GOOD look." she says. "Gotcha, though. Let's go see what we can find, and get our food on. Gotta be some kind of high-protein in here."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"God, the other day, a SHIELD agent gave me an almost flavorless protein bar. But it had something like five thousand calories in the one bar. I begged them to let me buy a case of those things for field use." says Heather as she dabs at her face with the towel, and then wraps it about her neck to drape over her shoulders.
Then she reaches for the bottle of water she had nearby, and takes a sip from it before gesturing to the door, "Shall we?"

America Chavez has posed:
America nods. She starts out of the room with Heather. "You should get some of those protein shakes, or protein powder. Or protein something. I admit, I'm not really up-to-speed on the whole "protein/calories/muscle mass kind of thing. So where you from, Heather?" Being a traveler, that always makes her curious.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Missouri." offers Heather with a shrug, "And that's a good idea. Maybe just keep some packets of powder on me so I can mix it with water in the field." she states as she steps towards the exit, before pausing outside the door to gulp down the rest of her water, her throat working rather quickly there.
She lowers the bottle then, and pitches it into a trash can, "Let me start by saying I'm sorry." she adds, "So many woman hate me for how much I each without getting fat."

America Chavez has posed:
"Huh? Girl, never apologize for bein' who you are. You're unique, with all your strengths. Take pride in that." America grins. "Though the whole perfect figure thing is a little disheartening.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Oh, the figure takes work like anything else." Heather remarks as she places a hand on the softly curved six pack that she is about three situps away from fully forming. She shrugs and shakes her head, "I just don't put on extra mass from eating so much. I still have to work out to keep it -fit-."
That said, she steps over to the elevator and presses the call button.

America Chavez has posed:
"Well, you do pretty good at it. You're looking good. Sweat and all." America smiles, and steps into the elevator as it arrives.
