Peter Parker has posed:
Food trucks are a godsend. How else can you find the food you like at 10 pm without a reservation?

This, however, is more than just a pit stop on a patrol. This is a place to meet on neutral ground...for weightier subjects.

Plus, it's been awhile since he met with Kaminari, and he felt brave enough to say they were more than just acquaintances. Maybe even friends? Hmmm...maybe a little premature. Just have to wait and see.

Right now, he was sitting on a streetlight, hoping Kami will show and checking out the menus of the various trucks. He was thinking either Mexican or Italian tonight...

Kaminari has posed:
Kaminari has only just recently been introduced to the wonders of Mexican food through nachos, which she instantly came to adore. So the opportunity to try tacos alone might have been enough to draw her out even with the attendant risks of running into fans. That it was one of her more interesting and fun new aquaintances asking was the clincher.

So it is we find Kaminari in Central Park late at night. She is wearing a black wig to hide her telltale long white hair, along with a baseball cap and a weak pair of 'sunglasses' that don't actually darken things too much so she can still see despite the low light. It actually likely looks rather suspicious to a third party in this place at this hour, but what is a rockstar to do?

"I would like a Taco," she informs the man working in one of the food trucks as she approaches and pulls out her black sentinel credit card. This may be her first encounter with a food truck.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man has a pretty good idea which one it is. It's the one wearing the Privacy Costume. Ballcap and sunglasses at night. Wasn't there an old 80's song about wearing sunglasses at night?

He drops to the pavement outside the small fence set up around the area, walking through the gate like he was just another guy. Of course, he was wearing the extremely-mended Spider-Suit, and that tended to let people know he wasn't just another guy in a costume. No Halloween costume takes the punishment this one does.

He steps up behind Kami as the guy behind the counter is pointing out to Kami if she wants the fish taco, the steak taco, the chicken taco, or just the beef ones.
"Hey there, Lita Ford." His little 'pseudonym' for her in public. Not many would catch the reference.

Kaminari has posed:
It is a tossup as to whether even Kaminari would catch the reference, not being on Earth during the 1970's, but after ordering a chicken taco she turns around all the same. "Well if it isn't Spider-Man." she says with a wry smile. "You know, you really should get something to wear that isn't so easily damaged." she comments as she looks over his heavily mended suit.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man chuckles. "A man once said that a ship is safe when it's in harbor...but that ships are not made for that." He looks over her shoulder as the guy steps up to take his order. "Chicken quesadilla, sour cream and your green chile sauce, please. And a cherry Coke."
He looks back to Kami. "I'm glad to see you again. I hope you are doing well."

Kaminari has posed:
Kaminari gives Peter an odd look when he attempts sage wisdom, "What does that have to do with getting a stronger suit? Maybe something enchanted or with lightweight armored plates like we were talking about for your sword wielding friend the other day." But she lets it go.

"I am doing okay. There was a mild.. altercation at the airport when that jar arrived. ..it did not go well. But at least the man behind the Kannushi's murder is held by the police now and can be dealt with in due time." One might get the feeling a court date is not involved in her version of 'dealt with'. "I hope things are better with you?"

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey chuckles, but it is a painful reminder of how he ruined his chance at his dream job. But that is not something he wanted to burden her with.

"Well...it's been interesting. Me and my 'sword-wielding friend' actually had to deal with a moderately-serious situation." He looks around, the points out an empty table at the corner of the pavilion. "Maybe we could talk there?"

Kaminari has posed:
Kaminari takes a bite out of her taco and then another, she is clearly a fan of the taste. "Two more of these." she tells the man in the truck offering him her card again. She's still listening though. Once she has received another two tacos she nods to Spider-Man and gestures in the direction of the table. "Of course, after you."

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey gets his food and heads over to the table, pulling out a chair for Kami and waiting for her to sit before he does so.

He starts mixing the small dish of sour cream with the green sauce as he asks, "I did tell you about the sorcerer we believe Sonja was brought back to fight, right? Kulan Gath?"

Kaminari has posed:
Kaminari takes her seat, setting her two chicken tacos down before her. The first one she ordered didn't even last until they reached the table. "These are really good, how do humans come up with so many delicious ideas?" she asks more to herself than Peter as she unwraps her second taco.

"I think you mentioned something about an ancient sorceror causing trouble, yes." she nods as she takes a bite out of the taco.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey chuckles. "I could tell you interesting tales about various dishes if you wouldn't be bored by them. I tend to know a little bit about a lot of different subjects."

He pauses, then speaks again, his voice quieter and more serious.
"One of Gath's minions nearly summoned something...well, I don't know what it was, but they were going to sacrifice two people in order to make it happen, so nothing good. This happened last night at the old ruin of the smallpox hospital on Roosevelt Island. Me, Sonja, and another person was there. Owari. I believe you mentioned her name the last time we talked. She is...very effective at what she does."

Kaminari has posed:
Kaminari considers this for a moment, "Only if you have samples. Otherwise it's just a tease. But I do love to try new exotic foods." Yes, she just called tacos exotic.

"Blood sacrifice? Many demons are summoned through such methods. Though long ago such methods were also used to imbue sacred places with power. The soul has a tremendous amount of Tama, what I guess you might call magic energy. But somewhere as tainted as a Smallpox Hospital, it was probably demons. Yes, Owari serves me. Recently, she has been hunting the Kannushi's killer on my behalf as I look into those demon jars. I guess it's demon season or something. It is good that you stopped the summoning."

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey nods. "We didn't see Kulan Gath there. I think the lead demon was following his orders, though. And I have the uncomfortable feeling this is only the beginning." He paused. "I DID get to say, 'They have a cave troll.' Two of them, actually but still, a bucket-list item I never knew I wanted." He took one cut wedge of the quesadilla, dipped it in the sour cream/green chiles mix, then took a bite. After swallowing, he asked, "What do you know about deities from 12,000 years ago?"

Kaminari has posed:
The cave troll reference seems to go right over Kaminari's head, not the most tuned into popular culture. "Two cave trolls? Well I am glad you came out of it in one piece. Any manner of troll can be quite dangerous." To humans. One can almost hear the unspoken to humans there.

When the subject shifts to deities from 12,000 years ago, she nods, "Time is not something that has a whole lot of meaning to gods. Many of the deities from 12,000 years ago are likely still around now. Izanagi and Izanami for example are much older than that. It would be more a question of which culture's deities and who they have become in the modern era."

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey nods. "Well, one name was thrown in. Him Who Lies Sleeping. I plugged that in and got a different name. Shuma-Gorath. Something called a 'Great Old One.'"

Spider-Man takes another bite of his food, having lifted the mask to nose-level to eat. "It sounds like something out of H.P. Lovecraft."

Kaminari has posed:
Kaminari takes another bite of taco and makes a face, "Shuma-Gorrath? I do not think I am familiar, but it doesn't sound like anything good. Going back far enough into the Depths of history before the world was created when all was still chaos there were beings like Amatsu-Mikaboshi, a veritable force of nature of chaos and darkness. If these great old ones are anything like that you could be in a lot of trouble."

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey nods. "Well...that's why we think Sonja's here. So that she can stop Kulan Gath from bringing this Shuma-Gorath here." He takes another bite. "Anyway...this seemed like something you ought to be made aware of, so that's why I called this little dinner meeting. The more we know, the more we can do. But Kulan Gath is hiding somewhere in the city."

Kaminari has posed:
Kaminari finishes the last of her tacos, "Yes, this seems like something that will need to be dealt with. I would rather not have this city destroyed by some ancient horror, I rather like it here. If you find yourself getting in over your head, give me a call and I will do what I can."
