Cast of Characters: Martinique Wyngarde, Kyani Kohanna, Ariah Olivie

Martinique Wyngarde has posed:
Martinique Wyngarde is not on a 'job' this afternoon, in the sense that nobody is paying her to do this. But she is under the impression that this business is being run by a crime lord that has been attacking mutant communities. And so she is acting. In her trenchcoat, to a trained eye obviously loaded with weapons, she steps into a three story building that, on the bottom floor, appears to be a convenience store.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani isn't happy to be working today at all, he was going to chill and relax at the Tower, but nope Mac needed him for some last minute deliveries AGAIN!!!! Nope he's not happy at all, but he's still getting paid so oh well right? Walking down the street and keeping his speed usage, still this was the last delivery for the day and seeing teh convenience store and the building above it, he is thirsty and well he wanted a Cherry Coke anyways, so he goes inside as he does he sees a woman in a trench coat, odd but ehh. Wait, OH! OH! OH! did the owner get one of those Strippers who just come to a place and put on a show for the person and leaves? Hey he ain't mad, whatever floats their boat. He moves towards the counter, "Hey I got a delivery here." he calls.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Busy day for the convenience store, really. There's someone else in there already, too. Along one of the walls, a pale woman seems to be avoiding the sunlight. Ariah has some very, very dark sunglasses on, and is holding a clear plastic cup in her free hand. The sounds of the door chime earn her a glance, if she can even see over the shelves, but for the time being her attention is focused on the flavors in the bank of slushie machines that hum away--a frozen treat for the summer, to be sure.

Martinique Wyngarde has posed:
Martinique Wyngarde has her hands in her pockets, before pulling one put, and slipping it into her coat, going to her hip inside. HEr eyes move, considering Ariah and then quickly dismissing her. Kyani is lookd at longer, especially the package.

But then she decides to dismiss him, too. Going past him, she steps to an 'Employees Only' door, and grabs it to open it. Which gets the guy behind the counter shouting "No you can't go back there," to which she whirls around and points a large handgun at him before he can pull out his weapon. "Don't move, and everything will be fine."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani didn't notice Ariah until the last moment as he looks around. He smiles to her then to the man at the counter who he was passing the iPad over for him to sign it. Though when the woman in the trench coat moves towards the 'Employees Only' door and she pulls out a gun on the man. "Whoa, whoa.....!" he says as he moves forward a bit, "Yo, how about we put the gun away ma'am and let's not make this be something that it doesn't have to be."

Shit, his day off messed up due to work and NOW some lady in a trench coat pulling guns at people. Kyani shakes his head as he looks at the woman, and he glance at the man behind the counter, "If you have a gun, put it down and back up." he says to him, he looks to her, "Come on, back away and leave or the cops will be called." he warns.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah seems to be rather distantly paying attention. She's decided on her flavor of the day and through the calls to de-escalate and put weapons away, the soft 'hummmmmm' of the slushie machine spewing out globs of frozen goodness can be heard. By the time Kyani finishes saying his piece, her cup is full, and she plunks a straw down into the pale yellow frozen lemonade.

"Robbing local businesses only hurts the community..." comes her voice, soft and cold, thickly accented with French. Then a quiet 'ssiiiiip' as she turns to look at Martinique.

Martinique Wyngarde has posed:
Martinique Wyngarde looks at everyone now, as they react, and step up, speaking out, rather than getting out of the way. Interesting. They'll try to riffle through the surface thoughts of Ariah and Kyani, as she chuckles "Yeah, his boss has told him never to call the cops, ever. That's the last thing they want. Cops coming in here. So yes, put the gun down, have a drink, and get these two their slurpees."

She then looks in the door, and up the stairwell inside, listening for trouble, as the man behind the counter grumbles, and shakes his head. "She's right. You shouldn't rob us. We're an honest, community owned business."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani looks to Aria as she spoke up. He then looks to Martinique as she stands near the door. As she speaks time all around Kyani slows and he is able to take in, he doesn't move closer yet. "What's going on, why are you here?" he asks. "From what i see, you're looking to rob this place as you're trying to go back there." he says to the woman. "How about you come from over there and if their' boss doesn't want the cops here, then we should call the cops."

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Sssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiip. Ariah takes another long, slow drink, eyes drifting between the trio present. "...I can pay for it myself..." she says quietly, then focuses her gaze on Martinique. Her surface thoughts? Lots of French. Thoughts of her slushie. Worries about a potential brain freeze. It's so tasty. Sip it slowly. I don't want to get blood on my clothes again. What's upstairs?

"...does this mean there's something going on here?"

Martinique Wyngarde has posed:
Martinique Wyngarde squints as her eyes go over Ariah's French, and Kyani's rapid fire thoughts, and shakes her head, sighing deeply. "I'm not here to rob a convenience store. I'm here to talk to the men upstairs. Aggressively." The man behind the counter she waves her gun at, and he complies, grabbing a bottle of booze, and pouring himself some, becuase why not?

That leaves Kyani and Ariah. "This isn't your fight. I suggest you don't call the cops, and get out of here before some very bad men stop being very bad men."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Squinting his eyes, and he looks to the man behind the counter, "It's not my business, but now I'm starting to feel this is." he says as he looks to him. "Whats really going on and why do you feel only you can handle this?" he asks as he looks to Martinique, "What is this place really?" he asks the man behind the counter.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Again, the white haired girl blinks. And sips. Her gaze settles on the doorway to the upstairs and stays there. "I had assumed it was a massage parlor... or an apartment..." Still chilly. Still somewhat apathetic.

Martinique Wyngarde has posed:
The man behind the counter is pouring vodka, and answers in his slavic accent. "This is just a simple convenience store," he nods, downing a shot. He doesn't want a part of ANY of this, and if the woman with a gun is going to let him be and drink, instead of trying to hit him and empty the register, he's going to go with it.

So Martinique's attention is fully on the busybodies. "Because I'm the only one who's going to go up there and empty a clip or three."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani shakes his head a bit, "How about not killing them." he says to her. "If they are bad guys and have done some horrible things, we capture them and get the cops and if need be the Feds involved and call it a day. Instead of murdering them." he offers. He looks to the man as he pours himself something to drink. He shakes his head noting the Slavic accent and getting a feeling, that these guys may need to be taken down. THough he needed more information and he needed to get this trench coat woman from killing everyone there.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Meanwhile, Ariah shuffles over to the counter, the short woman's free hand reaching into her pocket. If Martinique trains her gun on her for doing so, well, she won't really react. She seems pretty bent on paying for her slushie, which if unimpeded, happens. A few singles are put on the counter, and she begins to approach the gun-toting woman.

"...do you want help?" she asks, glancing back towards Kyani for a moment. Then back to Martinique. "...could break their legs instead... find out if they've got more..." Ssssiiiiiip.

Martinique Wyngarde has posed:
Martinique Wyngarde does not point a gun at Ariah for going to buy a squishie. The now lightly inebriated man behind the counter will serve her with a chuckle, as the drink has put him in a more relaxed mood immediately.

"Yeah right. The only government in the world I'd ever trust to handle this would be Genosha's and you saw what they did to us, if you watch the news." She opens the door again and starts to go. If Kyani wants to stop her, he can try.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani moves so that Ariah is able to buy her slushie, he does want one himself as he is damn thirsty but there is more pressing matters to handle right now. As he looks over to Martinique, "I do watch the news and honestly I don't feel that going in and shooting up the place is going to help." he says to her. He looks to the guy behind the counter, he seems to be relaxed about whats going on.

Kyani looks back towards the woman in the trench coat as she is to him opening the door very slowly and not even thinking a blur and a streak of lightning moves and appears in the way of the woman. He didn't want to do this but to stop this from happening he will. "How about we not worry about them or you give us a reason why we or I should help you in apprehending these guys and if other officials need to be called in, we should be able to find that out." he tells her and now he's very alert to his surroundings now.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
"Genosha is gone..." Ariah says quietly. Then sssssssiiiiip. "...and now a piece of New York is, too..." she says with a quiet sigh. "...there are bigger problems, by far, but there is no harm in convincing those who profit off of suffering to turn their lives around before they lose their lives..." the girl suggests in that chilly, accented voice. "...we find out if they're bad... we break their legs... they talk.. we go.."

Kyani's rapid motion earns a slow blink, of course, head tilting to the side slowly before it 'gives' and 'falls' onto her shoulder.

Martinique Wyngarde has posed:
Martinique Wyngarde nods to Ariah. "Genosha is hurt, but the Queen is alive, and we're not giving up." Then turning to step, before being abruptly interrupted by Kyani. Flailing momentarily, startled, flustered. Whaaah. What are you doing? Out of my way! Go have some vodka like nice Russian retail employee." She then gives him a thumbs up, and nice Russian retail employee gives a thumbs up back.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani shakes his head, "I don't know what all is going on with Genosha and that is my fault for not keeping up on current events, but doing this isnt' going to help anyone without enough evidence, or you telling us what's more going on. I'm not going to leave, I would rather us all leave now." he says as he looks at her and he waits to see what she does.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
"They can probably hear us down here bickering..." Ariah says quietly. "...we should at least see if the people usptairs are the ungood kind... not that it's any of my business... but I like this neighborhood..." the girl sways slowly, side to side, taking another slow sip of her frozen lemony treat.

Martinique Wyngarde has posed:
Almost as if Ariah were seeing the future, there are sounds upstairs, coming down, and going out a back door. Followed gy the screech of tires. Which leads Martinique to be quiet exasperated. Throwing her hands up, gun and all. "Are you kidding me! Aaah!" Rolling her eyes, she holsters her firearm, and starts to walk out. "too late now, she's right, they heard!"

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Hearing the screeching tires and he hears Martinique cussing him out and he looked towards Ariah, "Shit." with that Kyani is gone. Kyani isn't a slouch and he is able to find the car and he gets the license plate and at the same time he takes pictures of the guys and he comes back to teh store. "Are these the guys?" he shows her the pictures.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah's not that fast. Especially not in daylight. She blinks behind her glasses, frowning slightly at the sounds of escaping criminals. There's a shrug, and she walks back over to the slurpee machine. While Kiyani is relaying the pictures and such, she's going to refill her treat. It's red this time, mixing cherry with the frozen lemonade, and as she walks past the counter, drops a dollar on it to pay for the refill, and moves towards the door.

Another slow sip and she peers up at the sky, then exhales, "...too bright out..."

Martinique Wyngarde has posed:
Martinique Wyngarde is rather surprised by Kyani's move, distracted from her completely frustration at being thwarted from pumping many bullets into each of the men. Fortunately the clerk is too busy drinking to look, but she does. "Yeah he got away and will continue running his organization another day," she nods. "But don't worry, I'm sure the cops will take time from writing tickets and harassing mutants to stop it."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
He shrugs, "Sorry about that, I will issue these pics to the cops if you would like and I can text them to you, though you seem to know who they are already." he tells her. He looks at Ariah and a smiles shows on his face as he watches her.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah's attention is on the door now, even with the eyes on the back of her head. "There will always be more.." she says quietly, then reaches for the pushbar on the door and makes to step outside. For all anyone knows, she probably just a regular old customer. A weird one at that. A weird French one.
