Checking in On Emma
Date of Scene: 22 June 2020
Location: Alex and Emma's suite - Hellfire Club
Synopsis: Warren comes to check on Emma.
Cast of Characters: Warren Worthington, Emma Frost

Warren Worthington has posed:
Preferring to come and see how Emma was doing earlier in the day rather than later, Warren found himself moving through the Hellfire Club in kind of a glum mood. He was far from his usual upbeat self as the concierge gives him the go-ahead to go and see Emma. Finally reaching the door to her apartment, he gives both guards a nod as they give him a quick patdown. They knock on the door and once given approval, open the door to let Warren inside.

He slips inside, "Emma, how are you holding up? I brought you some chocolates. I considered ice cream because that always makes me feel better, but then if it was all melty when I got here, it'd suck."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma perks up a bit, looking up from her tablet as she hears Warren enter the apartment. She gets up, moving from the bed, albeit slowly, into the main living area. "Warren! I'm doing better. I might actually be allowed to do something outside my apartment in a few days. And ooh, chocolates?" Emma looks intrigued. "How are you? I hope you don't mind if we sit," she gestures to the new couch. "I find I can't really be up for long."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Oh? That's good to hear!" Warren tries to offer up his best smile, and then walks over to place the chocolates down on a table. "Yeah, a whole wide variety of some of the best ones in the city. I hope you like them." He slips over to the couch, sits, and puts his hands on his knees, sighing. "I have to admit, I can't help but feel so terribly about all of my friends going through such terrible ordeals." He closes his eyes, takes in a breath and lets it out. "So yeah, um." He nods towards her tablet. "Been catching up on all the latest news or chatting with Alex, I take it?"

Emma Frost has posed:
"Oh. Um." Emma glances to the various stone and meteorite display pieces scattered through the room. "Umm..." She grins a bit sheepishly. "Alex... lives here now. He moved in with me after... everything. We had been planning to after the trip that never happened..." She blushes. "And the tablet? Just working. Finalizing the design for the new club going in on the third."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren blinks, then grins. "Hey, I guess that makes sense. I'm glad that things are going so well with the two of you and that he's sticking around." He glances over at the tablet and shakes his head, "Pft, you should be taking some time off and just hanging with Alex. Maybe plan a new trip to take to get away for a bit." He runs his tongue along his bottom lip. "Could always do the villa away from it all, the four of us. You and Alex, Alison and I. Just let the world tick on by for a week or two without us."

Emma Frost has posed:
"Mm. I may like that," Emma admits. "If Alison is okay with it, I certainly am. And I can convince Alex easily enough." She snags one of the chocolates, popping it into her mouth. "It'll have to be after I'm healed enough to not have to have the damn doctor prodding me every day though. Though the internal damage is healing well. That's the dangerous stuff, I'm told. Once it's completely handled, I should be free to take a real vacation."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Okay, I'll be sure to talk to her about it here soon then. I'm sure that it won't be any problem, she adores you and will want to make sure you have a nice little vacation away from it all." Warren grins as he watches her dig into the chocolates. "Though I guess that Masquerade that's coming up soon will be a good time for a lot of people to just kind of let loose eh? I look forward to showing everyone my costume for this thing. It should get a few people to shake their head at me at least."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma laughs. "I'll be there too, though mostly stationary," she points out. "I look forward to your costume though, for sure." She pats his knee in a friendly manner. "Any hints, or do I have to be surprised?"

Warren Worthington has posed:
"And spoil the surprise? Never. You will have to wait along with everyone else." Warren's eyes sparkle with amusement, "Though I guess one little hint won't hurt too much. I'll be very fashionable."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma grins. "Keep your secrets," she teases. "I'm going as the White Queen," she admits. "Though they are doing some last minute modifications to keep the damn thing from irritating my stitches."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren winces, "Oof, I hope that it won't irritate things too much, but I still look forward to seeing it. You always look amazing at Club functions, well, we all look amazing at these things." He grins. "Anyway, is there anything I can do for you? Or get for you?"

Emma Frost has posed:
"Mm, no, but you're sweet to offer." Emma tilts her head. "I probably won't be up to the school often for awhile-- I'd rather not take a driver, and for a bit I'm having to have one of the club drivers with me instead of taking myself anywhere. So I'd rather not leave the city, truth to tell." She muses. "Though-- I missed your last party at your place. Let me know when you have another one, and I'd be glad to show up. It's nice to get out of the club from time to time."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Understandable, but whenever you do go back to the school let people know so they can give you a proper welcome." Warren grins and then gets to his feet. "I probably won't have another party for some time. It... well, with things being the way they are, I think I would rather throw a party for folks at the school then make everyone coming to the city and risking any thing."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma nods. "Well, if so, I may see if I can swing a ride with you. I'm sure I can manage getting that approved." She grins a bit, grabbing another chocolate. "I hope the others are doing all right," she looks more serious.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Oh, of course. WarrenAir is always happy friendly passengers." Warren winks. "Though, I can always make sure to get one of those special cars for celebrities who want to keep safe and all that, too." He runs a hand through his hair and nods, "Physically I think everyone has mostly gotten back to normal, but I think there's going to be a lot of mental scarring for a while because of it all. I'm not sure how long it will take for everyone to get past that, nor should they try to."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma frowns. "Yeah. Alex wants me to talk to someone, but... I really don't want to. I don't want to relive it, or talk about it. I just want to pretend it never happened."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Hrm, I guess I can get that. I probably wouldn't want to either, but maybe just opening up to Alex isn't the worst thing either. He cares about you and stuff, and he seems trustworthy and all, so it's not like he'll tell others about what gets talked about." Warren smiles.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma considers that. "Maybe. I just don't want to burden him with it. I... accidentally slipped some of it to him, telepathically-- it wasn't intentional. And I think I hurt him." She frowns and looks away. "And I don't want to do that."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren shakes his head, "He cares about you, and given that I care about someone, if that someone was in pain, if they had gone through something traumatic, yeah I would hurt too. Not the same kind of hurt, mind you, but like... you know." He waves a hand. "Like how terribly you feel when something bad happens to someone you care about. Because you hate seeing them hurt and in pain and you wish you could take it all inside of you so that they can just be happy and smile again." He sratches at the side of his head and shrugs. "Like that."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma nods. "Mm. I know." She sighs. "If he's willing, maybe..." she shakes her head. "Or maybe I'll talk to Jean."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren nods and smiles, "Good, Jean is a good person to talk to. Or hell, even Scott, even with how he is. Though.. probably Jean is a much better idea."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma visible cringes when he mentions Scott. "Mm. Not Alex's brother. That's... uncomfortable." She doesn't expound. "Besides, don't want Alex getting jealous." That's lightly delivered and obviously joking.

Warren Worthington has posed:
He snorts, "Shit, it's clear that all the personality genes went to Alex and not Scott, so he has little to be jealous of, let's be honest."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma laughs. "Well, I'm biased, to tell the truth. But I'd agree."

She moves to stand up, and then frowns. "Warren, could you grab me a bottle of water from the fridge? I hate actually getting up and down."
