Cast of Characters: Michael Hannigan, Megan Gwynn, Morrigan MacIntyre, Kaida Connolly, Daniel Hastings

Michael Hannigan has posed:
With the late afternoon in place and students getting out of their respective classes, The coffee bean is experiencing a bit of a rush. Seats like always are scarce. In particular ones where more than one person can sit. The sofas and window seats were the first to go.

But no matter for Mike. He has secured a quite nice table off in the corner of the establishment, far from the windows and most of the jarring movement and he is currently just relaxing, sipping a hot tea, and reading a book. While not a traditional student, he too had business upon the nearby campus earlier in the day. While he typically would wear a knit cap to conceal trademark hair, he doesn't bother today. Not out of laziness but his latest role involved a haircut and growing a bit of stubble. And until the series lets out or his hair grows back, he's milking the newfound anonymity for all it is work.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn just happens to be one said student rushing out of classes. And being an adventurous type, she wandered a little out of her territory to chec out this apparently very popular place. As she steps up to the counter to order coffee with extra cream and sugar (like the needed the stuff!) and a large donught with extra glazing (like she TOTALLY needed that!!).

But noow, she just needs a place to sit. "Ooooooh, I didn't think this place would be so busy.." she pouts. At least she had the presence of mind to hide her wings under a long dark green coat. The bright pink hair is hard to hide though, and really makes her stand out.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Doctor Morrigan MacIntyre was just stopping in for her usual cup of coffee post work. But with the way the redhead looks she might be in for a whole carafe to herself. The violet eyed woman hasn't lost her manners though, she stands in line behind a few people as she orders and there's a smile to those that are awaiting their orders or just sitting down as well. Her violet gaze is bright and attentive as she waits to place her order.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
Slipping into the coffee place, Kaida moves quietly along the floor, slipping past people and under tables as she seeks out the glory of the tasty drinks! She knows it isn't really necessary for her...in any way...but it is so good! She finally reaches the counter, peering up at the section marked 'Mobile Orders' and grins wide. She peeks left, peeks right and then leaps up, snags and leaps down. Then, there's a tall order of some kind of latte held in both arms before her and she happily hugs its wondorous warmth, quickly walking it to under a nearby table and plopping down.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
While Kaida scampers off with her misbegotten goods, Mike turns a page on his book, stretching a leg out under the table as the lack of other occupants makes it easy to do so. Sure he's read it a few times already but its a good book.

As he pauses to take a sip, the glimpse of bright pink in the side of his eye draws his attention to the searching student. No. He shouldn't. But, could be a way to test the look. He gives a small smile towards Megan, "You're welcome to a seat so long as it's not the one I'm sitting in." He looks back to his book.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gets her coffee and there's a look around at seating. She sits at the table beside Mike's, not interrupting the conversation that he was having with the others. The redhead gives a dip of her head to them as she settles down and slips out of her jacket though. "Good evening." she smiles to them. There's a hint of an Irish accent there.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
It just so happens, that Morrigan sits down at Kaida's table! Well, the underside is her table. She's now got a pair of Morrigan legs next to her and then she looks out and over to Mike before she sips some of her drink and mmms, "Minty..." She says quietly to herself and nods her head a little as she sips again, having to shift the cup carefully to drink from it. She then considers the person at her table and peers around the table leg up at Morrigan briefly before looking to Mike and hmms. Should she introduce herself or no...always a coin flip.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Hearing the accented voice and not getting a response from the pink haired one, Mike's head tilts upwards from his book. Pale blue eyes glance towards the violet, as the smile warms a bit more, "Evening to you as well, miss."

The book closes, he can always find the spot later.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gets distracted as she manages to drop a sugar packet on the floor. She gives a smile to Mike, "Rough day at the office." she chuckles as she leans down to pick it up and that's when she sees a mouse. Those odd violet eyes of hers give a thoughtful look and there's a lopsided grin that shows her fangs for a moment, "Hello there." she states. She doesn't have the normal reaction to a mouse that a lot of people do. Which is to throw silverware and jump on the table.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
Uh oh, busted! She looks up from her spot against the table leg at Morrigan and then blinks, "Oh hi." She states and then slurps more of her coffee and then waves a small hand, "Welcome to the underside of the table. It's like this all the time. Perfectly normal, carry on."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Ah." Mike sets the cup down on the table, "So, not a student the-" He pauses as from his vantage point Morrigan just looked under the table and started speaking to the floor. "-n." Curious, the performer tilts his head, craning his neck to look around the opposing seats to whatever it is Morrigan's speaking with. Seeing the visage of a larger than average mouse, a brow arches. "I'm guessing from the voice you're not named Remy..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Oh, okay." Morrigan chuckles to that. "You didn't want to come up?" she asks her. Then there's a look to Mike, "Oh, no, gods no. Not a student. I did my time in college and all of that. I work at Mount Sinai." she tells him. "I'm Doctor Morrigan MacIntyre." she offers in greeting.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"Oh, I mean, sure, though usually people are not excited about me being up top." Kaida grins and then looks to Mike, "Nope, I'm Kaida." She nods her head and then shrugs and leaps from floor to top of table with one easy leap and then sits down quietly on the table against a napkin dispenser.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Doctor?" Mike repeats, "Already? Quit impressive for one who looks so young. Name's Mike Hannigan."

He looks over to Kaida who joins Morrigan and picks up his cup. "Would you mind if I joined the two of you? It'd be easier to chat."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's eyes glimmer for a moment when Kaida comes up and she positions the menu to where the tiny one can have a little more privacy from the rest of the coffee shop. "Fascinating." she states. "I'm Morrigan." she offers. Then there's a look to Mike, "I'll be thirty five on Saint Patrick's Day. We can thank my father for my youthful looks. But it is nice to meet you, Mike." she smiles to that. "And I don't mind another." she adds to that.

Daniel Hastings has posed:
A lanky fellow looking for all the world like he just stepped off the plane comes into the coffee shop with a look of longing in his eyes and following his nose. Reaching into his pocket, he comes out not with a wallet but with a single wrinkled twenty dollar bill as he approaches the counter and.. stares at the menu like it might as well be written in Swahili. In fact, he stands there long enough that he lets someone go ahead of him. Like.. he has no idea what to order.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A smile at Morrigan and she nods, "Thank you." She states and looks over at Mike before nodding to him, "Nice to meet you both." She nods her head and then she picks up her drink and sips at it. Well, picks up the drink that is now hers. She looks over at the other people here from around the menu before giggling a little, "I dont' often get to sit up here anymore."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
With the blessing of the two ladies, he slides out of his seat, taking care to pick up the worn book from the table before moving over to take the seat opposite of Morrigan. "Thank you."

He gives a nod to Kaida, before looking to Morrigan. "Saint Patrick's Day? Really? What are the odds of that?"

He turns his head, looking to Kaida, curiously. "Anymore?" He repeats. "I get that you're a bit short to reach the table from the seat, but booster seats are still a thing." He pauses, "...Aren't they?"

Daniel Hastings has posed:
Daniel Hastings seems to still be at a loss for another few moments but then decides to opt for something simple. "House blend. Black. I'll.. just take a few of these sample.. things." He gestures vaguely to the bin with creamers and sugar. Still a little confused by the experience, he looks a little surprised at the bill.. but pays it. Then he waits for his drink. Fancy. Crowded. He takes his cup and a handful of creamers then turns for the door as if fairly shell shocked by the entire affair as he heads for the door.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to Daniel, but he's busy with ordering and things. So she looks back to Kaida and Mike, "Well, there's a lot of different people in the world. Some people just haven't caught up with the times." she admits to Kaida. "So you're welcome to sit up here with us. Or me." she smiles. Then there's a look to Mike, "Aye, are you a Saint Pat's birthday as well?" she asks him with a chuckle.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A blink and she looks over at Mike befoer she giggles a little, "I'm six inches tall." She nods her head, "A booster seat really isn't gonna help. That and I like kinda like a mouse and most people are uncomfortable with that." She smirks and then looks over at Morrigan and grins wide, "Sure are! I'm pretty sure I could compete with most different people." She laughs a little, her voice carrying just a hint of brogue to it as she then considers, "St. Patties day, huh? Good day."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"The both of us." Mike clarifies. "Anyone who has a problem with you? Just tell 'em to f- off from your quadruple decker booster."

Mike shakes his head, resting the book upon the table, the worn writing indicating it to be a very worn copy of The Sea Wolf. He blinks to Morrigan's question "Oh, Uh no. Nothing really notable about mine. June 3rd. It's just, New York. An accent like that, the timing..."

He looks to the book.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to Kaida, "Now were you born like this or...did something happen?" she asks the mousey girl. "And yeah, it's a pretty good day." she admits to that. Then there's a smile, "I was born in Dublin, so it's even more ironic when that information comes out." she muses. "And I've lived here since I was a child, just got stuck with the accent at times." she smiles.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"Oh, that's where my dad is from." She points at Morrigan and nods before looking over at Mike and then she giggles, "Yeah, well, I also...sometimes...kinda maybe..." She shrugs, "Procure things...for myself because I don't have money." She shrugs slowly and then giggles and shrugs, "Anyway..." She trails off and giggles, "So, I tend to just stay out of the way of people."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"It's not surprising that you'd pick up an accent." Mike muses, looking back to the pair, "You tend to pick up your speech patterns from those you grow up around. And sometimes your speech pattern changes based off the people you're talking to. Hell, I certainly talk different around my aunt than I do my roommate."

He lifts up his cup, sipping his tea while listening to Kaida's situation. "Where did you end up?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to that, "Well, I'd offer you my card, but, I doubt that's going to help things." she tells the mouse. "But, if you need anything I work at Mount Sinai in pathology and I live in greenwich so if you need to seek someone out." she offers to Kaida. Then there's a look to her watch, "I'm going to be late on my meds, but it was lovely to meet you both." she offers.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A blink at Mike and she laughs, "I ended up in a nice little community that lives in an abandoned building." She nods her head and then looks over at Morrigan, "I'm glad to hear it, thank you." SHe nods her head, "And I probably ought to get going, too." She nods her head as she looks over at Mike, "Don't worry, I've survived on the street for years. Kinda easier when you are a tiny person."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"It was nice to meet you too, Morrigan." Nick replies, before glancing down towards Kaida, frowning slightly. He sets his cup down, and reaches into his pocket, pulling out a few crumpled bills. He frowns at the small showing. "...Here."
