A Place for a Murderbot
Date of Scene: 27 June 2020
Location: Maria Hill's Office
Synopsis: Lolita becomes an Agent of Shield
Cast of Characters: Gothic Lolita, Maria Hill

Gothic Lolita has posed:
It's unusual for Lolita to get a direct message from the Deputy Director. Really, she's been rather...well, not bored, because she doesn't really get bored. But feeling underutilized, definitely, other than the brief trip to the Wakandan embassy to speak to Princess Shuri, which was at least interesting even if she didn't overly help majorly.

Walking down the corridor to Deputy Director Hill's office, she stops to nod to the secretary outside, and checks in with her. "I was told to report to Deputy Director Hill? I'm Gothic Lolita."

Maria Hill has posed:
There isn't much in the way of conversation from anyone in Ops as Gothic Lolita is buzzed into the Deputy Director's office. Hill barely acknowledges the gynoid as she enters, working as she is on a desktop computer, a laptop, and three tablets simultaneously back and forth, multitasking like a fiend. The chair in front of her desk is open, and the only real response Lolita gets for a few moments is Hill gesturing to it.

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Lolita patiently waits, standing until the motion comes, then gracefully seats herself in said seat. Careful. The furniture groans just a bit, but considering it's probably been made for other much more famous and heavier than her posteriors, it's probably safe. "You wanted to see me, Deputy Director Hill?" she says simply, as a prompt for conversation more than anything else.

Maria Hill has posed:
Another moment or two as Hill closes up what she's working on. "Yes, I did." She closes the laptop and pushes the tablets to the side, stacking them neatly on top of the closed laptop. "It's come to my attention that you are a very useful... creation. But you are not being utilized. I'm not generally happy with these types of situations, and I thought I might speak to you about the potential of rectifying this." Hill rests her arms on the armrests of her chair. "Or, more to the point-- you're sentient. Therefore, I see no reason why you should be stored like a piece of equipment."

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Lolita says solemnly if dryly. "I am very grateful for not being put in a closet, yes." She tilts her head slightly. "But as you say, my abilities are greatly underutilized. Did you have a specific idea how you wished me to assist SHIELD?" she wonders curiously. "Or are you asking my opinion of the possibilities?"

Maria Hill has posed:
"Well, technically... due to some legalities involving The Vision among others, there is a sub clause of a bylaw that would allow you to serve as an actual agent of SHIELD. I don't pretend to know how you feel about that possibility, but you certainly meet the qualifications as to tests of skill." Hill gives her a considering look.

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Gothic Lolita says immediately. "I would happily serve as an Agent of Shield. Agent Johnson's programming actually makes me strongly predisposed towards that. Not that she altered my basic personality or sentience, but her clarification of my prime directives means that to serve them is to serve the ideals and rules of SHIELD."

Maria Hill has posed:
Hill looks smugly pleased. She takes the top tablet and taps a few things, humming in an undertone. It's a few minutes that passes as she seems to be doing a couple of tasks.... but then. "Welcome, Trainee. You have Rank 1 Clearance, and authorized access to everything a trainee might. If you have any questions or concerns..." she pauses. "You can refer them to Agent Johnson." Hill does have an evil sense of humor.

Gothic Lolita has posed:
A brow quirks delicately at that, a faint curve to her lips. "Thank you, Deputy Director. I assume I am in a probationary period then in order to earn full agent status?" she says simply. Because really, she's a AI. Telling her she has to pass some written exams would be child's play for her for most of it, though she fully understands if they wish to test her ability to deal with different situations. Reality is rarely in the same realm as multiple choice questions.

Maria Hill has posed:
"Correct. Mostly learning the ropes, so to speak." Hill looks at her. "If there is nothing else, welcome onboard, Trainee."

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Lolita digests that, then nods, before getting to her feet. "Thank you for the opportunity, Deputy Director." she says simply. "I will...make you proud." She turns on her heel easily and heads back out, then slows a bit. Oh. She looks down at her current lacy outfit, then sighs. First, a trip to the quartermaster to requisition a agent's uniform....
