Jon Kent has posed:
Two hours ago, Avengers satellites have picked up movement from Brainiac's skull ship orbiting Saturn's moon Titan. The promised final battle was about to begin.

30 minutes ago, above New York City, Brainiac's skull ship had arrived, tentacles from beneath the ship inch out and extend, beginning to start an attack on the city's as a whole.

10 minutes ago, the drones had been sent out from the ship to begin their attack. Many had been augmented just as Brainiac had aimed to do. Each drone has a power, they are varied, of course. Much like their mutant counterparts, the drones are more resilient than had been seen before.

Over what was once Mutant Town, a battalion, one of many that had been sent around the city, began their assault.

Chaos has come to the city once more, but the brave heroes of the world have prepared for this. It was showtime.

Bruce Banner has posed:
"Okay, Bruce, you can do this," Banner murmurs to himself, seated in one of the crash seats of the Avengers quinjet, "You aren't the Hulk. You control the Hulk. You tell the Hulk what to do. The Hulk follows your lead."

It's a little bit creepy. The weedy scientist seated with his hands lifted to grip the seatbelt harness he wears, muttering to himself and staring at the floor. He takes a deep breath, shaking his head, muttering to himself more. Both hands leave the harness to gingerly remove his glasses, pulling a case from his breast pocket and setting them inside before reaching between his feet to stow them in the compartment there.

The harness is released, and Banner rises unsteadily to his feet. He staggers around on the deck plating, shrugging out of his rumpled suit jacket and throwing it in a careless bundle into the same compartment as his glasses. The button-down shirt he wears is removed also, revealing a concert tee for the band Aqua that he must have pulled out of a donation bin. He leaves that on, hanging off the support railings above and staggering around on the deck.

"Think angry thoughts. Angry thoughts. Tony wins a Nobel prize. Hank had a supermodel wife. Coke doesn't taste as good anymore."

Tony Stark has posed:
"I want to remind everyone," Tony's voice in the communications, "That just because I am not in a suit physically, that doesn't make my suit disposable." At first glance, it did appear Iron Man was present with the group, with his own swarm of STARK robotics and drones that are going to work to handle a lot of the drone bulk. Or try to, anyway.

The communications is being worked on by Tony from his console setup in the medical facility he's stuck in, getting the connection between the Justice League, Fantastic Four, and the Avengers set up. He's also remotely keeping all of the satellites working, which is something of a feat (that has been brought up a few times, 'subtly', by Tony).

The big gun, well, somebody else will have to babysit that drone, perhaps even aim it. It's big, like a motorcycle in scale, and does have hover capacity: they'd noticed it could move during the 'issues' the previous day, after all.

Johnny Storm has posed:
The Fantastic Four have sent out a warning to their allies of the approach of the alien warship towards Manhattan, on the off chance that their own systems hadn't yet detected the threat's approach, and there ahead of time has been the one and only Johnny Storm, founding member of the Fantastic Four, and one of the very first super heroes to be thrust into the limelight, at least in the modern era.

He has been in his flame form for about as long as the arrival of the ship over the city, a flaming ball of fire darting across the Manhattan Skyline, with lines of fire blasting out at the drones released, and generally doing his best at a delaying action for the arrival of other groups of superheroes. The proximity of the Four Freedom's Plaza to Mutant town giving Johnny the perfect location to anchor from.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha keeps crouched beside the hovering weapon - her acquisition, and her responsibility; in the short term at least - and casts a brief worried glance to Banner, before responding to Tony, "It's on a scale right now. I'd rank it 'more disposable than the Earth'. But we'll be careful." She says dryly, if distractedly. There's a lot on her mind right now, the most mortal person on the team. Though she may have the biggest gun, at least.

Alexis Carr has posed:
Alexis Carr had been playing nearby. Her tips can had a couple dollars in it, and her fingers were warmed up in the city that never sleeps -- and then the news came. People ran, screaming for their lives, but just this once she's not going to stand by.

She leaves her tips at the piano. The dark-haired teen was joining late to the party, dashing along the streetside. She has an earbud in, her phone tucked into her pocket as her eyes opened wide, seeing the scale of Brainiac's invasion -- but her hands curl. She takes two steps forward, and then with a fiery blast she launches herself into the air and onto a fire escape, and then to a roof top.

Her hands glow brilliantly as -- without as fancy a fire as Johnny Storm's got, she begins lobbing volley-ball sized gouts of flame through the air at the drones, even as her sneakers smoulder beneath her.

Carol Danvers has posed:
Heck y'all as soon as the early warnings systems went off Carol .. actually stayed put and called Tony. She absolutely wanted to make sure this wasn't some more of Brainiac's fuckery to lure her out of the picture while he started the ball rolling to destroy the planet. She actually made sure things were triple checked even.

Danvers has some mild trust issues in sensor and communication technology after Genosha and then Mutant Town, at least as far as this hopped up alien invader is concerned.

Thankfully though Captain Marvel is fast when it comes to flying. She took off from the Triskelion up in Westchester and was down in the city surprisingly quickly. Which means she has had a couple minutes waiting for everyone else to arrive because while she is very cocky, even she wants to have some of her allies around when they punch a hole in that skull ship and get down to business.

Never fear though she has been entertaining herself by learning about the Brainiac drones. Mostly through a combination of her fist and photon blasts as she warms up on one of them. Really she is working out exactly how hard these things hit and how much punishment they really take in this new configuration. All the while trying to not tip her hand towards her actual strength since these things are networked. <<Hey all, I can report they seem to definitely be upgraded since the DC battle... one of these things just tried to freeze me with cryokinesis... I ripped it's head off but still they are tougher ..faster.. and zappier than the last time based on all the reports I reviewed.>> over the comms that Tony helpfully linked together. <<Hope you all are almost here .. hey Johnny nice to see you here.. is that Human Torch Jr. down there?>> yah even in the midst of doom Carol has to sass a bit having spotted Alexis blasting with flame hands.

Karen Starr has posed:
Karen is not on the quinjet. Instead, Power Girl is a bullet flying alongside, keeping level and at pace with the plane. If nothing else, she had volunteered for this particular job. Brainiac had already seen her, so that hand had been tipped. Just how ready the AI could be is a question as yet unanswered, and she only knows of one way of plugging in that variable.

Reaching up to her ear, she speaks, letting the rest of the Avengers know what the next step is. "I'll help keep them off your back and meet up with you inside. Good luck."

Then, she's off- as if this entire time, keeping up with the quinjet had been as if holding the engine on idle, because the acceleration from blonde shape to pink blur was near instantaneous. That blurred shape scoops upwards, and begins surging right towards the skullship.

She knows she's not likely to reach it, at least not without resistance, and she'll be even more unhappy if she -does-, but that's not the idea. The idea is to wave a giant red flag inviting the immediate response of the drones, so that the quinjet can slip through with as little notice as possible.

Hal Jordan has posed:
In Brightest Day, in Blackest Night
No Evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might
Beware my Power, Green Lantern's Light

And the Lantern zooms in to the battle field in a flash of green...he's a little disturbed to see the rest of the Justice League not in evidence...but there's a quinjet coming, so maybe it's not so bad after all if the Avengers are jumping in. Good. Meanwhile, Brainiac's ship is up there. He considered opposing the drones outright, like he did the first time, but all that yielded was his ring running out of energy. Gotta be smarter than that. And avoid any drones Brainiac thought to paint yellow. It has occurred to him that Brainiac may have killed a Lantern and grabbed the ring, which is where those green beams came from. He'll have to make a point of retrieving that if he can.

Well...Green Lantern heads towards the ship. If he can draw the drones away from civilians, so much the better.

Johnny Storm has posed:
Alexis' contributions haven't gone totally unoticed by the Human Torch as he has flown above, though with the enormity of the attack he's had a lot of his own things to focus on. "Hey, The Cavalry's arrived finally! Glad you guys are here!" Johnny replies to Carol, "And yeah, she's been here helping out for a bit, not sure who it is down there though! I assume there's a plan of some sort to deal with this ship, yeah?"

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha looks out over the chaos on the ground as she slings a shotgun over her back on a strap across her body, and moves back to Tony's weapon, beginning to flip a number of switches. "I don't see us deploying this thing on the ground." She says as the machine begins to whire to life, slowly building power. "Let me know if this starts disrupting anything. Otherwise just keep us in the air until it's finished charging, and then get me a clear shot from the back of the jet." she calls to the pilot. If it works as advertised, this beam weapon will disrupt the Braniac's ship's shields and systems enough for them to get inside. God willing, maybe it'll kill some drones too.

Tony Stark has posed:
"Let's go around to the south," Tony coordinates, "With the quinjet. Looks like a lot of attention is being pulled by our buddies to the west and northwest here, and the beam from the weapon, ha ha, won't be aimed at my tower. It's seen enough war this week," Tony comments on the comm channel.

Tony's Iron Man suit, remotely piloted, is still within the quinjet, sticking to the Avengers that are physically inside it for now as an armored guard, but other drones under the control of Tony's various AI buzz in to assist with drawing a lot of attention towards areas not occupied by the quinjet: specifically they group up near the fiery heroes, drawing chains of attackers in for the Torch to work with.

"Try not to squish MY drones. You can tell they're mine from the racing stripes, Torch," Tony chuckles.

Alexis Carr has posed:
She might have recognition, but she's not precisely one of the heavy hitters, and there's no one from Xavier's to toll her virtues.

Alexis braces herself, turns, and gives another runn, hopping the alleyway and sliding with melted sneakers along the tar and gravel rooftops, the young firestarter keeps slinging flaming volleyballs of heat -- narrowly avoiding one drone as it comes down. The drone strikes the rooftop hard, shaking the buildling before a hot firefight bursts out on the rooftop, fire on fire as she grits her teeth, and then levels a tightly-controlled line of fire, and causes the drone to break!

"One down -- oh, seventy thousand to go." she mutters as she turns her attention to the next drone -- did... that one have racing stripes?

Who puts stripes on a drone?

Bruce Banner has posed:
"Is that a Sbarro?" Bruce says suddenly, moving to the cockpit to peer out the window at the cityscape bellow, "A Sbarro? What happened to Alfredo's Pizza Café? Are you kidding me right now?"

And there it is. Bruce's usually pasty skin begins to take on an unhealthy green tinge, the muscles at this neck popping out against the skin along with the rapidly-pumping veins. One hand effortlessly tears the t-shirt he wears off, tossing the scraps to the ground as he takes an uncharacteristically heavy step towards the rear of the plane. A moment later, his skin is green and he's rapidly growing - gaining mass until he's too tall to even properly fit in the back of the quinjet, his body crouched over. A heavy fist plows into the opening mechanism, sparking and spewing smoke before the rear of the jet opens up to let in a whirling vortex of air.

The Incredible Hulk flings himself from the back of the jet, plunging downwards like a skydiver without a parachute towards the city below. His bellowing, furious cry ringing through the air as he falls:

"HULK HATE SBARRO!"

Kara Danvers has posed:
The Girl of Steel began this altercation up in space, watching that skull ship approach. Then drones, so many drones, then hit in to her and she went hurtling down through the atmosphere to hit the ground with a massive *boom*. This was not the plan, not the plan at all. These drones weren't behaving like the ones in the simulation.

Kara ducked and weaved the stronger blows, the faster movement. She stabbed her fist in to the weak points, but they're different too. "Supergirl here," she calls out over the T-comms, the Titans linked in to everyone else in this moment of insanity. "The design of the drones have *off* changed a lot. *ah!*"

An energy beam hits her and she starts getting faster, more violent with the drones, tossing one in to another, then taking off in to the sky for them to follow her away from the civilians. Yes, be the tank, be the distraction - that was the plan. "Supergirl incoming,.." she says over comms as she flies like a blur past the quinjet and eyes up toward Power Girl. She's still not quite sure what to call her.. sister? doppelganger? twinsey? alt.me? "Power Girl I'm right behind you."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
The weapon's building hum slowly steadies, various meters are nearly filled, and lights are flashing encouragingly. They're still in the air. That seems encouraging!
Banner begins to to turn green, and Natasha can't help a look of concern, even having known him as long as she has. She backs away a few steps as the jet becomes increasingly cramped, and then shields her eyes when the exit ramp opens, exposing them to the open sky, air rushing past her.
When Hulk leaps free, Natasha steps near the ramp, looking down at the city below and sighs, "... Do your thing, Doctor."
Part of her wants him on the ship. Part of her would like for the ship not to be destroyed before they get out of it. It's a mixed bag.
What she wants most, though, is for the canon to charge, and it makes an encouraging alert sound! "Put our back to the ship! Natasha orders, and the ship turns, the open sky moving around them until the hovering specter of Braniac's ship is in the center of her view. Natasha taps rapidly at a small keyboard on the device, takes a deep breath, and fires, unleashing a large pulsating blue beam with a white core directly at Braniac's ship.

Carol Danvers has posed:
<<Yeah Johnny there is a plan, thin out an approach to the ship and cover the people who need cover.>> yeah she is not saying over comms even with Tony coordinating through his own comms and securing the linked comms about the weapon yet. The last thing she wants is Brainiac really hard core taking on the quinjet vs the cover fire people are giving.

She turns in the air watching The Hulk fall from the quinjet towards a Sbarro. "Uh..." then over comms <<He will jump back up once we are ready to deal with the ship right?>> to the Avengers frequency.

There is a bit of a sigh and then Carol spins down out of the sky dodging a couple of drones with bursts of fire and energy weapons until she comes up right by Alexis. "Hey there Human Torch Jr." she extends a gloved hand with an ear comm "You are in the fight now .. oh don't hit the ones with racing stripes those robots are Iron Man's"

It just takes a moment and then she spins back up with a blaze of cosmic energy and plants both of her fists into an Airborne Brainiac drone as she heads up to provide a lot of cover for the Quinjet. <<Hey Supergirl... keep the flight paths clear with Powergirl.>>

Despite all this, she is just starting to use her photon blasts and focuses on one drone at a time really. She is most definitely holding back and not showing all of her tricks, not strength, not speed, not flight.

Not yet.

But she is working to keep things clear for Nat to get her shot.

Bruce Banner has posed:
As the Hulk falls, one of the Brainiac drones darts forward to meet him. Empowered with super-strength and an ultra-strong chassis, it made the mistake of not accurately calculating just how strong the Hulk would be. Nor how quick. One green hand darts out to catch the thing by the leg, hanging on tight as he continues to topple wildly through the air. When he lands, its on one of the streets nearest the Mutant Town crater.

The drone still in his hand, the Hulk lets out a furious roar and drives it into the asphalt. The ground cracks and breaks beneath it, and he swings it up and then down again. It's a twisted wreckage now, buzzing and sparking before the Hulk drops it on the ground. He lets out a wordless, angry cry at the broken drone before turning about to face a crowd of terrified onlookers.

It's then that the Hulk turns about to find himself face to face with the memorial to those lost when Mutant Town was stolen. A makeshift statue covered in flowers, candles, and photographs of those lost as well as letters written by those missing them.

"HNH!" he grunts, just in time for the mutilated drone to rise up again and dart at him in a jerking, sparking motion. The green behemoth pivots, catching the drone by the head and using the momentum to drive it into the memorial. It's a horrific sight, the Hulk stomping amidst the torn and shattered remnants of this emotional lodestone. More than a few of the lingering onlookers have their phones raised, capturing it on film.

"GO AWAY!" shouts the beast, and they begin to scatter in every direction.

Tony Stark has posed:
"Well...." Tony answers Carol's question about Hulk, with a sort of question hanging in his tone. "I mean, //ideally//, he might. We mostly don't put a lot of responsibility on him following directions; it's hard to get a comm on him," Tony explains elusively to Carol. "He's currently ground assist, until otherwise noted." Because the control level of the Hulk sometimes just is NOT there.

"Oh wow, nice SHOT, Nat. You used the force and everything. I had some guidance systems ready for you, but hey. Jedi Master Widow, I like it," Tony says, focusing instead on the ship ahead (err, behind them), the Iron Man suit moving laterally towards the ship's open back, flight pulsing to life, in case it needs to defend the weapon and quinjet's open rear end.

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Clearing the way is something I can do just fine!" Johnny says, amping himself up to his full plasma form which creates a coronal flare of heat and fire to explode around him and he pushes towards the ship with renewed vigor, blasts of fiery plasma exploding out from his hands, and trails of fire are left in a streamer behind him as he attacks the drones in an incredibly flashy and attention grabbing manner!

Karen Starr has posed:
Booking it on the approach, Power Girl's gambit is successful. This is, indeed, exactly what she wanted- as a number of drones seem to quite sudenly divert themselves and detach from their current opponents, and many more seem to emerge from the ship itself to intervene.

As soon as this group of drones begin to converge on her location, Karen pivots midair, creating a neck-snapping ninety degree blur of pink in the sky as she relegates herself to combat without a pause. She doesn't slow down, either- using the opportunity of having nobody else nearby as an excuse to cut loose, and with the added modifications to the drones, each time she hits them it sounds like thunder amongst the clouds.

It is in the end a futile gesture- or, at least, looks like it. Power Girl is utterly occupied by the drones, despite that she's working up a rhythm. Even if the drones weren't entirely expendable, Power Girl would spend the next week fighting them off before she was able to advance on the skullship.

When someone pipes up over her comm, a relatively familiar voice, all things considered, Karen responds. "Bad idea. I'm kicking a hornet's nest." Whether Supergirl decides to listen to her taller doppleganger or not, however, is the primary concern.

Jon Kent has posed:
At the Mutant Town Crater, a number of drones had been engaged in fighting Carol, their fight could be seen from the sky as various beams and blasts could be seen shooting upwards. Carol's fight had simply added another layer of chaos on top of the large skull-ship in the sky.

As the others arrived, SHIELD's Hellicarrier had approached next to the skull ship, beginning to take large armament shots at it. Arms fire had created a blanket of bullets and energy fire above the city. Luckily, the gunners aboard the Hellicarrier were some of the world's best, and knew where to shoot to avoid the heroes and bystanders on the ground.

The Skull ship itself showed its shielding once rounds and other heroes started to act against it.

Each of the heroes had fought well, along with others who were fighting around the city. The memorial statue that had been erected, destroyed, onlookers who had still remained took their pictures and video. Some ran off as Hulk shouted, others started to furrow their brows. "How could you?" "I thought he wasn't like he used to be..." "That Hulk is a menace." Mumblings from the crowd as they still for some reason were at the scene of the violence.

The weapon that Tony had created blasts the skull ship, dissipating its shielding and making the tentacles from the underside go limp. The hellicarrier in the air started to make a barrage for the ship, working on the tough metal hull of the thing. This was their chance, the heroes chance to get in. From the other side of the crater, the Titans T-Jet had already started to make its way up to the skull ship above.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Though Supergirl was never a 'warrior' per se back home, she still feels this is what it means to wear the uniform of a warrior, not just to give hope but to stand against evil, to stand against the darkness consuming the universe one world at a time. She wears a very dark blue uniform with red cape. The lines are fiercer, the design is almost military like. She means business, she has her mean face on.

"You got it Captain Danvers!," Supergirl replies enthusiastically over the comms. She likes Danvers. Flight paths, her eyes scan the environment. "Come on you stupid drones, where are your new weak points," she scroops one up and crushes its neck as she looks over its body in minute detail, then finds a new flaw. "I see.. solar plexes are weaker now, left temple weaker, right hip joint weaker. Flaws are still there, they've just moved."

Supergirl looks at the mass of drones.. there's a lot more than the 50 in simulation, she grits her teeth and bursts in to speed, punching their jets and the weak points as she goes. The strategy of drawing in more and more drones and keeping the flight path might work for as long as Brainiac doesn't recognise the threat they're protecting, even the Titan danger room simulation could pick up the patterns. These new drones are taking //effort// though.

Another blast, but Kara dodges it, to be hit by a cold blast from another droid, followed by a mighty uppercut from another. She spins around and throws the first drone in to the second, ripping the arm of the third and hitting the another. "Focus Kara, focus," she murmurs to herself and takes in the battle again - thanks training! - seeing more drones trying to veer off to flank the big pew pew, she dashes across the sky and begins assaulting them with a kick. "If it's a dumb enough idea for you, it's a dumb enough idea for me," Kara says to Power Girl. Her eyes focus on the giant ship as she hears its shields crackling against the weapon, "Are we a go for skull ship??"

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha doesn't realize she's holding her breath until she lets it all out at once when the shot hits its mark and seems to have the desired effect. She wipes her brow with the back of one hand and finally replies to Tony: "I earn my keep." Which is Nat for 'thanks'. Probably.
In regards to Carol's question, Natasha looks down at the ground and concurs, "... We mostly let him do what he wants. Otherwise is like herding cats-" she cuts off sharply as one of Braniac's drones grabs hold of the Quinjet's entryway, prompting her to swiftly put two high powered shotgun shells into its head, and another into its hand before slamming the button to close the door, and letting the ramp sheer off the fingers of the remaining hand clinging to the ship.
    Right, work.
"Everyone who's going to the ship, get moving. Pilot, take me up there."

Hal Jordan has posed:
The Lantern falls in with his fellow fliers...with Captain Marvel, Power Girl, and Supergirl. "If we're not go, we're pretty close. I'll support you as you fly in." Green Lantern offers green bubbles to anyone who wants to head to the ship, and then flies in once there's an opening. But...it looks like they are, in fact, go, so in goes the Lantern, with all his glowing of green.

"Don't wast too much time on the small fry. Brainiac's got more of those than we can get rid of. But if we take him out, the rest should fall."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"Those are --?" Alexis states, turning to face the drones, and her face lights up as it clicks. "Makes sense." she decides, and giving a nod to Carol, she accepts the earbud with a grave nod, and then turns to hop another building and as she turns to make another jump to a different building -- she's caught up in a green bubble. She gives a soft 'eep' sound -- but hey. Still one of the good eyes, and clad in the very non-uniform Pink Floyd tee and singed jeans, the young firestarter turns her gaze upwards towards Brainiac's ship.

Carol Danvers has posed:
When Tony says nice shot to Nat over the comms, Carol pauses what she is doing and looks up her eyes narrowing as she watches it hit and then the shielding around the ship falter, fail, and tentacles go limp.

<<Ahhhh yeah!>> is conveyed right before a drone cold cocks her in the fact of her head with a really heavy blow that causes her to slide forward about a half a foot in surprise. "Son of a ...." she turns around and grabs it's head with both hands and then digs her thumb into the things left temple. Yeah she was totally listening to Kara explain those weaker spots. She blithly ignores the pyrokinesis that cascades around her and just crushes it's head.

Okay maybe she is holding back a bit less now but then the shields are down and it is as they say Go Time.

<<Makes sense Nat... should I throw him into the ship fastball special or just join you all up there now?>> she totally offered to throw the Hulk into the BRain Ship. She may even mean it. New definition of Fastball Special if so. Colossus would be proud right. Then again why does she even think of that manuaver.

Karen Starr has posed:
Karen is given a momentary reprieve from the drones when Stark's new weapon drops the shields, and, seemingly, powers down the majority of the ship for what must be some precious, precious moments. Turning to Kara, Power Girl holds up a hand, pointing- just a little confrontationally, but not quite with that much hostile intent.

"It's not the same. I'm stronger, tougher, more experienced." she states, just so very matter-of-factly. The challenge is to translate it all to the much simpler phrase 'older,' something that is probably bound to invite a hit to the jaw no matter who it comes from.

Still, there is only so much time, and Karen isn't going to spend any more debating whether or not Kara gets to come along. Instead, she's going to admit the other Titans are doing it, and that means Kara's not going to stay behind. Giving off this annoyed grunt, she merely replies, "Yeah. probably."

Then, moments later, Karen is surging into the sky, flinging herself at the skullship. She'll break open an entry way by literal, physical force, if she has to. Plus, that's likely to help the other infiltrators keep attention off of them.

It is also, hands down, the most reckless thing she could possibly be doing.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha mulls over Carol's question with a little extra anxiety piled on top of the situation and concludes, "If you think you can do it without picking a fight with him, go for it. Otherwise we need everyone in one piece."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Arguing with your younger self must be so frustrating. Kara merely gives an enthusiastic smile to the older version of herself and points up to the ship, "They just never stop coming out do they. Endless drones." The way for the ships are getting crowded again. Time to change strategies. She aims toward that entry point and her face begins to glow, veins of intense heat lash violently out of her eyes as she cuts through dozens of drones with a sweep of her gaze, the bifurcated parts tumbling out of the sky before they even have a chance to use their new powers.

She pants a moment and relaxes as the green shield appears around her. To Hal she waves and says, "Thank you!" The sun may be scarce inside that ship, so she takes a moment to let it soak in to her before she shoots up in to the ship with the rest of the flying heroes. Her thoughts turn to the Titans for a moment with concern - but they trained for this - maximum effort. Now she's helped them get where they're going, it's time for a bit of Kryptonian justice for Brainiac. She grinds her fist in to her hand and flies up to the ship. Over the comms she calls out, "I'm going in!"

Johnny Storm has posed:
Those who haven't had the chance to fight alongside the famed Human Torch get to see the sort of skills someone gains when they've spent the better part of the past three decades fighting across the literal Multiverse, zipping about in an aerobatic display as he works to keep the path open for the ground-based heroes to board the ship, flares of fire, blasts of insanely hot energy expelled from his fists, and generally playing gatekeeper for the group to make their way aboard Braniac's Skull ship <<Time to get your people aboard, Carol!>> Johnny broadcasts across the comms.

Tony Stark has posed:
"While I'm not going to actually suggest seatbelt safety - here's your one warning," Tony comments to those in the quinjet, before the Iron Man suit gets a good grip, and the whole thing is remotely sent on a tilt-o-whirl warpath towards the Brainiac ship, dodging incoming attacks; the Avengers are not going to be left behind.

"Let's not be fashionably late to this party," Tony teases over the comms to the Avengers that are still flying about. It's boss time!

Bruce Banner has posed:
As the people nearby murmur amongst themselves and the Hulk's destruction of the memorial, it only serves to make the monster angrier. He stomps back and forth through the pile of debris, glaring at the camera phones and shouting angrily for them to leave him alone. He bumps into a parked car and grasps it by the bumper, angrily overturning it in the street as easy as one might knock down a deck of cards.

"STUPID PEOPLE!" Hulk shouts, stomping a foot heavily enough to cause more than a few of them to lose their footing and topple to the ground, "RUN AWAY! RUN ... AWAY!"

The car is flung through the air, over the heads of the bystanders before it topples end over end and disappears. It'll be recovered in a few days lying half-buried in a field in Massachusetts.

"FACE SHIP!" he roars up at Brainiac's hovering war machine, "HULK SMASH YOU, FACE SHIP!"

Carol Danvers has posed:
Carol tilts her head listening to the call back and then looks down to find Bruce.

Great he is yelling at the crowd of scared New Yorkers ... which is bad PR. Also did he destroy the memorial or did a drone. Man this is going to make the Avengers PR Agency really work overtime. Crap is he yelling at them.

When he focuses on the ship though there is a sliver of hope. <<I'm going to yeet him into it before he tries to throw an apartment building at it or something and cause even worse PR for us..>>

She pivots and races down out of the sky, coming in from behind Bruce. "HULK... SMASH FACE!!" she yells right before she scoops him up, which honestly is an impressive amount of ooooomphhh from the Captain and then spins once and hurls the HULK really fantastically hard right at the Skull ship.

She hovers there for a moment to see how this plays out, at least the ship seems momentarily disabled and probably can't dodge a fast moving Hulk right.

Oh... right.. she takes off following him so she can join the others converging on the ship. There is a space sociopath to deal with it.

Bruce Banner has posed:
The Hulk turns his head quickly, possessed of a swiftness that doesn't seem to fit his bulky form and strength. But recognition sparks in his beady eyes as he spots Carol, and he doesn't move to attack her nor dodge out of the way as she ... picks him up.

"Stupid Space Lady! Put Hulk down! Space Lady don't touch Hulk buuuuuuuuuuu - "

It is then that he's flung through the air, moving with furious speed like a bullet straight towards the looming vessel. The words mercifully cut off. His fists raise above his head, he strikes downwards as he hits the hull - tearing through it to land amidst the guts of the spacecraft.

"Ugly face," he grunts to himself, before stalking in the direction of his companions.

Jon Kent has posed:
Kara manages to break through the weakened hull of the 'Face ship'. Inside was a bridge that looked eerily similar to an all-metal Art Deco. Golds, greens, blues, palladium, all accented with an otherworldly purple, much like the being at the helm. "This is unacceptable. Such low life forms should never have been able to do this!" The seven foot tall android with plane green skin yells, on his back are four tentacles like his ship had, each were working on a holographic display, attempting to get the ship back online.

Covered in palladium-esque metal, with purple joins, Brainiac was surrounded on each side by two drones that matched his size. They didn't talk, they couldn't, not without jaws. They were scrambling to wrangle control of the ship back. "You and your kind have already ruined your world."

Brainiac turned to the hole that Kara had broken through the hull with. "Kryptonians." A foot diameter bubble floats down, and to Karen and Kara's recognition, would be a shrunken city like a time capsule. A Kryptonian city.

He holds the bubble in his hand as he watches. "Preserved for all time. Never knowing the destruction of their worlds. they live their lives in there. A piece of empires long fallen." He raises the bubble and Kandor floats higher and higher.

The two tentacles on his side shoot beams of massive green energy to Kara and Karen, another shoots at Carol, and another at Hulk. Meanwhile, the suped up drones make their way towards the rest of the group. Other than missing a proper face over their skulls, and tentacles, these drones were facsimiles of Brainiac himself.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
"Appreciated." Is Natasha's slightly strained reply as the Quinjet is aided along to its destination. "You'd better set us down gently, though, unless you want to carry me home."
She can hear Braniac's fury from inside the Quinjet. When the board ramp cracks open and begins to lower, Natasha's already holding a pair of automatic pistols full of the strongest armor piercing ammunition she could scrounge up. She unloads them on a pair of approaching drones, who shudder and spark as pieces of them are rapidly, but incrementally torn away, putting one down prone on the ground, while the other gets close enough to make a grap for Natasha.
Natasha half leaps, half pulls herself over the towering drone's shoulders and flips forward over it, but the drone catches the barrel of the shotgun on her back as she passes, pulling harness up and off of her body, but dragging her arm along with it.
The barrel, however, is pointed at the drone's head, and Natasha simply pulls the trigger while it's in the drone's hand and watches its head partially disintigrate. Natasha takes the shotgun back, and gives her arm a quick roll to make sure it's still in place, and then puts another shell in the head of the prone Drone before she begins to move again, firing on the Drones, focusing on those distracted by other targets, and moving fast whenever she becomes one.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Supergirl lands on the bridge of the 'face ship', she heard Hulk calling it. Her hands go to her hips, her jaw set tight and her eyes lock on to Brainiac. "You've come far enough, this stops here!," she says but then her eyes settle on the shrunken Kryptonian city and she gasps.

A look of horror and fear, of betrayal and anger flash across her face. "It can't be!" She shoots a look over to Karen of desperation, is it Kandor? the missing city of Krypton? and Brainiac has it in this universe too. Perhaps the conspiracy theories were true about what destroyed Krypton. The painful memories of her home being destroyed return to her and she winces.

The massive green energy beam hits her right in the hope and she drops to her knees with a cry of pain. One hand planted on the ground, the other reaching up as if to shield herself from the weapon. "Ahhh!," she cries out and squeezes her eyes shut. Her mind flitters back to Argo City, Krypton, as she is tripped and thrown to the floor once again by her martial arts teacher and she lands hard on her back with a cry, 'Pain is a reminder we have yet to try hard enough Kara.' He then offers his hand down to her and she takes it, rising back up, 'Together we face it, together we try harder.'

Kara pushes up from one knee and shields her body with her forearm and cape as it continues to beat down on her. "Humans are changing, they are fighting for their world.. it is not ruined yet!"

Karen Starr has posed:
Karen frowns as she lights upon the central node of Brainiac itself. She knows it won't end here- not permanently, anyway- but much of this is very, very familiar. Last time she saw him he was nearly skeletal, with a horrying brain-skull-thing. She has to admit, this is an improvement from her home universe's last incarnation.

Brainiac doesn't name the city, but Karen does. "Kandor." The glass-like orb is a nice touch. The technology of this Brainiac is at once both more sophisticated and less so than what she's used to. She's hoping that'll give them a fighting chance seeing as he's amassed such resources.

"Say goodbye to the collection. We're going to undo as much of the damage you've done as possible, and that starts here."

She is about ready to charge when... Oh boy. Beams of green energy. Those are definitely a bad sign. Power Girl takes an uncharacteristically defensive posture in reflex, pulling her forearms up and putting her head behind them like a boxer. The beam strikes her, and she imagines, more than feels, the searing pain and palpitations of Kryptonite's ruinous influence... For a moment or two, before coming to the understanding that it isn't a Kryptonite weapon.

Though she is sent skidding back, her boots thudding as she plants herself back on the floor, and fights back against the blasting of the laser. She could overpower it- push through it and continue on to strike at Brainiac... But instead, she uses the noise of the crackling energy and weapons fire to mask her speech.

"He just sent one of his collectibles up into the ship, upper floors, go."

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny hovers just a bit off the ground as the group emerges in to face down mastermind of the whole attack on the planet as a whole, flares of flame flowing out beneath him as he keeps himself stable "What's the plan?" he asks, though before he can really get any answer, the beams and tentacles launch out - One of those drones on their way over receives a double-fisted blast of plasma, aiming to melt through the casing of this Braniaic-Drone.

Alexis Carr has posed:
"Ugh, this decor looks like my father designed it," Alexis mutters quietly through the green bubble she's transported in, but as soon as she's released, she's on the move.

The dark haired teen stays to the back, though her hands light up immediately as she narrows her eyes, her lips pulling back. She didn't have any quips or comments -- but when Powergirl takes a strike, the firestarter slides in, snapping to Karen's defense as she lobs another volley-ball sized explosive ball of power at the source of the laser!

"I have seen some ugly gents around New York, but my friend you are downright sickly lookin'! Happen to know a fab plastic surgeon if you wanna face lift!" she offers with mock cheeriness in her voice.

Tony Stark has posed:
"I'm going to need you to prove you're more than just a regular robot," Tony thoughtfully declares, very helpfully from the side. "I'm going to show you some images. Maybe you can determine for us which of them does //not// include a stop-sign, and I'll start to respect that you could be more than a regular automoton----" Tony barters from the back of the group.

He's actually doing a different sort of attack: he's interested more in trying to hack into the ship itself and bombard it with all sorts of extremely distracting nonsense, outpoured happily by the AI on the Avenger's side, prepared in advance from the deep-dive in the code array he'd been mucking around in from the Satellites, working to attempt to interface into the ship and gain some control. Maybe he can help the other teams by opening and shutting bubble-doors, or mucking with the interior gravity -- who knows....

Hal Jordan has posed:
"You wanna play with green beams, Brainy? Try that again..." At close range, the Lantern figures he can match beams with Brainiac. After all, he doesn't have to hold the beams back for long. Just long enough for the Kryptonians to tear him apart. The green beam that was fired at the lantern runs right into his green forcefield...but for now, at least, Green Lantern's willpower holds up.

Oh, yeah. Space cop. "By the way, you're wanted for numerous crimes in, uh..." He checks his ring, "1123 space sectors besides this one. It's a sciencell for you, buddy." If they can capture him. Good luck with that. But at the least, they can get some rescuing done, he hopes.

Bruce Banner has posed:
As the beam of energy lances through the air, the Hulk lets out an angry roar. His skin sizzles, and he holds up a hand in front of himself to shield his eyes from the glare. But nevertheless, he keeps moving, staggering forward with heavy footfalls and irritated grunts.

The green behemoth ends up near Alexis, glancing at her and then towards Brainiac, and then back. Instead of an angry roar, something like a laugh booms out of the monster and he points up at the cyborg despot.

"HA HA! UGLY! HA HA - OW!"

The beam strikes the Hulk again, and once more his face is a grimace of rage as he glowers down at Alexis and rumbles: "Break stupid robot man!"

It's then that he leaps forward, massive hands outstretched in an effort to pluck Brainiac from the air.

Carol Danvers has posed:
Carol touches down shortly after the Hulk and Powergirl and Supergirl all break through and present a wide variety of holes for them to get inside. She knows there are other breaches going on as well right now from some of the other teams too. She could see the various heroes of the planet earth converging once the shields went down.

Which is about when that green beam hits her dead on.... and just washes over her before being absorbed in it's entirity as if nothing even touched her... didn't even scoot her back a step.

Is she glowing a little brighter now?

"Woof.. .. also Hal... come on really... we come in here to ... and you spacecop on him?" she just seems amused if somewhat endeared by the Lantern's following proceedures there.

<<Plan is absolutely destroy him and his drones, decimate them all. If someone can go snag Kandor there that would be idealtoo not sure the other teams are going to be looking for it.>>

"I'm going to punch him.." and at that point she just starts to stalk forward picking up speed which each step as she charges Brainiac.

Honestly .. she is trying to beat Banner to him.

Jon Kent has posed:
Brainiac starts approaching Kara, looking down on her as she quips back to the android. "That is what they said about Krypton. Colu. Corona Seven, O'erlantii, Carillon. All preserved, without me, their planets would be only a memory."

Iron Man's attacks on the AI systems seem to be working, as the body of Brainiac starts to twitch as the bombardment of queries and information keep him from focusing entirely on the situation at hand.

Then there was Hulk, and Carol Danvers. The two superpowered beings grab and punch Brainiac with enough force that the very heavy and very strong android is knocked back almost to the wall of his own ship. The only thing that had kept him from crashing, was his two lower tendrils digging into the floor beneath him, slowing him down at the expense of their energy projectors.

The tendrils spark and emit energy erratically before Brainiac ejects their cores, leaving only claws at the ends. Brainiac stands back up, and in a silver blur, rushes back to Carol, pulling his own fist back for a super punch of his own, massively powered by heavy metal and superhuman strength.

The drone that Johnny had blasted with superheated plasma writhed in pain, suffering more than Brainiac had been with the bombardment of queries and information that Tony was wirelessly sending their way. Its metallic body started to glow yellow hot, but it was still moving, ever closer to Johnny himself, reaching out with hands to grasp at the Human Torch's arms.

Meanwhile, the other two mega drones approached Iron Man, reaching out with hands, small tendrils slithering out of the finger knuckles as they attempt to get close enough to make contact with the done Iron Man armor.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha takes cover behind the nearest object, firing her last shotgun shell backwards over the top of it before she starts furiously reloading and answers, "Not just Kandor. Intel is he could have dozens or hundreds of cities in bottles on board this ship. We need to get them out of here if we can, but priority is killing this thing." She puts the last shell into the shotgun and blasts the head that peeks over the top of her cover, before moving back into the fight at range.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Supergirl pushes back up to standing and starts to stalk forward as the beam hits her again. "You.. can't.. win!," she declares proudly as the veins around her eyes start to glow and her eyes energise. Heat licks from her eyes as she lowers her arm and cape and stares straight with baleful fire in to the green beam weapon blasting at her. She shouts out as the heat and electricity from the beam blasts back at her, burning her exposed skin, but the energy weapon Brainiac is using to beat her down explodes in a ball of green flame. She scowls and shuts her eyes as her eyes cool off.

"Not this time Brainiac," Kara sets her jaw again and makes fists with her hands.. but with Carol and a Hulk about to smash Brainiac, she changes tactics. A little bit of selfishness she cannot deny, she wants some payback - and now she is doubting everything she knew about the destruction of Krypton.

Brainiac is very real and he has a part of home. She looks to the drone at his side and the heat ray of her eyes bursts forth again, cutting through the mega drone from head to hip in a slow //precise// burn and she yells at him in pain and anger, "NO MORE!"

...though, there is still another one and Kara finds herself slumping against a barrier as she has expended a great deal of energy with her bursts. She has yet to learn to hold back. "Sorry.. Ironman. Couldn't,.. get both." The blur of Brainiac gets her attention though and her eyes widen as she starts to watch his movements at super speed against Carol.. if Brainiac can learn off of us, so can she learn off of him.

Karen Starr has posed:
With the lasers no longer focused her and Kara's way, Karen finds herself in a favorable position. Everyone is in some way occupied- except for one, and what a person to partner up with. In a show similar to Supergirl's, but with much more held back- so that she only expends what she needs to, Power Girl leaps forward, taking to the air in a blurred rush of movement.

Things happen for her in the space between moments, and while the world is in slow-motion, her eyes burst forth with quick blasts of crimson heat. These lines rake swiftly across the two tendrils holding Brainiac to the ground- and allowing her to follow up. She lands a mere step away from the android, and swings a heel at the back of its knee. Not finished, she turns that twisting momentum into a gratuitously -mighty- punch, aiming to send that directly into the android's back.

Her positioning is purposeful, and if she can destabilize his footing, that punch is packed with enough might to send him -flying- right at Big Green. Luckily for Hal, this isn't him, this time.

"Proselytize later, if you make it that long."

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny's no spring chicken when it comes to this robot bashing game, he zips back from the approaching Drone, flames raising up towards the head, "Not so easy boy!" Johnny calls out, laughing a little as he zips up higher, and while he's not made of solid material in his plasma form, her's still not going to take a chance with these drones having some unusual ability, or field manipulations to be able to actually be able to grip hold of him.

Alexis Carr has posed:
For a split second, Alexis thought that the Hulk was going to lob her at Brainiac after having made the Big Green laugh. She wasn't expecting that.

And when Hulk says so, she gives a nod, looking back to Braniac and goes "Yeah, good plan, Big Guy," in reply to the Hulk.

And she steels her resolve. Her feet heat up, the smell of burning denim from her jeans and melting rubber and plastic coming through the air as she takes off, leaving the ruins of her shoes behind.

She's not super fast, but she's quick enough. Slide beneath a tentacle, arch over another. Apply burning hands to a third before she wall-runs, using her parkour skills, and with her feet hot enough to melt steel she continues to lob fireballs in Brainiac's direction, sliding on her bare and now super-heated, glowing-hot feet, her dark eyes set sternly as she clears the way for the Hulk to recieve a present!

Tony Stark has posed:
"I also have a wealth of cat videos," Tony continues, "unboxing of made-for-tv products, and versions of people attempting to sing 'Let it go'. It's the thought that---" Tony's not able to continue chatting about his low-blow diversionary tactics, because he's made himself a target, very clearly, by being entirely obnoxious. It's not really a new look for him: Tony's used to attention.

"Fifty percent is great, don't let anyone tell you otherwise," Tony answers Kara, focusing the suit's power into defensive focus: he's supporting the team by running interference and staying back. He's trusting the others to put in the massive power needed (and, ha ha, defend his 'avatar' suit), but he can grant opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have gotten.

Tony redirects one of the systems he finds -- maybe that's teleporters? Or a weapon? hard to tell? It seems nice and shiny, this code?... -- onto Brainiac, attempting to use whatever time he still has to force Brainiac to expel resources blocking his attempts to use and tie up the ship's resources.

"Hold onto your butts: I'm going to try to send us away from the city; I don't want a crash-landing here if we lose control!" Tony announces into comms.

Bruce Banner has posed:
"Space Lady break stupid ugly robot," the Hulk growls at Carol, lunging aside as Brainiac lunges at her, "Ugly robot should know better than attack Earth! Ugly robot stupid!"

The drones angling for Tony catch the Hulk's attention, and his head immediately turns with predatory focus. Small, dark eyes focus on Supergirl as he crouches alongside the semi-collapsed Kryptonian to regard her silently.

"Cape girl get up," he rumbles, nudging her roughly with the back of one oversized hand, "Fight now!"

It's then that he dives through the air towards the remaining drone, clutching it about the head in the mere seconds before it closes in on Iron Man. His knuckles flex and with incredible force he squeezes tight, crushing the machine's head in his palm before glaring at the Iron Man suit.

"Dumb metal man," he growls at the Iron Man suit, "Pay attention!"

It's then that he whirls to find Brainiac being struck towards him like an awkward baseball. He reaches out to pluck the cyborg from the air, pivoting once more to try and crush him against the deck plates with both hands.

Carol Danvers has posed:
Carol totally picked up what Hulk was putting down, that or she just sniped the beat down out from under him when he knocked Brainiac out of the air. Matters of perspective really.

She looks very smug when the punch manages to knock Brainiac back and cause him to brace and not keep firing on the others. "Well we will just have to take all those off your hands, had no idea about Carillon. Mark that one down too someone."

SASS.

Which is about when the Android blurs into motion and moves at super speeds to punch her in return. She is caught a bit by surprise at the speed of the attack, though she does manage to get her arms up to block the blow and prevent it from hitting her face.

The next part surprises Carol probably about as much as anyone, she is hurled back hard and fast enough she is unable to compensate with her flying abilities in time. She slams into the far wall and then through it with an incredibly land rending of metal and shower of energy as she intersects with some energy conduits as well.

This is easily the first time since she last got back from space that anyone on earth has seen her smacked down successful, let alone ass over teakettle as the saying goes like that.

The shower of sparks and energy fades though as she surges back up to her feet blinking with surprise, reaching out to seize those energy conduits. Once grabbed she starts to absorb the main line energy of the ship, likely wrecking havoc as the hole she made starts to glow and lashes of coronal cosmic energy lash outwards.

No sass for the moment but she is getting ready to come back harder.

Thankfully Powergirl has it for the moment over there since even Hulk assumed Carol had it in hand.. though he comes through in a cinch.

Hal Jordan has posed:
The Lantern flies overhead, as the heavy hitters go in to smack Brainiac around. To that end, he'll just go ahead and make it easier on everyone. It's one thing to to bind Brainiac's form with bands of Willpower. The real trick, though, was trying to cut him off from his circuts and control of his own ship. If he could do that, they just might be able to trap him in one physical body instead of being in, well, several.

He also sends a little green tracking orb up the chute that Kandor disappeared through. If he can figure out where he sent that city, they may be able to retrieve it.

Jon Kent has posed:
The yellow-hot drone keeps getting hotter, until its processors are overrun and the whole thing starts to melt into a lumpy disc on the floor. Just like what's-her-face, in the green makeup. You know the movie.

The other drones couldn't stand up to the bombardment from not only Tony, but the others onboard and adjacent to the skull-ship, one being bifurcated in a brutal fashion, and the other's skull being crushed in a massive green hand, sparks fly as capacitors burst, and the drone had been destroyed. Alexis' own superheated efforts were recognized and connected with Brainiac and the last drone, who's legs had now become a permanent addition to the floor, writing in 'pain' to the electronic bombardment.

The only thing that had been left was Brianiac himself. Between the efforts of the science teams, Shuri, Tony, Sam, and Cyborg, Brianiac's processing power had been decimated. Complex queries, demands to calculate pi, cat videos, shrieking covers of Disney songs, philosophical questions, and paradoxes. All demanded more and more of the ultra android's capabilities that his reaction time had been slowed by such an amount that Carol's efforts had indeed dislodged him from the ground, and sent him flying towards Hulk.

By now, the attacks from the SHIELD Hellicarrier have made the alarms around the bridge go off. Coluan text above the 'eyes' of the Face Ship had announced the dire situation for the ship, as it started to make its way out to the Atlantic. The massive palms of the Hulk had no problem grasping Brainiac and slamming down into the deck, breaking through the deck, and sending him down into the deck below. Given the strength of the metal, is quite the feat!

By now, Brainiac's tendrils had been shorn, all that was left of the android was his core body, and with all the heat being thrown his way, his face had been melted off. Rising from the hole in the deck was the form more akin to what Karen had seen before, an unmoving face, no jaw, and no discernibly humanoid features. It looked more like one of Tony's suits, a slit for a mouth, and unmoving eyes that watched all, what looked like a sinus cavity where his nose had been. An iris on his chest had opened, an emerald green crystal had started to shine bright, sending radiation out. "Emergency proto..." Brainiac himself had been interrupted by a familiar drumroll and synthesizer..."We're no strangers to loooove. You know the rules, and so do IIII."

Meanwhile, on the upper decks, the lone bubble of Kandor could be found, safe from the rest of the others, though with the ship's trajectory, it seemed like it was going to be making a water landing soon. Only time to save one of the four capsules there.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
And Rick Astley's crooning long note is Natasha's cue to unload every remaining shell in her rifle into Braniac's melting head. Over the comms, she tersely calls "How are we looking outside, everyone? We need to know when to bail out of here."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara is nudged more than an exhausted person wants to be when the big green fella gives her a pep talk. "Right," she answers him and pushes herself back up, steeling herself once more with a fist to her open palm, "SUPERGIRL SMASH." She grins at Hulk and then watches in amazement as he beats Brainiac through the floor.

As the robot starts to rise up Kara approaches. She watched the way Brainiac moved, his capabilities, his motions, his articulations. She studied him, she learnt. She lifts up fists to fight this machine. She still has enough energy to do that and certainly the motivation too.

When Brainiac's chest opens though, Kara is bathed in the glowing green light of Kryptonite and she stumbles back and falls to the ground. One hand lifts up defensively as the radiation burns through her. "Aaarrrrh!," she cries out as she takes the brunt. The poisonous remnant of her destroyed home saps her of her powers rapidly. She hunches over gripping her pained stomach even as green veins spread across her forehead. "Hel-p!"

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Alright... are we good here?" Johnny asks as the drone he was dealing with turns into slag at his feet, still hovering there going at full blaze.. there's more than a little bit of a look of... maybe saddness, or disgust, or something along those lines when the riffs of Rick Astley come through, "That is one joke that really... really needs to be put to rest..."

Alexis Carr has posed:
Alexis picks her feet up and out of the holes her superheated skin sunk into, and she turns to the assembly, looking a little woozy for a moment.

"I... think we're good once he starts spouting Astly -- who's idea was that?" she questions -- and then the green light fills the room, and horrified, she hears Kara's cry of pain.

"What is *That*?" she asks, bringing her hand up and pushing herself to fire up another follyball-sized fire orb.

Tony Stark has posed:
While most of the Iron Man suit's resources are tied up in the frenzy of blocking and dynamic tech response, it physically can still do a few things: such as move to rescue and help.

"Pretty sure you've hit 100% now, Supergirl," Tony teases her kindly, while moving to scoop up the fallen superheroine, and physically use the Iron suit to block and shield her from where the Kryptonite is.

"Time //abandon ship//, guys! Everybody out; grab a city or an injured buddy! Water landing in less than two minutes, I project, and I do not think this thing can be used as a floatation device." And the Avenger leader will follow his own direction: to begin the exit!

Bruce Banner has posed:
"Stupid music robot," the Hulk roars when Brainiac stutters and freezes in place, blasting music, "Hulk prefer NEW WAVE!"

The green behemoth glares at the frozen android, sniffing the air and leaning back and forth. It's then that he sees the green chunk of ore glowing in the chest cavity, his beady eyes following the eerie light it casts towards Kara. His teeth bare angrily, whirling back around on Brainiac.

"STOP HURTING CAPE GIRL!"

One mammoth hand darts outward, clutching Brainiac's chest and yanking back to tear the compartment free. The lump of Kryptonite in his hand, the Hulk looks this way and that before opening his mouth and dropping it down his gullet. He makes a grunting, discomfited sound as he swallows it.

"Stupid rock taste bad!"

He roars again, holding Brainiac aloft and with the ear-splitting screech of shredding metal and a shower of sparks he rips the creature in half. Both sides are tossed away, and the Hulk releases yet another scream of wordless frustration. He leaps upwards into the ship's hanging wiring and beautiful architecture, dangling from it even as he tears vital components out and throws them to the ground.

Karen Starr has posed:
With Brainiac on not only the back foot, but flat out losing, rising into a form that Karen is unfortunately quiet familiar with, a horror-thing that is a mockery of Coluan anatomy, Karen primes to charge forward and end it... Except that its chestplate pops open, and the room is awash in green light. For a Kryptonian- at least those from her home universe- Kryptonite radiation feels like having a simultaneous heart attack and brain aneurysm.

Her flesh is too dense for the veins to show through her flesh, but she too collapses onto a knee moments after the rock is exposed.

In this moment, Karen's mind is racing. She knows the ship is falling too quickly to save much from Brainiac's collection, and that's thousands- if not millions of lives lost. While she hopes that the bulk of his collection is elsewhere, she can't bet on it. Yet, all the same, it doesn't look very hopeful...

    Until, that is, the Hulk.

Snatching up the green rock and eating it is enough. His skin isn't lead, so it might not solve the problem permanently... But it does halt it for just the spare moments that Power Girl needs.

There's no announcement, no ceremony. She just /moves./ There is a loud, echoing BANG in the room as Karen speeds towards the breach they'd made. She's woozy, and not at her best, but she has to try. Swooping around at this speed, Karen knocks against a tentacle or two on her way down.

She swings upwards, and the palms of her hands hit the bottom of the ship. For a moment, with the weakness of the Kryptonite only so much out of her system, she falters for just that spare moment. It seems as if she's simply fled the ship, but moments later, she rallies- calling out in a great howl of anguished fury, Karen starts applying all of the strength she can muster, trying to force the ship upward, to keep it out of the water for just a little bit longer, to give them more time to both escape, and bring the bottled cities with them.

Maybe they'd have time later- maybe the baubles are waterproof, maybe the stasis fields would hold up in the crash and keep them intact, but it's just too many lives- And, really, Karen comes from a universe where they were stored in -bottles.- There's probably a little bit of that fear creeping over.

Hal Jordan has posed:
It's the Lantern on city rescue duty...actually restoring them, well, that's harder. He was actually going to radiation bubble the rock...but no need for that, because Hulk ate it. "Way to take one for the team big guy."

Free to focus on cities, the little green Glowball Hal sent after the city found the city of Kandor...and then basically grabs it from where Brainiac put it and retrieves it. He knows it'll mean a lot to Superman...and to the two ladies who fought with him today...to have it safe. He also knows he needs to get Alexis out of here, so, "Hop in the bubble again." and he creates a green bubble for her. "And, we're out of here. Power Girl, Supergirl, got your city."

Carol Danvers has posed:
Carol steps out of the hole in the wall and blurs leaving a wake of cosmic energy behind her like psychodelic ripples in the fabric of space, her eyes blazing as she looks down the hole in time to see Hulk smashing and rending and ripping. As Hulks do.

Carol glances up hearing Hal over the comms but well, she isn't really satisfied with this result especially now that she is all sorts of worked up about it. She heads up busting through the ceiling and vanishes from sight for the moment.

Shortly there after there is another rending of metal and the blaze of light that is Captain Marvel bursts out of the side of the ship craddling another of the bottled cities in her arms.

No she wasn't able to grab all three of the others but she did manage to get another before it crashes into the Atlantic. <<I was able to grab another city.. not sure which it is.. there are two more though I wasn't able to get. Follow the hole I left if you can snag them.>>

Jon Kent has posed:
In the other parts of the skull ship, The Titans and the X-Men had gathered as many cities as they could carry, along with the components that had been used to bottle them. The skull-ship was beaten to hell and back, assaulted electronically, and partially melted. The heroic efforts of everyone involved, the Avengers, the Titans, SHIELD, the X-Men, and others proved too much for the Coluan android to keep going further.

As Rick Astley continued to blast all over the vessel, the skull-ship had started to make its descent slowly into the Atlantic, slowed by Power Girl's attempts against the hull.

As the others gathered as many of the captured cities as possible Brainiac mothership had been blasted to hell and back, and was now about to make it's swan dive. The Quinjet, T-jet, flying heroes, and lantern bubbles escaped the massive ship's crashing. The Hulk doing all he can to rip and tear to his heart's content as he makes sure this ship cannot come back to haunt the Earth. A massive splashdown, and descent into the depths below, deep deep below.
